Reviews of Afrikiko Bar Restaurant & Club
D. &. G.
When I first walked into the restaurant I actually thought I was in the wrong place. Walked in from the back entrance straight into the bar and they were playing constant Mexican music. I didn’t feel as if I was in a Ghanaian restaurant at all. So I had previously booked the table which thank God I did since the new post lockdown regulations you don’t get to be seated without making prior bookings. Even though there were lots of empty tables. So I ordered Nigerian Fanta with jollof rice and beef stew. I really enjoyed the stew and the jollof was nice too. There was also an order of banku with okro soup. The okro soup tasted lovely! Last but not least there was another order of banku and tilapia. The atmosphere was different as I think the place was rented for a bunch of people who were into Spanish, Mexican music so that’s what they played throughout. I was expecting a bit of authentic Ghanaian, Afrobeats music but got none of that. In all 10/10 highly recommended this restaurant as staff were really lovely and attentive and food was great!

My friend took me to this restaurant for my first time last month, i was on holiday in London. I ate their jollof, tsofi and kelewele, it was amazing, marvellous, great and what else ? Enjoyment!! I am in love with this restaurant and their food was soo plentiful. I mentioned it to all my friends in London and in Italy.
I was so exicted, so i went there for the second time with my brother and other friends.
Their menu and site are full of different and many dishes, it reminds me my home-land Ghana. The location was lovely with some afrobeats that accompany you while you are savoring and enjoying your dish.
The service was excellent, helpfull and very careful of the costumer needs.
I will definitly go there again and try the fufu, banku and the akyeke!!

They have the best Okra. At one point I was addicted to it, and couldn’t get enough. It’s a shame that they don’t deliver to my new place, but I’ll definitely visit the restaurant soon.

I enjoyed my dinner at Afrikiko restaurant, where very good African dishes were served. I love healthy food, so i ate an amazing jollof with salad and the sugarcane juice, i expecially reccomend to you the juice for the various proprietes.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. The food was amazing and brought me back to the memories of looking forward to going to Grandma's house, because dinner there was the greatest! The authenticity and mouth watering taste of the dishes served here deserves more than 5 stars. There was a pleasant addition to the menu, as they now serve sugarcane juice 😋

A lovely chill out spot where you dine wine and fully entertained with live performance

Had the pleasure to eat Ghana jollof rice which I was longing!! It's very good!
And with the salad and turkey tails combo you actually get a lot for your money.
The portions are generous and the food very tasty. I was back for fufuo and peanut soup and no disappointment was found!
The location has recently been refurbished and I love the atmosphere and new lighting!
They now also sell sugar cane juice so that was a plus!

I was at the restaurant at the weekend and had my favourite banku and okro. It was finger licking good!
My friend's jollof and Turkey tail tasted just like homemade and the portion was huge.
I tried the new sugarcane juice... very refreshing.
The ambience was lovely and the music was just right.

Not a bad restaurant decor wise. However, the excessive waiting time for an order to arrive should be improved. The availability of menu items can also be challenging at times hence this should be worked on. The quality of the food however makes up for the long waiting time for those who stay calm for the food to arrive.

This restaurant has Delicious African food. The sizes are good and don’t forget to get the sugarcane juice when you go there. Overall good experience.

The best restaurant! Affordable pricing too !
I always bring my friends here and they love it !
The only bad thing about this place is that their card machine hardly works so 99% of the time you have to bring cash. Also there is always a long wait to order (40% of the time they don’t acknowledge you, you have to call when you are ready) and serve (food takes almost 30mins + ! But oh my when it arrives it is absolutely worth waiting )
I usually call in before like 20mins before arriving and order. Just so it can speed up things.
The same dish I always get which I recommended- Jollof rice with either tilapia fish/ Turkey .
There is limited parking - about 4-5 spaces (mostly taken up by staff)

Excellent service. Delivered great quality food for a large order.
Food was full of flavour, warming and kept us going during a long day. Definitely recommend.

First time coming here on a sunday.
Was fairly quiet however all staff stare at you as you enter which isnt very welcoming at all. The waitress that I had never really conducted herself as a waitress. Aside from the " uniform " the customer service wasnt good - i couldn't understand anything that was said.
Portions are huge!

Food was tasty and came quick - even though they had a full party going on. Staff were friendly and efficient. Music was a little loud to talk over, but it was music we liked!

Food took a while to come and electricity switched off twice. I'm assuming because of covid and short staff that's why there were problems but the server was understanding when people sent food back for taste or being overcooked
E. A.
I liked their food. But I think the place should be improve. Also the music wasn't nice, they have to play nice African music so that we can feel at home and all the leakage should be repair. Other than that the food is nice. The Tilapia was nicely cleaned and grill and the person who did the banku is a very expect person. I told my sister the person might come from volta or fanti. Thanks a lot

Very expensive drinks. Food was just ok, not the best I've tried. But the waiting time, oh God.... It took ages....3 stars (was considering 2) coz of opening times and dates (the only opened African restaurant in the area on boxing Day)
