Reviews of Alexandra Palace Ice Rink
C. M.
My kids r 5 and 4 years old, it was their first time, first half an hour they had fun, but then got tired and wanted to change their snowman ⛄ and penguin 🐧 for another one where they could sit and not push. We had good fun, but probably will wait another few years till kids get ready, so we adults can have some fun too and not only pushing kids 😂🥰

Very good ice rink in London. One of the cheapest. Big and spacious. Just don't buy any food in the cafe because they will rip you off. £6.5 for one small piece of pizza. It's an absurd. Stick only to the ice skating and you will be fine.
M. B.
Booked a private session for my daughter's first ice skating experience. Not extremely organised as ww had no instructions where to. Extremely the teacher and everyone I asked would say sth different. After finally finding her teacher, quite frustrating as there was no secluded area for beginners and everyone kept bumping on to her.
D. J. M. L.
Fantastic ice rink for everyone: beginners and advanced and children and adults all can have fun here! The indoors and well manage setting is a plus
L. S.
Very convenient location, but it’s always really packed, so it’s hard to skate. Also the rentals need a bit of maintenance and sharpening. I’ve been also attending the ice lessons and while the lessons are okay, the sessions to practice after the lesson are completely overcrowded, it’s impossible to perform any elements
Z. R.
Went ice skating with my daughter. Prices were very reasonable and online booking was easy. Convenient car park. I had coffee and my daughter had chips at the cafe, both were nice and reasonably priced. The while process from coming through the door, getting skates and getting on the ice was smooth. We enjoyed the skating and the fact that it was indoors. The skates were a good fit however I would recommend you bring long thick socks to cushion the astic edges of the skates. Overall great experience, its my favourite ice skating place now.

Ice skating itself was great fun. Parking was easy and free (we paid the optional £3). COVID safety measures were mostly good, requiring proof of vaccination or negative lateral flow test before admission.
HOWEVER ... There were two big issues.
(1) Under 18s not required to show they were negative. With vaccination and lateral flow tests available to young people why not keep everyone safer by checking everyone?
(2) Masks were mandated on admission until customers were on the ice, but nobody was enforcing the policy. We were verbally abused by a young couple who we'd challenged for being mask-less in the very crowded and airless changing area. They admitted that they didn't have masks, in spite of having been informed in advance that they wouldn't be let in without one.
I felt very unsafe being in a crowded changing area with people who were not wearing masks and could very easily be infectious.
Oh, and the staff handing out the ice skates were rude.
Overlooking the issues and entering into the festive spirit, we had a great time. But I would not go again while mask wearing policy is not taken seriously and test status is meaningless.

Alexandra Palace is lovely. Been there numerous times but for the first time seen hockey game Haringey huskies Vs Lee Valley Lions and it was fantastic! Go Huskies!
R. E.
Had a great time here. Good service, friendly staff. Clean and well maintained. A fun place for ice-skating and a day out with children. Only reason why i gave it 4 starts is because they didn't have payable lockers for bags/coats.
F. L.
I love this place. Highly recommended. Arrive on time for entry,10 mins before doors open and you can avoid the long waiting time.
E. S.
A great ice rink in an amazing location. Helpful, cheerful and really efficient staff :) During the weekend its pretty overcrowded!
It would be great to hold the caff open a bit longer after the last session for refreshments...
K. a.
Very nice venue in a very historic building. Prices weren't too bad.
The only snag is there aren't any lockers to put our stuff in.
Would still recommend.
I. L.
The Ice Rink at Alexandra Palace offers a skating experience in totally unique surroundings. The character and charm of the historic building creates an ambiance and mood that cannot be matched anywhere else in London.
Featuring a large cafe area with views across into the rink through the beautiful grand arch windows so you can continue to soak up the vibe even when downing a hot coffee.
V. L.
Nice rink, we had 1.5h worth of skate time, the toilets were ok, but the skates are quite uncomfortable!
Would still come here but maybe invest in my own skates if I plan to go ice-skating more than twice
I. M.
The ice rink is quite big, nice music and atmosphere. We went on a Saturday but didn't have to wait long to get in and it wasn't really busy. The ice rink is well monitored and there's people happy to help if someone falls or struggles. We left our car right outside, in their parking space. They ask for a donation to use the parking space but it's so convenient! We'll come back again!
F.
Friend and I went here. It’s a nice rink and we had so much fun but the people working here are so scary and intimidating. Also hate how the shoes smell yuck.
s. g.
Took the children here today. Its been years since we have been. A good session, reasonably priced, thoroughly enjoyed...Some of the skates need to go in the bin though...
A. ..
I really love this place. Big area to skate, not too crowded and friendly staff.
L. W.
The Ice Hockey is great fun. Easy to pick up and get involved with. People were actually talking to one another - felt a little out of the London norm.
E. D.
Started off really nice really fun and exciting but half way through the session it got way to crowded for children to skate safely. The young guy that was supposed to be watching out for people and making sure everyone was safe was skating way to fast and in fact was putting children in danger. The first half an hour was good after that I was holding my breath waiting for an accident to happen. In fact the employee that was whizzing around like a maniac did bump into a child he was lucky that wasn't my granddaughter.
A. Y.
My wife was very keen to experience ice skating for the first time. I booked her a 'coffee morning' session for beginners from 10:30am to 11:00am with full access to public session from 11:00 to 12:00. Gary Jones was her coach and we are very pleased with him. The venue is beautiful, inside the palace. Prices are very cheap as it includes skate hire.
E. L.
Kids loved it and it was nice a friendly introduction for a 6 year old who never skated before. This year, they had a choice of seal, snowman and penguin aids who looked so much fun that even teenagers and adults tried to have a go with them. Friendly and attentive staff, always coming to check on those who fall. easy NHS covid pass screening, cafe with hot dogs and hot drinks and a wooden sweets shop. Friendly giddy teenagers, who were careful around small children but not so careful in keeping their face masks on whilst queuing or skating. There is a playground and a pond outside the ice rink where we waited for our session and afterwards everyone dashed to watch the night London skyline with the city looking like a giant Xmas tree :-)
F. M.
Really good spot for ice skating. It's really straight forward from the moment you get there until you're on the ice.
I would recommend booking skate aids before you arrive or at least at the gate when you first arrive. Its inconvenient ti have to go back outside to get one, once you're in.
They have tow types of skate aids, one for small kids 2-4 and another for about 5 - 12 ( all aids help adults too ;) )
V. N.
I enjoyed the ice rink so much I went to two sessions in one day. As someone who loves ice skating it's a decent sized rink. On the plus side when your done there's a lovely view and park right opposite there. It was lovely to sit and wait in the park for the next session. The service is nice and the vibes are cute.
s. s.
One of the best ice hockey stadium in London . Nice seating arrangements, staff is helpful . You can find ample space for parking here . You can come here by bus as well
N. C.
Had so much fun here today, staff were great and attended to those who needed it. Women's toilets too dark though, needs some bulbs in the cubicles.
J. D.
It's good place to spend time with family. Children enjoyed a lot, definitely returning more often.
A. A.
Alexandre Palace Ice Ring is a super place for adults and children. There is an ice cafe where you can sit down for a coffee and watch your loved one skating if your want to be a spectator but you have to buy a spectator's ticket. Staff are helpful and friendly. Also a great view of North and East London.
J. S.
Badly organised. Paid for penguins for the little ones but couldn't find staff to give them out. By the time we all had our skates we didn't get the full hour as the last session overrun.
H. P.
Great place for family. Stunning views. Great skating rink.
T. H.
One Of The Best Ice Hockey Stadiums If Not The Best In London. Great Food And Drinks On Sale. Sometimes We Get Upto 900 Fans At Home Games. Haringey Huskies 🔥
l. p.
Amazing space to ice skate. Well managed attendance (even at Christmas) easy and safe entry and hiring of skates and well maintained ice.
C. T.
Reasonable prices and easy online booking. Convenient car park as well.
T. F.
Good night at the mosconi cup... jugs of amstel and good atmosphere
G. C.
The place is very nice but it was too busy considering the COVID pandemic. Face mask is not compulsory but I choose to wear mine because I wasn't feeling very safe with so many people.
A. L.
Good service, reasonable prices ( £7- Ticket+ £0.50 lockable storage cell (if necessary, most visitors leave their belongings near the ice). Very nice place. Skates aren't very comfortable.
D. B.
Fun 1 hour session. Not busy at all. Many families with young ones and the expected person falling over every couple of minutes. Really good fun! I'll return once lock down has ended in December for sure
H. B. p.
Love ice skating with the kids and free parking. Kids have a great time
M. F.
Great, Amazing, best for all ages, good costumer service, well managed, staff is always there for any help, even inside ice rink,
Nice background music 🎶 🎵
Affordable entry ticket, scatting ⛸ available for hire.
Enough time long session,
Went Sunday eve was perfect
S. H.
Was great for the kids. A little disorganised with queuing for boots, but was okay. Coffee shop staff made awful coffee, need a lot more training.
D. L.
Place is amazing with nice views of London. Great place to spend walking with the family. Not tried the food since the cafes were still closed.
J. B.
great ice rink . staff have no regard for the customers though. going through tight spaces at high speed and scaring you.
t. m.
Good but very hot, and alot of people were admitted, during Covid times, they should have less people.
S. F.
Best ice I've ever skated on. The only problem is it is a bit too crowded so you can't do much other than skate forward and backwards.
P. B.
Awesome place. The one thing that's not great is the rental skates. Mine were terrible today.
C.
Best rink around here can get a bit crowded but apart from that a great place for kids and adults alike
M. S.
Nice experience for the little one's
L. C.
Large ice skating rink and has charm as it is not part of a chain.
Skates included in entrance price.
Skaters of all abilities prrsent, and other skaters were understanding and consideeate to both beginners and the young
We will definitely be visiting again soon.
C. R.
Cool place for ice-skating. It's a place for entertainment and sport activities. I enjoyed a lot!!!😍
T.
I really liked this place, such a nice view from outside the palace, and inside the ice rink is really nice, such a big space! Good service and staff
V. S.
Love that this place is still running. Great staff. Nice surroundings and amazing view.
M. B.
The ice is decent enough and the ground team are good but Phil the manager is obnoxious and abrasive!
The rink needs sorting out too from the netting getting stuck to loose screws along the boards..lastly in this day and age there is really no excuse for not having plexiglass surrounding the rink 🤷🏻♂️
s. c.
Really fun, but expectedly busy for a Saturday morning. Be careful with the skate hire as they are really really uncomfortable
J. “. L.
First time I've been here in years and it wasn't like riding a bike LOL. After a few falls I decided to hang on the sides an leave it to the younger kids.
There's a great one way system in place to keep you safe and sound, which works if people care to follow the rules.
Decent prices and lots of fun for the kid's
P. D.
We had fun. My kids like it.iys big place.book in advance
P. P.
Top place for a great ice skate adventure excellent decor great for photo as well
S. U.
Been here a couple of times as a child, a teen and an adult. A nice ice rink
G. D.
Great place for ice skating. Not too crowded and well maintained.
Parking bit of an issue but only if you get in late.
A. T.
A little outdated, but it’s a really nice full size ice skating rink. This week there is an ice hockey camp and unfortunately the café was closed Mon & Tue, but it’s open today (Wed) until 2pm!
S. A. M. A.
Lovely. If you like ice skating.
M. A.
The staff here do their best and the events they have had on are brilliant too. Not many places have an ice rink in London especially one that has one of the best views of London by long mile or two.
A. B.
First time there with my fiancee and my 5 years old daughter, was a unique wonderful experience .
The little one struggled to keep balance but the small penguin was there to support her . Really good quality music , everything was perfect .
Great family day .
Thank you Ice Rink you made my family happy .
D. k.
It was amazing!!! it was really fun but make sure you go with family and anybody you feel comfortable it's a nice place to bond with others.
K. P.
Very good place to go in sunny weather.
P. B.
Lots of space. But would of liked somebody to help the children, as I was unable to skate due to knee operation.
j. s.
Best local Ice skating ring for kids n adults!!!
And very friendly n co operative staff.....
Must visit and support our local activities after Covid.... Situation...👍👍👍
A. T.
Great place for all year round ice skating. Venue offers lessons which you have to pre-book a term in advance. There are also some brilliant events throughout the year. My favourite is the Christmas show where tickets are a fraction of the cost of larger productions.
A. P.
Brilliant Christmas show. (Nut cracker) staff very helpful and friendly.
O. S.
Kindly staff. Good time with family👪
W. T. L.
Spacious ice rink in a wonderful historical building
m. s.
We had to book in advance due to covid. However, upon turning up, the ice rink was really overcrowded. If we weren't in the midst of the covid pandemic and adhering to social distancing rules, this wouldn't be too much of a problem but it seemed as busy as it would have been pre covid. Either way, skating experience was fine. The skates on the other hand were not so great.
I have large feet (13.5) and they actually said they have size 14 as well. Although the skates fit well, they looked as if they were just saved from a pair of tigers fighting over them. They had several deep scratches, lots of peeling and a crack that almost went right through. The other thing is the skates are so uncomfortable you couldn't make use of your 1 hour timeslot as your feet wouldn't be able to make it that long. In fact, my partner ended up coming off the ice within 30 minutes as he could no longer skate comfortably. I'm sure this is done to make sure you don't stay on the ice too long. However, any ice rink I've been to has had the same issue with the skates they hire. If you want to make the experience as best as possible, invest in your own COMFORTABLE pair of skates.
All that said, I'd probably come back here.
J. P.
Great day was had by all, the Nutcracker suite was first class
B. D.
Always a great place and always so good to see so many people learning and trying something new.
C. H.
Great place been going there since I was a kid.
T. R. (. d. V.
Great place to enjoy with the family!
R. L.
Excellent spacious rink good facilities and parking.
M. b.
Very safe especially for children.
J. L.
Great setup and good value ice skating
G. A.
Was very comfortable and good staff
I. W.
Great venue, steeped in history. Helpful friendly staff
J. D.
Evening is the best time to go. Not busy.
Enjoyed it
J. K.
Had a wonderful time but it's a bit sad that the ice is so rough
L. F.
I’ve been twice and I loved the place , I enjoy very much 💯
H. L.
A fantastic venue for exhibitions and promotional purposes.
S. E.
Fun experience and not very expensive!
A. S.
The best ice rink in the area! Very fast ice, the building and location are absolutely amazing. We had our own skates so can't comment on their rental skates.
S. “. W.
I have been skating here for more than 2 years and I have to say, this is probably one of the best ice rink in London. Staff are friendly and helpful. Even made some new friends at the rink :D. Spectator area and toilets are clean and tidy. The ice cafe has wide range of delicious food. And the ice itself isn't bad at all. Would definitely recommend to come here. :D
v. m.
Very scenic , historic, and very nice for family picnics👍👍👍👍
D. H.
Watched an ice hockey match for the first time. Kids enjoyed it, very reasonably priced.
p. a.
My kid's love it here. My daughter is doing a fast track course for a week. It's very popular, we couldn't believe how many children came. Well worth the money and they get to stay on the ice after the lesson. Would recommend it to everyone
M. K. (.
Very nice place to Ice skate
M. A.
There are no words to explain how flawless this place is the ice rink is beautiful staff are very nice and helpful the price is very reasonable for just £8.00 the lowest I’ve ever seen. The rink side cafe was very good has good snacks for children and adults. Outside the ice rink is a very lively place with lots of singing and dancing and little stools selling very nice and unique items. Overall my visit was very good. There is only one negative thing and that is that the nearest tube station is 30 minutes walk from the place. However parking is perfect
A. B.
Brilliant place to visit for the palace, grounds and duck pond. Good ice skating ring with good music on disco Saturdays and the only let down is the pro skaters darting in and out while your trying to skate because they are literally annoying when you are only a novice. But the blue coated staff don't do or say anything to them because they look like they aren't bothered. But other than that it's a wonderful place to visit so that's why I only gave it 4 stars.
P. D. P.
Absolutely love this place! Went with my girlfriend and her brother to watch Aladdin on ice and we all enjoyed the show! I would come again for the next event.
I also need to dust off my skates and get back on the ice at this place, I have visited many times in the past and have never had any complaints.
a. S.
I used to skate there in early 90 s for many years till moved to Brighton. I’ve got in touch with Patrick who used to work in skate hire. There was a Irish skate guard Irene think her name was and a good skater friend John. You all would known me as Spike back then. If you can remember me get in touch. Adrian
M. s. A.
Amazing place and option for do something different!
T. A.
Great place. Very cold wear a jacket because it is colder in the spectators seating area. It is £8.20 on Eventbrite for children under 16, to watch your children is £1.50 you get a £1 off your hot drink.
B. K. M.
Big ice rink and enough time for first timer to gain confidence and leave the fence. Booked the tickets online. So there was no queue to get in. And this was on Boxing Day. It's open through the year!!!
Alexandra Palace is a beautiful location. One can see the skyline of London and what a captivating sight it is in night!!
S. P.
Was great fun at the ice rink. Population wasn't too high either. Very affordable
a. b.
Lovely large skate space in an atmospheric venue. Free parking on site. Skates are not in the best of condition, very bad laces and old hard plastic with lots of wear and tear. Online ticketing was well worth it as only cash at desk with one atm and a long queue
P. N. I.
A wonderful arena ,that fails to change with the time. "Its not always about money" but for newcomers, it can be very dangerous. Thus a Health Safety Protocol. An ice rink introduction via a member of staff on the ice should have been a courtesy available Free. You simply ignore Feedback.
u. s.
Need your own skates if you want to avoid blisters. Gets a bit crowded with learners & annoying with the weaving pros.....once you get the hang of the rink it can get a bit boring after the 108th lap....needs a bit more excitement to it or maybe I made the mistake with the open skate time. Good fun for kids.
B. L.
My grandchildren had a wonderful 2 hours on the ice. Skates were available for hire and it wasn't crowded on the day we went. Nearby is the boating lake and childrens play areas. They were just about to open the old TV studio's to the public. Parking was plentiful and free. We will be going back.
A. Y.
A bit disappointing that you don't get the entire rink to skate on. The middle part is reserved for lessons, and one of the sides for parties. Pricey, especially those little penguins for children.
The ice was also pretty chewed up because of how crowded it was when we visited (12:30 PM on a Sunday).
The venue itself is very pretty, and the skates for hire were not bad.
R. S.
Too crowded on the weekend, even on the 11:30 sessions and we cannot use the whole ice rink as one corner was reserved for the kids’ lessons/birthdays and the middle ones also was reserved for the older kids/adults lessons. The ice quality is also not the best. It turned to be snow quite fast. Moreover, the tickets are £10 at the door and there’s no difference for the tickets price whether you have your on skates or not.
G. K.
Great fun! The only down side is the skates are ankle breakers
d. e.
Great ice rink. The best time to go is on Sunday at 8:30. Less people, more space to skate.
Is better to have your own skaters. The skaters they give not so comfortable.
Enjoyed skating very much.
N. K.
Good sized rink, plenty of space but does get very busy so arrive early. The lessons are really nice. The easiest parking is the East parking ,next to BBC Towers and parking is free!
C. R.
Went for the Sunday morning skating session and had a great time. Not too busy and very efficient getting skates from the hire window. Didn't try the cafe but was conveniently located next to the rink. Easy to park outside as well.
L. S. B. (.
It’s a great place to visit, highly recommended.
(But not when the staff member Mr Philip Mayer is on side, as he will make sure to destroy the lovely atmosphere.)
L. P.
I always enjoy coming here. Staff are really attentive and observant when people fall/injure themselves. But the disco night or whatever its called can be a mislead. I dont think there is much of a difference from day time skating.
K.
The kids loved it. However 4 star purely due to the lack of the little penguins to aid the little ones whilst they learning. But other than that will be back soon.
J. T.
Very organised and tidy rink !
I always normally go to an ice rink in south London so Alexandra Palace was a bit far but nice and neat! But a bit far from station so I would not walk after dark, or use bus W3.
Toilet had 3 cubicles but 2 is broken so only 1 toilet for ladies today, that should be addressed for peak time during Christmas ( if the last one broken, only disabled toilet available?)
I always write about toilet but it is one of the most important thing to feel comfortable.
Cafe was ok. Tea was decent but panini was not cooked properly and most of food was already running out at 2 pm ( when last session closed at 1.30). I am sure afternoon customer will have some also , so it is a bit weird.
Lockers are available ( even each time you need to pay 50 pence in 50p coin so be prepared, there is no change machine, but probably they can ask cafe? not sure.)
I just like the place , nice and not dirty, and very spacious! ( but toilet should be fixed soon).
G. K.
Had a very fun time with family.
However visitors may aware that there would be quite a long queue (20 minutes+) before the reception, even you have purchased an online ticket. Also queueing again in order to hire skate boots approx 20 minutes...

Very good place to go for entertainment
S. A.
I loved it so much I might take time and do skating each week (not today as we spent a bit too much on foodie time this week). It’s spacious, nice, easy to access, it’s not packed, well priced. All great ! Only one thing is they don’t check if you have skated before and don’t give you a hazard brief as there are many ! So I assume they have a great public liability insurance or customers without knowing are taking all risks ?
Cause a lady fell and her finger got cut from a blade. So our friend that has been playing hockey told us - if you fall on your back cover your hands and face and just try to get up as soon as possible. If you fall on your front again cover hands and face if you have skaters around and get up ! It’s a sharp blade and it’s dangerous. So just a brief of what some important moves would be useful for newbies. But the experience was great !! Thanks Ally Pally 😊
R. C.
Such a beautiful ice rink, great staff, clean and so much fun for the kids. Lockers available and quick food, drinks. Highly recommend!
V. S.
Went there for the Halloween fireworks. Entrance was £12.50 and the ticket for roller skating was a further £9. Nice atmosphere and it was great skating again. Would really recommend!
N. W.
Good value for money with sessions lasting two and a half hours, meaning you can take regular breaks off the ice and visit their reasonably priced cafe.
Tip: if you have pre bought tickets, you can go straight to the front, even though it seems like you have to wait in another queue
V. A.
Cool place. Perfect ice. Skates are very dumb, it is better to come with your own. I would like music a little louder in the hall. Friendly staff. Thanks, we have a lot of fun 👍😀😁
X. X.
Ice was how I like it, cold and hard
S. D.
Great ice skating. Coffee mornings are good value for money on Wednesday and the coaches are brilliant. I highly recommend any one looking for something fun to do to go check it out.
P. W.
Amazing setting for my daughters ice hockey game. The entire site is full of history and has a view of most of London. Particularly stunning at night.
乂.
Amazing! I go here 1 time a week and this music is great if you like pop music! Also great experience when it’s getting darker since there are disco lights! Beautiful place, totally recommended.
T. W.
My 6yr old daughter won a raffle prize for 2 people to go ice skating at this lovely venue. We arrived and paid for 2 more people. We got the skates and lockers all sorted out and were on the ice for nearly 1 hour and 40 mins. This is probably a just right for first timers. It was a pubic session and got less busy in the last 30 mins. Really enjoyed it and my 6 yr old would have benefitted from the support structure that they have for those who have never ice skated before. Draw back here is that you had to pay for it at reception, which ones you have your ice skates on is a hassle to have to take off just to pay for something at reception. Next time.
C. J.
Really cool to be present during a class of skaters both female and later male going through their paces. All uniform and conscientious in practice. Amazing to watch the grace on th3 ice floor.
A. D.
Come here most weekends to support local ice hockey team, Huskeys. Venue is fine, if a little outdated. There's not an awful lot of money being pumped into the place though so it's understandable. Always worth a visit to see the great city view.
A. W.
I come down the rink often to practice my skating and watch our local ice hockey team Haringey Huskies. Always a solid time! Could improve by putting more staff on the bars and ice cafe on game day as it's always pretty rammed and you end up not bothering
M. T.
Decent place for ice skating, nice food. Good sized ice rink. Nice place for a family visit granted it's during a quieter hour. Experience can be tainted by the odd teenagers playing tag.
J. C.
Very good ice rink but it was far too crowded (Sunday afternoon). There must have been a hundred people on the ice which made it very difficult to enjoy the experience.
J. F.
Good atmosphere and nice staff. Prices are fair and food was good too. Shoes quality could be better and also must have a 50p coin to use lockers. (You can't get change at reception)
O. L.
Lovely place to spend a family day out))
M. S.
Let's go Huskies, Let's go! A staple of every local child's upbringing, I have spent many a year enjoying the Ice rink on open rink days, think the usual, loud and chaotic scenes of kids darting around, amped on sugary drinks while parents practice their circular controlled skating. Lots of friendly and helpful staff, with the usual leasure centre style cafeteria and vending machines. Most importantly to me however is later, when on home games, you can watch the local ice hockey team play. I mean, where else in London can you do that? Watching a game is a must for any interested in the sport as well as those looking for an unusual start to a night out. The have a full Bar open, with reasonable prices and friendly staff. Getting more popular with every season. The catering amenities queues can get a bit ridiculous, but it's great to see such growth for the team.

People at Ally pally please buy new ice skates, ones I was given totally destroyed my feet. Once you've done that, hire new receptionist, current one sounds incredible unintrested in her job and as if she is doing you a favour by answering the phone.
Only giving 3 starts because it's legendary Ally Pally and we love this place.
P.
Ice rink surface hevaily damaged due to usage. Very crowded (nobodys fault) . Slough is better and cheaper. 3 stars for very nice service of young people who work there.
N. R.
It was first experience for my son! And it was amazing!
S. M.
Love going to watch the ice hockey here. Six quid a ticket, a great night out. Dress up warm, have a few drinks and cheer the Haringey Huskies on (they need your support, they're pretty bad at the moment!).
M. W.
The Gallery is great. I love the vast collections. But the experience is spoiled by the amount of people wanting to take selfies for Instagram who think you are in the way because you want to look and the painting and read the notes.
s. d.
Great place...just a little dissatisfied with the fact you need to pay if your not skating too. Overall, great value for money and all the family enjoyed themselves
C. C.
Needs updating but good fun
M. H.
Alexandra Palace is a great place to head out and ice skate while not being too expensive. All-year-round, it can get quite busy during the weekends and after school hours, but during school weeks and early, you essentially get the whole rink to yourself.
R. R.
Wonderful. The match was not great, but the experience was amazing. The food is 10/10, make sure to get the hotdogs. I thought it would be very cold, but it actually was quite nice :)
J. L.
Wonderful! We absolutely love Ice Skating and Ally Pally is a fabulous place to go. Good value, lovely staff, a historic venue and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!
I. G.
Good time for less money
C. L.
Nice venue but always seems super busy. Fun at an affordable price for family's. Staff on hand should they be needed with a friendly atmosphere
A. S.
My pre-covid experience of this ice rink is fond, they have bathrooms, seating, as well as a cafe.
M. F.
Lovely views from North London, Ice ring at the Palace big a not crowded this morning, glad to see that Council is refurbishing the Old Theatre at the Palace, plenty of free parking near the BBC Studios, the dog love it running around following the birds!!
N. S.
Well run, well staffed ice rink in an historic and interesting building. I winessed someone being given first aid on the ice after a fall during a public skating session. The incident was very well handled.
L. M.
Come here to watch the haringey huskies at home.
L. O.
It's the people's ice rink!
N. N.
It's good and teal fun but make sure you choose a size bigger than your usual because I got my size and i got my legs cut on both sides
J. W.
Great fun.. Spacious.
F. M.
Fun ice skating rink and lovely cafe!
B. L.
Visited many times, can’t keep me away!
A. J.
Went for a kids party, great place lots of fun
G. M.
Always creates good memories
R. H.
Nice setting with decent hire skates. Poor system for getting skate hire led to long que. Very crowded on the day I attended so slow skating only.
B. M.
Staff very friendly, good size and quality ice rink. Though the deco is a bit shabby and untidy needs a revamp in the surrounding area.
N. S.
Best place to spend your free time, when it's pretty hot outside
J. F. M.
Wonderful ice rink - very well maintained, and taken care of with great facilities and courteous staff. Will definitely visit again
Z. M.
Ice skating is such a joy for the whole family. This place is clean, polite and professional. A wonderful place. I recommend it.
D. J.
Looks good, for adults it is 10 pounds with skating gear too. They also have a nice cafe outside rink.
V. H.
very old building lots of character, ice rink spectator are ample, toilets clean ,warm food ok too ,on the hill so have a good view of the surrounding areas
X.
Free parking which is a bonus. Staff were helpful and friendly. The ice rink is nice and big, plenty of space to skate comfortably.
M. P.
Best ice rink
A.
It's really nice, u can take the bus in Finsbury Park Station, there they have luggage storage and coffee shop.
A. K.
The staff and couches are good , the only thing I don't like is the skating shoes are not comfortable also its difficult to find the right size.
k. p.
Big spacious ice rink and great value for the price you pay. Always great on the weekends when they play music whilst you skate!
M. R.
With the new redecoration the palace will be retro from outside and techno iside. Can't wait until it's finished. Fantastic ice-rink too.
L.
I attended for a kids party and found staff and service very friendly and quick however facilities were mediocre. Tables were filthy, there were far too many people on the ice and the party facilities were merely a table and food.
D. C.
Great place for kids
R. L.
Is okay. Lea Valley more friendlier. I only go on a Sunday chill out evening as its the only rink open at this time. Music could be better too.
H. E.
Ice skating is very fun.
The ice is slightly bumpy.
And the ice skates are pretty worn in.
But still a good experience at a good price.
M. R.
Very busy public session, but well worth the price and travel. Our family thoroughly enjoyed it.
N. M.
Great family place
P. r.
A nice place to visit with family or friends. There are lots of things you could do here check on their website for more info
j.
Great place, great fun but little bit to crowded. Lockers should be upgraded. Regards
L. A.
Ughh... Okay so no... The prices are okay but its really crowded almost at all times and the place doesn't look that good nor clean. It's practical but there's not much to it.
E. R.
Brilliant time with party of children and family. Staff lovely and helpful.
Food very bland and expensive.
R. W.
Our most favourite place in north london...

Great concert hall!
N. R.
Beautiful ice rink. Stunning place for a Christmas skate with your partner or family
M.
Great couple of hours of fun and plenty of things to do in the park before or afterwards. The views over London are beautiful too.
J. B.
It was super busy and seemed a bit of a possible safety problem but it was so bad with the 90s music we still found it fun 😅
I. Č.
Old vintage skates to borrow...only women skates with that teeth in front, so disappointing, when you know to skate, some stuff nice, some rude.
Will not come back
Otherwise nice rink
R. T.
Great place!
M. Y.
Kids had a great time beware if you sit on the stand do not go to the last row if you drop something say good bye to it there is nothing protecting your valuables if you drop it
m. w.
Perfect venue for the antique fair, vibrant, airey light, lots places to have a snack and a drink. A wonderful day out.
a. c.
Ok local venue
I. P.

P. J.
Lovely place.
H. E.
a lovely ice rink, kids loved it. not too busy and has a great cafe.
A. B.
It's good but they let too many people on. But then all ice rinks do that.
S. R.
Timeless and stunning location for ice skating in London
S. P.
Great rink, mainly due to the sheer size of it. Wear thick socks, the skates are rather well worn!
L. B.
Several different types of skating aid for all ages of children, for example 2 sizes of penguin 🐧. Also slot length is 2 and half hours.
U. Y.
Well very nice venue with all the facility, specially kids party perfect
A. P.
Good place to be in if one likes winter sports . A bit crowded in the weekends .
B. L.
Great place to go ice skating, but believe they could do so much more with such a lovely building.
Z. A.
Fantastic fun for all the family, staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend it
P. S.
Good value. Would highly recommend a sit on seal for younger kids who feel uneasy on the ice.

E. N.
Not the best Ice I've ever been on, but I'm Canadian and this is London. Where else in the world can you skate in a building older than the birth place of the very sport you're playing?
M. N.
Great fun but let down by chaotic queuing system and cramped space to get skates
R. X.
Nice big ice ring with penguins for the little beginners. Could do with new hire skates though
J. S.
Saw an ice hockey game here. Good atmosphere will be going back.
M. A.
