As an instructor/coach myself (shooting,) I really appreciated the professionalism and passion for their sport that Kevin and Batoul showed. The safety aspects were handled firmly but gracefully and the technicals were taught from true expertise and with some humour! We were a relatively large group of first timers but we all got a lot of bow time and came away happy and inspired to take this sport/art further. Booked a private, 2 person adult lesson for my boyfriends 23rd and I was NOT disappointed! Lee got back to me very quickly to book it and get all the documentation sorted out which was great, and even provided directions. Had the hall completely to ourselves since it was a private lesson which made it better for us and it was very covid safe. Our coach, Kevin, was incredible! Super friendly, made it super fun and enjoyable for us and I already want to go again! Highly recommend!

Excellent archery course for beginners. The course was well planned and very comprehensive. Highly recommended if you are starting out and they will also cover archery topics besides shooting (stringing your own bow, attaching sights, barebow, types of bows, tournaments & scoring, archery history, types of arrows, etc...) Extremely knowledgeable and friendly instructors who will successfully guide you on your archery journey for all experience levels.

Fantastic archery club with great instructors and other friendly archers shooting with you! I have just completed my five week beginners course and had a blast throughout. So much so I was eagerly awaiting the next week's lesson as soon as the last one was over and was constantly watching archery videos on YouTube in between lessons (seriously, you'll be hooked!) I particularly want to mention our fantastic instructor Lee, who was patient, very knowledgeable, and above all, extremely friendly. Suffice to say I am now a member of the club and will be attending on a weekly basis to shoot (which also is a fantastic price, including the hiring of bows and all equipment!) So if you are at all interested in archery and can get to this centre, don't hesitate to try a have-a-go session; but I warn you, you WILL get addicted!

We learned the basics of bare-bow shooting, the instructor tailored the teaching to our abilities/needs and there were fun activities and a little competition too. Have wanted to take my daughter to do archery for ages, but due to covid it has been nigh on impossible until now. Luckily, we finally managed to book ourselves on a “have a go” one hour session that caters for absolute beginners, and Lee and his assistant were just wonderful from start until the end. Hosted an archery birthday party for my 10 year old daughter. None of the kids had done it before. They had a brilliant time and are now looking at joining the after school club lessons. Our son celebrated his 10th birthday by taking a beginner class with 10 of his friends. Lee and Kevin were great in getting the kids ready to hit their targets!. All of the kids were very happy and wanted to shoot more. Well organized. Using real bows and arrows and great set of challenges for the kids. The location is an easy walk from the Archway tube stop (Northern line). We highly recommend Experience Archery London for a unique birthday party treat!

A fantastic experience! My girlfriend and I gave the intro session a try and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was friendly and welcoming and quite keen on helping us with stance and technique. Considering it was mainly a taster session, I was impressed with the attention everyone in the class was given. Over the course of 90 minutes we were instructed in the basics, giving us a nice taste of not only the sport, but the club. I would not hesitate to recommend Experience Archery to anyone who's curious about giving the sport a try.

My daughter and her friends had a fantastic time at her birthday party. They really enjoyed the different elements of the party especially using the balloons as targets! Kevin, the instructor, was great! Lee made arranging the party from beginning to end very easy. Having the party at the weekend made parking a lot easier and Caxton House is a good venue.

Lee organised a brilliant archery party in our garden for our son's 9th birthday. The weather forecast was pretty bad, but Lee was able to offer different solutions for most possibilities. We were lucky however, that the rain held off and the kids had a fantastic time.

Both the “Have a go” session and 5 week beginner course were absolutely excellent. The tutors are outstanding, Kevin was extremely knowledgable and friendly on the course, and Lee made the have a go session a lot of fun, so much so I signed up for the course the same evening. They make you feel included and often give you one to one tuition to iron out links in your form. I have genuinely learnt an awful lot over such a short course. The other members are friendly, the equipment is great and overall it’s a really fun experience. I can not recommend this enough.

We had part of my best friends stag do here with Lee and Co, who were very accommodating. We missed our train were running late, they were able to accommodate us and still provide a complete session. We were all beginners and they provided good tuition and the whole session was enjoyable whilst continuously challenging our abilities and improving our skill at archery. They even kindly provided a special something for the Stag! A very big thank you for making this part of the day so special, we all really enjoyed the archery and would love to do it again sometime.

Lee is a really awesome guy. My friend and I couldn't fit into the schedule of the beginners classes so we contacted him and he was happy to setup some private sessions with us. The archery was loads of fun and we are now joining in the regular meet ups during the week but what stood out for both of us is how good a teacher Lee is. He approaches teaching from a variety of angles. He also made sure we understood and performed correctly without over explaining concepts and techniques. Just the right balance, and we are now confident with a bow and arrow :). The venue is great as well with on street parking outside. Highly recommended!

I booked a private session for me and my university friends hoping just to learning new skills and get out of the room but we ended getting so much more than we expected. We all really enjoyed it!! Lee is an excellent instructor making it very enjoyable and relaxing environment to learn archery. After that private session we had, all my friends kept expressing how much they enjoyed and some how they want to start doing it seriously and I think Lee was a great motivator to them. They are problem solvers. The pandemic has made life hard for all but they came to my rescue for my son’s 10th birthday. He loves the idea of taking up archery and I wanted to give him a taster session with a few friends. They are the only company that helped me. They found me a teacher and set up an outside Covid secure session near our home. They boys and husband loved it and really got a flavour of archery. I would definitely recommend them.

It was the first archery experience for 9 out of the 10 children but they had a really good instructor who helped them learn the basics and the session ended with a competition, which they all enjoyed! Taking the 5-week beginner archery course with Lee has been a top 5 decision of all time for me. Right above my decision to start wearing ankle socks (bye tanlines!) and putting my Oyster in my phone case for convenient tapping in and out. Have a Go at archery was not only a well-spent Sunday afternoon but a brilliantly guided insight into this amazingly fun discipline. The instructors Lee and Simon proved to be great at explaining the basics making it very clear and comprehensive for beginners in relaxed and interesting way. I had a really great time learning the basics of archery with Lee & Austin, who were both very knowledgeable and amiable. There was plenty of equipment for everyone to use without having to share, there was enough of a range of bow length & draw weights, and arrows to match. It was also all in good condition which meant there was only my initial lack of skill which needed to improve, which it had by the end of the 5 sessions, which were about 1.5 hours each. I'd highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to get into Archery as you'll be sure to have a good time and be inspired to continue after the course is finished.

I organised a crossbow session at experiencearchery for my friend's hen do and I couldn't be more glad I did - it was the highlight of our whole day! the teacher Austin was great - he made it really fun and helped all of us individually to make sure we knew what we were doing and could shoot safely. We spent most of the session practicing at our own speed, including some balloon target practice! Then at the end we had a competition to put what we had learnt to the test and recieved some lovely medals for our efforts. My friend even received a bottle of bubbly to congratulate her on her upcoming wedding which was a nice touch for a hen party. Austin happily took photos of us throughout the session so we have plenty to remember this brilliant day by. I'd recommend this to anyone as a great activity to go and do - and experiencearchery were perfectly accommodating to us absolute beginners. Thanks again for a brilliant time!

I gifted a 'Have a Go' voucher to my brother for his birthday as he's always wanted to try his hand at archery. I got one for myself as well so he'll have a sparring partner. On the day, we met with Lee who, being the cool, jovial guy that he is, eased us into the session with easy-to-understand instructions on how to handle the bow and arrow as well as acquainted us with safety rules in the shooting range. Lee really made the experience as much fun as it was educational - and insightful! - with a memorable final showdown at the end to top it all off. We both left with a great feeling of accomplishment, which shows how remarkably adept Lee is as a teacher. If you even have a passing curiosity about this awesome sport then Experience Archery with Lee is for you. Give it a shot - literally! - you'll love it!

Just finished the beginner's course, and I have really enjoyed the experience. Both Lee and John are great teachers, experienced and to the point, giving good instructions and quick - but effective - demonstrations and tips. Despite all that, the lessons don't feel formal and everyone is really friendly. On to more technical details, targets are shot from 20 yards (indoors), though the targets are almost one third the distance for beginners in their first lesson and will be pushed back when ready. The bows given are recurve with not so much power (I think it's 18 lbs in the string?) as to enable you to develop your technique without tiring you out too quickly. Overall I definitely recommended to at least try the "Have a Go" session which is almost just like the lessons.

I took my staff on the Day Out in August this year . As apart of the Day Out we booked the archery experience and that was a highlight of the Day. We were 20 Nando's people and looked after by 3 instructors, They kept things simple and entertaining .We had refreshments included and the outside venue was fabulous. We have opportunity to learn how to shoot and at the end they organized 2 competitions. There were individual medals and a trophy for the best team .. My guys loved it and as a team we are even stronger and happier together. I recommend strongly to everyone..

Did the 5 week Beginners Course there and had a great time! Will definitely be continuing with training. We learned about safety when shooting, barebow (no sight) and olympic (with sight) recurve archery, proper technique, how to prepare and handle equipment and at last, how to score. I took part in a 'have a go' session at Experience Archery in May 2013, and on the back of that signed up for the introductory course in June 2013. The 'have a go' was led by Cliff, who was great, gave detailed instruction and set a good pace for the session. The beginners course (5 sessions of 1.5 hours) was led by John, who created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere, and gave clear instruction and feedback. It's obvious that there's a friendly, collegiate atmosphere in the range; the admin part (booking etc) was easy and uncomplicated. I intend to stick with it - it really was a lot of fun.

I was really happy with this beginner course. The instructors' passion for archery was clear and contagious and all the information and help coming from them was extremely useful, given at the right time in the right amount and extremely pertinent to whatever was being addressed. This made it possible to shoot quite a lot of arrows which is definitely a plus. What also made it for me was the approachability and geniality of the instructors and of the more expert archers that were practicing alongside our group always happy to explain help or even just have a chat and a laugh. To summarise Just what you need to get started in archery with the upside of a bunch of friendly people helping you on all aspects of building a new skill in a stress-free environment.

An amazing experience for a 10 year old's birthday party. Very well organised and incredibly safe (given that the kids were all excited to be armed with real bows and sharp arrows!) plus a no-show guest meant that I got to join in and shoot some arrows. Now my friends call me Katniss and my son is the king of birthday parties. Lee and John were great teachers and very patient especially with the children who found it harder. Everyone got a certificate, there were gold, silver and bronze medals for the competition at the end and the birthday boy got a great arrow pen as a special prize. Highly recommended for both boys and girls (and their mothers).
