Stayed here for three weeks after we had to leave our home due to a fire. It's like home from home, with spacious kitchen living room, hot shower/bath and separate bedroom. Crockery, equipment, dishwasher and washing machine included. Fastest WiFi ever. We had a view of the Shard. The staff are very nice and sent a maintenance person promptly when we had a problem which was great.

I don't normally write reviews, but I had such a wonderful stay at Marlin Apartments at Empire Square that I felt compelled to say something. I rented the studio (suite 20) in the blue building. I have to say that I have never stayed in a room quite so clean. I am very tall so I can easily see on top of mirror frames and picture frames where I always find a small layer of dust. Not this place! Every surface no matter how high it was, was sparkling clean! The suite had nice high ceilings and even a balcony. My only complaint was that the bed was advertised as a King size but only a double in the room so my feet hung off the end. Upon check out I had a very important thing that I really needed help sorting out, I called the front desk and a well spoken man by the name of Dorin went completely out of his way to assist me. Dorin with the assistance of Ana, was able to find the perfect solution to solve my problem and save the day! I can't thank both of them enough! Thank you Dorin! Thank you for Ana! A group of 11 of us stayed here this weekend, the apartments were absolutely amazing, very spacious ,clean and had great views. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, from letting us check in early without any charge to one of our group been unwell and letting us check out later than planned due to this. I would recommend these apartments and would definitely stay here again, great location, close to tube and lots of pubs and resteraunts ... ideal if you don't want the hustle n bustle of been in the centre but close enough to tube to not even notice.... thanks so much to everyone ther ....

This place has the potential to be excellent, but falls short. The accommodations themselves are almost nice- layout of the different flats are great, but the maintenance is lacking. During my two month stay it took almost three weeks for the broken doorknobs, swapped water lines, burnt out lights, broken TV, and broken handles to get fixed. There was mold in one of the bathrooms with a strong musty odor that we asked for help with several times without it ever being addressed. In the evening, don't bother asking for anything important as the desk is unable to help, but if you time it right sometimes you'll get helpful people in the morning. I enjoyed the living room windows and the balcony and the bedrooms were spacious in the flat we had- however their are many different floor plans. The location is convenient as it's next to both the London Bridge and Borough tube stations with several bus routes next door as well. Tesco next door for smaller groceries. I would stay here again, but not without first checking the flat and making sure it's up to par.

Stayed there for 6 weeks on a business trip. Situated near to many business offices. Rooms are decent sized. Kitchen has all required utilities. Bathroom is also good. You get a bathtub. No separate shower area. Walkable distance from tube station and bus stop. Connectivity is good. They do allow parking but that is paid.

The location is perfect, only 2 min walking from the tube station and 5 min to Borough market, 10 min to London Bridge. There is also a smartphone provided to help you to go around London.

Nice clean secured place, I’ve spent about 20 days with my family there visiting London for our 1st time (facilities are very good). Location is also perfect as you can easily get access to London Underground network (Borough station is few minutes walk), with a branch of Tesco supermarket at the ground floor. 5 star experience here in April 2019. The views from level 16 are unparalleled and particularly stunning at night with floor to ceiling glazing allowing panoramic views of the city lights. The apartment itself was spacious and had the right balance of comfort with modern chic charm. The location is ideal with the tube station a stone's throw and the fantastic borough market a 5 minute walk.I would recommend to buy your groceries there and use the great cooking facilities which the apartment boasts. For any essential items we needed there was a Tesco on the ground floor adjacent to the building . 5/5 We will not be wanting for more on our next trip to London when it comes to selecting accommodation.

The owners vision are highly commendable. It's a pity that the management side is somewhat disappointing some of the time. I haven't found the front staff including one or two of their duty managers sufficiently helpful. It is not complimentary when one was not allocated the same room viewed, in the quest of securing an apartment; which are some if the most expensive around. It is so difficult to rely on 'I will get back to you after I've spoken to the manager about your querry'. This is because they will forget all about you the moment one settles down. One most shocking thing to me was having to be refused me entry despite showing5 my room key, and not until a supervisor was invited. I wouldn't even be allowed to get in to take a sip of water. I take serious exceptions to these circumstances at Marlins Apartments.

The apartments took a holding fee and stipulated on the rules that there was to be no noise etc of which we adhered to. The apartments are finished to a high standard and generally well maintained providing extra space and comfort beyond a hotel room. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back.

Overall a very good experience. Excellent concierge team, friendly and helpful. Clean and spacious 2 bedroom apartment, with 2 Queen size beds and a sofa bed. Large living area, small and well equipped kitchen. 2 bathrooms, one ensuite (shower). Tesco metro next door for quick bits when needed. Sky TV, broadband (usable speeds, I think you can upgrade for faster speeds). The only gripe we had was about the beds, in particular the mattresses. One queen was 2 singles pushed together, and the sofa bed had broken springs/support, so you would dip down in those spots. Biggest issue was hard mattresses, especially for those who like to sleep on their side. We wish they had memory foam mattresses like most places do nowadays. It would've been a 5* review, if not for the mattresses. The sofabed was annoying too.

Stayed in flat 72 on the third floor. It had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a living room with a semi-open kitchen and access to the balcony which was more than adequate for the 4 of us staying over the weekend. We booked 48 hours before the one night stay. The positives was that it was a very tidy and clean flat, the parking spaces that were pre-booked at £15.00 each weren't required and the receptionist confirmed a refund will be applied. The negatives were that the receptionist was very rude when I told her I didn't hold any ID (although her colleague was very helpful), the flat itself was extremely warm and the windows in the bedroom can only be opened as a whole, on top of this the mattress was extremely springy and the beds were on wheels which meant they never stayed in one place! The sofa wasn't very comfortable (although I assume it's convertible into a bed which explains a lot) and the TV was what looked like a late 1990's wide screen box which is surprising given how long flat screen TVs have been available. Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 10:30am which isn't ideal as most hotels allow check in earlier and check out later. Overall it was a decent stay however I would recommend the likes of Premier Inn for a cheaper and more comfortable stay.

Totally disappointed. We checked in on 12th October16, apartment is nice, rooms is also really good, but their services are bad. Our room's electric plug point was not working we called so many times till 3 days they used to say we will do in tomorrow morning.. but they didn't come. And during the check in they don't come for demo, services are not good at all.

Missing the little bits that you expect for a room that's £127 per night. Sky box didn't work properly, no hand wash in the bathroom, red splatters on the living room wall and ceiling, curtain partially hanging off the rail and a cheap alternative to a door stopper. Also, couldn't use the sink in bathroom as the plug was stuck in the plug hole. The plus side is it's location and underground parking (£30 per night) and comfortable bed. I could have got better and cheaper in a Travelodge!! It's a pity with and update I'd probably give it a 4.5 or 5.

The place is pretty decent with almost every amenities ranging from TV to dish washer. They do have a 200GBP completely refundable security deposit but that is something of a security policy, nothing to be bothered about.

Location is good as there is a Tesco Express below. Borough station is about 5 min walk away while Borough Market is about a 15 min walk away. After a week in UK was craving rice and chinese food and was pleasantly surprised to find a chinese takeaway place round the corner. Pretty decent stuff such as mapo tofu. Wanton soup was a tad salty though but quite nice after a week of british pub grub, chips and steaks :) The apartment is clean with heating and the ability to wash my laundry meant I could bring just a week's worth of clothing for my 3 weeks there. An in house policy of 'no party' meant no loud noises or unruly guests disrupting your sleep. Concierge is knowledgeable and helpful.

almost new, nice view, big space, well fitted kitchen, nearly downtown, great transporting, good value, polite staff, close to borough station. the beds are a little bit small for queen size(180 *200 cm) - Tesco minimart at the entrance is an advantage - Borough Market nearby opposite of london bridge station - but mind you it does not open all week - a must see for any one staying on long lane street. Katalin, the building Manager and Christina from reception are just awesome people - friendly and so huggable :). what could make your stay better than that - well really nothing -quiet place - friendly smiles - wish that the beds were a little bit bigger - but I guess this is london -European bed dimensions :( all in all - very good value for the money. Marlin apartment is an excellent place in central/South London. Has a Tesco right next door. Borough station is 2mim walk, London Bridge is 10m walk. You get great views of the Shard is you get the right room.
