Reviews of The Top Secret Comedy Club

Absolutely great and fun comedy club and the host was really amazing too.
Great bar and decent prices, the acts were great too. Watch out of you're in the front row!
Toilets were horrible, avoid if possible.
Still highly recommended and would definitely visit again. Unique experience
If you liked my review feel free to give it a 👍 and follow me on Google Maps for more reviews!

I’m not joking when I say this is the BEST comedy club I have ever been to. I booked solely off the other reviews I had seen.
Every single comedian surpassed my expectations and my expectations were high.
I took my partner here for our anniversary and he loved every second of it, the comedians weren’t crude and boring to get cheap laughs, they were hilarious and all their jokes were easy to get and current to the current situations.
Drinks were cheap and the whole vibe was just amazing.
Genuinely I enjoyed every second of it and was sad when each comedians had to finished.
Special shout out to Ali Woods and George Zacharopoulos. And Mac who worked behind the bar
Can’t wait to come back.

My first live comedy, and won't be my last.
Was kept a surprise for my birthday, and wow, what a great night. Every act was funny, and the host was hilarious. Reasonably priced drinks, and dirt cheap for a ticket.
Overall, a fantastic experience, that is way too cheap. Fully reccomended.

I went to see the under twenty five short films which was really great to see young talent making such good content for their age! Toilets were really messy on this occasion and there wasn’t any toilet roll either, more comfortable chairs would be a nice upgrade too. But other than that, a great little venue.

This place was so fun for a Thursday evening activity! The comedians were awesome and definitely appreciated the updated, clean bathrooms! It was super crowded and warm as one would expect but the drinks were super reasonably priced. Would go back!
H. H.
Really fun comedy club with an underground feel. The acts were all great and the crowd was really fun as well. There wasn't enough seating for everyone so it felt a bit overbooked, but pretty much every seat has a good view of the stage!

Brilliant experience. We went to a night where you only pay a pound and then the rest you can choose to donate. Absolute great value for some awesome, really big acts! Always love small/intimate gigs but its ridiculous how cheap it is but we donated £30 between the 2 of us as felt it was 100% worth it.

I must have been to the Top Secret Comedy Club about 10 times now. This place is an absolute institution and a must see if you want a good laugh!! The new material nights on Mondays and Wednesdays always offer a huge range of acts and the beers are cheap as chips. Way better than the comedy store.

Visited London on valentines week with girlfriend with a surprise trip to the secret comedy club, could not have planned better! Such an ace night! Great prices and great performers! So good we had to return the next night as well! Highly recommend *****
A. A.
I can never get over how crazy cheap the tickets are. They’re practically free on weekdays, which makes it a refreshingly inclusive venue.
If you’re worried about COVID I don’t recommend going there yet, people sit close to each other and many don’t wear a mask. I was triple jabbed and wore my mask so no worries for me.
The comedy is raw, intimate, and absolutely filthy. I loved it. I went three times in a week and every time I am astonished by the value for money.
A. G.
What an absolute hidden gem. This is a real must for anyone who like to laugh. The comedians are fantastic and the small intimate venue is just right for a great atmosphere. Highly recommended and honestly probably the best value for money in London.
L. N.
Love this place! My husband and I go often and we always have a good time. Really nice atmosphere, great option for a fun night out. Best comedy club we’ve been, always the best comedians!
K. B.
Excellent value for money. Comedy acts are brilliant and some of rhe seats, even though don't look like would have a great view, you can see the comedians from any of the seats very clearly.
Great reasonably priced drinks too 😊
M. K.
£1entry then pay what you feel it's worth - great choice for a Sunday night when you are in London. Booze price great value as well.
E. G.
The comedians are top notch and absolutely brilliant! But if you want to have a “pay what you think we are worth” system please state that on the website or people would prefer to pay more for tickets to get in rather than change the vibe and almost beg for money at the end. The show was amazing and worth paying for in the first place, no need to make people feel awkward if they can’t afford to donate and leave without donating. It’s also unsafe to have everyone on the stairs like that waiting to get out. It’s worth the money so charge before, people will be happy to pay :)
D. V.
Been here a couple of times.. this is totally worth it. There are some free shows where comedians try our their new jokes..! The pint here is around £6.50, kinda normal price for this venue and location..!! If you are around Covent garden - make sure to pop in whenever they have shows going !!
A. G.
Remains my favourite comedy club in London. Visited last night after a long time and there was a great atmosphere as always along with excellent acts. Drinks and tickets are cheap so what's not to like. Special shout out to the refurbed toilets!
-. u. -.
Went there tonight, it was my first stand up comedy experience and I absolutely loved it, best night I’ve had in a very long time. The comedians were hilarious and the staff were very friendly, I’m planning to go again very soon.
The prices are very reasonable and the bars pretty good too. My advice would be to get there 20-30 mins early to make sure you get a good seat as it is very popular and fills up pretty quick.
10/10 experience thank you so much, haven’t laughed that much in ages
M.
Wonderful night out with my partner! The comedians were really good and the drinks were also reasonable priced.
E. W.
This place is such a gem. I had friends visit london before lockdown 1.0 and they couldn’t recommend enough, they still quote lines from the comics to this day. After feeling left out of what felt like an inside joke I was finally able to pay a visit earlier this week and I was cackling from start to finish. My partner and I went on new material night and we laughed so much that not only did we feel that paying £5 for two tickets was NOT enough but after adding a donation of £20 (they have rent to pay people and this is London) my partner and I both got a comedy club membership card that lasts the whole year and even then we still felt like they’d done us the favour. Drinks are decently priced and you get to see some fantastic comedians who without this place you wouldn’t think to book! Can’t wait to come back again, thanks again guys.
C. Z.
Cheap shows, cheap drinks, high quality comedy. This place never disappoints and I’d an excellent budget date-night spot. Sure, it’s a bit grungy, but I think that gives it character. And who gives af- it’s a £1-£5 show.
O. O.
Would have been five stars if we hadn’t been TRAPPED inside the club at the end of the evening until everyone donated money. I fully understand that they need to make a profit and I would have donated £50 if I could have done so online because the acts were so good but because they made us leave IN SINGLE FILE so that each person was made to donate what they could I didn’t donate anything. My friend has severe anxiety and began to have a panic attack when she realised she was stuck underground with hundreds of people. WHAT IF THERE HAD BEEN A FIRE? How do you not have a disability advocate pointing these problems out to you? Do not go on a Sunday if you suffer from panic attacks or have an anxiety disorder. Such a shame as we had a lovely night until she was literally panicked by the way the audience were treated at the end. We’re not cattle! Let people give freely rather than trapping them. Never experienced anything like that before. I’m still in shock and can’t forgive myself for inviting my friend and putting her through that.
E. H.
We got there on time but there was no where for us to sit sadly.. they did put two stalls in the bar area for us, behind the glass so we could sit behind the back row. Sadly it was very noisy in the bar area making it difficult to hear. But the comedy was good and drinks was reasonably priced, we had a nice evening :)
X. C. A.
£1 tickets are great and 100% worth it for two main acts (around an hour and a half) but it’s worth mentioning that the venue ask for a contribution by either cash or card at the end on however much you think the acts were worth paying for and they really stress this at the end of the show, as this contributes to the up-keeping of the club. The bathrooms are quite unpleasant/unsanitary but nonetheless we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would go back. Wouldn’t recommend sitting in the front seats if you don’t want to get picked on by the comedians either haha!
J. T.
Best money spent for the week. I had such a lovely time, laughing nonstop- that’s why it’s a call a comedy club… and it’s absolutely worth going,
and if you are wondering…mmm … how about… covid precautions…
well… we sat in rows, with hanging PPEs / plastic sheets (looking as if we were sitting our little fish tank) to ensure your laughter only go side ways, and that you don’t laugh into the person’s hair, sitting in the next row in front of you…
It might feel odd at first, (covid times) but when the lights dim, you had scanned the drinks via QR code, whilst a waiter brings it over to you… the alcohol kicked in… and it’s all good! Because the atmosphere was just brilliant and the comedians are great!
In summary… it’s nice to be out again… so go check it out! It’s worth it!
J. B.
I am an American who visited on a random Sunday night in January when the admission fee was only one pound. I was not expecting much, but boy was I wrong. The 2 comedians that I saw were both excellent. Even the host was funny. In fact, there was a 45 year old comedian from Bombay (Anubav Pal) that was literally the funniest comedian I've seen in more than a decade. I was blown away and completely surprised. They charged a very low admission rate, and they sought donations afterwards. I donated generously because this is an outstanding venue.
V. G.
Never was much of a comedy audience but tonight was the first time at the top secret comedy club and I had a great time. Great host, great laugh and good prices at the bar! I will definitely come back!
s. j.
Had an amazing laugh from the beginning till the end. Amazing acts on the stage that will definitely make you laugh! Not for the faint hearted haha! But a really good venue to visit if you want to have a good time and laugh.
c. t.
Good Comedians everything else not so great.
Firstly, the comedians here are great apart from the MC/Manager/Owner called Mark. Been here around 5/6 times over the last 6 months and his set is exactly the same which might not be too bad but it isn't comedy, he more attacks the audience and rambles on about nonsense.
The venue itself is probably the worst venue in London which is a shame as it does have potential but it is sticky, usually smells quite bad (tonight it smelt of vomit), the toilets are so bad I usually hold it until I get to the train (speaks volumes if train toilets are preferable). There are usually lots of flies around which is really off putting and disgusting considering its a basement club with no ventilation what so ever.
The worse part about this club is their marketing strategy. For example, tonight's show (31/01/22) was advertised as "countries leading comedian" "revieved as still the king of comedy" "preparing for sold out tour". Upon seeing this one usually has a quick Google to see who it might be (they don't tell you) if you google these phrases only one comedian shows up and that is Russel Howard as the standards recent review said he is still the king of comedy, he has a sold out tour and is clearly one of the countries best comedians. He did not appear this evening. It has become clear that this is all apart of their marketing strategy and I have unfortunately fallen for this numerous times as this is not the first time I have been fooled by their "secret celebrity guest" why don't you just advertise who is on the bill?
It's obvious they mislead customers to fill the seats and speaking to other customers on the occasions I felt mislead it's good to know I'm not the only one.
On previous visits i have been harassed into providing donations. You listen to Mark for what feels like forever talk about how there are "optional donations." This could not be further from the truth, you have to queue for at least 10 minutes to get out as Mark and other staff stand at the top of the stairs collecting donations from every single audience member creating a bottle neck. They hold you there until you pay. On one occasion my partner was quite far ahead of me in the queue and made a donation for us (we were happy to donate) however, when I reached the top of the stairs and went to leave Mark asked why in not donating, when I explained that my partner had, he was rude and implied I was lying. Asked me to point her out and then asked the other staff if she had made a donation before letting me go. Overall it was very uncomfortable, awkward and ruined the night.
Like I have said before the comedy is great just extremely frustrating how they trick customers into coming with misleading information and create uncomfortable situations and make you sit through marks same set month after month.
**EDIT 1** I have changed my initial start rating from a 2* to a 3*. I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I fully understand now if Russel was meant to show up and didn't then indeed Paul and Simon were excellent covers and on any other night I would not have been disappointed to see them at all, in fact I would have been extremely happy. I just wish you could have explained this on the night!
In terms of your comedy, I did initially find you very funny, however it is the same material that has been used for the last 6 months and maybe that is my fault for attending your venue so often but when I have seen the same MC at other venues multiple times each set has either been completely different or had changes made that it isn't quite as dull.
J. D.
Went here last night to celebrate my birthday. It was honestly so much fun and such good craic! The guy that hosts it was brilliant along with all the other comedians that were there, but there was one comedian on called Aaron McCann and he had us creased with laughter, was so funny haven’t laughed so hard in ages my sides were hurting!
The drinks were good and cheap, the toilets were nice and clean!
Was so nice being in a room full of people having a laugh and a drink.. felt like old times 🥲😂
10/10 defo recommend and hope to be back soon!
S. J.
This is one of our favourite comedy clubs and spots for an evening out in London! Couldn’t recommend it more, perfect for friends, couples, first dates, family, anyone. All the staff are lovely and every act is bound to make you laugh!
N. S.
Great night. Second time I've been now and both times were great! Went on a Monday and it was new material night, will 6 comedians were GREAT - I'd see any of them independently. Was only £1 entry which is crazy, so we were happy to pay an additional voluntary contribution at the end - TOTALLY worth £15/20.
Only thing I didn't rate was the drinks selection - really basic - no flavoured gins or fruit ciders 😬 But, didn't go here for the drinks, so wasn't a deal breaker 😊
I. D.
My fave comedy club in London - insanely cheap especially if you get a membership card, cheap bar and amazing acts whether it’s the surprise celebrity guests or not! Friendly staff and owner too. Just good vibes all round 😊
C. B. K.
Good comedy for a reasonable price.
They’ve got a good arrangement and layout to try reduce Covid issues. Obviously would be tough to keep if they restrict too much, but if you’re afraid to get Covid then best not got out.
They have a standard short list of beverages and a daily schedule for those who need a laugh any/everyday of the week.
A. H.
Went last night, and a few times before. On a tuesday its only £1! really great value, the bar is super cheap and the comedy is surprisingly long! We were there for about 2 hours 15 mins and it was pretty non stop with a couple of breaks. Celebrities go there, and also young and up and coming comedians creating new material. Would highly recommend! The only issue is they didnt let us downstairs to use the toilet so we had to wait for a long queue for the shared one on the ground floor. and it wasnt the most clean. I guess that goes hand in hand!
10/10 would recommend
C. J.
First time experience and it was actually very good. We only paid £1 for entry and the host and comedians were amazing. Get ready to get roasted if you are sitting at the front!! Drinks were very good but ideally go for any JUG pitchers. Only thing I would say if you are sitting at front, don't sit near the walls cos of the flies!! Would defiantly go again and everytime there is a different comedians. At the end they ask for donation which is good gesture as the price is very cheap for the entry.
B. K.
Fanstastic hosts and acts, exceptionally priced drinks and generally a nice venue.
Is a bit cosy which adds to the character but also means there is very little space both while sitting down and when queuing for the bar. Seats aren't particularly comfortable and the air conditioning was freezing as it was blowing right onto me.
Overall a very good and well priced place, highly recommend
S. B.
Went on a date here on Monday, it was overall a great night! Comedy acts were amazing, the bar was cheap and the toilets were clean and well maintained. The tickets were also super cheap (£1 each for entry).
The MC throughout the night was very entertaining and kept the audience engaged! At the end of the night the MC informed us all that they accept donations (pay what you can, if you can) as you leave. That is to be expected at any cheap comedy shows however, when we got to the exit door we were almost boxed in by the MC and his colleague one who was holding up a donations bucket on one side and a card reader on the other. We were made to feel unless we donated something we would not be allowed to leave. A woman actually standing in front of me who was also on her way out, pointed towards the exit door to indicate she wanted to leave and was aggressively asked if she was giving a cash or card donation, she had to keep pointing to show she wanted to leave until eventually they stepped aside and let her through. I also had to push through the middle of the guys to get out the door, it made myself and my partner feel very uncomfortable and pressured into feeling like we hadn’t given enough money. Of course I understand that they obviously want people to pay a bit more as the event itself was very cheap, so donations are to be expected however its not okay to almost barricade people in until they feel so guilted into giving more money they may not have wanted too.
Basically they imply that the night is financially inclusive to everyone from all backgrounds but then make you feel pressured to spend more money even if you don’t necessarily have it. Bear in mind where you are there, you are also spending money at the bar so it all adds up throughout the night.
It’s shame because the night overall was great but they lose points for this behaviour unfortunately at the end and to be honest its enough to put us off visiting again as this tainted our first visit to the top secret comedy club.
C. P.
Not so top secret anymore...and rightly so! Thoroughly enjoyed every show there, plus the location is great and very close to lots of offices so it's perfect for a bit of after-work fun. Will be coming back for sure!
J. M.
Great acts and good vibes. The secret headliner was brilliant but also the rest of the lineup were superb. Great night out!
P. R.
A great experience! All of the comedians were hilarious and they’re super close to the audience so be prepared for them to comment on you. I absolutely recommend this to anyone in the area.
R. S.
Would recommend especially for a night out with friends or a date! Already can’t wait to be back soon. Had a great night recently ft. Loyisa Gola, Paul Chowdhry, Scott Capurro and more. Tickets are cheap (particularly in the week though we went at the weekend) and drinks are inexpensive for London. Didn’t stop laughing the whole night!
P. O.
Fantastic night! This place might look a bit grungy and run down but don't let that worry you it's an absolute riot and well worth a visit. Plus the drinks are CHEAP!
P. S.
Favorite night out when in London very reasonable admission and cheap bar prices for Drury Lane probably the cheapest and always excellent entertainment from comedians who can perform without restrictions that would apply on TV 10/10
L. M.
The best comedy club in London!
Cozy, no bs, excellent comedians every week. New material, hilarious performances. Excellent venue!
A. L.
Great place with amazing comedians. Friday nights are the bomb.
They actually could be charging more for the talents and celebrities that perform there (please don't though).
E. P.
Spent £1 to get 2 1/2 hours of comedy show. The best part is that the drinks are incredibly affordable so by halftime you don't know if you're laughing because the show is too funny or because you already had 5 drinks.
It definitely is a place where you want to spend a night out with your friends or by yourself and have a good laugh.
S. A.
First time at the famous club. Staff are very friendly. Seating is very tight but they do warn you online beforehand 👍
M. C.
It was our first time at a comedy club and we definitely had a funny night and enjoyed it! I'm pretty sure it will be our first stop for our next London trip!
J. T.
Had an awesome night here for their valentine's special evening, a cheap date being only £1 for tickets ;)
Great acts and great laughs, will see you again soon!
C. J.
Absolutely brilliant night at this place, all the comedians were so funny and could easily be compared to those that sell out arenas. Laughed non stop, could not fault service at the bar even though it was busy, cheap drinks and relaxed atmosphere
A. W.
Visited London for three days and one of the best bits was the Top Secret Comedy club. It was very funny and the atmosphere was great. The drinks were good value too. Will definitely go again.
g. l.
Hilarious night with 5 great acts and the incredible host. Bar prices are unheard of in London and the new toilets are great. Can’t wait to return
J. D.
Been a few times now. Great place with some great comics. The bar is well priced for London and free tickets to many work in progress shows is unbelievable value. I expect to see many of these comics on the tv soon. Don’t miss out on the chance to see them before they get big!
T. H.
I absolutely loved coming to the Top Secret Comedy Club! The acts were brilliant and had us in tears of laughter. Would definitely recommend for something a little different!
z.
Random visit, spur moment and had great acts as well as a surprise stand up star, Russell Howard. Loved the house and chest hurt from all the laughter.
R. O.
Great evening out, comedians were hilarious and the host cracked us all up too - top notch. Brilliant banter back and fourth with the audience. Would 100% recommend if you've got a spare night in London
R. R.
Have been many times and such good value as a student! Have seen some big names as surprise acts but always a good time. Great atmosphere and definitely recommend to anyone
O. M.
I've been for the NYE show a couple of times with friends and we always enjoy it! Good laugh, VERY cheap drinks and a bit of something different.
S. P.
Great value for money and some good comedians, but one star off for the absolutely deafening speaker volume on Wednesday 17th of November. Seriously the audio engineer, if there is one, has to be replaced, people all around me were covering their ears in horror.
Extra star off for trying to buy 5 star reviews in exchange for free shots 😑
L. E.
Mediocre comedians and constant delays waiting for the acts to come on, breaks between the acts too long.
The host was brilliant though and the venue ok size. We could just have the host as an act instead!
S. S.
Best comedy club I've been to hands down. It's a real mixed bag of comedians but that's what makes it fun. Drinks were cheap and entry was only £8.
M. S.
Love this place for a fun cheap night out. Great talent and reasonably priced drinks
Remember to take cash to tip the bucket. Really important for the performers
O. O.
Have been a few times now, always with different groups and every time we've laughed the whole way through! Loads of performances each night, (timings work great) and such a variety of good quality comedians (especially love the surprise 'big names' that drop in) with a GREAT host!!! Thanks!
H. S.
Comedians of all different levels perform here and every night I've been has been great. You get to see huge names testing out new material at an incredibly low price. Drinks are also very reasonable.
Z. C.
Great evening, good value for drinks.
Comics were amazing. Even got a signed book for a tenner.
P. W.
Excellent value with top names regularly appearing. Just £1-£3 admission, leave a tip on the way out for what you think the night was worth!
J. K.
Basement venue with curtained off seating that opens out depending on the numbers. Bar is reasonably priced but best of all are the acts. Funny people delivering a fun night.
P. G.
We arrived at 830 for a 9pm performance. The only seats left were on a thoroughfare and required us to turn our head 45 degrees in order to see the stage. Staff and customers were constantly walking in front of us during the performance. The seats were tiny so I was constantly rubbing shoulders with the guy next to me.
Felt like I was participating in a capitalists wet dream on how to make the most money out of the smallest space possible.
The acts were decent but the venue was terrible. I won't be going back.
R. D.
What a night. What a show. So funny, so cheap. So inclusive. Left buzzing after their secret act was Russell howard. Please rememeber to tip guys!!! And please give it a go.
A. B.
Staying at the Travelodge literally yards away, so thought it'd be rude not to go. Went to the 7pm Friday show. The MC, Mark, was fantastic, as was the first act, Sally-Anne Hayward. But Robert White just bought the house down, so so good. Couldn't do the review in the club due to no signal but will be back to claim the free shot offer!
A. H.
The comedians were great!!! Nice Friday after work activity! Not sure about the wasted crowd though haha
K. S.
This place is a must! Great comedy club and good prices for entry and drinks. Woo woo drink is sublime! This place is a cheaper than many other places. Been twice already and can’t fault it! First time we went, there was a mystery act which turned out to be none other Paul Chowdhry, absolute legend!
A. T.
Top quality comedians, celebrities or not. Really enjoyable shows, however, room on ground floor is small with low ceiling and seats are squished together. Quick bar service.
K. S.
So, as a person that follows stand-up it didn't knock me of off my feet. The last act was the only good one. The venue could be better but in a city as big as this one it works. Therefore 4 stars and not 5.
J. A.
Absolutely love it here. Good vibes, absolutely hilarious and cheap drinks... What more could you ask for?🤷🏾♂️
K. S.
Amazing night! Me and my mum went and loved it, different comedy for everyone's taste, was laughing all night will definitely go again next time I'm in London
H. G.
Went last night, and the quality of the comedy was top-notch. It's fantastic value, as there were seven comedians on and you pay what you think it's worth on top of the extremely cheap entry fee.
I've only knocked off a star as our experience was hampered by some very drunk guys sat next to us who would. not. stop. talking. And one of them even made bigoted comments to a couple sat in front of them, while the other topped off the night by throwing up on the floor next to us... Charming.
They were finally thrown out after multiple people (including us) alerted the organisers, but the worst offender somehow found his way back in towards the end and came back to hurl abuse at us?! Not the organisers' fault, but perhaps tighter security for reprobates would be great. Otherwise a fantastic night and would recommend!
S. C.
Was a very nice experience the people were friendly, beers available, no entry fee but can leave a token of appreciation in the bucket at the end.
The comedian and energy of the place were definitely a delight, I would recommend visiting here at least 3 times to get the sense of different comedians.
F. M.
Really fun for £1 MC and both comedians were great, I was happy to pay extra for the membership at the door but beware that they are quite pushy for you to donate more as you leave (and it is for a good reason like I said I was happy to pay) but if youre short on money or anxious just be wary because they stand at the exit meaning if you refused to donate or couldn't afford it then it would be in front of all the other audience members and host.
J. S.
Amazing comedy club, always a great experience with wonderful people! Drinks are cheap and it’s become me and my fiancé’s date night of choice. 100% recommend if you’re looking for an easy, fun and great night out!
H. J.
Absolutely amazing night. Have not laughed that hard in a long time and such amazing value for money. Will definitely be coming back and bringing more friends! Excellent entertainment and nice to feel like an element of normality has returned!
S. R.
Had a lovely night. It was very full loads of people very close vacinity of eachother. No leg room whatsoever. But the show ran on time and we'll. The comedians was funny, overall a good night. Prices of drinks at the bar was reasonable.
The lady Infront of us, everytime she laughed head flew back and her head was in my lap all night, if she wasn't laughing her and her boyfriend was playing with each others tonsils, and being so close to everyone, it was disgusting.
The tickets are 1 or 2 pound, so at the end you are asked to give money such as £10 or more, they have a card machine. It was a bit awkward as you don't know people's situation. This should of been on the ticket confirmation or some notice before getting ambushed.
With people doing card payments and another person standing with a bucket collecting money it makes the cue getting out very slow and claustrophobic.
I would recommend, and I would go again.
M. B.
This place is insane. Drinks are affordable and the comedy is not only more affordable but an absolute bargain. Stoked to take people I know here.

Was looking for something different whilst on a weekend away and came across this with £1 entry fee for Sunday night stand up. Wasn't sure what to expect or even if we would stay all night or even enjoy it but certainly glad we have them a chance, bar prices were great, everyone seated and it was a great laugh with a few breaks so you can pop back to the bar.
Host was very entertaining as well.
We did leave early as wasn't to keen on the last act (just our opinion) and wanted to catch dominoes before they closed. We just missed them so would recommend ordering online for 11pm collection so it'll be ready for you.
Great evening and would certainly recommend.
E. L. C.
We had a really good time, fun comedians and a good bar with very decent prices given the location.
C. E.
The host was really cool he looked a bit like Jesus which is a bit funny given he's muslim. But honestly great shows great comedians and great hosts definitely worth the money. ( it's cheap).
F. m.
Excellent night out with friends. Great price and the acts are always hilarious. Good atmosphere but get there early to get a seat all together.
H. A.
Not a great venue. Cramped and basic seating. Couldn't see the stage without having to turn my head, which left me with a sore neck by the end of the night. There is one toilet in the upstairs room - it was not very clean. The comedy performers themselves were alright however.
B. W.
Honestly the best comedy club I've been to in years above new York clubs - great surprise celeb guests
L. C.
Absolutely hilarious comedians loved it but after paying to come in there was a fairly forceful ask at the end of the show to pay for what you've watched which made you feel rubbish if you had nothing to give
H. H.
Unbelievable experience with incredible comedy through, will be back without a doubt !
S.
A great little comedy club tucked away on Drury Lane. The drinks are a reasonable price. A variety of comedians appear here
A. D.
A cheap no frills venue where you can see some great comedy acts! Also one of the cheapest bars in London, I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't want to visit.
J. T.
Best live comedy I've seen in years and most buzzing atmosphere ever in a comedy club 5*
T. L.
Great place if you want a night full of laughter! Glad I found this gem. Will come back definitely. They have also kept the place covid safe. Good effort!
C. S.
Great value for money tickets, good value for money drinks all around top notch night. Obviously acts on the night vary but worth a punt for the price assuming your not coming too far! Highly recommend.
O. T.
So cheap for such good comedy! Amazing atmosphere. Love it. Definitely a fun yet cheap activity to do in London
J. S.
It was my first time going to an English speaking comedy club, I was afraid there would be an Irish comedian, since I have some trouble understanding them, and there was one, which ended up being my favourite of the night. Great night, really fun comedians, really nice prices, I will definitely be back there.
J. H.
A spit and sawdust type of venue, but fabulous value for money, we’ve been there loads of times now and it’s a definite favourite! Consistently good performers!!
S. G.
Went there tonight the vibes and atmosphere was epic!! Staff and audience were really friendly and welcoming. Defoe recommend for one of those to do things in London very cheap so cheap it’s free !! Will be going there again very soon
J. D.
Really good comedy acts for the show we went to on Sunday at 6pm, tickets were £1 and did not dissappoint, very fairly priced drinks at the bar (no cocktails) but all your standard spirits, beer, wine and prosecco. Would go again and greatly priced for London
L. E.
First time visiting on Thursday, the comedians were top class, laughed all night, and a fabulous price. Only minor suggestions would be the seating / layout is not great, and tickets were obviously oversold as many were standing in the back.
H. C. B.
Had an amazing night! Great acts. Plus the lady at the bar looking fiiiiine!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
K. M.
Compare was fabulous, Axel Blake saved the day with his natural flare and command of the stage; hilarious.
Sadly the ladies toilet left a lot to be desired, hence the 3 star feedback.
Γ. Β.
Great club - Amazing show! All comedians were great and as the cherry on top Jeff Ross appeared on stage out of the blue and killed it!
H. V. C.
Amazing show and atmosphere. The funniest act of the night was hands down was Imran's. For sure will be coming back for more laughter.
M.
Such a sick venue, come here regularly with my friends for a cheap night out. Drinks are reasonably priced and the acts are always hilarious, top venue to visit!
C. C.
Absolutely top quality comedy. Enjoyed my night with friends. Can't fault the comedians they had in tonight and a heckler got put down in flames.
D. S.
Probably not the best place to be at during Covid-19.
2/4 acts were good, and not great, not even sure more alcohol could help elevate their humor.
The plastic screens separating the audience were flimsy and dirty.
Man in front row also collapsed during the end of the last set, which was abit of a downer, proper joke ting
M. S.
Without doubt THE BEST comedy show I’ve ever been to! Great staff, great night, can’t wait to go back again!!
E. J.
Really enjoyed our evening. Top rate comedy from some of the very best. If you don't mind sticky floors and a very cosy establishment it's well worth a visit.
L. B.
My boyfriend and I have this thing where we LOVE seeing live comedy shows whenever we travel. We decided to look some up while in London and try one out. This one was close to our area and had good reviews. The tickets were cheap. We walked in and it’s first come first serve. We got there early so we got to pick our seats first. The bar is open before and after the show; also in between sets. The drinks were really cheap and strong. The host of the evening was amazing ! I wish I could remember her name but she was hilarious! All the comedians after her were also funny. This show gets 5 stars because I laughed the entire time. They were all super interactive with the crowd too. My boyfriend and I got picked on a few times, it was great !
A. K.
After dinner, We saw this comedyclub on our way and we decide to get in. and Omg! We love here soooo much! They are really witty and funny at the same time. we paid for 10pound for tip, but i guess they deserve more, Thx u for make us laughing loud : ) see u guys again !
D.
Great Saturday night, staff were super friendly, comedians were great, bar served you quickly BUT seats were cramped and there was no aircon/ventilation so it was super hot which didn't help Covid!
S. W.
Every time me and my partner have been to London we can’t help our selves but visit top Secret even when we decide not to go they email with a fantastic price to see some celebrities so we have to! You won’t get booze cheaper in London! Also the new toilets are stunning! Nothing funny about them! - the best thing about top secret is no two nights are ever the same! Worth the visit!
A. P.
Great little venue, always a fun night out never had a bad comedian, amazing value for money
R. L.
Real authentic place, always featuring very distinct comedians, it's great!
P. C.
Brilliant acts as always. Also got to see a celebrity.
Worth the money.
Highly recommended.
Definitely my favourite stand up comedy place in London
L.
T. K.
Had a blast tonight! It feels like uncovering a gem. This place is bustling and vibing! Can’t wait to come back.
S. Q.
Great comedy, even with a new material night. Very cheap entry (£1) and reasonable drink prices (£3.50 pint)
A. F.
Funny comedians at a great price. Drinks are reasonable and registration is easy.
Make sure to come early as seats get taken up.
L. P.
Great night to be had on the first Saturday night after lockdown. Screens everywhere, seat service, a new bog, great atmos and comedy, what more do you want. Thanks to the team.
S. B.
Found this place exploring London £1 in on a Sunday so why not now the floor is a bit sticky but my god the best night I've had in a long time, absolutely brilliant🤣 laughed from start to finish, if your in London check it out you'll really enjoy it
R. A. S.
Was a nice night, good atmosphere, was caught off guard with asking for money at the end... And then to have what seemingly judged by what we put into the box.
A. A.
Great afternoon spent there listening to some comedy sketches. I woul recommend coming early so you can get a seat.
H. G.
Hilarious people, affordable shows, nice community. I enjoyed it 🤘🤘
C. d.
The comedy on Monday night was so incredibly good. This place is a gem!!
I didn’t have to pee throughout the whole thing so I can’t review the bathrooms!!
M. o.
Love this place. Can always count on Top Secret to deliver quality entertainment.
Keep it coming!!
P. M.
Fantastic little comedy club. Cheap tickets and cheap drinks. Definitely be coming back
J. N.
First comedy show anywhere. Pleasantly surprised. Very clean, not at all “tacky”, drinks are cheaper than your typical central London prices. What’s not to like?
A. R.
Interesting place, some great stand up comedy. We were fortunate to attend the night with 4 presenters. All were quite good. The place fills up fast. It's a small venue. Donations are expected. Reasonably priced bar, food is not available.
C. D.
Friendly staff members, excellent comedy acts and very easy venue to find.
Will definitely go again!
H. T.
I would highly recommend! The tickets were very reasonably priced and the atmosphere was great! I really enjoyed all the acts!
A. S.
had such a fantastic time here, they picked on me all night but i've never laughed so much! Highly recommended if you're looking for something different and fun to do.
H. C.
Another hugely enjoyable night out at this place after so long. I've been many a time and great to come back to see some fantastic comedians, with a full audience!
The noise from out the back was a little loud, the screens between rows aren't ideal but are a sign of the times and the queue for the bar can get long. But the imperfections make this place! It feels so intimate, the owner seems great and its always a fun evening. Highly recommend.
C. T.
Always a great night at Top Secret Comedy Club - cheap tickets & reasonably priced drinks. They frequently get top level & celebrity comedians in, can't recommend enough!
m. B.
Brilliant value and a true London gem. A really fun event! It is filthy though.
M.
The host and the 2nd act were brilliant, the rest were really mediocre. Was told the drinks are cheap - over £6 for a regular pint of lager, wonder how much an expensive place would be?
A.
Really great comedy. All the comedians we saw were very funny! Love the Moretti jugs.
A. B.
Good shows, plenty of comedians, super cheap tickets!
C. F.
Well worth the money! You go downstairs or to a dark room (with a bar so you can quench your thirst after a round of hearty gaffaws) and it geniunely feels a bit top secret! Great way to see famous acts and get to know amazing comedians you might not have heard of. Been there twice and planning to go again! Good for a date night or a group outing.
H. S.
Great comics and friendly staff. A good addition to a good night out in London. Unfortunately the room is very cramped!
h. c.
Brilliant evening - would highly recommend! Cheap drinks and amazing comedians!
L. A.
Always the best for stand up in London - amazingly cheap prices and fabulous comedians (and apparently new toilets too)!
A. I.
Went for the 1st time last night and what a brilliant experience.
Fantastic venue that's so laid back. Great location and cheep beer!
Some really great acts too:)
Definitely gonna return!
C. W.
Just got back from a brilliant night at the Top Secret Comedy club! Great acts, amazing friendly staff. Best priced bar in London by far! Cannot wait to go again!
R. B.
Great comedy club, I highly recommend it. The compere was brillant and probably made the night. There were 4 acts and all were really funny. Cheap drinks in the venue as well. We had a blast and laughed all the way through. Will return when we are next in the city. Go check it out!
H. B.
Wonderful experiance went on a Monday for 1£ loved it couldn't recommend enough cheap drinks and a funny night out
J. L.
Great night of comedy, cheap drinks and the ladies toilets have been revamped. Highly recommend (and we even saw Dara O Briain!)
H. R.
Nice little venue. Very reasonable. Been a few times. Like all comedy clubs the acts can be hit or miss. Every time we've been there has been one standout act that makes the trip worthwhile. Suggest you get in a little early for the good seats. The seats right at the back a little uncomfortable.
U.
We had lot of fun in this comedy club. We did not know what to expect but I had great time. 5£ entrance. The host was great and the comedian too. I can’t wait to go there again. I would love to say more but... it is TopSecret, you must go and know what’s going on. Cheers and HappyDays
D. L. 1.
Had a great night! Absolutely worth coming and staying for that many hours.
Y’all gotta definitely visit !! 😍😍😍👏👏👏
A. M.
An extremely fun night out. Great MC. You really feel like you're in a safe pair of hands the entire time. Genuinely funny people, seriously cheap drink, beautiful, clean, well maintained toilets!
N. N.
Cheap as chips and that's pretty OK in my book. It could be filled with snakes and you couldn't complain because it's literally a quid for a laugh in the week.
A. A.
Comedy was top notch! Seriously good value for such quality performers! Fabulous night!
We went to the Vietnamese restaurant over the road to start the evening on recommendation!
J. F.
Great venue, cheap drinks, usually great line-up and the odd a lister doing practice material. Only con is pretty dingy toilets even though they've been upgraded recently (sorry) but it's all part of the package really.
C. A. M.
Brilliant night as always, comedians come from everywhere and always put on a good show. I will be back, again!
C. R.
Fantastic. This is one my favourite places in London. The comedy is always hilarious, the venue is awesome, and everything is cheap as chips. My only criticism is the semi-transparent plastic sheets strung up between each seat row. I know they're intended to prevent covid spread, but covid knows how to move over and under, making them totally useless. All they do is make it hard to see the act and instill claustrophobia. They're also not set up everywhere which makes little sense. Sorry to rant they just annoyed me. Otherwise we all had an awesome night! We'll definitely be back soon
L. M.
Amazing!! I loved every act it was ridiculously hilarious. Couldn't stop laughing 😆 (minus the one idiot in the crowd who shouldn't have bothered to come in)
H. R.
We booked to go last night, we were not disappointed. It was a great night with loads of different acts. The place is what you expect from a comedy club, drinks are cheap! Great place and will be back again
O. N.
A hidden comedic gem! So cheap; yet with a such a high calibre of laughs and performers. Couldn't recommend enough.
M. D.
Intimate venue with great acts and staff, and cheap drinks! Would definitely come back again
V. M.
Amazing. Just go. We paid £1 for entry and both acts and the MC were hilarious.
E. D.
Small, dark, not so secret, I loved it :D I've been twice so far; the success of the event is based on how good comedians are and of all I have seen so far Paul Chowdhry was the best; he was really funny! This place is really friendly, it's impossible not to feel comfortable, especially if you take a seat with a nice cold beer, or 2:) the only thing is that when it's fully booked and you're late, you will hardly find a seat and you will have to stand.
B. Y.
Always having a blast when I visit Top Secret comedy club. This was probably my 4th visit and it was just as brilliant as every other time. From the host to the comedians always a great performance and guaranteed laughs! Strongly recommend to anyone!
C. M.
Great place, hilarious comedy and cheap drinks. Loving the new bathrooms!
G. L.
Great night, cheap price of £1, free for students! You get 5 comedians and they were all super funny. Hidden gem, definitely will recommend :)
W. R.
Always great comedians, feels authentic like a dive bar which is great. Great shows!
A. H.
Went here a few nights ago and watched Jacob Hawley who was fantastic. Really good night out with reasonably priced drinks. 100% recommend if you're in London.
M. L.
Most of the acts are brilliant, but one time the crowd was quite disruptive and the staff didn’t do anything which was slightly annoying. Great value for money overall, drinks menu is good with very quick service. On the whole highly recommend.
L. H.
Lolling all evening.. 100% recommended. Toilets are great too.
S. A.
Great venue, small and intimate, polar opposite of big theatre gigs. Only a fiver for the early show on a Friday, great value, give it a go, what have you got to lose? Apart from a fiver.
L. M. L.
Watched the monday night show, some comedians were great, but the star was definitely the main presenter, he engaged with people, and made it all the fun. Definitely worth it your 1 pound! Tips are a must!
R. S.
Laughed so hard my belly hurt. Nice mix of comics, you’ll want a seat right upfront
V. S.
Got educated on a thing or two 🤓
Humbled atmosphere, great balance of topics
Nico, Mark and George thank you for sharing a laugh with us 🙏🏼
E. E.
The comedy was alright. 2 great acts and 2 not so great but thats the luck of the draw. The sticky floors were what really got to me. I was wearing ballet flats and they stuck so badly they were pulling off my feet 😫. Shame.
C. M.
Comedy acts were superb. I wasnt impressed with the cleanliness, especially in Covid times.
C. M.
Was a great night. Had a lovely time. All the comics were hilarious and it was new material nighg but was as funny as any of the others. Will be there on as many Mondays as possible.
P. D.
Great little venue. Great comedians, cant argue about the price
M. R.
Awesome club. So funny. Drinks way cheaper than I expected for London.
A. M.
This place is AWESOME. The mc, Nico Yearwood is bloody good, very quick witted and there's a great variety of comedians. Sundays are just £1 entry so try it out!! 😍
F. H.
Absolutely cracking night at Top Secret. I have been several times now and it never disappoints - the acts are great and interactive with the crowd and an all round top place to see some very funny comedy. Drinks are also cheap which is never a bad thing... tickets are also really cheap for such a great evening. Look forward to going back already.
M. C.
Laugh your a33 off kind of funny. £1 tickets is a travesty; donate lots more if you can :)
A. B.
Great acts. Good covid safety procedures although I would have preferred if the ticket scanners had let me put my phone under the scanning machine (versus taking my phone out of my hand to scan).
Excellent value for money and our seats were perfectly placed to enjoy the entertainment. Speedy service too!
r. h.
I had a fabulous night! It reignited my love for laughing! I am always too honest and you made me feel at ease. An honest gal is easy to gag!
D. H.
Cheap drinks. Cracking comedians. Great location. And Sunday nights are unbelievable value. Couldn't recommend more 🔥🤘
E. P.
Never a bad night at Top Secret Comedy Club. Staff are all super friendly. All the acts were hilarious and the host was brilliantly funny. Despite a few rowdy hecklers, it was a great night. Covid safety measures are all in place without detracting from the experience.
Just a heads up for anyone who experiences sensory overload and may be feeling unsure. Before the show and during the breaks can be a bit loud and busy but if you get there early enough you can grab your seats and then just step outside until the show starts - someone will come and tell you when they’re ready to start.
Lighting is kept minimal during the acts. The room is quite dark with 1 or 2 yellow static spotlights pointed at the stage area. The sound engineer is good, keeps the levels to a manageable volume and the breaks are well-timed to break up the evening. Obviously cheering and applause is heavily encouraged so it can get quite loud in these moments.
S. R.
Always good value for money for a London based comedy club.
A. M.
Such a good night here!! Saw Darren Harriot and Ian Stone. Both comedians were hilarious and great at involving the audience! Would go back 100%!
h. c.
Great spot made me laugh the whole time second time coming and would definitely come back
J. M.
Great night of comedy, for a very reasonable £20! Good, upbeat atmosphere too!
D. p.
Very good night out even the new martial nights are great!!!
Yep that's what I meant see even the review banter is great 🤣🤣🤣
M. M.
fantastic evening of top notch comedy. I went with my wife on a £3 per head night. the compere was very funny and all the acts, despite being a try out night, were hilarious. The icing on the cake was Reginald D Hunter coming in and doing a practice set.
ps. the drinks were the cheapest we had in London
E. L.
Excellent venue catering for all people of any income. Comedy for £1 - yes please.
F. C.
Such a great night at Top Secret Comedy club! All the comedians were class. Would be good to see some women on the bill next time.
M. N. D.
Really enjoyed the zoom comedy night! I miss being there in person but this works too. We had our camera on for the first half but then turned it off as we were eating dinner. So no worries for those camera shy. Stephen Bailey was hilarious, can't wait to see more of him!
C. P.
Don't let its appearance put you off. I've been about 15-20 times over the years and never had a bad night. Sure, there are some jokes that float like a lead balloon but on the whole, there is brilliant, original comedy from a range of acts. With a cheap bar and recently refurbished urinals, there aren't many reasons to not visit.
J. O.
Brilliant night out, host was hilarious and all the acts were amazing!
B. C.
Not very secret, big sign out front gave it away from some distance.
Other than that, very good venue, good time all round.
N. A.
Amazing night, favourite comedian was special guest too!
C. H.
Quality comedians, great atmosphere, you can order drinks to come to you while you watch, and for £1 entry you'll never be disappointed. Would recommend to anyone, whether you're into stand up or not, if you've got a sense of humour you'll have a great night.
S. O.
The best comedy club we have ever been too. A must for any body who loves to laugh
M. H.
Great host, entertainment and overall atmosphere. Questionable loos- would recommend
C. D.
Good mix between intimate setting and lively crowd. Cheap bar for London standards. Varied acts and genuinely funny. They ask you for money at the end though so not as cheap as it seems, I'd rather pay for a ticket than be guilt tripped.
P. D.
Laughed from start to Finnish here. Great atmosphere, funny as hell comedy and great prices on drinks. Could not recommend this enough for a night out in London!
H. N.
Such a good vibe, really fun and surprisingly cheap night out! Couldn't recommend more
A. Č.
Visited for the first time yesterday. Had a great laughs and loved the concept of free (or 1£) shows on mondays
M. L.
Sadly don't live in London so don't get here too often. But the times I've gone was a great time. And I've been really enjoying their zoom shows. Good on the crew for keeping things running during lockdown and keeping us laughing!
M. H.
Incredible gig, only knew one of the acts on there and he was the worst! The rest and the compere all incredible, well done Nico!
S. C.
This is hands down my favourite comedy club in London. Good to see acts doing new / untested material as well as their regular stuff plus the huge bonus a big name might be there - Reginald D Hunter tonight he was brilliant
A. K.
Best cheap comedy night in London! Had a blast!
V. H.
Nice little place in basement very near to Holborn. Really enjoyed Sukh Olja's stand up comedy
P. B.
Such a fun night! Amazing celebrity guests! My second time here and cant wait to come back! The MC, who is also the owner I believe, is great!
K. A. B.
I really enjoyed the show, atmosphere, and cheap drinks. Heads up to anyone planning to go, at the end of the show, the host closes the front door and gives a schpiel on how the audience is expected to donate what we think the show was worth. When you funnel out of the venue, the staff stand at the front door to ask you what you plan to donate (rather than whether you would like to). While I appreciate that the club is in need of revenue and the comedians deserve monetary compensation for the evening, this approach to gaining revenue made me uneasy and ruined the night a bit. When I bought the tickets for just a pound each, I figured that they were so cheap because the comedians were trying out new/ untested jokes on us that night and that the venue would make most of its money through all of the drinks we were buying (with a percentage distributed to the night's acts...the way it works with musicians in a club). I wish that the venue would just charge a normal but affordable amount for the tickets or just give some warning before attending that they are looking for donations on top of drinks and ticket prices (the way the national museums do it). Still a fun night, but, as a student on a tight stipend, the suprise semi-aggressive donations-based approach was unpleasant- I would have happily paid ~8 pounds for the ticket or slightly more for drinks without the guilt trip and coercion at the end, as to avoid suprise spending.
M. R.
Fantastic fun evening. Well worth a visit in london
G. P.
Great little venue, the acts were all very good and engaging. The only reason for the missing 5th star is the owner - he did the MC work himself and tries a bit of comedy in-between the main acts, the problem is his comedy seemed to be on the side of actual desperation and almost a cry for help, the guys had a rough lockdown clearly, I hope him or his team see this and get him some help. I'd highly recommend this place and will visit again!
K. T.
This was such a good last second event to go to was amazing the jokes funny the tickets dirt cheap and the drinks cheap
Went there last night to see 'Uncle Roger' make an appearance. Well worth an evening trip out
E. D.
I've been to this place pre covid and it was great for a cheap night out but unfortunately the new dividers really hinder the experience a lot and I hope the club will be able to remove them as restrictions ease. It's dark and dingy but the comedians are funny and the drinks are cold (most of the time), will definitely be back
S.
Such great quality, I was not expecting such talent. I would 100% recommend top secret comedy for a night out.
M. K.
The secret comedy club were amazing!!! Everyone should go! We had such an amazing time and the host was the best! Also sorry about your dead baby.
L. J.
I only went for a £1 podcast rehearsal during the day but it seems to be a great venue. The choice of draught beers downstairs is abysmal though. They wanted £5.15 for a Kronenberg so I only had one. If they'd had a craft beer or a great ale I'd have brought two at upto £6.50 each, so they're shooting themselves in the foot somewhat.
S. T.
Had a fab night tonight at top secret comedy club, we come every time we visit London, it's cheap, the beers good and also cheap, the acts are always great, toilets aren't so great
D. A.
Loved it, good laugh! Will come here again when back in the UK definitely!
J. G.
Great sets, great presenter and great audience. Spent a great afternoon at the club!
Y. S.
Typical comedy club setting accompanied by a bar, they take cards as well. You can book in advance via they're website, tickets are relatively cheap for the early shows and double for the late show. Some well known comedians started out there, staff is a bit tense for a comedy place but all in all not bad.
J. B.
Great night out any night of the week. Great acts reasonable bar prices and great crowd.
C. C.
Amazing time - loved every min! So hilarious.
I. O.
Great place with cheap drinks and cheap entry! Awesome value for money and highly recommended. Greta night out in the westend cant wait to go again!
A. N.
Dean Baptiste and Prince Abdi were great! love the venue
J. L.
Great night. Dane Baptiste was amazing. Cheap drinks as well
P. T.
Great comedy club. We've had some fantastic times here and seen some big names but the 'up and coming' acts can be amazing too.
It's really difficult to run comedy on Zoom during COVID-19 but somehow they manage o pull it off. We'd give 6 stars if we could.
J. H.
Been here a few times, love it! Staff are great, MC just as funny as the comedians. Reasonably priced drinks. Good set up for COVID 19.
R. S.
Doing their absolute best under difficult circumstances. Groups are sat apart so less tickets can be sold, perspex screens in front of each row to help with covid safety, drinks via an app and for £12 for over an hour with experienced Comics you can't really go wrong. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and great value for money.
s. s.
Great place comedians very funny. And drinks dirty cheap, of course you get what you paid for and venue is not tidiest nor are drinks best. And honestly hate the chairs.
Anyway amazing place in central London
J. P.
Arrive early to gurantee seats with your crowd. Very funny comedy with new acts each week. Bar on site. Approx 50-80 seater
F. O.
I wasn’t sure what to expect as i’d never been to a stand up comedy show before. Had a fantastic time, was an interesting atmosphere and the bar was a nice touch. 100% would come again.
A. H.
Best comedy club in London. Hands down.
N. S.
Great performance! Cheap drinks. There were lots of drunk people heckling but the comedians put up with it well.
S. E.
Excellent comedy club - we paid £3 and got to see Reginald D Hunter, Sean Walsh and Romesh! Had no idea who we were going to see beforehand either. Great club and feels very Covid secure at the moment.
S. B.
Great little venue, great atmosphere and so cheap. Fantastic hour or so of comedy all for a fiver! Will definitely be going here again!
L. J.
Went there for free comedy at the earliest timing. The comedian is new and needs training therefore it is free.
The place is very small, so do come early to get your preferred seat.
At the end of the show, you will be asked to give tips to the comedian based on what you think he deserve.
J. P.
Perfect night out, top quality acts for low prices
M.
We had booked in at The top secret comedy club with no idea of who our acts would be, we were left more than pleased when suprised with Jamali Maddix, top calibre comedy.
A. L.
Decent comedy made me giggle a few times the cheap drinks certainly helped a lot too xD
K.
Really good evening out and saw some great comedians all for £5! Highly recommend for a cheap and cheerful laugh in London.
C. M.
Amazing atmosphere. I love how the club is making it accessible and open to students by taking no entrance fee for students (depending on the acts).
S. B.
Great venue for a comedy club. Top performs who engage with the public. Also Thursday is one of the best days to come and meet some of the best performers. Prices are definitely not expensive!
S. T.
So funny and a very cosy vibe. Went on New Material night and most of the comedians were very funny.
I. C.
Loved the talented comedians!!
My favourite one was Robert White & Loyiso Gola

Great Saturday night Zoom gig guys. Really enjoyed it. Trying circumstances but well executed by all the comedians. Can't wait to get back to the club when you open. Adam and Vic, Manchester
A. J.
I had an amazing night here. The place was full of nice people. The comedians did a very good show as well.
I will come back soon 👌
Ps.: great place for a date (not boring one) 😅👍 go for it
-.
Great night, great Mc called Mark. The highlight for us a comedian called Rob White- absolutely hilarious
A. L.
Best comedy club in the UK. And even when forced to do their shows via zoom, they absolutely nailed it. Awesome acts, awesome club. Please do yourselves a favour and book tickets.
K. S.
Daniel Spaulding was amazing! Great venue too. Very intimate.
A. B.
Amazing experience at top secret comedy club on Friday night. Great atmosphere, cheap drinks and funny acts. Will return and recommend to others.
K.
Busy & packed event but a great night, two very funny comedians as well as the person doing the introductions.
C. H.
Fab night out
Big shout out to Brian the barman!
I had a problem with my order and Brian was so helpful getting it sorted out- he could have easily said it wasn’t his job to help sort the admin issue - but he did and his can do attitude really made my evening. I’m now a fully fledged member!
Thanks Brian

Great experience here. zero regard for covid rules, but lots of fun nevertheless.
K. W.
A very affordable way to spend a Saturday night in London.
For £15 we laughed alongside Ross Noble and 2 guest comedians for two hours. Drinks are also cheap - at £13.50 for a bottle of house red.
Toilets, waiting room and general areas and very dingy and unkempt. But you absolutely get what you pay for and these things can be overlooked when the quality of comedy is high.
s. k.
Was HILARIOUS. I laughed ... a lot . Host was great and toilets were clean :)
S. W.
Brilliant. Amazing value for such a variety of comedians. Fun night!
C. P.
We went to see a weekend evening show. The comedians were ok, maybe not quite to my taste, but others seemed to enjoy them a lot.
The covid measures in place were a bit loose. The rows have deviders between them and signs up for masks to be worn, but they serve drinks to the seats which means that hardly anyone wears a mask. The bar gets crowded and people again don't wear a mask. At the end, going up the stairs was quite uncomfortable, with a lot of rowdy unmasked people pushing in. I understand it's hard to impose measures, but it did feel like the kind of people visiting the venue weren't inclined to respect the rules.
j. L.
One of the best in town. Spend amazing evening here with my better half. Can say that there were some decent comedians, also one of the best things is that drinks are not expensive considering thats in central London. Will definitely go there again. Would recomend!
T. B.
We've recently discovered the Secret Comedy Club's online zoom sessions, and have found them to be thoroughly enjoyable. At first we thought it would be strange being on a zoom call with strangers, but it's actually a real laugh, and the comedians are hilarious. Perfect way to spend the never ending lockdown.
J. G. C.
Great comedic talent in a lively and friendly atmosphere (+ well priced drinks!)
T. J.
Top Secret Comedy Club was jokes. Had a great time. Drinks delivered to your seat what more could you ask for. Can't wait to come back for another show.
H. B.
Great night, great laughs, recommend it to

Staff are brilliant.
K. P.
I went for the first time tonight and I'm definitely going back again soon.
Some very good comedy, couldn't stop laughing at a point.
Fair ticket prices, student discount option, fair bar prices.
A. M.

V. M.
Small and cramped but the show was great and atmosphere was fantastic
o. g.

Hilarious night, great acts, small crowd everyone loving it
S. S.
Amazing show and so funny and well presented. Would recommend to anyone for a good laugh and so much enjoyment. It’s a great night and was just tooooo funny
e. s.
I have been here so many times now and always had a great night, and have been surprised most times by very famous acts turning up for the mystery guest slots. The compares are just as funny as the booked comedians, the bar is cheap and the tickets are a great price too. Love Top Secret Comedy Club!
M. H.
Such a great experience every time I've been, you should definitely check out Top Secret Comedy Club and discover some new comics!
K. O.
Best comedy club in London without doubt, even better than the Comedy Store.
t. s.
My favourite night out in London, been here numerous times and have never been disapointed. Great atmousphere great acts, really well run. Will be back soon.
S. (.
Great night out, comedians are good! Beverages are very well priced. Take some money with you as you have to donate on your way out
C. G.
Brilliant evening, really enjoyed the great acts. Brilliant location and super cheap drinks. Inclusive and friendly to all
H. Y.
3rd time at this place and I can’t recommend it enough! Better than the movies!!
S. M.
Great show for a great price. Understand the need for safety measures, but the hanging partition screens made it difficult to see much whilst the lights were on..
S. T.
Great little club, some great acts on tonight too. Dealt with some rowdy customers swiftly, very impressed!
Please support live comedy...they’ve had a tough year.
F. N.
Beat place ever so so so funny greats acts great hosts very reasonable such a great place to come to
S. S.
First time at a standup comedy show, definitely will go again!

e. s.
Very nice atmosphere but very dirty glasses at the bar, should invest in new glasses as is a very central spot in Central London....after this Pandemic nobody want to drink in dirty glasses
E. P.
Lovely comedy, cheap beer and laughing all night
K. V.
quality night, really funny, love the reburb
N.
Great cos it’s free and the host is fantastic. Unfortunately the staff member at the bar left a lot to be desired. They have QR codes to order drinks from your seat, however there’s no phone signal down there so you have to connect to their WiFi. Which also doesn’t work. So we had to go to the bar, where the guy was quite rude. Despite people queuing for drinks as obviously the WiFi didn’t work he insisted people connect to the WiFi to order and when someone told him it didn’t work ‘right… I’ll take your word for it’ said in the most patronising can’t be arsed voice as if they were lying about it. When your only source of income is money from drinks and voluntary donations, just take the money and stop contesting with your guests about whether your WiFi works.
J. A.
Always a good show. Great compare, great acts
G. D.
Yeah had the greatest time ever. Massive kudos to the owner and all the acts. Absolutely hilarious start to finish can’t recommend enough
R. M. F.
Had a great evening. Quality comedy and good drinks! Seats separated through plastic panels, drinks ordered through an app and brought to you. Felt safe and happy that I can still enjoy a show in these times.
A. R.
Amazing little place. A proper gem.
Had never been to a comedy club and went with some friends to see Jack Whitehall here a few years ago, such a great experience! Intimate club with a lovely atmosphere, a place that has to be kept open!!
T. C.
One of my favourite nights out. Amazing acts, £3.40 pints and a bargain entry fee.
I. J.
This was my first ever comedy club experience and I loved it - I will absolutely be coming back!
We were able to book last minute on-the-day tickets and got great seats (I'd recommend getting there about 15 minutes early to get good seats as it packs out!).
The comedians were varied in terms of content and all of which provided many laughs. Liked that they engaged with the audience too.
The drinks were really cheap, which is an added bonus!
Loved it here and will definitely be coming back.
O. L.
Class man. Host was great, acts were great, cheap drinks, great atmosphere. Simon amstell even turned up to perform. Will be back
A. G.
Wow, as a conisssieure of comedy - I was blown away. I was at the top secret comedy club near Holborn, and I had my socks and my diaphragm blown across the room. I laughed, chuckled AMD guffawed. Jesus. Hold tight. It's liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Come down and you know. Hold tight x
K.
I have been going here for almost 2 years, between 20 - 30 times & there hasn’t been a single time I’ve gone to a show and not laughed. Don’t get me wrong there might be a few unfunny jokes or comedians however you’re bound to get a good laugh. From the seriously cheap shows to the expensive ones (still cheap), the big names to the unknown, cheap drinks, kind staff, no longer sh*tty toilets and finally the Owner Mark... Top Secret Comedy Club is without a doubt the best place to be in London! Literally my favourite place for a night out. Have recently visited 03/10/20 and that was a blast!! Will be looking to go again very soon!!!
C. B.
We have been to the club a couple of times in person and always had a great time. Just took part in one of the zoom night show which was one of the strangest and most enjoyable things I have done through covid. Shame it took us so long to realise this was on, would have loved to take part this whole time!
R.
I had my first ever comedy club experience at the Top Secret Comedy Club on a Wednesday night. The night seriously exceeded my expectations; great seats at the second row, very cheap drinks and non-stop laughter! For the student price of only 6£ we enjoyed over 5 comedians throughout the night. The seats are quite close which may result in some knees against your back and drink spillages, but regardless of this we had an overall amazing time!
J. R.
Awesome venue, seriously funny comedians. The host brought home the bacon!
S. M.
Brilliant night here last night the comedians were brilliant and the MC! X
S.
Great night 10/10 can't fault it not for £1 entry ridiculously cheap.
S. F. (.
Top quality night, comedians were far behind what I expected. Recommend to everyone. Please book.
N. M.
Absolutely great night. Great priced drinks, comedy is fantastic and the staff were great! 100% recommend.
G. E.
I've had some really funny nights here seeing comedians I hadn't heard of before. It's a cool atmosphere and the drinks are cheap as well.
I also really appreciate the COVID safety measures. Perspex walls in between rows, encouragement to wear a mask, and having Reginald D Hunter as their surprise guest to stop the audience from laughing and therefore reducing the spread of the virus.
W. D.
Great venue had an amazing time, Jeff innocent is superb and Tom bailey is a new favourite. Massive shout out to shaun
G. J.
On a Wednesday, good quality comedians working on new material. The compere is the only thing I'd change. He seems very nervous and struggles to hype up the crowd for the acts.
G. C.
So fun im definitely gonna be a regular
D. Q.
Absolutely hilarious. Drinks are reasonably priced. Toilets are brand new.
J. E. D.
Best night out you could possibly ask for. I come here with my partner all the time and each time is as brilliant as the last. The photo below speaks for itself!
S. W.
Great venue, excellent shows with reasonable prices and the staff are great too.
H.
Absolutely an amazing night out. Well worth £5 the first comedian whos name i forgot and Sean Walsh were so funny and had me in stitches. I will definately return again and recommend The Top Secret Comedy Club to everyone i know. Best place to go in London for an excellent laugh. PS the toilets are lovely and new xx
D. T.
Such a nice experience! Amazing comedian's!
r. b.
Great atmosphere, the warm up guy was hilarious. Xx
A. J.
Great comedy, saw Rob white and Ian stone, both hilarious and had a great evening, couldn't recommend more!
C. K.
Luke Toulson was great! Recommend it!
P. D.
We attended the show last night and wanted to say how fantastic the night was. We’ve been coming to TSCC for almost 11 years and love it.
I’d also like to say how helpful two of the workers were towards the end of the night. We sat front row directly right of the stage and I had lost my water bottle so one of the men gave me a new one from behind the bar and was very friendly. The COVID measures were also good and we felt safe whilst at the venue. Will 100% be coming back as soon as it’s opened again!
M. W.
Always fun and good comedy night. The two occasions I went I was with work and one of the surprise acts was Romesh Ranganathan...I mean, you can't ask for more than that.
E. P.
Best comedy club in London! Great night out.
D. P.
6 comedians for £3 and all gave a good set
P. F.
One of the best comedy nights I’ve ever been to. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
K. K.
This was a great location for a comedy show! My BF and I went on holiday to London and we spur of the moment booked last minute tickets. We were so happy to see the first comedian be Jack Whitehall! The whole room was roaring and so fun! The host was great and interacted with the crowd and there were a total of 5 comedians. You cannot beat the price and even the drinks at the bar was budget friendly! Greatest night on our holiday was spent here! Definitely go :)
K. B.
Comedy was fab. Drinks a bit weak? Good fun night out
H. A.
Hilarious night guaranteed! All the comedians are brill at reading the room and the drinks are super cheap, 10/10 recommend.
J. E.
Didn't plan the trip, very last min. Fantastic performances by all. I will attend next time I visit London. Highly recommend! And if you don't like the comedy, you will save enough on beer to make up for it...but I doubt that will happen as everyone is hilarious
C. M.
My husband and I enjoyed a great night of laughs here. It was completely free, but we paid a “gratuity” at the end of the show. Be sure to pop in if you have an hour or two to spare. The place is small and a bit tight, so you should definitely book online. Also, get your drinks early, since they shut down the bar part way through the show.
J. H.
A friend recommended this place so we jumped on the zoom call, wasn't sure what to expect, but it was so funny! A wonderful way to spend some time, laughed out loud in my home office over and over. Would absolutely do it again and hope to enjoy in person someday.
l. w.
Amazing comedians but premises could do with a glow up
R. T.
The best place I have ever visited in London. Very funny comedians, very friendly staff. You will never regret visiting. Lots of love ❣
A. M.
Absolutely brilliant - if you’ve not been here you need to go, prepare to be spiritually enlightened
M. E.
An great place to start a night out. Always excellent acts and a cozy unpretentious venue. Good value drinks on offer all night.
D. H.
I've been to this club three times in the past week. Two seats left between groups, additional perspex has been added in recent days, people are regularly told to wear masks at the bar, going to the bathroom - anytime you are out of your seat. It would be so easy to give up with the current restrictions but they need to be applauded for doing everything they can to make it an acceptable environment in order to provide live entertainment. Not only that - they have had top quality comedians in the past few days. Do I like sitting with perspex between me and the stage and putting a mask on to go to the bar? Of course not - but it is a minor incomvenience. Appreciate what they are doing.
E. _.
Two top acts. Place is well run and good price
J. G.
Always have a great time here. Quality acts, intimate venue and decently priced bar.
J. S.
Top Secret is brilliant in real life and in COVID times via the power of Zoom - which must be a tricky thing to sort out and make work in the free form comedy flow - it keeps the spirit that makes Top Secret so brilliant alive and well. We’ll be back live when you’re back live, but for now keep up the Virtual Top Secret Comedy Club!
It’s a definite 5 and you gotta check ‘em out - virtual now and for real in a few weeks!!
K. F.
Thank you so much for a great evening, first time being back here in years! Mark was a great host as always and the acts David and Nabil were amazing!!
J. J.
great show by Robyn Perkins and a pint for £3.80, amazing
L. s.
Love this place , descent comedy and fair ticket prices
C. S.
I’ve been to The Top Secret Comesy Club a few times and have never been disappointed. Anytime I’ve been there, from midweek to Saturday evenings it’s always been top quality.
They have taken steps to keep the audience safe within the Covid era with Perspex glass between the rows and gaps in seatings. Masks are to be worn at intermissions and walking around, apart from that it’s business as normal.
Drinks are amongst the cheapest in London and they now have “table service” where you order drinks to your seats using a QR code. They come fast!
The acts themselves, my goodness.... I spent two hours cry-laughing without a break. Being a large, bearded ginger man with an Afro, the usher thought it would be a good idea to put me front and centre. Where I got the piss ripped completely out of me, it was all tasteful, unique and utterly hilarious. The humour is dark, topical, progressive and did I say DARK?! Strap in and enjoy. Helps to remember that they are all jokes, if you lean towards the sensitive side.
The best nights I have in London are always the ones I spend in Top Secret and I don’t know why I don’t go more often!!! 10/10
P. W.
Had a great ad-hoc night here, very funny comedians and I can't believe how cheap the bar we in central London!
L. S.
Very happy this is back up and open post-lock down! Such a good night. Very good value for money - have caught many great comedians here over the years (including some faces from TV). A must-visit whilst in London.
S. S.
The most fun evening ever - an absolutely amazing night out, not to be missed! (Don’t sit in the front row though!!)
M. D.
Hilarious show, been there before, loved it, would recommend, would go again. Keep em coming!
J.
Laughter all round and great genuine care when it came to social distancing and wearing masks when walking around the venue for safety. The guidances weren’t so pushed in your face that you became worried though which was nice because it meant me and my family could enjoy the night. Highly recommend 👍🏽
V.
Best place to come to see the comedians with out the over priced tickets.... I am here every week 😂
M. S.
Superb evening, got Loyiso Gola, one of my favourite comedians! The MC was hilarious, borderline awkward jokes but that’s what we love!
G. B.
Great event and very funny. Loved our evening there
M. T.
What an incredible night out in London. Live comedy has taken a hit with Covid restrictions, but Top Secret Comedy Club are on top of it and ensuring that you can enjoy both safe and side-splitting comedy (admittedly a contradiction...) We didn’t previously know either comedian at the early show but that made it even more rewarding when the quality was so high.
C. H.
Really fun night out and perfect for date night. The duration was shorter than expected but we laughed from start to finish and the ticket price was so much more reasonable than some of the bigger places. The only complaint was that the seating was very snug, so be prepared to get cosy with your neighbour, and get there early otherwise you'll be left standing in the aisles!
L. H.
Everything a comedy club should be. Brilliant acts, great value, the best post lockdown tonic!
J. H.
Good vibe... Cheap booze (for London)
Bit odd and cramped screens.. For covid.
Don't suppose much they can do about that. Still a good night had & recommended :-)
a. h.
I visited this place for a roast battle. Concept was nice, topics included as excepted so geopolitical issues like brexit(ofcourse). Place is big, accommodates arrow 100 people.
A. E.
Couldn't be more happy of having found this little gem. The smallish rooms gave a sense of familiarity and connection with the artist and public that is often lost in bigger venues.
The artists themselves were so funny I kept on laughing even during breaks.
At the moment the venue is altered to be covid safe, a different and unique experience that I will happily recall when covid is over.
i.
Outstanding! This is one of the best things I did in my life! We laughed so hard. Amazing comedians and great cheap drinks.
Perfect!
B. S.
Cannot beat this place on a Thursday night. Packed out and hilarious comedy
F. P.
Had such a lovely evening here, would recommend!
F. H.
Top banter! Would definitely recommend for a fun evening.
C. S.
Top secret comedy club was splendidly perfect. Ticket prices are cheap, but they ask you if you would like to pay more as you leave. They are not insistent, or rude, thankfully.
Comedians were great, although some were better if you were local, you were more likely to get the joke. But it still worked overall and was really fun.
V. C.
Didn't know what to expect but after seeing so many good reviews I thought I'd give it a go and was not disappointed! Affordable tickets and drinks for central. Venue is small and basic, but considering the price for the tickets it didn't bother me. However my boyfriend and I arrived late and the only seats available were at the front which gave the MC ample ammunition for a roasting which had me in stitches. Definitely would go again but aim to arrive on time and sit at the back as not sure I'm brave enough for another roasting!
F. M.
Just great!!! Just the fee to get in is a joke! Only £1!! Beer was also reasonable! And a lot of fun!!! Definitely a different way to spend in London!!
A. S.
Fantastic choice of comedians. A really good night out.
G. S.
Truly amazing night! Had so much fun and such amazing laughs. Really great comedians and the host was very very good! The bar was reasonably priced and had a great selection of drinks.
Seriously recommend to anyone, especially with it being so cheap!
It was a bit warm in there, but you get used to it!
I will defiantly be visiting again!
J. T.
Went for a free comedy show and some drinks with friends. Absolutely hilarious set... the warm up acts and the main act as well. Because the show was free admission, we each tipped the comedians $20. Thanks for the laughs and memories.. cheers!
D. J. M. L.
Very relax and funny show, great comedians and ambiance in general. The general seating worked out good because they opened an extra side area, but I recommend to arrive earlier to grab a good place, they have wines, beers and cocktails. The 4 comedians and the MC were wicked smart with intelligent jokes, far from vulgar and very creative
K. P. S.
Very enjoyable place with a great atmosphere. The rooms only allow for a relatively limited audience size making the shows quite intimate.
L. T.
I love this place! I'm a regular there or was before lockdown landed, so pleased it's back open. You get to see some famous and up and coming amazing acts, up close, with a great view, at great prices too. Save the comedy clubs after the effects of lockdown to get the authentic comedy experience! Lucy
