Wow what a lovely venue 😊 So amazing to sit and enjoy an old ballroom and to imagine what it was like back it it’s heyday !! We enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco at £20 a bit pricey but it was nice. And we just sat back and watched the old Jaws film had a romantic evening with my husband.

Jive Party nights at this glorious ballroom are such relaxed fun. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and some great dancers, plus lots of people having fun! So glad they’re starting again this month.

This is a fantastic ballroom, it's like stepping into the past. It's showing its age but that is part of it's charm. It has a great dance floor and is well worth a visit. Great for dance bands, discos and even a pop up cinema. Family run and owned and very friendly.

There is another worldly feel to The Rivoli Ballrooms, as if it has just been found after 100 years hidden or maybe you've put the work in and cracked time travel. Every detail of the interior is both intriguing and beautiful, from the narrow booth filled bar room off to the side or the velvet lined walls that go on forever. If you are lucky enough to attend an event I recommend going in style and definitely wearing your dancing shoes.

The location is amazingly detailed and has a wonderful sense of history about it. I love older buildings like these and the staff are always keen to welcome people to the location.

When ever I go for Swing Dancing, it feels like I've been taken back to the 1950's. Beautifully decorated and huge hall makes for a great night. I recommend this ball room to everyone

Like stepping back in time! It's great fun on a night with a live band like the jive/swing dance evenings. Note tickets aren't cheap for these events but worth it. Get there early for the quick lesson!

Completely and unashamedly old fashioned venue that has a real charm about it. Part of the local folklore, this place has some real (some recent) history behind it but continues to function today as dance venue. Apparently there have been many films scene shot here & hosted #saveLewishamHospital victory party!

Been to the Ballroom loads for the cinema and dances. The 70-80’s nights are a blast. Just outside of Crofton Park Station. Friendly staff and very clean.

Stepping into the Rivoli Ballroom is like stepping back in time to a more glamorous age... everything about the decor here is sumptuous, decadent and at points a little surreal. You can so see why this ballroom has been used as a location for films and music videos... As well as the main ballroom, make sure you explore the two bar areas too - each one is definitely one of a kind.

One of my favourite places in London for a fun evening, a fantastic peak back in time and always a good time and they do super movie nights. I hope it never goes anywhere but be warned part of going back in time means cash only - no card facilities!

The venue is beautiful and very authentic. Have attended a few jive nights here. Unfortunately it does get a bit too crowded sometimes and it also gets VERY hot as there is obviously no air con, so dress light!

Can be hired for events which is great, the main ballroom is an amazing room, very grand and very classy. There is a bar as well. They also host regular ballroom events for anyone to come and join in.

huge spring dance floor,about £7 for ballroom events every first Saturday of the month and £15 for jive party with a live band every third Saturday of the month, reasonable bar prices, cloakroom, clean lavatories, sandwiches and tea available cheaply and opposite Crofton Park railway station with trains to/from Victoria every half an hour. Efficient friendly bouncers and exotic decor. Last train home around 11.07 pm but mini cabs available near the station or an all night bus to Waterloo from a nearby bus stop. My partner and I went to the Rivoli for their Jive Party night, and despite being mediocre dancers had a great time. The venue has a cracking atmosphere and with everyone dressed up it's a swell place to spend an evening.

I used to go to the "pictures" at he Rivoli in the fifties as a child when it was a cinema. I was a Rivoli Cine Cub. Unbeknownst to me my future wife was also a Cine Cub at the same time. I believe it was also a bingo hall for a while but became the Rivoli Ballroom we all know and love some time later and it was fortunate for me that it did as it was here that I met my wife in 1960 at dancing classes. Although we have lived in the Hampshire countryside for almost fifty years we still come to Crofton Park every time we visit London and the Rivoli is just the same now as it was when we met. Who said nostalgia aint what it used to be? Just spend an evening at "The Riv" and you'll be wihsked back to the thirties, forties, fifties and sixties.
