Great venue . Good sound . Old cinema with lots of character. Plenty of parking around the city centre Good atmosphere and some corking bands have been booked for future dates

The layout is pretty much the same as it was in the nineties but the toilets are miles better. Watched Sepultura and Raging Speedhorn. Fantastic gig which was well organised. The security and bar staff were really friendly. Will definitely be doing more gigs at The Tower.

A well-located venue, right by a train station. It has an expansive main hall and is good for live events. Not much seating. £5 minimum spend on cards at the bar. Toilets are on the rough side, they need to ensure that there's soap. Bar staff are good here.

After reading some reviews was a bit worried about going here for New Year's Eve but had bought tickets so saw it through. I did not need to worry. Staff were polite and friendly and very helpful. It is an old building adapted to a nightclub so it's a mix of old and new. There was no sticky carpet but any carpet would be sticky at some point in a nightclub wouldn't it? I mean, it's a nightclub lol not YOUR lounge lol. The downstairs was all vinyl floor covering. Crowd was mixed so some revellers, some drama queens but mostly people out intending to have a great time. We had a good laugh and I really enjoyed it. It's a nightclub - it is what YOU make it, surely. DJs were good, sound system was surprisingly good quality. Only reason I can't rate anything 5 star any more is that I have been to Fabric London. It is all relative, really but nothing compares to that. My experience of Funktion, Hull is that it is a good club and well organised. Thankyou guys for a really good night! We will be back!

Great place for smaller gigs

Had some really good night outs at this place. You get a good mixture of electronic music to dance to. Ticket prices are to suit every budget. Cheap drinks

Went to The Tower for an Hour back in 1998. Told them it was my birthday and got a free bottle of "fizz",which a friend and myself downed. The next day was awful. Might have been aided by the 6 triple gins in 45 minutes at Sharkeys and what ever concoctions I was drinking in LAs but all in all a cracking night out in Hull!
