Reviews of Oslo Hackney
P. M.
This converted old railway station is a great venue for drinks, food and gigs.
We went to see the fantastic Izo Fitzroy at this venue that takes about 300 people (upstairs) and a really nice cool/chill bar area downstairs that serves well priced drinks and good food with good vegetarian and vegan options.

I've been to a gig here ages ago but this is a review of the bar. Big, ex-industrial feel inside, nicely done out. Their own Oslo larger on tap £4.50 a pint, which is basically unheard of in London. No problem sinking a couple of those. A solid regular joint to go to.
B. B.
"Grab a bite then just keep partying at the table you ate" type beat, went for a friends birthday thoroughly enjoyed the night. Didnt see the upstairs. Good friendly service staff, mostly Hackney creatives in their natural habitat but hey, its just by the station...what u expect?
b.
Good location right next to the station and nice nice inside. Great gig venue upstairs too with lots of room.

Great atmosphere and food options! Recently tried the Sunday roast / xmas roast ! For sure one of the best around Hackney !
Nice music! Great and friendly staff, and of course the option for night music events, makes it even more special! 🥰
K. M.
One of my favourite London venues to see live bands. The PA is always well set up, there are plenty of (clean) toilets, bar staff are responsive, friendly security and coat check. Camden Pale on tap. Only gripe would be the cans in the fridge we bought on Sat night weren't chilled (Two Tribes).
A. S.
Really good bar, near Hackney Central Station. Great venue, very raw/trendy decor. Plenty of space. Tried Oslo lager fir first time. Recommended 👍
A. V.
Honestly, a great place. Really and I mean it. Value for money. Great music. They had disco house with nice fat bass (guitar/synth). Was great to vibe n dance.
Great jolly people. No one is too far out in the space but some jaw munchers by the end. Lol. Lots of dancing. Will definitely go again once I'm around these ends.
S. H.
Great venue in the heart of Hackney! Access by the bus or overground (Hackney Central). Huge venue with several bars. Food / dinner service in the day time and evenings and bar. Turns into full club venue on weekends with DJs and multiple rooms. Late entry and usually only £5 entry! Great venue really reliable for a great night too!

Wonderful place!
Drove 5hrs from Devon to come and visit as Droeloe was playing live.
Absolutely wonderful staff members!
And the manager was a star for all of her help on the phone prior to arriving!
Can't wait to revisit!!

Had a fun drag bingo night with some friends here! A cool setting but I would say it would've been better to use downstairs for the bingo since we had to stand the whole night. Loved the lychee martini.
E. E. D.
Me and some friends came in for a drink and to watch a gig, great experience, great place, even better manager. Rebeca was super friendly, will be returning!
M. C.
Great venue for pop up record fair.
M. V.
Great atmosphere and amazing staff. We also ended up buying something from an indoor market on the day.
S. B.
Fun pub in Hackney Central, right next to the station (doesn't have normal station pub vibes) small outdoor area and large indoor area. Late licence stays open till 4am on weekends . Staff are friendly. Worth a visit.
G. R.
♿ ✔️ Wheelchair accessible entrance, quite a wide doorway with a long open seating area inside, there is a mixture of stools, chairs and benches inside.
Came here on a Thursday night, security greeted me at the door and were quite friendly! The interior is quite cozy and open with large brick pillars splitting up the seating.
They have a great range of beers on tap from local and scandinavian breweries, easy going staff adds to the chilled staff, great place for a group or a cheeky pint!

Go for the atmosphere and friendly service. Food menu could be made much better. Try and the house beer.

Came to watch some bands and had a fantastic time. The bar staff were very friendly and the sound was top notch.

Giving this place a 5* for their excellent Covid measures. Saw a gig and it felt really safe, separate little tables for 2, app based table service, sold out but not crowded. Bar downstairs also good, with exceptional customer service.
J. L.
Great place. On Thursdays and Sundays cocktails are 2 for 1 @ £9. The food is also very good and ok priced. The brownies are to die for. The staff is nice too. Although, I asked if it was ok to sit at an empty reserved table while waiting for the club doors to open. I was told to "read the sign, hun". The table was empty for another half hour after that but Ok. Upstairs is nice and cosy. Great venue for intimate gigs.
G. B.
Oslo is the club to go out when you are in hackney central. Nice cozy atmosphere downstairs and a nightclub with a variety of DJ sets in the upper floor with decent house/techno/electro music upstairs. It has normal drink prices, a reasonable entrance fee and the expected East London vibe, it's definitely worth visiting just once if in the area
v.
Good, small music venue for new music groups. One floor room, room is 40 by 60 meters around. Clean toilets. Tickets around £10-15. Music bands start to play around 20:00 or 20:30 so be in time or you will miss it.
Looks like they have bar on the ground floor.

Review is mainly based on performance area upstairs. Based in trendy Hackney and literally right by the exit to the station the Oslo Hackney is a great place for some drink, food and or entertainment. Outside seating area to the front, followed by the entrance to the restaurant/bar. Through a security manned side doorway you come to a lovely set of stairs lined with intriguing art works that lead the imagination astray ;)
The performance area is open plan with a somewhat stocked bar to the right, no food but has the drinks basics. The stage is small and not much separates it from you on the viewing/dance floor which makes for a truly up close and intimate performance. Sound system is just right for its size and packs a considerable chest punch but nothing unpleasant at all. Lighting is adequate and in the usual spectrums whites, reds and blues. Security checks ID so don't forget it. Prices slightly on the higher side than average but nothing to cry about. For a lively night out in a trendy part of town the head on over. Be sure to check who's performing on the night or just roll up and be surprised.
a. l.
a great venue for live music plus it's above a bar with good food and drink
H. W.
The staff here are absolutely amazing and friendly! Venue is huge, price are decent. Will come back at some point
M. B.
Oslo is a great venue for music. Not too big, not too small. Literally two steps from Hackney Central overground station.
J. P.
Some place …. Lost my phone - found it at the bar after 1/2 hour . Lost my tipsy friend - found her drinking water with a bouncer holding her coat .
A. B.
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice venue. December range of of drinks.
M. V.
Great atmosphere and amazing staff. We also ended up buying something from an indoor market on the day.
S. L.
Pub downstairs has nice interiors. Concert space upstairs cozy, clean, and serves a good selection of drinks
T. Z. (. G.
Awesome vibes. Boogarins from Brazil.
S. H.
Rammed on a Thursday when I visited - might have something to do with the 2 for £9 cocktail offer all night though! Drinks were good too, not just the same old cheap cocktails some places do at happy hour. Low-lit open area downstairs with tables for dining or drinking, and a gig venue upstairs with great sound.
M. A.
Went to see Soweto Kinch at Oslo. Nice bar, restaurant and upstairs is a very intimate music venue. Great sound, lovely atmosphere.
J. C.
Nice place with friendly staff. Cocktails were 2 for £9 when we went for a friend's leaving drinks. Food was ok but not great
E. M.
It is the best place to have a great cocktail in Hackney. The staff is very nice and the security guy is super cool! The cocktails are great, I love the Margherita and if you are not happy with your cocktail then they are more then happy to remake it for you.
D. P.
Interesting pub by the Overground. Lack of cask beer though. Great space and decoration
E. S.
A great pub - restaurant. Great atmosphere. Nice design. Tasty a little sophisticated food with a twist. Not the regular pub hamburger and fries food. Live shows on the upper floor. Attentive crew. GO THERE!!!!
L. S.
Lovely cosy atmosphere - with some cool vibes and great food. Nordic brunch waffles and burgers are delicious - and something nice to stumble on a rainy day.
D. D.
Great venue for gigs, food, clubbing and just hanging out
D. G.
Great venue. One of my favourite in London. Solid wine at the bar. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that I didn't love the food when I tried it a few years back.
N. B. T.
Such a great intimate venue, went to see Young the Giant and loved it sooo much. Drinks are cheap.
V. H.
Great atmosphere and concert venue, really nice main bar downstairs with open seating area, we'll definitely come back just for a drink. The staff & security guards were all really lovely too!
d.
Turns into somewhat of a nightclub upstairs on weekend evenings. Downstairs I'd a pretty fancy bar. Great place for a boogie
G. C.
Good all round venue. Nice staff and good music scene we went to see the band FEET excellent!
S. B.
Good venue for gig. Easy to get to as just outside hackney central tube. Reasonably price drink and happy hour. Happy hour didn't extend to miserable security that's as expected.
S. P.
Came for the Aviv Geffen ft. Blackfield concert. Drinks are adequately priced and the place is fantastic for intimate gigs. Would love to be back for another live act.
T. M.
I liked it, nice atmosphere, good menu and not overwhelming friendly crew but ok (a bit hit-and-miss). Great place to work on the move.
S. K.
Just ok food, ok ambience. Not too bad if you're there and need to grab a bite
C. P.
Had Sunday lunch there today. Lovely surroundings and atmosphere. Staff v pleasant and helpful . Food was lovely but chicken was very undercooked for our liking. Did bring this to staff attention. Great portion size with plenty variety veg and potatoes. Generous wine serving. Hopefully will return again.
C. D.
We popped in for a quick bite en route to a gig. Very friendly service from the outset. A mix of small plates and mains on offer with plenty of vegan options. Food was very good, vegan burger with excellent triple cooked chips, and very tasty, generously portioned cauliflower "wings" plus a rocket and lemon salad. Decent beer selection as well.
N. W. E.
Very solid gig venue — sound in the room was excellent, and a nice kind of small-mid sized space. The show was sold out but it didn't feel at all crammed in, which is kind of a pleasant rarity. I didn't hang around in the bar downstairs, but it seemed pretty nice on the way in/out.
S. F.
Can't vouch for the food but been to some great gigs upstairs. Intimate, but never TOO crowded.
O.
Great venue, nice sound system, bar not too expensive. Great gig room upstairs
C. B.
Very pretty bar with some delicious cocktails. Especially the gin based melon-y one, go get a melon-y cocktail.
M. C.
Great venue for pop up record fair.
K. P.
Very good food and the place itself has got lovely atmosphere. Staff is polite and helpful and the live concert in the club upstairs was one of the best ones I’ve been to.
If you are looking for either food, fun or a stylish place to go to, Oslo is the one.
V. L.
I have been coming to Oslo for years now, and I have noticed a great improvement in the past year! Food was healthy but tasty and also- great wine choice. More effort from the kitchen and bar staff, lots of new faces, had a great service from an Asian guy in his mid30s named Patrick, he was hilarious and even made my mother laugh...loved his luscious long hair!
G. B.
Great menu and food. Not too busy during Sunday afternoons.
M. G.
This is about the third time I’ve been to Oslo and the third time that I’ve been absolutely blown away by the food and service from the staff!
You’re best coming in before 6pm when it really starts to get busy.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect and you just feel relaxed the moment you walk in.
As for the food... today I had Sunday roast and my stomach is genuinely in food heaven as I type this! Easily the best Sunday roast I’ve had in a long long time. Toby Carvery is like school lunch compared to this 😅.
Would highly recommend Oslo for their food and drink selection.
M. O. A.
Their burgers are fantastic! Good size portion and very tasty. Best sweet potatoes in town by far!
A. P.
I didn't really have any expectations about Oslo. I had heard about it before because of their famed music gigs but it never really caught my eye enough for me to choose to have a meal there. However, on a rainy Sunday, it looked like a good enough option to get some food and cover from the rain. We were promptly received and given the menu, and it did not take long before we got a table, despite the high amount of reservations they had on that day. I ordered the chicken waffle from the brunch menu and it was divine. The buttermilk fried chicken was super tender and tasty, and the waffles and bacon were equally good. To top it all off it was served with maple syrup and gravy. The service was courteous and atmosphere nice. Prices are affordable as well. I would definitely recommend this place.
N. N.
Went in to meet friends for a beer, but ended up having an Oslo Burger Deal. (Burger and fries).
One of the best I've ever tried .... beef patty cooked to perfection (rare) and chunky chips.
All fantastically seasoned to perfection too.
Would recommend the own brand Oslo Larger its brilliant at 3.00 quid a pint.
What's not to like.
N. A.
Where you get up close to the stage and can feel the music. Brilliant.
S. C.
This place has great potentials: great location (just outside the overground), nicely furnished, cheap drinks. What put me off was the bar and waiting staff i am afraid: the place wasn't busy yet (it was early Friday night) but i got totally ignored by the bar staff.. They just left me standing there, not a smile, not a "will be with you in a minute", zero attempts to acknowledge my presence there. We ordered some food and it was actually really nice and well presented. Though the waiting staff was really breathing down our neck, waiting for us to get the last bite or the last sip so they could take out plates and glasses away. It's a nice place indeed, however the staff didn't fell us welcomed I am afraid..
N. G.
Great place with a great vibe. They have multiple rooms of music, so you should be able to find something you're looking for. The outside area is also well done. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is just due to it being far too busy nowadays, sometimes you can't even move (which shows that it's good, but not ideal when you're inside!)
J. E.
Excellent Sound System. V good clean venue. Bouncer outside was a bit strict. I.D. outside practically on the road not even at the door kind of put me off a bit but upstairs on the door a bit more realistic. Probably AT the door itself. The actual security person wasn't at fault. I just think it's a unwelcoming sign!
S. P.
Great venue, saw Nothing here and was impressed. Intimate venue with a capacity of 300ish ( estimate). Beer in cans was £5 I think. Not the best bar in the concert venue re stock. The downstairs bar looked excellent and we'll stocked though I didn't drink here.
N. L.
The burguers are average but the steaks are amazing. Properly done and really tasty. Later at night the place the looks like a restaurant end up turning into a nightclub with good music. Service at the bar for drinks at this point is quite slow.
A. M.
A better than I expected venue. Live venue is upstairs. Capacity I'd say approx 350, so not big, but the sound was great. Small bar to right of stage view. Approx £4.50 for a can. No draft I could see . Would return
I. N.
It's is right below Hackney central station. Well located and with concerts upstair. Good selection of draught and overall good quality pub food.
N. F.
Good food. Good atmosphere. Liked the live venue upstairs. Only negative was my wine of choice was not available at the bar during the gig. Was told to go down stairs!
C. Ö.
Great place to have couple of drınks and go to a gig!
B. B.
I love the interior, good selection of cocktails. Service is bad tho, staff is nice, but they are very pushy. Things are run out from the menu, and if is quiet or busy waiters bother you every 5 min after you finish your food, almost like finish eating go away. I found this stressful. I like cocktails, and food however please don't ask me 10 times if I like another drink. Kensington prices in Hackney.
A.
Good friendly venue and staff. Gets a bit packed at the large bar downstairs, with the static traffic between the tables and the bar. More disco than house music, at least it was on a Friday night. Large venue for location, relatively new on the scene - if I remember correctly they opened in 2014/15. Increasingly popular and trendy part of town but still with an authentic feel
J. V.
Nice pub, great venue for gigs.
A. L.
The food was really lovely and the dessert was even better. We did order breakfast with a waffle but the waffle maker wasn’t working, they didn’t inform us of that which is a bit of a shame as when it came to the table there was sourdough toast! That the only downside!
I shared the dessert which was a chocolate brownie it came out warm and squishy- perfect.
They had a wide range of drinks even Kumbucha and homemade lemonade which is a nice touch to the drinks menu.
g. w.
Shelves for your pint would be nice and maybe some 'manners' training for a bouncer or two. Good space and sound though.
T. D.
Have only been here for food, which is pretty decent if not a little on the pricey side. Had a really good Sunday lunch, which had a Yorkshire pudding which was dense and cakey. I'm also told that it's a pretty good venue for live music and club nights but I couldn't say.
A. Z.
Really cool place. They serve quality food and I was impressed with the service too - they were very caring and welcoming even though I requested a table for snacks on a busy Saturday night. I loved the music too, the funky tunes are great. They have a seperate room with a dancefloor, the venue is much bigger than you may initially think!
m. l.
Great venue for live music & cocktails! Love it!
N. P.
You wouldn't expect it but the restaurant at Oslo is actually really nice! It was a great surprise! It was quite busy last Friday night with large drunken groups, the service was slow at first but then it improved! I loved the Iberian chicken salad and the fries are really great!
A. M.
This place surprised me. It's a low-lit little bar with a venue upstairs. Staff were friendly and forthcoming.
M. D.
The kite string tangle and mono club were awesome. Danced my feet to ruin.
Gig venue upstairs was spacious, bar staff were courteous and pleasant to deal with, we managed to get in early so got a good view of the stage. But why do people insist on going to such events with backpacks I'll never know, it's just super annoying to deal with such people.
P.s. Haven't fully explored the bar downstairs so can't comment on that yet.
R. T.
Maybe just the night I was there but pretty slow food service on snacks and moderately indifferent bar staff. Guess everyone is allowed one unenthused day in the run up to Christmas. ....also if I'm being really harsh the whole place just seemed to have delusions of a chic grandeur that was pretty hard to detect that night. Like some brave audience member unkindly hypnotised into thinking they were a supermodel. ....
E. s.
Intriguing place - the staff were friendly and the food was good - chips with curry sauce was dreamy - however they had completely run out of white wine when we were there and no one seemed to really know what was going on or what deals they were doing which are advertised all around the wall. So just a bit odd but in a good way maybe, one to come back and investigate sometime.
R. G.
Attentive bar staff with nice cocktails. We went for a gig so were mostly upstairs. Prices are typical for London but I thought the cocktails were good value for the quality. We had 20% off our food bill with the gig ticket.
Removing 1 star for the rude bouncer who ignored me when I'd nipped to the loo at the end of the gig and wouldn't acknowledge me to let me back through the doors so I could rejoin people and get my bags. I would have appreciated a heads up that the doors were going to be shut soon so they could clear out upstairs. It wasn't like I was a rude drunk who shouldn't have been up there.
n. x.
The place is ok. We had a waiter with long hair which I believe was also a manager or so that made us feel awkward. He was not very nice, not very interested and It seemed he didn't want us there. We went for drinks. Nothing special
D. H.
An old ticketing hall rather nicely converted into a trendy bar / gastro eatery. Some items are a bit chunky and basic but it's all part of the rustic no- nonsense approach. Long sharing tables make it sociable for ones and twos as well
B. D.
Tasty food, fair prices, awesome atmosphere and warm staff. I would recommand it
P. M.
Was the best Sunday roasts I've had, beef was extremely tender and juicy, potatoes and all vegetables fresh with a nice crispy Yorkshire pudding. Small but great selection of beers too.
H. S.
Brilliant selection of beer, staff happy to give you tasters to help you choose. Food looks fantastic and there is a burger challenge if you fancy your chances! Great space, very social, loads of live gigs. Highly recommend!
L. B.
Went with a Norwegian and he said 'it isn't like Oslo its self but you will find places like this in Oslo'. Also bouncers are nice but strict (need ID even if you're in your 50's) v.peak. Bar maid served up some banging old fashioned's so props to her! All round good vibes, nice artwork in the hallways, decent place to be would recommend!
p. B. O.
Beautiful place, lovely people, yummy food
C. S.
What a lovely place to have a Sunday roast! The staff is very friendly and efficient, the vibe is great and the food is delicious! I had a chicken roast and is was very tasty, succulent and full of flavour. It was accompanied by typical roast veg and a delicious just baked Yorkshire pudding. It was my first time here for lunch, but it's the start of a long series!
I. G.
Nice place, good selection of drinks and good vibe. Only issue is the music can be a bit too loud, so having a casual bite, drinks and some light-hearted conversation can turn into a heated exchange of épithètes. I guess that depends on your company.
D.
Went there for lunch. Liked the layout of the place - more like a restaurant than a bar. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Liked that we were automatically given a carafe of water without asking
I. Q.
Great venue upstairs for the gig I saw. Dining area down stairs also looked good. Unfortunately I didn't get a taste of the food which looked and smelt delicious. Good range of beers.
P. S.
Oh my, the chicken waffle thing was outstanding! Sweet and sharp and hot and cold and spicy! Pile a bit of everything on a fork and BOOM! Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Did I say the chicken was good?
M. B.
Great intimate gig space upstairs...plus they sell red stripe 👍🏾
Downstairs is more upscale and has a different vibe. Great for eating but a bit cramped if you don't have a table. You kind of feel in the way of the security staff when it gets to 11pm and you're not allowed outside with a drink. Good DJs though; the ones that mix...bit awkward being slow close you're able to spot the ones just spinning a laptop mix.
R. d. A.
Oslo is either great or awful and never in-between. Requiring you to be a very specific mix of drunk and "up for it", one can have an absolute hoot here, provided the music is up your alley and you don't mind pushing through queues for watered-down drinks (the cocktails on the ground floor are fairly decent though). Come at the wrong time (no music upstairs, wrong kind of music, too early, too late, too sober) and you'll likely last half an hour before calling it quits. The kind of place you can go one week and have a time you'll talk about for months to come, and go back the following week and vow never to go out in Hackney again. The fact that they also play music downstairs is a plus as on a good night you'll be alternating between floors. Have never been during daytime trade and, given what you experience here at night, wouldn't really want to.
D. W.
Multi-purpose venue with the ground floor functioning as a restaurant/bar and the top floor for gigs/club nights. I've only been here for gigs and the sound is surprisingly good, but the bar can get quite crowded. My girlfriend fainted here once (nothing to do with the venue!) and the security staff were very helpful and attentive
S. D. S.
Went with a bunch of friends and the stuff was really accommodating although we had not booked! Appreciated! bartender really knows his drinks, top notch margaritas.
F. B.
Great new venue, the bar downstairs is really big and at the weekend they turn the music up as it gets a bit later and people have a dance! More dancing and music in the club upstairs. Eating on a weekend too late there and you will be in the back end of the bar, a bit loud and lots of people crowding around you. Also good tip - free cloakroom upstairs!!
L. E. P.
Great vibe! Friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks and wine, attentive security team. Also the DJ was quite good on disco/70s night. Definitely worth it.
C. E.
Nice Staff. Great atmosphere. A bit hipstery but comfy. Burger and fries were great although I would have appreciate to choose the doneness of my burger as it arrived well done and I will have prefered less cooked. Good portion too, we have good appetite but didn't finish the fries. Lemonade was a bit bitter, not sweet enough to my taste but a hit if you like lemon a lot. We'll go again and order a dessert this time!
R. 4.
Pleasant place to drink cocktails and beer, atmosphere is good and music is not bad
G. J.
Never been in as I find drunks to be the ultimate bore but this is one of the few venues where the management actually respect the local community and keeps their drunks and their boring anti social behaviour inside the building and doesn't inflict it people who couldn't care less about incapable drunks. Top marks to the staff for controlling their clientele
M. S. W.
A great restaurant and bar in an excellent location with friendly staff and comfortable, spacious seating. The burgers especially are very tasty and there are a wide range of drinks available, including craft beers.
L. J.
Main course amazing, service great, cocktails delicious. Great value for money. Dessert left a little to be desired, too much meringue not enough fruit but that's the only minor criticism.
G. P.
Beautiful bar/restaurant. Beautiful people. Annoyingly only sell £4 canned red stripe upstairs. Get your draft beer before you go upstairs. Beer cans are for bus stop drinkers not discerning gig goers like my self.
T. B. K.
Nice venue, small and cozy. Was there for a concert, sound was really good and quite close to band. Service was relatively fast and they had a decent beer selection. Did not try food
A. R.
What a great place to have a Sunday roast! I had a chicken roast and was delicious, succulent and full of flavour. 1/2 chicken accompanied by roast veg and a delicious Yorkshire pudding, great value for money!!!
Staff is friendly and efficient and I'll be definitely come back!!!!

During the weekend the get busy and buzzin. On the first floor they have a dance floor with DJ. Bars gets slammed at time but hey, its london on the weekeend. During day time is only open at the ground floor which oresetn a restaurant and bar with no stool. They do have benches at the front which is also their smoking area. Nice place to be and meet new people around hackney,
S. P.
We came here for a roast on a Sunday. They were really busy but we found the staff mostly accommodating if a little distracted (understandably at times). They were able to seat us after about half an hour (we hadn’t booked) and we were pleased to see they were running the usual menu along side the roast menu. This is great if you’ve got someone who isn’t a big roast fan or simply doesn’t fancy one in your group. Sometimes I’ve found it means the place does everything slightly less well but that doesn’t seem to be the case here, particularly. We all ordered the beef which came with well cooked veggies, slightly bland roasties and lots and lots of lovely rare beef. The problem some might have is that the beef is in fact a cut of hanger steak, hence the generosity of the portion. It is cooked well but perhaps could have rested longer as it bordered on the chewy side sometimes. Certainly wasn’t melting roast beef but was fine for what it was. In terms of the restaurant itself- the décor is classic east London faux industrial chic combined with Nordic minimalist. But we found the place very cold in temperature and the seats not very comfortable.
J.
Nice bar with good beer.
A. H.
It's nice ... lovley staff... the food was ok not fantastic but for the price it was fine. The house beer was good. I would eat there again .. I had the mushroom burger it was lovley... the fish and chips isn't what I expected when someone I was with had it and I would give that a miss. I Was there late the club upstairs is a no no for me it was so so so so so so so loud for the size of the place probably OK if your wasted I was sober and only had about 3 pints . Even back in the day in the slum basment clubs of soho I never hear anything as loud.
M. T.
Good venue, staff were excellent
d. B.
The venue was lovely but just needs more organisation.
It was hard to find a seat inside. It was happy hour and the selection of drinks available were really poor. No cocktails were included. I asked for a Mohita and they couldn't make it because they never had crushed ice....😂😂😂
T. F.
Great staff, nice decor, great drinks selection, good menu for reasonable (London) prices. Well organised area for live music, separate from ground floor bar and restaurant.
G. Y.
A great live music venue right outside Hackney Central station. The music hall upstairs it of a good size, slightly raised stage with good acoustics. Drinks are reasonable at £4 a beer and all the bars take card. A good shout if you're looking to watch some live music.
J. W.
Great venue!
Quite disappointed concerning the food though. We had to change our order 3-4 times because they were running out of lots of items on the menu. However, what we eventually ordered was good!
V. P.
Staff is great and super kind and helpful. Food was super tasty ans good price; the fish and chips are a must have - cod is battered in Beavertown Gamma ray and chips are just deliciously hand cut and with the best season. Beer on tap is not very diversified, but great options such as Beavertown and Goose IPA.
D. D.
Tasty beer and decent food. Good for an intimate gig.
N. K.
Great music venue and excellent food as a bonus!
K. B.
This is a very surprising venue they hold live bands here and down stairs a very spacious restaurant. And at night times on the weekends it become a night club allso has an out side area but no drinking after ten o'clock.
A. J.
Went to this venue upstairs last night to see Nérija with a disabled companion (no wheelchair but stick & strapped knee) for a gig. There is a working lift hidden behind 'designer' corrugated sheets at the entrance! All officials were polite and very helpful. No access platform for separate safe area, but we were given high stools and these were place near the front/side of the stage giving fairly good sight line. Didn't check the disabled toilet which was on the same level, but told they were adequate. Five stars to staff at the venue. Need to think a little more about making a safe space as people crept forward and personal safe space for a disabled person was invaded. A roped off area could be a solution.
A. E.
Went for a gig in their upstairs room - the performance space suited the intimacy and style of the show, but apart from that everything was fairly underwhelming. Beer prices were extortionate, staff were brusque. Ladies' loo had a fair amount of stalls but not quite enough washbasins, so there was a bit of a jam there too.
F. V.
Great fun club with really great music on Friday (pop-dance) and Saturday (disco, funk, techno). Really good value entry (can get free for pre-11pm entry if you buy tickets) and affordable drinks.
D.
I shouldn't like it, but I pretty much always have a good time here. Bit of a try hard crowd but good music venue (upstairs). Decent enough beer although poor by Hackney standards now.
J. R.
Excellent food and service. I hadn't booked a table but I was seated in 10 minutes, the staff allowed me to relax and we're attentive but not overbearing which is rare these days. This is a place that I will use again when I am in the area.
A. M.
Nice place. Has a Hackney feel for sure. Went for a live performance. The venue is quite small, if you want to be up close with the band, this is that place! In the ground floor, nice selection of beers and quirky setting.
R. G.
Not my favourite venue for gigs. But does the trick.
Upstairs bar doesn't have any brew on tap so grab yours from downstairs.
And the restaurant kitchen seems to close around 10pm. So if you're there for gig and wanna eat place an order around 9:30pm so that your food will be ready when you have jumped up and down for couple of hours. ;)
T. A.
Went to Oslo for Sunday lunch with a large group of friends. Had an amazing time!! I loved the decor very cool, high ceilings industrial style but still felt cosy. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the roast beef both were excellent, big portions really tasty! The drinks were great too. We had the Oslo Larger which was gorgeous, the house red which is really nice, incredible value, and the caramel expresso martinis which are gorgeous!!!
The service was great too, can't wait to go back again, would highly recommend!
L. S. (.
Decent drinking place.
Mac central in the week, it's really quite a pleasant place to sit.
After talking to the woman behind the bar, sounds like they regularly have gigs on upstairs (from the thumping sound check going on).
Had a few pints of Paulaner then wandered on.
O. H. P.
I really liked the place. Two massive rooms where people can get crazy dancing. Drinks were suprisingly cheap for a club. Beer garden for smokes and very cool bouncers. Good experience overall.
J. R.
Visited on a Sunday and they had some cool Bluesy live music going on. All day brunch available, so some damn fine avocado (with chili, lime, coriander) and eggs, for dinner :) Cool place, will definitely be back.
K. H.
Nice interior, bit city pub, but then I like that. Served by a chap who seemed confused by the whole experience, apparently a bottle of sparkling water and a beer is quite perplexing.
Didn't try the food, but it looked good. They were serving things on large chunks of wood, so I hope there's not much gravy ;)
A. T.
Really lovely place. Amazing service - the friendliest and most helpful staff. Really good food. Plenty of choice with both food and drink. Spacious, lovely decor and great atmosphere. Perfect place to have a get together - would really recommend it!
P. L.
Great addition to the club scene in Hackney. Relatively cheap to get into the upstairs club on a Saturday night (£5), reasonable drinks prices and great music. There is a free cloak room which is a nice addition, however be prepared for a bit of a queue as it is only staffed by one person.
J. M.
Had an amazing night watching a few bands, the atmosphere was electric and sound was incredible. Easily one if the best sounding systems in east london. the food downstairs was delicious.
M. G.
Great gig, great staff, especially the lady that dealt with our food order!
K. S.
Delicious cocktails, very convenient location.
M. “. O. K.
I've had mixed experiences at Oslo. Usually have food & drinks downstairs before a gig upstairs.
Sometimes the wait for food is ridiculous and asking staff the wait time before you order often elicits a shoulder shrug so unless you can wait 45 minutes, don't risk it if it looks busy with diners!
Food is reasonably priced for somethings but expensive for others, don't get a burger, they're not good value for money.
Towards the end of the night it's a nicer atmosphere after the gig crowd shuffles off. DJs can be hit or miss
M. S.
Amazing food and choice on drinks, gets busy on Fridays but that’s expected. The staff are extremely friend and a great place to let your hair down
K. L.
Great staff, great hospitality. Only downside: gigantic stair load in for gear.
Food was generally, great, though one party member reported that the Sunday roast was tough. Recommendations: Oslo Burger and sea bass.
A. C.
Good upstairs performance space that puts on live music acts, and well-stocked bar and informal restaurant downstairs. Busy every night, and it's Hackny Central so expect a high rah factor.
B. S.
Fab pub - food is great :)
My Yorkshire pudding was the size of my head!
R. N.
Very nice place to hang out midweek. Great staff
A. C.
Delightful moments, made new friends ♡♡♡☆☆☆☆
H. S.
Very trendy and hip and groovy bar cum restaurant cum club. Went there for a couple after work and was very impressed with the range if craft beers. Next to Hackney central station so very handy to get to.
A. H.
Place seems pretty good. Nice beer, interesting decor, though the service was a little clueless. Came to see a very cool band, will hopefully remember to update this after the gig doors open.
R. B.
I really like this place, The staff are friendly and well trained. I think the prices of the drinks are a little high in comparison for surrounding venues but it is hard to find a good enough local atmosphere as Oslo
H. R.
Good food at reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and quick to serve. Great place to go for just drinks or end a night out on upstairs.
C. D.
I had Sunday dinner there just before Xmas the good is very good only way complaint is 3 roast potatoes really or just a rouse to get you order more for £3.25 per portion.
M. P.
Venue in upstairs room of old railway building couldn't be handier for Hackney Central station, small bar but larger bar downstairs can also be used, drinks not as expensive as most venues! Saw Anna Von Hausswolff and acoustics were perfect.
D. R.
This is my local, on my street. I've given it 3 because it's so hit and miss. Come here five times and you'll give it five different ratings. Service can be great or indifferent. Food is highly variable. Drinks menu looks great but often they are out of stock of most of it.
V. D. M.
Not long ago I had a very fun night out here and lost all my friends (and my phone as well!!!) and not going to lie I really panicked. thankfully the manager assisted me and went the extra mile by getting me a cab home! What a top lad! Thanks a mill!
M. (.
Great venue! Staff is great and music too. 5 stars for the people running this place. 0 for the annoying people ruining it though. Keep the vibe on and please leave the jerks out.
M. L.
Super friendly and attentive staff. Cool, laid back vibes. High quality food. Great intimate venue space.
C. S.
Snob atmosphere, especially downstairs. A place to be seen... The upstairs music was better and more relaxed. I wouldn't recommend going there if you want a relaxed chilled atmosphere!
J.
Great vibe, upstairs is great intimate feel for gigs, pretty pricey beers but a good night out
J. B.
Decent bloody Mary, Sunday roast was massive but lackluster. Scandinavian sausage was great though. Also, their own lager is under £4 a pint and tasty.
J. D.
Not what I was expecting. Oslo is a restaurant downstairs, and the tables get moved aside later on in the night, and a club space upstairs. Neither is huge though. Downstairs is probably better for atmosphere
v. b.
Love Oslo. Vegan options available and food is always very tasty and well presented. Staff great! Warm welcoming atmosphere..
T. G.
Great little venue, will come earlier to enjoy some dinner before the gig next time as it looks great downstairs in the pub too
T.
Perfect venue for a night out with friends! great for live music as well. I posted a pic below of the event I attended there. I really enjoyed myself.❤💚💛🔥
C. C.
Great service great food lovely welcome. We had bream chicken and salads on the day.. And chunky chips of course. Our serving lady was a gem.
S. G.
We went there very late after a show. The staff are very friendly in this situation and served our food very quickly. The food is nicer than expected considering it is more like a club instead of a restaurant.
V. S.
Finally a place where people are washing their hands and watch out not to touch their faces.
PLUS I really liked the food! My girlfriends and I will definitely go back XXX
K. L. M.
Great casual bar/pub. We always pop on for a pint when in the area. Has good selection of house craft. But they could do with mixing up the selection once in a while
N. R.
Cheesy tubes. Mediocre food. Crowd is a bit tragic. Versatility is impressive - restaurant, bar and club. I you like dancing to pop music you'll like this club.
A. D.
Really lovely and delicious roast! Good value. It is very big! The service is good and it wasnt too busy considering we went at peak time.
M. T.
Great looking pub with a very tasty looking roast on offer on Sundays. The bottomless bloody mary would be ideal for a hangover as well but luckily I was able to sample the ales. Serving in a good old tankard is a nice touch and the regular events organised here will definitely result in a repeat vist
S. D.
Great small venue, saw slow magic so was awesome
S. H.
Really love this place. Nice food. Great prices. And upstairs, very cosy stage. Really enjoyed my experience there.
R. J.
Quite possibly everybody, apart from me, has been to Oslo. One of Hackney's newer openings, its opening club night saw people queueing from 7pm, which is practically unheard of, and it hosts some pretty good live acts as well. But they're more than just a venue - they have an all day food menu and bar on the ground floor for that little bit of something else. They were testing out their new menu last night so we were invited along for the free food. Never one to turn down such an offer, we hotfooted over and got stuck in.
As the name suggests, there's a Nordic influence to this place with a huge wooden bar and vaulted ceilings that keep things airy and clean-lined. Concrete and industrial fittings keep this place firmly in the here-and-now of London openings but I liked how the softer touches such as fresh meadow flowers on each table kept things a little less sterile.
We ordered a bottle of red, despite the hot weather, but was pleased to see an English white and Nyetimber sparkling on the short list too. With a huge range of spirits behind the bar, they can knock up whatever you want and even a few hardshakes while they're at it too. The menus themselves are short, folded leaflet type things divided into sandwiches, salads, burgers, large plates and then small plates and sharers. With it being the test-run of the new menu, there were a few things we weren't allowed to pick such as either of the sharing 'smorgasbords', the pan fried bream or the spatchcock chicken, and the smoker hadn't arrived meaning smoked fries and the bone marrow was out of bounds too. But what there was to choose from was still good.
The boys went for burgers, predictably, which come served on a wooden board with mini chip fryers filled to the brim. The new Oslo is a big patty, cheese, bacon and onions in a brioche bun - no surprises there, and no prizes for creativity either but it was wolfed down pretty sharpish nonetheless. The Marrakech mixes things up with a lamb patty with pomegranate, onions and harissa yoghurt - asked how it was, Saaqs declared 'oniony'. And the Martinique? A buttermilk chicken breast, with mango slaw and Monterey Jack cheese. Ash was a little surprised that the chicken wasn't breaded or fried but I guess you gotta roll with the punches. And for me? I went for the fish of the day (hake) with the triple cooked fries (which I ate all of, for once) and the crab mayo (the best bit) with lots of fresh lemon to bring it to life.
The food was good but not mindblowing. Admittedly, it was a test run and we'd not exactly chosen the most exciting things on the menu (their current/old one looks quite adventurous actually, damnit!) but there wasn't really anything we weren't expecting. The staff were super friendly and chatty, however, and we did only pay £9 each for two bottles of wine so I guess I can't complain.
Will I be back? If the teething problems are ironed out, maybe. The menu's a little basic but Oslo's not trying to be a tip-top restaurant, it's an all singing all dancing Hackney hideout.
L. R.
Quirky design. Good food and good atmosphere. Decor is tasteful and nice. Will be coming here again as the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
a. L.
Bottom floor, great booze, great music and nonsense, top floor is less chilled but always good DJ's. Epic spot for Hackney.
A. M.
Nice bar with stylish interior. Have seen a concert of Indiana and George Barnett upstairs and it was great! Even better if Oslo lager isn't out of stock...
S. J. P.
Not bad for a station bar. Wines are pricey but good atmosphere and plenty of space and of course two seconds away from Hackney central Overground.
t. c. (. I. H.
Very nice weekend venue for a gig. Concert venue is upstairs while the bigger bar is downstairs. Also does food. Close to London Overground station which is handy.
D. H.
I have been to the venue many times and Kam (the head doorman) has been an absolute gentleman, helping all of my friends and ensuring they are getting home safely. If anything, added a lot to the night. Many thanks x
G. D.
Great live music venue on first floor with large downstairs bar area. Handy nearby transport links including short walk from Hackney Central Overground station.
J. B.
Really fun gig venue with a big open bar and dining area. Went for a quiet-ish night and ended up staying until close because it was such a great vibe
P. S.
Not enough tchoinz. Some annoying Frenchmen wearing the doudoune, and the girls don’t like to be claqued (nor secoue not frotté) enough.
The bouncers and staff were lovely though.
T.
Saw skepta and asap and westwood in here back a couple years ago. Was great atmosphere, small about 300 capacity but preferable for a gig, drinks were okay, charge for cloakroom etc.
C. E.
Very fun place with 2 different rooms for two different atmospheres. Upstairs is more deep and electro, downstairs is more commercial and disco.
S. E.
I had a wonderful time in Oslo. Me and my pals danced the night away to some great music. Feeling quite delicate today though if you know what I mean!
I. L.
Went here to see Johnossi in February. Lively place with a good mixed crowd. Great craft ales and excellent live music venue upstairs. Right next to Hackney central overground so ideal for getting back to central London
G. M.
Chill vibes my new fave local
F. W.
Staff were extremely nice to us, and we felt like covid precautions were taken seriously and enforced, but with good humour.
A. T.
Very nice atmosphere. Is good to be here with friends or with partners. I was here during a concert and I very enjoyed the night. Also good drinks and good staff!
K. T.
Great night out at Oslo. Incredibly lively on a Friday night. No booking required, you can just turn up. Good music and crowd.
C. A.
Decent layout. Good drinks. Music very hit and miss. Bouncers we open to negotiation when my friend got ejected (for drunkenness) which was fair enough
G. P.
Always the best fish & chips in London. Make sure to get the sweet potato fries. Had a delish Espresso Martini.
a. t.
A good vibe but there's often a wait for snacks. A good place for a drink after work or a night out though ! (great gigs sometimes)
L. N.
Great club. Security is so friendly. Big thanks to Kam and Michael who are so fun and patient every night. Always chatty and welcoming.
E. P.
Great location; bar is filled with loads of great craft beers and a lovely gig space upstairs.
C. D.
Lovely place with a great security staff I use to come since a year now, most of the time great parties, except on Thursday night (request night), the dj not gonna play your request, he genuinely gonna threw away your request in front of you, that's a shame...
J. L.
Really good vibe, great staff and amazing drinks and food! So glad you have bread&truffle there!
N. G.
Best smaller music venue I've been to. Upstairs - good sound and line of sight. Downstairs - good food and ambience.
E. M.
The food is nice but the service was weird :-( they took away our food before we could finish & it all felt very rushed even though the place was almost empty. But I'd come again for coffee maybe☕
M. d. S. (. C.
holy gravy balls but ive just gone to heaven and back with the sunday roast that i just had. Not only was the chicken moist and on point but veggies cooked through and the gravy that camw along was incredible.
Best roast in east london by a country mile.
R. D. M.
Fantastic venue great good and drink even better music venue even though it's small compared to others the acoustics are great but the sound system is exemplary
I. G.
Food is pretty meh, but staff are great and the venue upstairs is a good spot to catch a gig
B. P.
Nice airy, candlelit bistro pub with good food menu. Good sound in upstairs music venue. Shame about the jobsworth bouncers.
B. T.
Great music venue! Perfect for mid-week music discoveries. Friendly staff and good choice of drinks / beers.
I. T.
Big venue, haven't been there for the concert but for drink and food on the week days - was very nice, not too crowded and food was nice! Sunday Roast! :D
s. w.
Oslo as a venue is pretty cool. The Clash benefit night with the exception of Frank Turner was truly dreadful. Not the fault of the venue.
D. H.
Beautiful food at very reasonable prices. Two courses and two round of drinks for two people was less than £30 per head, including a tip.
T. H. I.
Really cool place, nice selection of drinks, good food and a concert room on the top floor with a proper list of artists.
M. K.
Great place, great music and great stuff. Not expensive at all either. If you go quite late there is a 5pound entry ticket, but it goes until 4am, totally worth it
S. G.
Great food, happy hour £3 a pint and a good music venue also. Highly recommended!
S. F.
Great venue with banging tunes and quality food. Staff are polite and professional which is an added bonus
k. b.
Intimate venue for to see live acts. Great location by Hackney Central Station. Good selection of craft ales in cans when watching live acts.
E. A.
One of my favourite bars and music venues, it's great for late night dancing.
B. C.
It was cool. The roast was really nice. Couldn't give 5 stars as they ran out of cheese cake! :-p
G. S.
The dance floor upstairs is amazing. 4 pound shots plus the DJ plays fantastic music. I havent had the food tho
O. J.
Nice staff, good atmosphere, but the stage upstairs is way too low, it's almost impossible to see the performer from the back if the place is full of people.
c. m.
Good sized gig venue with cheap beers at a bar inside the gig room, nice bar downstairs with good beers on tap. Awesome deco and good food 👌
J. S.
Great burgers and great atmosphere! Excellent beers. If you stay at the kip ask for discount.
D. K.
The worst chips I've ever had in a restaurant - they seemed to warmed up from a few hours previous. Great service though, good atmosphere and decent selection of beers.
S. P.
Trendy hipster spot. Good for drinks or informal dining. Had a good veggie burger here and enjoyed the stylish ambiance
A. M.
Great place for a late drink. Always end up there after work. Fantastic Staff and good music.
T. G.
Great restaurant, reasonably priced drinks and excellent clubroom upstairs playing decent house/disco which is open till 5am!
C. G.
The name of this place comes from the capital and most populous city of Norway. Founded in the year 1040.After being destroyed by a fire in 1624, during the reign of King Christian IV, a new city was built closer to Aketshus Fortress nd named Christiania in the king's honour.
S. I.
Good gig space upstairs with good sound. Bar service a little slow downstairs but interesting drinks on offer
M. B.
Nice club, i liked more the 2nd floor, the main one had too much funky music, not so variety.
A. R.
Lovely venue. Great selection of beers and food. Friendly, helpful staff. Recommended.
R. N.
I like the Oslo but unless you have a table booked it does get a bit crowded quite quickly over all a nice hang out even during the day
M. D.
Upstairs: Great small music venue, decent sound.
Downstairs: Great little bar, great range of drinks, beautifully decorated and lit.
K. T.
Amazing venue - food and drink on the ground floor and upstairs where you can see the gigs. Definitely paying a visit here soon!
P. R.
Nice atmosphere, excellent beer and cocktails, decent food, slow service. Also a very good music venue for sound and sightlines
R. R.
Amazing food, good beer, friendly staff and best live music events in London!
D. C.
Friday night our group arrived they had great throwback music.. getting drinks can be a challenge though.
K.
Great selection of craft beers from around London. Cool venue for informal pub meal and some live music.
J. W.
Really liked this place - decent food, nice feel and only £5 for a pink of Neck Oil. I approve.
D. H.
I went to see BoyKillBoy. It's an intimate venue to see a band and seems really popular with locals. Its also really close to the overground train line. My only gripe is that the drinks were very expensive!
A. W.
Decent atmosphere/setting and beer selection. Staff disinterested, verging on the rude, unhelpful and generally do not seem to care about customers which was a shame.
A. K.
Brilliant venue. Can eat and drink downstairs and then see a band upstairs up close.
A. B.
The service is a little all over the place, but the food / beer was solid and the venue above the restaurant was great for the show we saw. Highly reccomend
A. M.
Food was tasty, servis good. Gig was OK, more my hubby's taste than mine, but overall, a nice evening.
A. P.
Cool place! Nice staff and crowd. There was a rowdy bunch getting their d*cks out which was a bit unsavoury, staff didn't do anything about this.
D. P.
Great atmosphere, the service was very good, good selection of food, including brunch, usual pub mains and roasts.
J. G.
Great music, food is really nice too. Good place to go with friends or celebrate a birthday.
S. F.
Lovely space, great drinks and food, staff welcoming and friendly!
B. F.
Great venue, very welcoming staff
Y. P.
Decent food, great atmosphere, live music, friendly staff, above average house wine, unusual but comfortable interior. What's not to like?
v. d. l.
My friend was a bit worst for wear here once and we were looked after by the wonderful Louis who made sure we got home safely! Great place and great staff
M. N.
Always a fun night, always too drunk to give a true rating. They play some interesting music in the club area upstairs.
D. L.
Really lovely space for drinks-- great interior, although service is a bit slow and staff aren't massively attentive.
M. w.
Been here a few times for relaxed drinks while in hackney. Great place, good atmosphere, craft beers, good cocktails, nice staff.
B. V.
I have been coming to this venue for 13 years now and it has been witness to debauchery beyond Google Review description. It has held its charm, and secrets with aplomb.
J. D.
What a weird place. weird gigs, red stripe next to five points, food downstairs.... slightly blew my mind, but a great gig location - 4/5 would bop again
J. D.
Nice bar, staff great. Came for a concert - sound wasn't great at times unfortunately
P. W.
Really cool bar, only issue was that the app to order drinks was a bit of a pain.
L. L.
Great small music venue, had the pleasure of seeing To Kill A King.
J. D.
Great pub, fantastic decor and a trendy place to hang out and spend time with friends. Lovely Coffee.
C. P.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and a good crowd - this is a great bar. (Burgers and triple fried chips are great too).
D. R.
Went there tonight, service was quick, food was great, service was the best thing everyone really nice and friendly even on an easter Sunday, negative points starters were a bit too big which isn't negative if you have a big appetite, the salt and pepper came in a pot touching the cutlery which is a bit minging, small mains selection, and the automatic service charge which is slightly rude, but the decor, atmosphere, really cheap prices surprisingly, will Deffo come again
K. T.
Fish and chips just great!
Lovely atmosphere and very carrying staff!
Nothing but 5 star only!
Loved it!
J. E.
Great little venue and the poke bowl tastes so fresh would definitely recommend the grub before a gig
M. R. A. M.
The music in ground floor was 80 on saturday, i didn't like much, and in the first floor was pop but then we needed to put our things in the cloak room
M. D.
Delicious and nice atmosphere even though I was dining by myself in the middle of the afternoon!
J. K.
Great gig venue, excellent sound, great craft beer selection artery the bar and staff are nice.
t. a.
nice place. good food. price in average. a lot of people. from a certain hour a dj plays music.
K. D.
Chilled vibe, cool decor and a nice range of beers. They also serve Neck Oil on tap
I. H.
Super venue for live music (upstairs) and vibrant bar /diner downstairs. Strict curfew for music.
J. A.
Great gig venue. Nice beers on offer. Service goes belly up when it's busy.
M. K.
- Slightly overpriced food. + Hot bar staff (girls). , +Gigs weekdays. + Fri/Sat night clubbing.
s.
Really like their Sunday roasts here and the it's a beautiful place. Plus they have the Crate Cider on tap
J. G.
Insanely nice space for enjoying a meal. The food was great... though... there seemed to be nothing actually Norwegian about it.
U. N.
Great food, nice selection of drinks, friendly service and a bustling atmosphere. Handy location right next to the station.
E. T.
Nice small venue-decent selection of drinks downstairs, good sound upstairs.
R. T.
Great venue and bar. Always have a great time here when I'm around. Be sure to check what's on.
P. H.
Likeable beer selection in a feel-good open-space restaurant just next to the station. Haven't tried the food yet.
S. o. G.
Its the best pub-music venue place in Hackney with their live events, interior architecture and menu.
C. p.
Nice venue, I have been here for a gig and food several times.. What can I say, I plan on coming back... Nuff said..
P. K.
Saw a great band here, sound was average.
Still better than going to the usual beer\phone carrier sponsored venue
S. S.
Great atmosphere but the fried chicken burger did not impress (lack flavour and body).
F. S.
Great atmosphere, happy hour with creative drinks, and live bands. What's not to love?!!
S. M.

The name of this place comes from the capital and most populous city of Norway. Founded in the year 1040.After being destroyed by a fire in 1624, during the reign of King Christian IV, a new city was built closer to Aketshus Fortress nd named Christiania in the king's honour.
