A. B.I use too go to dark and dinjey gig venues in the 80's it was like travelling back in time,if someone is tall and stand right infront it's difficult it was difficult to see the artist you paid your money to see but it was still good to see artists close up
P. J.Came to Manchester to see the Beths. When that was cancelled at short notice I met up with a mate and his wife to see their daughter in the band "Brand New Legs" at Night People. Lovely, smart venue with a great vibe. Bar well positioned on one side and a handy step up down the left hand side for the vertically challenged! Reminded me of the sugar mill in Hanley minus the sticky floor!

O.Long gone are the glory days of Poptastic, its now a decent live music venue which has 2 rooms with stages. Not terrible prices either
G. T.Nice, intimate venue. This place used to be a fetish dungeon, but you wouldn't know it now. It could have more character if they played on the venue's past a bit more. Seems like they want to cut all ties and associations to its history and the village right next door, which is a bit sad really.
J. N.Haven't been to this club since it was the Mutz Nutz a good few years back. Bar prices were good, £1 per item for the cloakroom and the bar staff were very helpful (serving quickly, restocking the toilet roll in the ladies and helping escort a trouble maker out of the club late in the night). Smoke machine is perhaps a little too much on the heavy side for a small club but the sound system was great. There is adequate seating and a hand stamp system so smokers can get in/out without any problems.

S. B.Nice little venue. I'm not sure if the bloke behind the bar was doing a bit of fancy dress or if he does consciously walk around looking like Liam Gallagher's love child. Anyway, I enjoyed the night, but the organiser has since found a venue that is free and just as well set up and located. They seemed a bit put out when asked to provide stuff that had been paid for and the organiser had to scratch round for a stand as the manager couldn't be bothered to look for theirs.

P. B.When I first walked in I didn’t realise that door to the left opens so I stood there for ages. Once I did get in the drinks were good and reasonably priced. I do recommend the rhubarb cider they have on tap.
The music itself was amazing. I went to see Auger and Sulpher. Although both had technical difficulties I think some were due to the venue - hence why I knocked a star off.
n. b.Great gig. Plastic glasses are a pain and choice of beers fairly poor. Performance space is a bit awkward and a faint smell of sewage.
