F. H.We had the pleasure of visiting the Mu Mu: Lounges and cabaret last night for a hen party. It really did not disappoint. The place was packed with parties celebrating. Despite being so very busy, the food was delicious and being the last party served, it was always hot. It was well staffed, well organised and all the staff were friendly and smiling, despite being very busy. Madame Mu Mu was fantastic and very funny and the burlesque dancer was very talented and spurred us all on to get to the gym!!! I would definitely be happy to visit again and would highly recommend it to anyone! Thankyou for a great evening.

W. F.Where to begin?! MuMu hosted our wedding this year and it was absolute perfection! We were supposed to get married in March 2020, but due to the pandemic we had to cancel just days before. MuMu were amazing, despite everything that happened in the past two years, including them having a devastating fire, they always reassured us that they would honour our booking and make sure everything was just as planned for our big day even two years later.
Whilst we were planning nothing was too much for Ishty the GM. He was always just a call or text away and happily met with us anytime to discuss and organise. Nothing was too much for him and he coped with not one but TWO stressed out brides!
Rob the Head Chef was also brilliant, he met with us twice and created a bespoke vegan menu for our wedding day, He listened to what we wanted and delivered! Everyone commented on how lovely the food was.
On the day our guests wanted for nothing and we were just blown away by the standards that the staff kept. If a knife was dropped it was replaced within seconds, if a glass was empty it was refilled.
The most important and special mention must go to Harvey-Hugo, who went above and beyond in absolutely every aspect for the entire day and night of our wedding. Every time we worried about something he was there fixing the problem and easing our anxieties. His attention to detail was next to none. He ensured everything ran smoothly, everything happened at the right time and everyone was happy. And he did it all with such a charismatic manner that made everyone smile. He really made our day that little bit more special (if that's possible!).
MuMu exceeded our expectations and we HIGHLY recommend this wonderfully beautiful venue and it's highly experienced team for any bespoke event.

A. T.Great atmosphere and all staff were polite and attentive. Couldn't fault the food either. However, we felt let down by the lack of transparency of the 'bottomless drinks'. Only after we had ordered and finished our first drinks were we informed that we had to stick with that drink for the duration. This wasn't what we had in mind and we didn't enjoy our drink after the first couple. This information wasn't shared and we probably wouldn't book again for that reason.

The show was amazing both Madame mumu and the beautiful dancer really put on quite the show... looking forward for a special occasion to visit Ince again... or maybe just any excuse to go back. D. C.A restaurant like no other in Kent. Swing your pants as you enter the dimly lit stage show atmosphere that is Mu Mu’s restaurant. It feels like a piece of the New Orlean’s American pie.
Speaking to its lovely, professional staff, they mention to me that the owner worked for the Rolling Stones as a stage director. How cool is that?
Aside from its artistic, French-inspired decor and early 20th century swing music, the food is "simply amazing". Exciting, well presented and served well dressed; please come with a large appetite, the food portions are gargantuan. The out-of-the-oven small sourdough loaf is the best tasting bread this side of the channel tunnel.
Food is served at a relaxed easy, pace. So please bring your slippers, a lorgnette and an appetite.

The owner came over to chat and explained they only use locally sourced ingredients and it was noticeable. So glad I came here and would highly recommend!

m. l.I attended a dinner last night at Mu Mu, five adults and three children were present at our table. The meal was delicious, the staff were so attentive and the decor very interesting. The highlight of the evening though, was when sorbet was requested as a desert for the three boys, the Manager explained they didnt have any and suggested Haribos. The boys were thrilled to say the least.
A short time later the Manager appeared with three dishes, each containing two Haribo ice lollies and several Haribo sweets. The boys were ecstatic and we were so very impressed with the thoughtfulness and quick thinking of the Manager.
Well worth a visit again,

We had mushrooms and a beef starter, followed by mussels and three way pork.
The food was well cooked and presented well. The meat was very tender.
The waitress that served us was very helpful and tended to all our needs.
The price wasn't too bad. My only small gripe is that the portions were a bit small but that's just me wanting more!

L. M.This was a surprise birthday treat by my girlfriends and my 1st experience of a bottomless brunch. We had booked the 1pm afternoon session with a drag queen dj. We were promptly seated and social distancing guidelines were apparent. Our drinks order was taken and quickly our choices arrived. The prosecco was a good quality but the cocktails were whilst well garnished a little underwhelming. Unfortunately you are not able to change to different drink but we made them drinkable by topping up with prosecco. The preordered food arrived shortly after our drinks and it was good quality and nice and hot. The drag queen dj was brilliant so funny and really worked the room and drummed up a fantastic party atmosphere. The music was brilliant and finally our preordered coctail tree arrived. All in all a fantastic venue, great food and wonderful friendly service. Highly recommended and we will definitely be coming back again

Had to go from the restaurant to the other building housing the bar to get drinks, as there were so many of us a tab wouldn't have worked. None drinkers, and serious drinkers don't work and is unfair.
We had set lunch Christmas menu, 3 courses for £25. I had prawn cocktail, lovely but couldn't have done with some bread. Mains, turkey dinner, again good but lukewarm. Dessert, a chocolate bomb, fabulous.
Reasonably priced white wine, raspberry daciquis wonderful.

One can really sing and the other is a natural dancer. It's all good light hearted fun and is a must see. I'll give it 10 out of 10. Food is tasty and worth the money. The staff make it though and deserve all the credit, from the waitresses and bar staff to the acts themselves, all are quality. GO, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Only thing I’d suggest is not to book later in the evening as the restaurant became another bar and became uncomfortable as you’re trying to eat but there are groups of young girls screaming and shouting. Drinks are reasonably priced, with bottles of good house wine below £20 and jugs of water provided. And the show and disco were both brill.

The decor is interesting and maybe the ala carte menu meets that same standard but the lunch menu wrap was average, the sourdough and flavoured butters we had to start was great though. Service - everyone was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Food service was fab, but drinks were a little slow thought thankfully they brought them over to tables when there were delays.
Decor - not to everyone's personal taste, but I like the boudoir/rococo look. It also smelled perfumed. The Rocky Horror touches were also appreciated. Tip top.
Atmosphere - The entertainers were professional and great at what they did, especially given the limited space they had to work with.
Food was delicious and well presented, cocktails were yummy and well made. I would highly recommend it.
D. V.This is a very cool club. It was my first visit and I was blown away by the decor. Mu Mu has several dance floors and many rooms to keep it interesting. I noticed that there is an outside aspect to it as well, but it was a cold night so we stayed indoors! The dance floors play different music and it seems to effectively split the crowd by age. There are a number of bars dotted around the place so getting a drink was quite easy. It was quieter than I expected for a Friday night but maybe people don't go clubbing as much in winter.

The only down side was the lack of parking, we had to walk over in the rain which wasnt great, I would suggest finding a close car park before hand if travelling by car.
s. s.Mumu is a great evening bar to go to although it is very small especially the dance floor and the drinks are a little pricey. They do a lot during the day too. We went to the retro cinema on a Sunday and loved it. We got a burger and drink during the film as well as popcorn and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

At the bar i was made to feel bad that they had to make it and was pushed to have one of the 2 for 1’s instead which i thought was rude. J. E.Only visited for Sunday lunch before, first time for the cabaret night. Firstly staff were great; attentive and friendly. Food was very good, presented well and was hot and tasty. Cabaret was excellent. I thought it would be over in 20 minutes but it just kept coming! Madame mumu was something else. I think some of the men were a bit scared. The singer and the burlesque performer had the men's eyes out on stalks, actually so were mine! My only criticism was the after disco. There's no dj which is fine but there was a gap between each track and Madame mumu got a bit self indulgent as the night went on and the crowd thinned out considerably. I think they need to get their resident dj to make up some play lists as we would have stayed later if we had wanted to dance. All in all excellent value for money for the dinner & cabaret.

S. W.We went to the Soul and Motown cabaret last night and must say were pleasantly surprised at such a great entertainment venue in Maidstone. I was born there but always felt I had escape to London to have fun so it was nice to come back and find that at last someone has realised what has been lacking in the town and done something about it.
Mu Mu's is well set out keeping the noisy two clubs away from the restaurant and the Cabaret venue upstairs. The doormen seem to have the entrance under control and we were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us where to go and then by Madame Mu Mu who is the hostess for the night. She entertained us with her close to the knuckle comedy act and then took over as DJ in the small bar set to the side of the room where we ate.
The musician was extremely good and covered Satchmo, George Benson, Stevie Wonder and Alexander O'Neal to name a few and did very believable take offs of these legends. The fact that he could play the trumpet and guitar extremely well was a bonus As for the food, it was not only well presented but well tasty!! After the meal and the cabaret we were free to wander from bar to bar or club to club until the early hours all for free. At £40 a head it was a well spent enjoyable evening.......Going to try the Burlesque evening next time.....
