Reviews of Rowans Tenpin Bowl
F. M.
Great venue, with friendly security.
Its a great place to be Friday and Saturday nights. It has a club type atmosphere, with lots to keep you entertained.
I would suggest booking an bowling ally as early as possible, if that's what you want to do.
There is a big bar, so don't expect to wait too long for drinks.
Head over to Orleans when Rowan's closes ;)
R. H.
Great place to hang out with your mates or a date! From bowling to the arcade and karaoke you will be spoilt for choice. I will definitely pay a visit again. Also just to save you time, withdraw cash before you go in for the arcade. There is a change machine should you need to break your notes into coins.
S. M.
Service was exceptional and very clean. The place wasn't busy either. No bowling shoes required which was good. The guy at the front desk was so friendly. Thanks so much.
M.
Was there for the first time for a friends bday with a big group of around 30 ppl. Place was packed, Cool, young attractive crowd. DJ downstairs and a second more chilled out floor upstairs. Staff was friendly and the bouncers are fun and polite. Bar could be better and have other drink options but overall good experience :))
S. B.
What you see is what you get. Great for birthdays or even just a bowling date. They have a really fun arcade and I've been going to this place since I was a kid. The bar is a bit overpriced and the machines could do with a wipe down. Overall I'd give a high 3 but rounded to a 4.
D. M.
Nice staff
A fun game of bowling and your able to download an app to have food and drink delivered to your lane. Staff routinely came round to take away any empty glasses.
There is also a small arcade though a few of the machines were out of order. And a number of pool tables
Z.
You can wear your own shoes. Has an arcade and has a DJ on the weekend. But cheese but good vibes. Always a queue after 9. Can queue jump if you have a lane booked
a. b.
Brilliant in general to be honest. We went bowling but also played pool and had a go on the arcade as well. Food was snacky but very good value. Hotdog and chips for approx a £5 so great if you have kids. Staff friendly and happy to help. Drinks cheap ish too! Great day
L. O.
Kinda unique place. Very trashy vibes, but that's part of the chalm! A bit busy when we went. Need to book bowling ahead. And expect even the non-bowing areas (e.g. arcade) to be packed on a Friday or Saturday night.
D. F.
What a place. Kinda bonkers (but in a good way). Can’t recommend it enough. We chose to celebrate our daughter’s 8th birthday there and it was SO much fun, everyone really enjoyed themselves! We were blown away by the staff’s efficiency and professionalism and wouldn’t hesitate to have another birthday party there, maybe this time without kids 😉
D. M.
Nice to play some arcade games, they also have bowling, pool and table tennis. Entry staff can be a bit abrasive though. A great place for the start of a fun night out with friends.... few drinks, few games and, a few laughs
a. o.
Very busy and lively staff, friendly, polite and helpful staff. When busy only one game of bowling. Want to go back and so bowling and karaoke. Food good, price are good, masks optional and own shoes worn. Think carefully on foot wear. 😅
They throw parties too, at least 2/3 happened while I was there with family and s guardians. 🥳🥳🥳
N.
We had a great experience here ! Was organized, and we had 2 games of bowling and drinks. Whoever the DJ is in the sort or club area, he is a genius, played all the good 90s hip hop/r&b/old school songs and we had a blast! We also went to the arcade and it was good fun. The service was friendly also and the crowd was fun. This place was 10000 times better than Hollywood bowl.
Highly recommended.
M. F.
It's the best place I've ever been. Great for group dates. I love the fact that there are different activities besides bowling to do. Definitely going to revisit again.
M. P.
One of my favourite nights out in London on a Friday or Saturday - £3 over 21s entry with bowling, arcade and karaoke available inside. Place feels like a time machine into last century in the best possible way. Arguably the best dj of all time and generally an unapologetically fun filled night with a diverse crowd! - highly recommend!
E. b.
There is a £1entry fee but once inside they have affordable prices. The the building and the old school decoration makes it interesting. They have Bowling, pool and many games. You can pay the bowling and drinks with card but you need cash for everything else. The only thing that was disappointing was that the pool balls were all just black and white.
T. S.
I had a great time at this place, you do have to pay £1 fee to get in which I found weird as other bowling places isn’t like that but overall really fun, I played bowling, pool and arcade with my partner and in laws
x.
been here three times now, great place to go on a saturday night. guaranteed a good time, open until late, there’s bowling and arcade. can’t go wrong
M. S.
I really like the retro look and feel of this venue and the split levels of the lanes too. Service wasn’t great.. Bar upstairs closed and no lane service at peak time, perception of the team wasn’t positive overall. 4-5 behind the bar, and one watching each level of lanes however one was sat playing a game on this phone and the other was oblivious to multiple faults happening. The £1 admission fee was a bit odd too. Three stars as I really wanted to love it here and will put down to just a bad day as it was really just service lacking.
I. K.
Didn't think it'll be THAT crowded on a Saturday for my sons birthday. Waited 1hour n 45mins to bowl. Staff behind the bar looked so overwhelmed as ppl were just pushing in to get served. Then suddenly the crowd was gone. Was so weird. Still it wasn't so bad.
M. R.
Arcade, bowling, good prices at the bar - what more do you want? I spent a happy three hours here today and it was the best trip out the house I've been on in ages!
S. V.
Lovely place to have Fun. The bowling lanes are very cool, spacious, neat and the staff is lovely.
They have an Arcade area which is so 90s with billiard table and I spotted a Karaoke too 👌.
We will go back again!
F. D.
Not a bad place at all where you can enjoy a nice evening with friends. Two floors where you can enjoy lots of bowling lanes, two bars, game room and a karaoke room too! Went there on a Sunday night and it wasn't extremely busy, just a few lanes were free so no needed to wait to play. £1 is the entrance fee but prices are quite cheap. Giving 4 stars only because upstairs bar was closed, so Every time we wanted a drink we had to go downstairs. I don't blame it as it was on a non busy Sunday night, but if it was going to be open that was going to be absolutely a 5 stars review! Pop by for a funny evening with your mates and you won't regret it
N. J. J.
£1 entrance fee.. good place to spend a few hours with bowling and arcade inside
a. l.
We were waiting an hour in line until we managed to get in just to be informed after paying an entrance ticket that we were unable to play. Still, good music inside (a lot of 2010's) and good fun
M. T.
Such good fun - real 80's disco vibes and good for all ages. Clean and conveniently located next to the train station!
Y. H.
Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Could probably do with some modernisation. They can do away with the separate admission fee and bowling shoe hire fees (totalling £2 each person). An all inclusive rate would be more favourable.
N. H.
I fantastic venue for bowling, games and disco. A no thrills venue, that doesn't try to hard. Have a bowl, each some chips and cooked from frozen scampi with a bit of disco dancing to close. Awesome
A. A.
Great family birthday day out. Decent quality food. Nice cocktails. Would recommend!
C.
Went with some work colleagues & had a great time bowling. Staff are friendly & helpful, great security. Drinks are a good price, it gets really busy after 9 when the DJ comes on, great atmosphere if you like to party. There's also an arcade where you can hang out with friends. Nice place to go & have fun, best days are Fridays & Saturday's.
T. G.
Great time here, and both my young grandchildren got higher scores than me!
j. b.
This place is going for a theme and hit it, unfortunately it does feel a little dated. More the interior rather than the theme. Cheeky that there was an entrance fee, not sure why that was not included in the alley hire. Bring your own shoes bowling across two floors with a bar adjacent, that was reasonably priced, 5 quid a pint. Along with bowling there is also an arcade with lots of games to choose from. Quite claustrophobic inside along with the lanes for bowling.
D.
Was ok. ALL THE BEERS ARE FLAT. but to be honest thats my preference, just not most peoples cup of tea.
C. B.
Great family fun and fantastic staff. Would definitely recommend
F. D.
Fabulous games, had such an amazing time with my homies. Drinks reasonably priced I'd say. Maybe a little on the loud side. Deffo don't bring the kids haha xxxx
W. W.
What a fun place to spend a couple of hours! Nostalgic bowling venue with great music!
S. C.
It was very nice place to have a birthday party for my son and staff it was very helpful i will recommend to everyone to have party the prices it was very good as well cheap (Ruzgar)
j.
Great bowling alley and games however the music is way too loud for a random evening withiut dancing.
T. B.
When the Lord sendeth us away from the garden of Eden for our own disobedience and careless curiosity, he made one fatal mistake...
We retained full access to Rowan's Bowl - which is surely just as good.
w. s. a.
My 6yr old son loves it here! great time out with family and kids nice arcades to keep them busy while the adults have a drink and wait to play. Friendly helpful staff nice atmosphere will be going again soon 👍
J. B.
Staff so helpful when the lane ball returned broke and balls did not return. Very efficient, fixed quickly and really very polite...
S. A.
Would prefer there be no £1 entry as we are coming in to spend money…
But good service, had a fun time
S. S.
Entry is £1. Just a good, casual night out playing table tennis, air hockey or pool and other arcade games. The main attraction is obviously bowling but it can get pretty busy on weekends and you may have to wait a while to get a lane. At other times its a cool, relaxed place which plays good music. Karaoke also available but not tried it yet.
M.
Cool place for play bowling and pool, lots of videogame as well, cheaper drink and food, recommended for a funny night
M. C.
great! love the arcade and bowling alley. drinks are expensive though
S. W.
First time visiting Rowan's and really enjoyed it. I thought the social distancing COVID measures were really good - there were screens between each bowling lane, drinks / bar snacks bought to your table and wearing masks, no one standing at the bar etc
I liked the retro vibes of the place, it's great for date nights, group of friends or families. Drinks were reasonably priced and had a huge selection. Will visit again with my boyfriend / friends for socials as its quite local.
K.
Nice place, staff is not consistent though. On Tuesday evening there's a meeting of people with learning disabilities which I think is great. However I saw once staff charging them for entrance, other time not. In general though staff is very nice. Prices are ok. And there's nice area upstairs for private hiring.
G. F. M.
We held a kids party at Rowans today, it was perfect. Great staff great venue, loads of space, nice party food. Everyone loved it
I really recommend it
L. H.
Cool place, just don't forget to bring coins
J. M. N.
I am not an expert in bowling but I won my friends! What I mean is I can’t compare with another places but the experience was good. They have cool music and a fully bar, just missing some good beer. I didn’t try the food but they have this addictive coins pusher machines!
M. H.
Good for bowling 🎳 and pool 🎱. Bar staff are pretty quick and the food is good (fast food only) nice layout and decor is pretty cool. Only issue is it gets super busy.
k. 1.
It's good but I think too loud for young kids. There is a lot going on so I would make sure that your kids are probably over 10. Younger children will be over stimulated after 1 game
C. B.
Thank you to the manager in the black dress. Doing amazing job. ❤️
M. L.
Had an excellent time with the kids. Bar staff really friendly, albeit the prices will make.your eyes water. Been going for years and will continue to do so.
L. A.
Friendly staff. Great day out for all ages. Such fun.
W. B.
Lovely place. It's a shame there's no parking. Would visit more often otherwise.
N. A.
The kids had fun and it's the same as always hasn't changed since I was young
I. T.
A nice place where you can go to have some fun. Only 3 stars because a lot of their machines were not functioning.
M. G.
Love this place. Great especially on a weekend. Karaoke is a must
m. p.
Not my usual kind of thing but great craic. Pricey to get in though.
J. N. N.
Had awesome night playing with family
T. r.
Been to better. I dont think I have ever played a game of bowling where something has not gone wrong and we have had to restart the game
C. D.
Great place to spend an hour indoors, prices are ok for bowling, plenty of nearby places to eat and drink
Z. “. A.
Nice place to go out with the children to play bowling 🎳 👌 nice drinks and desserts. A pool table area iswell for the adults and teens. Great menu. Been a part of Finsbury Park for many years and many many years to come. Fantastic place
J. J. (.
A really nice place to have a couple of bowling games. Affordable prices on food as well if fancy a quick bite.
B. F.
Good for kids parties, quiet times are the mornings.
E. M.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and a wide variety of entertainment
L. P.
Really fun day of bowling alot of friendly characters strong staff but meaningful intteractions left me quivering.
A. I.
Always a decent bowl, has to be said the upstairs lanes are the best but trickier to bowl on
R. W.
Really cool place to go with friends! I've done bowling and Karaoke sessions here with friends and it has such a nice vibe to it.
Overground and underground trains just across the road so easily accessible for those who need to travel back.
Rowans has an arcade section inside as well as a cloakroom and a few bars upstairs and downstairs.
The bowling alleys are great and fitted with all the modern technology including selfies on screen.
Great place to have your Christmas party or birthday dues.
J. C.
Fun night out with the facility and what it has, but the security is a let down and unprofessional people.
S. C.
Fun place to visit with friends. I ended up only winning two games but it is very enjoyable. There is a variety of games and activities for everyone from classical arcade style games, bar games and even table tennis, karaoke, casino and of course bowling. Please remember to call in advance to join the waiting list (karaoke and bowling) or sign up as soon as you reach so that you can enjoy other games while waiting. There wasn't any pizza though but that is minor.
A. A.
One of the greatest bowling alleys in the UK. Has a charm that no other bowling alley has.
I love rowans because it feels so authentic and feels like you've stepped back in time for all the right reasons.
The bowling alley has a super charming effect when you first see it and since then it's come a long way with karaoke facilities and snooker/pool tables.
A great place to spend a Sunday afternoon 👌
A. C.
Basic set up, but great fun. There are bumpers which come up just for the kids, standard bowling shoes, a bar. The place isn't fancy but it's cheap and got a good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for kids.
T. S.
Nearly got a turkey. Failed on the final throw. A man came and magically rearranged the pins. Rowans is my religion. Rowans till I die.✌️
J. G.
A great game area to spend a fun and entertaining evening with friends and family. I liked the fact that the place have several games area and variety of facilities. The bowling lanes, food area, bar, video games, pool, ping-pong and karaoke. You can easily spend a whole evening here and enjoy it all.
Minus star for the food, which is really lame, not fresh and tasteless, as its all from frozen. Better to come here after dinner. Will highly recommend to book in advance.
Enjoy :)
Z. G.
£1 per person to enter the building. Baffling, but true. Book in advance if you want to go bowling, or risk a 1-2 hr wait. I forgot to book. Children will naturally be drawn to the games area of arcade games etc. So during our 90 min wait, the children spent £££ on arcade games, air hockey and pool. Most games were £1. Pool was £1.50.
Table tennis too, and was £5 refundable deposit. So we paid price for not booking, but kids had time of their lives, and we parents were nearby, but enjoyed adult only time. Still waiting for bowling lane to become free, so we ordered kids food. It is a simple menu. Nothing flash here. Kids were satisfied and it was great value.
Bowling was great fun. Upstairs is quieter. Downstairs bowling has a DJ who likes to put volume up.
P. T.
Great day out with a few hours of fun with some good friends
C. S.
Good place for hanging out and playing pool. Bowling prices ok, facilities good. Staff helpful, tho management at times stand offish. Paying an entrance fee very annoying, especially when you have booked an alley
C. w.
Lovely ambience, had great evening with friends. Great value for price. Very very friendly staff.
G. H.
Great bowling alley. Took my 7yo and 3 of her friends and they had a great time dancing to music before and after our game.
We had to wait a while to get on our lane even though we booked but to be honest I expect that in a place that's so busy and don't mind as they have music so that kept the kids entertained.
Place was really clean which given how busy they were is a credit to staff. Plenty of bowling balls. And staff are really helpful.
D. D.
Good night out, reasonably priced drinks and entry, although costs more if you arrive late in the evening. Karaoke booths very fun although ideally have to book in advance. Arcade and bowling good options too, however a lot of machines are out of order and floor is rather sticky!
N. Y.
Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Music at a good level so you don't feel like you are shouting at your friends to be heard. They have upgraded their computer system which actually looks really nice. Each lane has their own customisable screen and you can add your picture too!! Well worth a visit.
S. S.
Good place to have fun with the family. A game costs £8/person once you factor in the entry and shoe hire. Place is showing its age a bit, but is generally clean and looked after.
Some of the lanes are showing their age. On lane 11 for example the machine struggled to get all pins down without the odd wobble and fall, fine for family fun, but not if you're in a competitive group.
Æ. R.
It's really an excellent place to go in the evening, the alley itself is quite nice and modern, and the bar serves rather-big, very strong frozen cocktails for like £8. Sometimes they have a DJ playing and it has a real dance club vibe. Rowans is really one of the area's best hidden gems.
M. S.
Great bowling alley. Their food prices are really affordable and the portions are massive. We had great fun and service was helpful. The music was great!
A. C.
Tenpin Bowling was good fun. There was 2 adults & our disabled autistic boy who came with us.
He was upset & distressed at fact he couldn't play or watch as other groups were hogging the pool tables constantly.
Also quite few arcades were out of order.
The owners need to rethink way they hire out pool tables as there's little fairness
L. A. C.
Really fun night out on friday! The DJ played a good selection of music and the atmosphere had good vibes all around. The drinks were decently priced and served in a timely manner throughout the night. Overall, no complaints about the place and definitely not about the barmaids who were not only attractive but very welcoming - especially that brown piece 😉.
D.
Cheap to enter. £1.00 lots of people the day I went but that's because there were multiple birthday parties going on that day. So waiting at the bar to purchase drinks was a bit long. The staff were very pretty to look at though so that made up for the waiting. I bought some food and waited a while to get it because my rickey number didn't come up and I had to ask a staff member where my food was. Eventually I got it.. The bowling is fun and the arcade section adds extra fun to your time there. All in all a good time.
J. L.
Fun night out, also has an arcade and pool tables.
L. E.
Theres a decent selection of arcade games (even though 5 were out of order) which was a lot of fun, however, place was crawling with rude and stuck up students.
The young man who served us at the bar didn't even say hello, nor ID us and just looked blankly at us, while sipping his own drink. We don't look under 18, but definitely don't look 21 (and I'm not!) - simple ignorance of not abiding by the law? Very unprofessional.
The music was extremely loud, but that's the atmosphere of the place I'm guessing. The DJ was pretty good but it's definitely more like a nightclub than a bowling alley.
Plus everyone was ordering domino's to the venue...is that common practice in these places? Rather strange.
G. C.
All your teenage memories conflated in one: ten-pin bowling, pool room, arcade games, dominoes pizza menu - they deliver directly to your bowling lane (for example), DJs that play bangers and a bar. I’ve celebrated my birthday here and had the best time. The staff are very laid back and it’s got a great vibe.
A. S.
This place has and arcade with games that you can win money in.
It eeven has a section of mini slots for adults oves 18. Security their is a little strict but overall they have good reason to be like the.
It also has an upsatirs bar area which I have personally never visited but it looks pretty cool and fun.
The bowling alleys are the true attraction though.
You can versus up to 4 friends I think and there is bowling practice bars to assist children and the disabled. The drinks served are ok regular drinks(non alcoholic) downstairs.
Over all good place to have a night out with friends or kids or both.
S. G.
Cannot recommend this place enough. All the staff are genuinely nice people, the drinks are inexpensive and there is so much to do. Bowling, karaoke, huge arcade with table tennis and you can get dominoes delivered inside! I lost a precious ring in the arcade and security helped me look for it, took details as they were closing. I biked back the next morning and a member of security, Alex has found my ring and been trying to call. He went above and beyond because he knew how much it meant. Amazing.
M.
A great place to have fun on the weekend
M. B.
This place is just great. There's a real friendly, no hassle vibe. Everyone is there for a good night out. Bar staff are genuine and friendly - I got challenged to an arm wrestle by one of the girls last time I was there :) :) Two floors of lanes, pool rooms, arcade machines. Book in advance to make sure you get the lane times you want.
N. L.
Great fun and value, with a surprisingly good bar and deep fried food. Remember to bring £1 for entry
A. D.
It's decent. The staff are a bit hit and miss, some not so friendly. Pool table took my coin without working. Alcoholic slushies are worth a try.
C. B.
Covid Has Changed The Way We Enter Buildings, Eat And Going Out But It Did Not Stop Us From Having Fun At Rownas Tenpin Bowl.
I've Been Coming Here For Over 25+ Years And Everytime Have A Good Day Or Night With Friends Or Family And Is Perfect For A 1st Date, If He Or She Likes This Sport.
Drinks A Very Reasonably Priced And There Is An Arcade Section With Pool Tables, If U Prefer Not To Bowl. Located Right Outside Finsbury Park Station So No Need To Drive.
J. K.
Fantastic old school bowling alley. It has a great vibe, where everyone is welcome. I've been going for 20 odd years, and now take my kids. The bar is cheap. Could probably do with some new balls though
K. G.
Lovely place! Been here many times, they literally have everything. Karaoke, pool, table tennis, other games, upstairs bowling alley, great music, decent drinks prices, dance floor, beer garden. Always having the best time in here. Keep coming back. Love it and definitely recommend. Small fee at the entrance when you entering at late evening time but it is totally worth it!
K. K.
This place hasnt changed its decor since I started goin at the age of twelve (I'm 46 now) and that's one of the many reasons I love it. It works. Some of my best nights out with friends, ravers, kids, strangers have been had here :)
C. C.
We had a great time playing bowling, pool and a few more mini games. For a Saturday night, we were able to get two lanes without previous booking. The staff was super helpful which was an added bonus to the whole experience.
R. M.
It's been years since I have visited the place. Google didn't exist back then. Well decided to go out for bowling and enjoyed the nigh out. The place has arcade, pool, bowling and two floors of dancing. Entry fee is laughable at only £3 after pm, before it's only a £. Nice atmosphere and good music. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
J. 8.
Had a great time for my birthday. Didn't end up bowling as was having too much fun dancing. The music was great, great vibe. Going back again next week and this time need to try the food.
M. G. (.
If you like your bowling ‘Old School’ then this is the place for you. Conveniently close to Finsbury Park station. Friendly staff. Arcade room, bar and karaoke booth. Great family day out. If you bowl on Sat or Sun afternoon, you may get lucky and get a bit of cake from a birthday party.
M.
Decent place to take the kids, good value for money. Although I will say they could do with new bowling balls and maybe some new arcade machines for the arcade room. Overall you'll have a good time
N. S. (.
I was surprised to see that this place was still going. We took the children. They enjoyed themselves. Good for a quick game. We didn't buy any refreshments or engage in the arcade games. Suitable for young children and young people.
D. B. (.
Extremely good place to spend some time with a family, quite cheap and affordable bowlingwise, however once you're there, your kids will wanna play other games on the mashines. There's also snooker tables etc. It's lost a star because of the food that's not entirely great for it's prices and the shoes could be cleaned between people, don't think they really do that. Also, why would they make you pay for the entry £1? Seriously, why? Not sure if there's a parking space around as it's pretty busy. Overall, really happy with experience I do like to come back once in a while.
M. T.
Loved the place! Great bowling with a little dancing action! No hipster BS, very genuine and diverse place well capturing Finsbury Park’s spirit. What a gem! Thank you for a great night!
S. H.
We went there for one of my friends birthday there and it was amazing. The more people the better it is.
R. P.
Had a really good night here. Although the venue could do with a bit of a remodel, the old school type feel was really good. Loved the music and the upstairs bar too. The bowling lanes were fine, bit out of date but good regardless. Cocktails were really yummy especially Rowan's Kiss! Thought the £3 entry into the actually venue was a rip off, but that was the only downfall really.
J. B.
Absolutely brilliant place. Took my six year old son on a Sunday afternoon and had so much fun. The staff were really friendly and very attentive, looked like they were having fun too. Can't recommend enough, we will be back!
M.
Went on a Saturday night, after a certain time they charge 3 pounds entry. The bowling lanes are quite busy so you might have to wait. Quite retro looking place with a games arcade. Appears to be a bit short staffed on bar and bowling front. The dj could have been better. Good mixed crowd.
F. A.
Booked two games on a lane one evening to celebrate my work leaving drinks with colleagues and we all had an absolutely amazing time! The staff is friendly, helpful, so much so that we stayed until closing time at midnight. Would definitely come back!
S. R.
Been coming here since I was a kid. Great place for a night out with the girls, or even a big group of pals. Lots to do here from bowling to pool. Friendly staff and great music. Never a dull moment, great fun and good prices
O. G.
Great bowling alley with a good bar and arcade area. However, I have gone several times and the furthest left lane has always caused some issues, either giving the wrong score, or just breaking and not resetting pins, hence I am not giving 5 stars.
The arcade is fun, but apparently sometimes thieves do operate and might steal wallets/phones. I have not encountered this, but do be vigilant just in case. I believe there is CCTV though.
R. A.
Great arcade are for air hockey and pool. The bowling lanes are well made, no bumps and inclines.
Although the areas for players to sit is way too small.
A. B.
The bowling lanes worked and good options to setup the scoreboard. It's quite annoying they don't have a cash machine inside as I wanted to play on the arcade. They also have a karaoke room which is great fun!
N. H.
An enjoyable game of bowling however I thought the entry fee and the cloak room fee was cheeky and unnecessary. with taking that in consideration it wasn't as cheap as everyone makes out but it was still a very good time sadly they do not offer food, they just hand you a leaflet and say all the pizza or somewhere else.
L. D.
Very noisy, loud and crowded. I don't recommend it on a Saturday night. Great for going out with a group but not for a date. If you do find yourself wanting to go play bowling on a weekend make sure you make reservations ahead.
L. P.
Lots to do here and for all ages and abilities. However there can be a long wait at the bar to get a drink. Certain customers seemed to get served first even if bar staff see you waiting and were before others.
N. N.
Great local bowling spot for small or larger groups; first place I actually enjoyed the game. Welcoming atmosphere for families, teens and adults with food, drink and arcade games too.
R. D.
Always such a lovely place to visit for a small gathering (Work do or birthday) or even for drinks after work.
Always better to go friday & saturday nights as the dj is on and is pretty good. Plays a nice selection for the crowd ranging through all the genres.
Worth a night out if you havent been.
a. “. s. t. r. m.
I used to go there 20 years ago. Let's just say that time has stood still for that long. Everything is so dated. The arcade games are from the 90s and really need to be updated. The food is rubbish. No parking available. But the kids loved the bowling and music.
S. T.
Good for an evening of bowling, although expensive at every turn. You have to pay to enter the building and then pay to actually play. The bar is also incredibly expensive.
The bowling alley itself is okay, but frequently breaks down and the staff aren't particularly accommodating or helpful when it does so.
T. S.
Good prices, good customer service! One of the lanes had a technical problem but it got resolved immediately if not sooner! Ordered dominos pizza to eat in there which was good too! We'll be back!
J. K.
Really liked this place, opposite the station you have to pay £1 for entry to get into the building. The prices per hour for bowling are very reasonable for London and there are pool tables too. Will definitely be going again!
G. C.
Pretty tired old place, with bumpy lanes. I'm not a pro bowler, and if you are then stay away! The lanes are pretty variable, but if you're willing to overlook the rundown decor, and the smell of stale beer... then it's an OK place to have a bit of fun.
Just don't take it too seriously, or you'll be disappointed.
M. B.
Easy to spot from Finsbury Park Station. Great vibe, good music old skool and current, 2 floors of bowling, surprisingly affordable as well, with a mini dance floor on the ground floor. Arcade games are decent could do with a bit more variety. Good tables for pool and table tennis 👌👌
J. W.
A really fun night out. Classic bowling, club, arcade and the photobooths are awesome for those who are public why but love to sing & dance in relative privacy. Book early though as booths book up.
I. S.
Like many people who grew up in North London I used to have childhood birthday parties here. It hasn’t really changed much since that time (the 90s) which for me at least is a good and comforting thing. You can bowl relatively cheaply, play largely the same arcade games and get underwhelming food. They now have some slightly nicer beer on tap (Camden Hells instead of Fosters).
J. S.
A really fun place to go whether for drinks, bowling karaoke or the arcades. However, they were seriously lacking on bar staff on a Saturday evening, leading to long queues. The bar staff who were working kept disappearing into the back.
B. M.
Decent casual bowling alley with a reasonable selection of good bottled beers and one or two on tap upstairs. They let you order in dominos for party bookings which is nice. Impolite security staff though. They could so easily start with a normal excuse me and please, rather than immediately being in "oy you" security jerk mode, which was disappointing.
I. Q.
The balls are sticky as are the seats and the shoes. Seriously, do they ever wash the shoes they give us?
Having said that, it's affordable, close to central London and an institution since it's been open before Ryan Gosling was born.
Pro Tip: If possible, ask them to give you a lane upstairs. It's cleaner, a tad quieter (less screaming losers).
C. 8.
Not bad for a night out on the cheap. Could be updated
a bit and new balls added. Half the arcade machines either don't work or are broken. Pool tables need to be replaced as table felt is damaged and also tables are not completely streight meaning balls roll when and where they shouldn't. Staff turn off power to arcade and fruit machines, even if you are only half way through a game. And no refund on money paid in.
A. M.
Very fun place for kids until 8:30pm and then becomes a VERY fun place for adults! It gets very busy though so if you don't like crowds this isn't the place for you. Epic DJ too.
M. N.
Rowans is a great place to bowl. Inexpensive games and shoe hire, lots of lanes, friendly family atmosphere. Certainly need to book a lane for after 6pm on a weeknight, but if you can get in before 5 you'll have your pick.
J. C.
Rowan's has basically every form of entertainment under one roof. Ten-pin bowling, arcade games, pool tables, karaoke, etc. Really good fun, and it gets absolutely rammed on a weekend. The ID requirements are a bit strict, and I don't like the forced scanning of ID upon entry, but there doesn't seem to be much option, when though they claim it's voluntary.
A. B.
Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, good music, pool, bowling, karaoke....awesome!!!
A. S.
Neon, tacky and cheap. I've had plenty of great nights here as there are lots of bowling lanes, an arcade, karaoke and a bar which turns into a club at the weekends. It's a good mix of childhood nostalgia for bowling birthday parties and boozing.
T. Y.
Very, very old school bowling alley. This is a positive, in that you'll be hit with a massive wave of nostalgia the moment you walk in. It's also a negative however, as they've still got all the stuff you hated about old bowling alleys. Music that's too loud, machines that break and kids running around screaming. Be prepared for a 'true' nostalgic experience, good and bad parts in all.
A. E.
It is a nice place to go ona day out. The staff are friendly, the bar is well stocked as is the arcade. The design of the place is admirable and classical american styled. One thing however, it is a bit expensive and the entrence fee is a waste of time but the bar and resturant is well worth the price.
L. F.
Great place to visit and try some bowling and pool and enjoy drinks at the same time
S. M.
It's a good place to hang out with friends and play bowling. Especially during week days, during the weekends it's very very crowded and busy, unless you book in advance, you won't have much luck. Staff not too friendly...
P. V.
Decent bowling lanes, spread over 2 floors. £1 entry fee, bit strange considering there were 25 of us booked on for bowling. Small selection of arcade games, with pool tables and table tennis too. 3 basketball games
G. J.
What to say really... it does what it says on the tin. Uninspiring exterior, but inside is fine and the staff, while not manic, are pleasant. It has a dozen bowling lanes, well kept and furnished. There are also rooms with pool tables and game machines.
A. T.
Can be a bit too crowded in the evenings. Also very few games in the arcade... But good fun for bowling as they have a few lanes. Ahhh there's an entry fee for the venue!
A. M.
Very small and crowded. Would have been great if it was massive as the Bowling Alley is in the heart of Finsbury Park and opposite Finsbury Patk Tube station. Literally short walk ( few steps) away.
Great for small functions and very child friendly.
Staff are nice. They try their best as it's always busy.
Food is Okayish. Very basic.
C. T.
Tried to charg me an adult price though none of this matches with the information on their website also I was not an adult (12). A few members of staff did not wear masks.
A. E.
Security was a bit too heavy handed, great atmosphere for day out with friends and family.
Front desk customer service isn't the best but luckily we had a determined staff that went out of his way and looked after our family and friends.
T. J. M.
Great music although it can get a bit packed and the wait to get a lane can be a bit long the drinks are fairly priced so you can get your drink on while you wait. Although you can order from other places to the alley, I'd eat before going there to save the trouble.
C. M.
Rowan's is a gem! I organised a group to come here on a weekday evening and we all had a great time. The bowling lanes are good quality, just a note that you have to pay an entrance fee of £1 after a certain time which caught us by surprise a little seeing as we had prebooked. We went for the £10 deal which involved shoe hire 1 game of bowling and an hour of karaoke which worked really well for our group. There's also a room full of amusement machines, would love to come back when they have a DJ.
R. F.
First went to Rowans over 30 years ago to play Snooker and it was great to go there this time with my daughter to play Tenpin Bowling. Great time was had and would recommend going there.
M. W. (.
Rowans is an institution. A slightly rough and ready one, but an institution none the less.
You've got a good variety of different things under the one roof. There's 24 bowling alleys, two karaoke rooms, pool tables, air hockey, and other arcade games. There's burger bar style food, good priced drinks (especially for London), and you can order pizza in.
Here's the down side - it's supposed to be closing. Enjoy it while you can.
K. L.
Bowling, karaoke, pool and arcade games all under one roof. The cash only entrance policy is a bit hood, but it has all the components for a decent evening out with a group. I've had several birthdays there.
T. B.
A great all-round entertainment venue right by Finsbury Park station. As well as the bowling lanes, there's a bar, you can order in pizza from takeaway restaurants outside, and there are studios upstairs which host dance classes and other events. A great option for an informal party or function.
U. K.
Going to Rowans for 20 years, staff have always been very friendly and courteous, weekends offer endless fun there, good music, delicious food and excellent atmosphere for tin pin bowling. It also very Central to those who live in North London and also good approach through Central London.
A. B.
Not what it looks like from the outside but inside a lively bowling alley in the most unexpected of areas. Mega cool inside arcade machines , slot games, DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) a bar and bowling. Worth the entrance fee if your waiting around the area or an organised trip with friends.
N. H.
Had loads of hilarious nights here! So much fun. Late night bowling is brilliant but watch out for the bouncers and make sure you bring ID (even if you look 60).
R. A.
Open till late so good place to go if you want something different
A. F.
You can ask them not to scan your ID since all its there for is to collect your name and address so it can be sold to advertisers. That aside Rowan's has bowling, bar, karaoke, arcade games, pool and table tennis. Great for larger groups and you don't need to plan ahead.
W. H.
Good 10 pin bowling place. Strange entry rules requiring the payment of an entry fee BEFORE you could find out how busy and how long a wait for a lane.
C. H.
Great night. Nice staff. We played table tennis, pool, bowling and had a few drinks. Really close to the tube station and a good laugh. I’d bring friends here again.
S. S.
check this out. After all these years still a great spot to visit
C. A.
Bit of a liberty as they charge £1 to get in even if you have paid for bowling. The bowling lanes kept getting stuck. However great atmosphere, a bar and reasonable food
J.
Great bowling alley over two floors, with decent gaming arcade and pool tables. You can order food to here and sometimes they have the kitchen open. Reasonably well stocked bar
b.
Went with my other half, had a fun night.
V.
We went with my coworkers and had really good time there.
S. E.
It's crowd is a bit Easy... it's a piss up venue... but it's fun. Don't expect quality for money... but the vibe is good and they you order dominos to the bowling lanes. What more do you want ?
R. B.
Excellent bowling lanes, food is ok, get good size portions. Staff are helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable.
A. J.
One of the most entertaining bowling places in London, in my humble opinion. Go in the afternoon and witness rowdy kids parties, with the adults invariably getting wasted on cheap beer. Alternatively, roll up in the evening and witness Finsbury Park's teenage contingent having it large. There's a massive games room with pool, arcades and gambling machines too. Security is pretty tight so, hypothetically speaking, if you're planning on lacing your slushies with rum that you've smuggled in from outside then remember to play it safe. Happy bowling!
C. F.
If you are looking for cheap bowling and drinks then Rowans Tenpin is the perfect place for you! Located just outside Finsbury Park station it is very convenient and easy to get to.
A. B.
Great place for music, dancing and some bowling if you’re into it. Always busy in the evenings.
The crowd can get a bit rough which is the downside.
J. “. M.
Cheap prices on the bowling, they have a karaoke area and an arcade area. They have a bar that sells the basic beers, wine, spirts and soft drinks. Very nice place to chill out with friends
D. C. (.
Always had a good experience here. Only issue is that the area around the toilet stinks. Bowling here is always fun and a good atmosphere. Pool and the arcade are always fun to play around
r. p.
Great place to socialise all staff there (security, bar backs, controllers etc...) are brilliant only down side is the game machines being faulty from time to time.... drinks are reasonably priced for an establishment like this could be a tad cheaper but not a rip off... if never been here give it a try especially mondays.
J. G.
Brilliant place, really like the strictness of the bouncers they keep people in check and do proper searches at the door. Makes the night alot of fun knowing you're safe. Great night out.
E. W.
Great bowling, and if you stay after 9pm on a weekend night, it can be one of the best night outs! They also have cocktail slushees, which I would highly recommend!
S. M.
Kids had so much fun. Friendly staff.
C. D.
We had so much fun here. The bowling had a good atmosphere, staff were friendly and the addition of the games room, pool tables and table tennis made this a great night out!
T. P.
Cool place with good prices.
C. W.
Bowling is was fine and the place had a nice atmosphere, the only problem is we had some kind of issue with our lane during each round we played.
Also they served no food on the day dispite having advertising for food on the overhead monitors
M. s.
Fun & unpretentious atmosphere. Dance floor, bar and another gaming room are good too. Chilled on a weekday. A little bit on the pricy side
M. X. T.
Good bowling atmosphere 🎳
I. M.
If you want to do some late night bowling in Central London and don't want the pretention and expense that comes with All-star Lanes then Rowan's is the place for you.
Not only is there late night bowling a boozing, there are arcades, DJ, dancing, pool and more.
Not for families or those seeking the quiet life.
D. S.
Karaoke was fun but the security was a bit .. intense? I guess there must be a reason. Also bar was slightly chaotic- but great selection of arcade games and karaoke songs!
N. B.
Great place to visit for a bit of evening fun.
It's cheap for bowling and drinks, the wait is never too long but you can play pool or other amusement games to keep you entertained.
S. D.
Conveniently located outside Finsbury Park station this great venue offers not just bowling but a variety of activities like games, and karaoke. On Saturday the room upstairs turn into a club where you can dance.
O.
Like all bowling alleys, nice area to play and watch if you don’t want to play. They might be short of shoes to change if you bring a large group over 100.
T. I.
A great place to go if not a lot of a little expensive, definitely try it for yourself.
A. J.
Went to birthday party with my son, he had loads of fun bowling and playing with his friends
K. —.
I give it 3 stars because the lane turned off automatically at one point and it ruined my fun. I came 3rd instead of 2nd and it was because of the lane malfunction. Also, the pool table is fraudulent and the mario kart game is ridiculous as it has pac-man in it and pac-man is not meant to be in mario. Apart from that, Rowan's is a great place to bowl. Would recommend to a friend(s).
J. S.
Nice atmosphere, good bar services, cool retro style arcade and bowling. A bit busy on friday and Saturday but nevertheless a solid, fun place to go. Definitely five star worthy
0. C.
Bowling, karaoke, arcade games, pool tables and a bar and dance floor. It's not the swankiest establishment but that's what makes this place so great. Always have a fun time at Rowans!
S.
Strange place. It looks grim but it's part of its charm. It's good to hang out when you just don't want to sit at the bar. Bowling/pool/ping pong and arcade. Decent selection of beers
B. Z.
Great place with a nice atmosphere. Good good prices, and good drink selection. Nice staff also.
M. L.
Lots of lanes, so you should always get to play. It's deceptive from the outside, as it looks quite small, but is actually huge inside. Staff are always there to help (say if there's an issue with the pins), and there is great selection of food and drink.
S. D.
Had not visited for a decade, went last night and the atmosphere was better than ever.
A playground for kids of all ages:-)
Karaoke was awesome!!
C. A.
Really great place to take the kids to go bowling it has a bar nice big screen playing music and a disco on Friday and Saturday nights my only complaint is that you have to pay to go in it's only £1 but never the less seems a bit ridiculous when you also have to pay for everything else wants you in their
D. V.
It was my first time at Rowan's and I can't believe I've never been before! It was such great fun. Of course it's a bit pricy but that's what you get in a place like that. Can't wait to go back again 😄
M. M.
Bowling good, bar reasonable and the DJ is excellent!
J. a.
Music is great; different on 2 floor levels, games room, shooting games, 2 bars, staff are very friendly, security staff are very good, bowling was fun. An awesome place to visit.
A. M.
The barriers in the bowling area was stuck. My booking was not on Rowans in house computing system. However this did not spoil our experience. Staff was helpful and friendly
J. T.
Overall the interior looks like it remained the same since is was opened, prices for bowling are pretty reasonable. A little strange that you have to pay 1 pound to get into the venue though..
m. d.
Rowans is a classic bowling and arcade can be quite busy at times but never overcrowded. Is well looked after.
The staff is nice
S. S.
Sometimes I have the following problem: going out with 20 people. Very different from each other. Someone likes beer, another loves playing, another one dancing. What I do to turn this problem into fun is going to Tie Tenpin Bowl. 100% guaranteed!!!
J. S.
The checks at the door feel a bit over the top and our bowling lane kept breaking down, but it's a fun venue, nice staff, karaoke booths are great and pretty fun night out.
R. W.
A great place to spend an evening and it open until 2am on Friday and Saturday. It has everything bowling, pool tables, ping pong, karaoke, arcade machines, a good bar and dance floor and DJ.
W. A.
Great night out! But a real lack of bowling. Can't award more than 3 stars. It's in the establishment's name for Pete's sake.l
B. G.
👍
B. R.
Very classy place - great for 1st dates
R. W.
Very, very crowded on Saturday night, booked at 8:30 and didn’t get to play until 12. We were told a two and a half hour wait but was a bit longer! Food isn’t that great but drinks are cheap.
C. G.
Great place, but be prepared for noise and organised chaos. There's a lot going on.
Food is functional, cheap and fast.
Bowling is fun.
R. W.
Please don't ever change the decor, it's like stepping into a timewarp back to 50s America. Full of kitsch memorabilia, and some of the latest arcade games, this kind of place needs to be kept alive. Will be back to book a karaoke room!
C. A.
Good bowling space, not outrageously expensive which was a nice surprise, with an okay range of drinks and since fun eclectic music playing. Had a lots of fun there.
D. C.
Grungy, raw, and fun. A grown up bowling alley with bar and arcade -you'll take a step back into your childhood and remember everything you missed. I had more fun than I expected to, and would go back again!
J. B.
I went when it wasn't too full (Wednesday night). The bowling was great, drink prices were normal, and games were fun. I would probably go again.
J. A.
Rowans has a lot going on and a great place to spend time if you are stuck for something to do. It's a bit rough round the edges and the music was loud but it was good value and we didn't have to wait for long to get involved with any of the activities.
M. R.
Bowling lane unlike any other in East/North London ie. It's not cool and retro, it's just retro. Kids loved it as did the adults. The food however was pretty dire.
L. S.
Best night out in North London. Bowling, Arcade games, Garage and RnB Bangers and frozen slush puppies. Everything you need. Also my girlfriend is fit and loves it here too...
A. N.
Always a good night, bring your ID and be prepped to pay a few pounds on the the door. Good music and late night food, arcade, pool and kareoke, not just bowling.
R. S.
Nice environment however they charge you £1 entry free on top of the price of bowling and they don’t take card so make sure you have change
M. I.
Brilliant laugh and visit whenever we go down as a group. Don’t expect a 5 star experience it’s all about the atmosphere within the venue and I can never fault that.
R. S.
Awesome venue, bowling might not be up to Milwaukee standards but atmosphere more than makes up for it.
G. M.
Stuck a bowling ball up my jumper and said I was pregnant. The staff told me only women could get pregnant.
"But I am a bird," I insisted.
I thought in this day and age of political correctness gone mad no one would question me, but they said people are always trying to smuggle bowling balls out under pretence of pregnancy.
"It's a fair cop guv," I said, then legged it. The bowling ball fell out of my jumper. "MY BABY!" I screamed, but no one was fooled.
h.
It's a run down bowling alley but it's a cool old school alley so it's fun and random and the drinks are cheap. I had a good time here and would go back.
D. M.
Pool, arcade, snacks and of course bowling along with a few extra utilities like a karaoke bar. Great location, cost and facilities. A £1 entry though.
W. B.
Great place great Customer service. Great place to be group's, families and friends. Free entry and discounts if you work for a Charity.
A. K.
Love this place, perfect for kids and adults. Great for bowling, arcade games, pool, food and a bar all under one roof!
M.
Lots of fun. Wish they would open the bar upstairs though. Plus their cocktails are all slushie. Which doesn't make sense.
B. H.
Cluster foxtrot, but fun night. Reasonably priced drinks. Long queue. Not my cup of tea but may return some day. Other guests quite genial.
S. D.
Great atmosphere and loads of activities inside, not just bowling. A really great night out.
r. r.
Excellent for kids night out good music venue nightlife and if you want a good game of tenpin bowling go to rowans ten-pin bowling
D. W.
The most fun I've ever had on a Friday night. A dance floor the size of a living room. Bowling. A bar. A arcade. Everyone seemed to be having the time of their lives.
B. “. B.
I visited on a week day. So service was quick with easy access to the bowling but, also the pool tables and fruit machines
I. A.
A good local bowling alley in Finsbury Park. Very popular with people on the area, drinks are cheap and you can order food to be delivered inside.
A. W.
Good atmosphere and well kept for a cheaper bowling experience, staff were polite and helpful. Always had a good time :-)
y. y. p.
Amazing place. Pool, bowling, 90s R&B and Hip Hop, club. Really cool and great fun on Saturday night!
r. w.
Great day out went lunch time not to busy
Y. J.
Midnight bowling is always fun. There is a dj so you shake a leg whilst you bowl. Amazing atmosphere.
I. A. F. S.
it seems to come back in the `80s. it`s too busy on Saturday night, but good fun.
C. B.
Good night out on a Friday with friends
S. F.
Not the nicest looking bowling alley in London, feels a bit cheap, and the experience doesnt get off to a good start when you have to pay £1 just to enter the premises regardless of whether you want to play a game
Z. W.
Great place for bowling and arcade fun
L. S.
Some of the staff was rude, having a full blown conversation and acting like they couldn't even see us standing there waiting with our failed attempts to get there attention.. other than that I had a great evening..
A. M.
Great for A family outing or with a group of friends. Chill atmosphere and well stocked bar. Going before 6pm means it's only £5
J. P.
Fun, fun, fun. Old school arcades, mediocre burgers, varied patronage, Rowan's is one of the best nights in North London.
G. M.
Nice place for birthdays and to stay with friends
M. W.
Great place take my service users who have learning disabilities...
They love it and only £5.20..
So easy to get to right on top of finsbury park Station.. 😀
c.
I was introduced to this as a Hollywood bowl (north finchley) for adults. A good relax evening. They even let you order takeout delivered here after the kitchen closes
J. T.
Great fun vibe for Saturday night bowling with friends. Make sure you pre book to avoid waiting as it’s very popular.
F. W.
The bowling is good, but the reception on arrival really needs some work. Be sure to have a pound in cash on hand to get in or it can be a bit of a frustration.
C. W.
Classic arcade and bowling, it's a good laugh however weird you have to pay to get in to the place and even get searched on the weekend.
J. N.
So much fun and they have a deal with the local Domino's for discounts off pizza! Makes for a great night out with colleagues or friends!
J. J.
Great spot for a date. Drinks, bowling, games and pool. Cannot go wrong. Arrive early on friday or saturday. Queue is out the door!
d. s.
Not impressed with ID check but great music and bowling was OK. Loved the karaoke rooms a place of every age group
T. H.
A magical wonderland of fun
L. B.
Always have so much fun here, it’s not expensive and the arcade is great. Drinks are a good price too 👌🏻
M. J.
Great fun for all ages, still make you wear the silly shoes though. Cool games area and pool tables too.
L. P.
Great for late night crazy decisions. But vibe is low quality but if you fancy late night bowling pool and dancing this place may fit the bill.
I. P. M.
Cheap and fun, don't expect anything fancy but good cheap bowling/drinks , probably worth booking in advance
E.
Love this place on a night out, if you want to bowl, book in advance. Otherwise Issa vibe got pool tables n that
V. S.
Every time we go is fab. Great atmosphere and really great staff. Looking forward to coming back soon.
M. N.
£1 entrance after a certain time. Very entertaining and busy place. Even has a small karaoke, nothing spectacular though.
M.
Such a nice fun place. Im removung one star because of the hygiene. Otherwise a fun place for family outings or even for a date
S. A.
Has a lot of lanes and at reasonable prices too, cheaper than the rest. Also has arcade area for pool air hockey as well as fruit machines
M. M.
Nice place for your kids to take out. Waiting for the re-opening.
D. B.
Amazing venue for tenpin bowling, games arcade., drinks, music... 5 stars when their weekend menu is all free from animal products 😉
M. S.
Blast from the past! The retro vibe of this place makes you feel like you're stepping into the hippest bowling alley of the 80s. Theres also a bar, restaurant and arcade here.
D. D.
Not cheap, bowling never has been but £11.50 to play one game with a toddler, about 20 minutes of entertainment.
S. A.
Nice atmosphere, very clean - esp toilets. Friendly and attentive. Had a good time.
S. B.
Everyone loves Rowans! Bowl, drink, arcade games. Good for kids and grown ups alike. Always a good time.
K. H.
Not a bad night. Dj can't mix but his selection is good.. Good ts d dance floor jumpping
B. G.
This is a great place to go to hang out with your mates. Cheap drinks, pool, bowling and arcades. What more do you want?
L. C.
Fun place with friendly staff. Shame about the food options. But there's plenty of places to eat locally.
M. D. J.
Love this place to come and spend the evening with good company! It's really cheap and the environment is nice, most of all on the weekends.
O. C.
Nice place to chill down. Bowling and bear :)
The lanes are in a very good condition.
Recommended.
j.
Good bowling alley, its not one of those hipster places though, so don't expect craft beer and street food.
J. R.
Set up nicely for either adults (bar) or kids (gutter bumpers and ball launcher). Plenty of space for kids parties.
D. W.
Had a lovely time with friendls. Need to pay £1 to get in as well as pay per game. Also the bar is very expensive .

Fun bowling alley for big parties & kids. Cheap-ish jugs of beer. We come every year for annual 'Elf bowling'!

Family day out. We had great fun bowling. Always recommend bowling for family fun activity.

Romans temping it the best club people need to come to have fun

Great place had fun played 3 games of bowling then played on the arcade machines. Can't wait to do it again.

Nice place to pass time with friends. Four stars, because they don't serve food. Burgers and chips would've gone down well.

For the bowling you will wait
But the arcade games are great
The DJ goes 'til late
And leaves the dance floor in a state

Great place for children and adults to bowl. Atmosphere is superb. Beware there is entry fee.

Great vibe and music (on a Friday). We had a few issues on our lane but other than that had a great time!

Comparing it to different bowling places this one is small, not too many lanes, but it's not bad, and there's a smoking area as well.

Great for a cheap and cheerful evening of bowling and dancing to classic 80s. Cheap food and drink, good night out

Vibey, family friendly, active, fun, variety of activities to keep you busy, occupied and off the cold streets I found the food service poor

Quite deceiving. The lane that we were allocated stopped working suddenly, we had to be relocated. Sometimes it didn't count on the turns.

Love this place! Great for a night out, bowling, arcades, karaoke room and cheap shots! Plus cheap food too

This place is hilarious. It’s bold, brash and a great place for a round or two of bowling. And it has arcades!!

The bowling aspect is fun as you’d expect but the bar is seriously overpriced and why on earth are we charged a £1 entrance fee?

Fun place but it's dated in the sense that it feels like you are transported back in time to the 90's.
edit: this place grows on you, it's actually pretty good

Such fun. Great place for a big group. Alcohol limited my bowling performance.

Standard bowling alley nothing special but does the job! Good place for groups or children’s parties.

A great place for a casual party for adults or kids. Music, bowling, pool, ping pong, karaoke, jugs of beer and grub. 👍

Good atmosphere, loads of bowling lines and nice personal. And a bonus you get a dj on Saturday nights...

Great social spot with a bar, pool tables, bowling, bar, small arcade area, table tennis tables, karaoke, dance floor and music (selected days with a dj).
