This is what a venue should be like! A valued Independent gig venue!
Stage driving, crowd surfing get up with the band! What's not to like about that? Reminds me of gigs back in the 90s/ early 00s before security was paramount!
Beer spirts prices are reasonable and they have quite a variety! They even have non alcohol drinks for the die hards!
Good open space for smokers in the courtyard too , although if it rains ya get wet!
Loads of local band on and even the big ones!
Go and support this place! its ace!

Went to see Grade 2 here and had a great night. Decent intimate venue. You get close to the band. Toilet. Bar. Staff friendly. The band were friendly. What else can you want? On the edge of the city centre, but very easy to walk to from the city centre pubs. Has a good choice of bands that play here.

Great venue. Reminded of the sadly departed Duchess of York.
Friendly staff, decent prices at the bar, and the sound for such a small venue is very good.

Great venue , Friendly Staff! Had a great night out.

Wanna be close enough to smell the sweat off the guitarists feet? This is the place for you! Epic local venue with some serious talent that plays there. Good bar, no barriers, and everything a music venue should be.
K. C.
Went to an amazing gig on Halloween and they played music after and kept the bar open. Such a unique place, great atmosphere
D. G.
What a great venue. Proper DIY vibe, great staff, small and loud (the venue not the staff :-) ). Recommended!
A. C.
Great standing gig venue with a good-sized outdoor area, and indoor bar area with good selection of drinks and merch. It's got alternative vibes and the sound quality was great - I'd definitely go again.
For people who are still being COVID-cautious: the venue did not check whether we had a negative test/immunity before entry (although correspondence said it was recommended). I was a little surprised by this since the venue seemed to be at capacity, but a good time was had by all regardless!

First time here, and it was such a fab venue! Great night, thank you!
N. C.
Great venue, really nice staff and a pleasure to play!
I. B.
Brilliant independent venue. Loads of drink choices at decent prices (including AF choices). Big outside area and loads of sanitiser stations.
Check out their gig listings. They're a busy bunch.

An amazing venue. Great staff. Reasonably priced drink. Tiny intimate venue. If you like your music up close and personal this is the place to go.
C. S.
A good sized venue, felt intimate but not tiny. Well stocked bar and nice outside area. Bit of a weird place to get to, having to go through another venue it felt.
A. H.
An amazing live music venue with 3 separate rooms. Sound tech is a genius as far as making the bands sound amazing and above all, LOUD!
L. B.
The best DIY punk venue we've had in Leeds since 120 rats. Great for gigs and parties.
K. D.
Love the venue, the food and the cheap drinks. A must go and enjoy.
B. C.
Great diy style venue. Cheap drinks, good gigs

Great little club, still improving.

Went to Boom last Sunday to see the brilliant Riptide, and was impressed with Boom. Small venues are great for new and upcoming bands and Boom is a little GEM.

Great little independent venue, works really well for an intimate show. Well stocked bar and food is often available (there's a cafe during the day). Nice staff. Overall it's not corporate or flashy but it's really nice.
S.
Strange but also very interesting layout. The sound is mostly alright but some of the smaller stages could do with more attention. Drink prices are fairly and the bar staff are quite friendly. The backstage rooms upstairs are also reasonable and accommodating.

Liked it, good music venue.

Great venue for intimate gigs and events.
Highly recommended. This is secluded and a bit of a distance from the usual city night spots but well worth making the effort. If you are into the bands or events that are put on here you will have a great time.
R. H.
Good to be back after a long closure. Boom have carried out some worthwhile upgrades whilst retaining all that made this such a great venue. Just get down there at every opportunity and support the return of live music.
D. p.
Hot smelly sweaty loud cramped. An absolutely brilliant venue. Dark and dingy and bloody fantastic. The toilet is a trough in the little bin yard. It's easy to turn your nose up at places like this but you just can't beat it for live music. Will 100% be back. Bloody brilliant.

My favourite venue in Leeds. The venue is exactly what I imagine the legendary videos of American hard-core bands might film a video at. Imagine a municipal waste video.... it looks like it could have been filmed somewhere like temple of boom. Great alcohol selection and band choices are spot on. They keep getting bigger and better acts down. 5*

Temple of Boom is a little bit of a hidden gem. It's one of my favourite places in Leeds. Punk , hardcore , metal. Vegan kitchen. Wrestling matches. If you're into any of that , Temple of Boom should be on your radar. Toilets surprisingly clean.
L. U.
Best metal venue in Leeds!
R. S.
Very good venue excellent prices
B.
An excellent little venue. I think it's going to be moving soon but the current location is great, the gig rooms are well sized and the staff are always lovely.
S. 5.
Amazing place. It's like a different world once you walk in. Awesome gigs and loads of character. Booze is cheap as well.
Temple of boom is special.
Would be nice to have parking somewhere close.
J. A. C. (.
Strange venue, but awesome. Went to see death metal legends Suffocation. Entrance on a back street into a Victorian mill with a yard between two terraces. Wrestling matches on side, bar and band the other. Vegan grub available, beer cheap - cash only of course. Gig was amazing. Would love to return soon!
K. A.
I loved this venue! Great spaces to hang out while not watching the band, good variety of food and drinks and a really warm welcome!

Great DIY venue. Constantly improving and upgrading for the past few years so it's always getting better. Probably the best gig space Leeds has to offer 👌
T. M.
One of the best DIY venues I've been to in the UK, bar none. This place reminds me of some of the amazing DIY spaces in e.g. Germany or Sweden. There's multiple rooms, a really good cafe, and a sense of organisation that sometimes can be lacking in this kind of place. Toilets are horrendous, but you can't have everything :).
F. D.
Awesome for music lovers at both the temple and at the Meatlocker next door. Could do with a better selection of booze other than the student favourites, but still not too bad at all.
D. b.
Great venue ideal for its purpose, fantastic fresh made vegan food at reasonable prices, bar staff were patient, competent and friendly . prices of alcohol were very good and a fine selection, crowd were friendly can't wait to go again!
A. W.
Awesome venue and space. The food here is great; all vegan too. Tried the fried mac n cheese which was ace. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

Saw Doyle at this great venue. Is got everything a rock club needs!
A. G.
Can't believe Tidal wrestling will only have one more show at Boom.
I love the atmosphere here and how everyone is so close. A must see experience.
B. D.
Great spot for punk gigs, with bar, outside Alley/smoking area and little side rooms for band merch and what not if you aren't keen on the current band or just need a change of scenery.
K.
Great venue, really friendly staff
S. S.
One of my favourite venues in the UK. DIY to the bone, great rooms, decent vegan food, awesome feel about the place. I love it.
P. B.
Effectively looks like the basement of a serial killer, yet somehow that only adds to the charm. Cash only and a limited choice of drinks (and toilets) yet I still had a good time - probably helps that there were a few bands playing!
c.
Awesome!! Fantastic venue, staff at the door and the bar were super friendly and chatty, definitely recommend.......
H. N.
My absolute favourite and best live music venue in the UK. Real DIY. So many wonderful memories.

Not what I was expecting as a venue. Bloody freezing when I went there! The bits I saw were in what seemed to be the basement of old mills. It was also in a state of refurbishment.
