Superb little jazz venue underneath St Giles Church. We were lucky to see a superb act there too. Cool little bar. Get there early to get a decent view of the stage, and be aware that the trade-off may be a difficult walk to the bar instead!

Great venue. South London jazz stars playing and they serve good food, but get near the front of the queue to get a good table.

Great place, scenic, with great atmosphere. Decent prices. Combined with live music makes up for a good night out.

Just awesome. Lovely friendly staff, really well priced drinks (plus a great range) with a superb and eclectic live music programme. Covid responsible venue with a cool outdoor area, too. Go see for yourself.

Jazz in the Crypt is a London institution, a chance to see excellent jazz concerts at a very reasonable price. It’s a bit off the beaten track for visitors but well worth it. Tip: get there when the doors open because most seats don’t have a view of the stage.

Great little dive. It's very small, you'll probably have a pillar partially blocking your view of the stage, and it feels more like a (erm) crypt, than a glamorous club. It's perfect for a local jazz club.
And the atmosphere, cheap and down to earth drinks, and great value but interesting food make it outstanding.
I don't actually like that much jazz, so I go rarely. But it's a great night out every time.

Exceptional show with eclectic modern jazz, a wonderful way to spend Saturday evening

This would be one of my "secret London" tips for music-loving visitors to London. It's not as glossy or pretentious as other jazz clubs, but it's clearly run by enthusiasts with proper passion. Can't wait for it (and all live music venues!) to reopen after Covid.

Lovely small venue with impressive live performance ! The staff is friendly and passionate!
