My kids and I went for bowling for birthday treat. We enjoyed it. Lovely place, lovely staff. A bit pricey food but I understand why. We had fun actually. I beat my kids though. Lol.

One of my favourite places in Newcastle as there is so much choice of entertainment you can easily spend your whole evening there! We played bowling, mini golf, pool and beer pong. Staff were brilliant, friendly and humorous and offered help when needed. Cocktails are always a plus and I love the grass gold cart outside.
K. M.
Never been before but this place is awesome! Bowling was full but we were offered "Little Pins" as an alternative which was fab, just a mini game of bowling. Still loads of fun. Pool tables are great we played 5 or 6 games within our hour. Food is delicious, we had pizzas. All in all a fab night out for friends or couples. Staff really helpful and friendly Alejandro on reception booked us in and was great.
H. M.
Me and my son love this place especially the lift lol and staff are so kind and helpful to us. Just a shame disabled lanes are in basement as when lift is out of action we sadly can't attend.
I. R.
Good selection of games, clean and professional, great for a big group of lads for some darts and beer pong!

Really relaxed fun atmosphere with lots of choices for activities. We were a party of 12 for bowling and private karaoke room. Wide variety of drinks non alcoholic and alcoholic . I'm a non drinker now and I was happy to have choices.. my friends on other hand throughly enjoyed the wide range of cocktails 🍸. Staff were very friendly and great service. Good choices for food too . Highly recommend a visit 👌.
M. H.
The place is great and we had a really fun night - in particular the beer pong set up was great. The bowling however kept malfunctioning and kept skipping turns/missing second turns. We were on the far right (lane 4) and it seemed like the lane was sloping inwards, however this may have been our incompetency.
A.
A great place for a casual night out. There's a superb range of games: bowling, beer pong, pool, table tennis and arcades, set across three levels. The staff are very helpful and the decor adds to casual, fun atmosphere. 5/5.
A. P.
This place is great, we stumbled across it as it was opposite our hotel and we had a really good night - beer pong, basketball, bowling, food and drinks. As someone else has said, our bowling lane kept malfunctioning, skipping turns etc (lane 1) but we otherwise had a good time. The staff were great when I had to go back as I had left my bank card 🙄
A. A.
Absolute amazing evening. Bowling, darts and food. Staff were brilliant.
Chap behind the counter was excellent, asked for some pound coins via cashback but they couldn't do so gave us some cards so he could play the basketball and arcades. Great service.
Will be back again very soon.

Had such a lovely time here this evening, we travelled from Essex for a break away with the kids, we enjoyed 2 games of bowling and some drinks. Lovely milkshakes for the kids and cocktails for us! The bounty alcoholic milkshake was spot on 👌 staff where so friendly and welcoming. Thanks so much 🙌

I have come here a few times recently while at work supporting a client and I cannot fault the staff at all. Always very helpful.
V. S.
Fun place. Good bowling lanes. Plenty of stuff to do while waiting or if you go for a drink plenty of other things, like beer pong, ping pong, darts, karaoke and lots of arcade machines to keep you entertained.
B. S.
Awesome place. Loads to do, great atmosphere and food was brilliant
m.
no issues with the venue itself - fun bowling experience. only thing was we were kicked off the lanes before our time fully ran out, there were two groups of us starting at the same time and by the time my group were told our time was up the other group was still bowling. fair enough though since there were quite a lot of us there and they probably wanted us gone hahah
J. B.
It's good but the music is far too loud. And the prices are quite steep. Very friendly staff though. The place looks cool too. Turn the music down, or play better music.
R. B.
Excellent place, we played beer pong and pool.
G. M.
The bowling was good fun but it was *far* too hot - we quit after one game, and left. I don't think the aircon vents were working.
D. Y.
Something a bit different for an afternoon out in Newcastle but would have scored higher if it wasnt for the extortionate price for drinks, especially as the staff are slow and look like they would rather be anywhere else.
Also advise to ore book at weekends as it does get busy
L. F.
The food and drinks were good, games were fun and staff were great. Just a shame you had to use games at timed intervals rather than just using it as and when you wanted to.
L. O.
So cool here!! Amazed at the choice of fun activities and pretty cheap prices too - you could literally spend all night here doing a bit of everything. The great thing was the very lively and young atmosphere, there was a DJ playing some great tunes! Will definitely keep this in mind for future group socials
J. D.
Had a really awesome evening here, the atmosphere inside is great. There is lots to do including table tennis, bowling, darts, beer pong and video games. We played table tennis the whole time. If you want to take it seriously I’d recommend the top floor as the tables are more traditional but the basement has some light up tables that were good fun, but a little hard to see what you were doing. It was a bit hot to be playing, especially as we took it very seriously. Great fun, highly recommend.
R. C.
Can't understand the negative reviews. Staff were friendly and really accommodating. Great day had by the whole family. Plus, Kai didn't really win skeet ball as there was a glitch with the scoring. I won! Fact!
L. C.
Everything you need to get a good night started. Bowling, beer pong, karaoke and more. Must for a group of people
M. L. (.
This place has everything. Had a good time there with all the activities. Played ping pong on the orange glow tables which was a fun and vibrant session. It's a little harder to see on the tables than a normal blue one but it's not the end of the world. Paddles were still in really good condition considering the amount of use they must get and all the balls were new and none were broken. Would go back to use the old school arcade machines and to do the bowling. Seems like a good place for all the family or if your pre drinking before going into town.
D. S.
Good Afternoon out with my team from work,
We bowled upstairs and half of us did beer pong which worked well.
Bowling alley was a little temperamental and seemed to slope to one side but it's still made for a good game!
Food is bloody lovely, Burgers, Pizza, Loaded chips and more! 😋
Lots of other things to do... Pool, Arcade games etc.
D. L.
This is an amazing place to hang out with mates. I few of the machines were broken but the drinks were good the bowling was really fun. We definitely go again

Once we got in and sorted there was plenty to do. The reason I have marked it down is to the lack of organisation even though I had booked over a week in advance, confirmed the booking via phone and email and turned up 15 minutes prior to our reservation they still seemed surprised we turned up... There was no direction given by staff on the desk as you walk in the after wondering around looking to find someone to seat us for our food they said they only have space between two larger groups... So we were then presented with the option to eat at the bar, that's great I am perfectly OK with that as there seemed to be more room, so we went to the bar to order and even after radioing over to ask if it was ok for us to order / eat in the bar area they said there will be quite a wait for your food if you order it here. As I said before there is still plenty to do which is great but they need to work on organisation when it is busy and people have reservations.
E. M.
Bowling was fun, food was good & staff member on the bar with the moustache was lovely. However, not one member of staff was wearing a mask. There weren't any unisex toilets, only male or female, which was uncomfortable for the non binary members of our group. One staff member in particular was pretty rude, male with light hair and glasses. I understand working at this time of year is stressful but I work in a customer facing role and you've just gotta smile through it.
R. C.
Kind of good, like the mini golf a lot.
Better book the place beforehand.
G. B.
Loads of fun, but right now, if you want to go with the family (children), go as early as possible. As with all places it doesn't take long to fill up.
Staff have been great every time we've been and the scran is good too.
Z.
Lane 7 just oozes style and charm, with it's retro American aesthetic. There's a variety of activites, namely bowling, mini golf, and pool tables. All are stylish, crisp, and pretty inexpensive, although your bowling rounds are over a bit quickly if there's not too many of you!
I recommend going for a party or a day out with a bunch of family or friends, very worth the money!
s.
Lovely staff and great bowling alley. Felt a tad claustrophobic to play with lots of other people around tho
A. N.
Nice place and good selection of drinks all at an ok price. Unfortunately they weren't very accommodating when we first came in despite having a table booked we weren't looked after very well and got close to leaving. Our table choices were on the end of a very rowdy group or at the bar. We decided on the bar only to be told we couldn't eat there by someone else. At this point we got annoyed and when we managed to ask someone else (I guess the manager) we were served food at the bar. Good for a few drinks and bowling but not sure I would go for food again!
S. H.
Great, quick bowling. Fixed any problems quickly. A bit hot inside and drinks could be cheaper
P. T.
Bowling lanes narrow (difficult for beginners and using the child adaptor) as even a slight curve ends up in the gutter and limited ball choice. Food nice and well priced but restaurant area not separated from bowling alley so very loud for conversation. Was told we would be able to play mini golf without booking but when we arrived it was not available. Drinks very pricey especially soft drinks.
A. L.
Generic bowling alley with pool and a bar.
Overall I think this place is way overpriced for what they are offering.
M. C.
Great looking place, felt very trendy and a bit more grown up for a bowling alley. Would recommend going later in the day though, we went at lunchtime and the place was pretty much dead.
Menu is varied, and staff were happy to swap out things we didn't want in the burgers for other toppings. Bar was well stocked, and rum drinkers would be pleased with the selection.
Perfect evening entertainment - but not a lunchtime stop off.
A.
A Brilliant place, they have lots of things to do,bowling, darts, ping pong, karaoke,Me and my daughter loved it,the staff are friendly especially the manager and the doorman aswell,we can't wait to visit again
C. I.
Adults and kids all had a brilliant time here today bowling, really near our hotel so great for us, thinking to come back tomorrow to try the mini golf. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Will definitly be back the next time we are in Newcastle
A. D.
Went here for pool and bowling on a week night. Wasn't too busy but we still had to book our lane time. Beer selection is good but the IPA I had from the upstairs bar tasted a lot better than the one from downstairs. Have had the food here before and it's good value.
C. R.
A great Boutique bowling alley with mini golf. I've never been to anywhere like this so I can't compare, but I really enjoyed the experience and the staff are friendly and accommodating. It had a good selection of beers and wine.
S. F.
Great place we have been going on a Sunday afternoon now for a family game of bowling a d sometimes have a game of tables tennis after all of the staff are super helpful would definitely recommend
M. T.
Great venue with amazing selection of drinks and extremely friendly staff, just a shame the pins on the bowling allys are on wires.
N. H.
We were a group of 4 and played some 10 pins, pool and Table tennis. The place is awesome and would go back again. Unfortunately there was a run in with an employee who wasn't very polite when we questioned a booking. Otherwise everyone else was helpful and friendly. It would have been 5 star but, I just can't do it. Maybe on my next visit the faith can be restored.
L. I.
Nice place, good atmosphere. Few members of the stuff not so friendly or happy to work there. Maybe was a bad day. Still we had good time playing pool and tennis table
K. M.
Fantastic value for money on activities, food was great drinks were absolutely belter, price for cocktails maybes a couple £ too much but still a fantastic night out. Would definitely go again and recommend to all that are over 18 that live in the area. Staff were great too.
J. B.
Great place to go instead of a pub to socialize.
This place has amazing vibes and even better food. I ordered sweet potato fries and I think they were the best fries I have ever had in my entire life.
It does cost to use the facilities however the prices are reasonable for the experience you get.
Drinks were nice and there was a wide selection too
c. t. m.
Great fun & a laugh to have with family or friends drinks where nice and a good price too
J. W.
Absolutely brilliant night, well organised. Food was lovely. Definitely recommend this place
M. Y.
Good crack , nice atmosphere and trendy place .
Well worth a visit
C. B.
We were here a couple years ago for the last Rugby World Cup as Lane7 turned into the temporary 'Scotland House' and it was absolutely brilliant. The food was great, amazing priced beers, really well organised, got a couple games of bowling in before the match too which made for an insane day.
Highly recommend going and make sure to get the chips as they were addictive.
A. L.
Really good atmosphere...and the food was really nice. Worth a visit.
A. R.
The bowling here is great and is much classier than most bowling alleys, but the prices very much reflect that.
J. P. E.
Great place for bowling and organising large events!
A. M.
Plenty of drinks options and loads to do, karaoke was good craic.
C. P.
Plenty to do, decent prices to say it's in a city. If going with children make sure you go as early as possible as it is more adult and student orientated
C. T.
Fantastic place. Went for a quick bowling session with a friend. Lovely staff more than happy to help when we were having trouble with our lane. Highly recommended.
R. C.
Great little place and much better than the normal large bowling alleys. Food was nice, kids had a great time and was well worth the visit.
b.
Would have given it 5 stars if not for a one particular staff member (short guy, light hair, wears glasses) who was extremely rude. He had no sense of customer service what so ever. I have witnessed this on 2 occasions in the same week.
Today we went for a friends birthday and wanted to play pool. There was one free table and my husband went to pay for it. We were on there for 15mins before the light switched off, the extremely rude guy came and abruptly stopped our game and told us we we had been there for an hour. We tried to explain that we had just paid for the game and had a bank transaction to prove it as we didn't get reciept. He constantly kept cutting us off statting that's not what his books said. We went to the till as the guy who served us was still there however the guy was just overly rude and stated "I'm not having this conversation with you pet" we had witnesses to support that we had only been on the table for 15mins and the fact that we were given the white ball for the only vacant pool table which he completely disregarded. I had to ask for the manager as iv never seen such poor customer service ever in my life. Thankfully, the manager resolved the issue and we were able to play our hours game and went to the correct table to inform them they're time was up. Honestly the disrespect this guy had was absurd and he had no curtesy of even knowing how to communicate appropriately, knowing the error was on their side. People like that should not be working in customer service at all. The rest of the party also, complained of how rude he was which is sad really. The rest of the other staff were lovely and helpful, so i can't really fault anyone else, but they honestly need to check their member of staff he needs to learn respect and how to talk to people.
d. c.
Amazing night with friends! Perfect environment for a great night out!
J.
Loud but nice selection of food and milkshakes, reasonably priced so I'm good
C.
This was surprisingly good. Good tunes, bowling, arcade and beer pong. It’s a good starting point with great food.
Top Tip.
I would not recommend trying to walk to Lane 7 from the centre of town.
A. G.
Erin sucks at bowling and pool but she has thrashed me at air hockey #icedout #ontherocks 🥶🥶🥶
C. C.
Lovely evening and now I'm old the music I like is back 'in', im retro
O. M.
Very good and entertainment a bit pricey but it's good.
m. h.
My children took me her for father's day this year. I'd driven by the building many times, but always thought that it would not be my kind of place. How surprised was I when it had a very laid back feel, great bowling, fab drinks and a ball room . ( The Gents Facilities) Haa, haaaa! The food menu is limited ( pizza, chicken, burgers and fries) . We had between us chicken strips, cheesy fries, skin on fries and halloumi stack burgers. Everyone loved it. We are definitely going to take my relatives here, when they visit. Totally cool. ❤👍😎
S. B.
Great 1st time there excellent for what we paid for. Staff great n helpful 👍 thanks 😁
M. A. L.
Great, fun place to spend a night out bowling, golfing, beer ponging. This is a hidden gem in Newcastle
C. B.
Fun night out from 10 pin bowling to darts good atmosphere
A. C.
Paid for two games..no problems. You have to change to bowling shoes to play, so make sure you have socks on. Although you can get slip ons if you need for a £5. Beers etc.
A. C.
Good variety of games (bowling, pool, ping pong, beer pong, basket, mini golf...), distinct bar areas but the price it's a bit expensive
P. T.
Very nice place, only bowled
J.
Great food, good beers, and plenty of entertainment. As well as bowling, also offers American pool, table tennis, and a racetrack for radio controlled cars. Lovely bowling shoes as well.
P. R.
Great concept having so much under one roof. Tad pricey and really in need of some air con. Felt like I was playing pool in the rainforest this afternoon. It is ultimately a lot of fun though.
T. W.
Booking was fine, very helpful, clean and loads of fun
G. D. B.
Good fun with lots of games options. Food and cocktails were great as well!
P. B.
Fun place to goto. I used the bowling alley and the pool table. As we went on a weekend had to wait so suggest that you book ahead.
J. E.
Great place! Would reccend to all
J. S.
Friendly staff and great atmosphere, will definitely visit again
J. G.
Just went for food, food was delicious and great service
K. C.
Very trendy spot but the price of the bowling is a bit too high. Our lane crashed twice while we were bowling and it took some time to fix but otherwise we had fun as we love bowling. Drinks are fairly standard and we have done the golf down stairs as well which isn't great. If you are in town and like bowling then it's the place to go.
D. O.
Went for a stag do... Nice, bubbly environment and great food... Only downside was our bowling session was delayed for over 30 minutes due to some poor admin work, and I had to leave without.
i. K.
Very nice city centre bowling alley. It is not only bowling, you can also play pool, table tennis and some video games. Staff are all very helpful. Bar has plenty drafts and wines. Prices are reasonable. The only problem is the "House of the dead" game in upstairs. Left controller is not working. And this place deserves better and newer video games.
D. B.
Visited recently to play bowling and try out the crazy golf! The bowling was ok, I found that because the pins seem to be on a wire rather than getting stacked by a traditional machine the pins don't always topple as easy and it takes a while to set them up to take your next go. The crazy golf was compact and didn't include any automation such as moving objects etc.
All in all the venue is modern, a good drinks selection but on the more expensive side.
An enjoyable experience but not overwhelming. The staff were all friendly and attentive.
R. G.
Bartender didn't measure drinks, very good
A. G.
Good for a group.. But the time allocated for a game is lesser than you would expect at other similar places..
B. P.
Definately need to book. Great atmosphere. Not really suitable for kids but good for an adult night out.
N.
This is a really fun place with lots to enjoy. It's not just a bowling alley; it has crazy golf, pool, ping pong, beer pong, pinball, and even a karaoke room! The company I work for hired out the entire venue for our summer party and it was great - the karaoke room was a particular highlight, though it does get extremely warm in there as the night goes on. Only two drawbacks for me, first is that the beer is expensive, don't expect any change from £5 for a pint, and there is no way of enjoying your drinks outside. Even those wanting to smoke need to leave their drinks on a table by the door. Overall however I'd highly recommend this place as a way to spend a few fun hours with friends, the more the merrier!
B. P.
Good night of bowling, always good fun.
G. C.
Fun concept but really quite overpriced for what it is. A round of bowling for 4 people was £36 and to play any arcade games, pool or beer pong you have to pay more money. Food was ok and the most reasonably priced of the whole experience. Novel and fun to see but definitely more expensive than I would have expected
N. S.
It was a really fun experience, went to the place with my ultimate frisbee soc and everyone had a blast!!
A. W.
Good fun. Only Downside was when we went for food after our bowling it was 2 minutes after 7 which we were not told about even though speaking to the girl who took payment for our games. We were told if we had a table at 1 minute to 7 it was OK. My nephew who was going tobe 18 the following week was the reason. I understand there's a cut off time. Otherwise a good night.
A. V.
The bowling was great fun and the drinks choice good, friendly staff. Food was very average - veggie burger and chips all came out the freezer. Would definitely come back for the bowling - good for small kids in the day as they have small shoes and ball ramps etc.
J. I.
This place is a lot smaller than star city in Birmingham, it was rowdy and overcrowded. There was 8 of us, ordered pizzas which were just about edible but the sweet fries were nice. After the meal we decided to play golf which was underground in a secret location. Overall the place isn't too bad but they need to look at the menu and add more variety.
N. H.
Has a bit of everything, great place
P. M.
A quick game for two. Pre-booked online with a deposit of £14.
3pm on a bank holiday Sunday, so it was relatively quiet, but busy enough to not feel empty.
We arrived a little early and enjoyed a pint in the bar, before getting our shoes and being shown to our lane. We took our pints through with us.
Lane one is great, as it's right at the window so you have the view of St James Boulevard while you play.
A vastly different bowling experience compared to the usual bowling alleys.
I really enjoyed myself and I will return, probably with a larger party. A single game is over quickly when there are just two playing.
I love the simple, trendy 'gym' styling of Lane 7. The bar is welcoming, clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and approachable. The lanes themselves more intimate and cosy than we have come to expect at a bowling alley.
Summary: a great place to visit for casual or even more serious bowling with friends. Recommended.
A. H.
Department night out, started off with a buffet (or, more accurately, a feast) of lovely food, and a variety of activities to entertain us as the evening went on. We were well looked after and the staff were friendly in directing us to each activity, so the evening felt well planned but not forced. The activities are all excellent, and definitely make for a lovely night out.
S. W.
We'll worth a visit was very impressed everything there under one roof and food was lush
D. L.
Brilliant night and great, tasty food. Staff were a little slow at bringing drinks / correct drinks to our table at times but other than the couple of times that happened the staff were brilliant. Me and my group all had a good night eating drinking and playing bowling and mini golf. Would definitely recommend Lane7 Newcastle and any Lane7 for that matter.
S. D.
A little expensive but great environment with lots to do
K. W.
Bowling and scran. The bait was phenomenal actually, much better than expected, fries were the best I've tasted in years and the burgers were fantastic. Would absolutely eat here again. It's a bit noisy so your boyfriend will probably think you're shouting at him but he'll get over it.
L. F.
Lovely building, clean fresh and modern, shoes very comfortable and new, staff very helpful. We had two lanes which each had there own table, so plenty of room to socialise privately. Good choice of food and drinks too. I'm sure too make another appearance here, this was the first time in about 30yr that I have played....loved it!
m.
Great place for bowling, with lots more to do, such as mini golf and pool. The restaurant is also nice and serves tasty burgers and hot dogs, amongst other things. Definitely aimed at adults rather than families, and the bar here is great. Always my first choice for bowling in the city. However, can be quite pricey.
A. L.
Nice bar area didn't try the food not for the serious bowler
O. B.
Great bowling alley with loads more to do on site, great classic arcade games in the entrance and bar area. I would only contend the lanes are a little slim but can't complain.
Very well maintained and a good range of drinks to choose from
M. J.
Really enjoy ed my visits to Thai place. They have decent BBQ type food, there is better in Newcastle but it is half decent and the bowling is close. The bowling is fun for what it is however on two occasions the lanes have stopped working for long periods. This did happen one time in a large group for a birthday and they responded really well and all members of the group received a free drink.
N. C.
Not done the 'boutique' bowling experience before this one and thoroughly enjoyed it. The ambience and noise level are so much nicer with the lanes being separated into small groups. Would definately go again.
D. B.
Brilliant. Ideal for stag and hen
C. S.
Great fun, little money
K. S.
Such a great place! We done everything and had the best time. Had dinner reservations else where but decided to cancel and stay at lane 7 as we were having too much fun. Must go place as a couple or even as a group of friends! Definitely going back! Great idea 💡 thumbs up to the owners!
M. L.
Great place to hang out, and carry on with friends. I can't comment on prices as it was a works party. Lots to have fun with though, the bowling is good, but are reset by wires. The mini golf is a howl after a few, and so is the karaoke, pun intended.
R. W.
Loved the mini golf, what a great experience. Also tried the ping pong which was great. Best part of the trip was the cocktail slushies, which were beautiful! Great venue with plenty to do for a full day. Great for kids or adults!
S. Y.
Loved it. Great night out with friends. Spent 4 hours in there and didn't get bored!
G. T.
Good variety of venues - bar, bowling and restaurant in one place mean you can have a decent night out in one venue. Could do with a cash machine for the arcade machines and a pub quiz machine and process for bowling are a bit steep. Also the mini golf ought to be crazy golf for more LOLs, otherwise a lovely place and would visit again
C. J.
Excellent place for group visits--10 pin bowling, crazy golf and table tennis.
Really nice bar and good choices of drinks. Enjoyed a few pints of Tiny Rebel's 'Dutty'!
Good food with a straightforward menu, mainly burgers and pizzas. Kids menus also.
Good staff helped kept the transition between food and bowling smooth.
Prior booking recommended.
B. D.
I organised my sisters Hen party here at Lane 7 (Newcastle) and had an absolutely AMAZING evening. We went with the 'All Rounder' package, and for any party/group I would highly recommend this. The food (buffet option) provided was fantastic, and there was plenty to go around. The staff were great, kept making sure we were ok, and guided us around to each new activity, whilst having a laugh with us. The drinks were beautiful (albeit pricey) and the bar staff were great, giving us recommendations for drinks to suit what we were looking for. The karaoke booth was really hot, so I was thankful to just be in a skirt and vest top! Beer pong was a great laugh, pool was fun, and bowling was excellent. Overall 10/10, brilliant night, really made the evening, and suited those of the party who were T total. Really couldn't recommend it enough, thanks for an awesome evening.
G.
The best bowling alley. No dark lanes and neon lights, just quality civilised bowling with friends. Food is burgers or pizzas. My burger was decent but a bit overpriced and nothing to get too excited about. There is also crazy golf downstairs but not tried that.
C. W.
Great place for drinks and bowling
J. C.
This place is pretty cool. It's a bar, serving decent beer, mixed with a bowling alley, pool tables, a giant remote controlled racing track and a place to eat food. I didn't eat, so I can't comment on the food, apart from the fact that it's RIGHT next to the bowling lanes, so don't expect an intimate meal for two.
I played the racing game with some friends, and it was awesome. You sit in racing seats overlooking the track, and use your steering wheel with pedals to control your little car. You can play with 10 or 12 people - can't remember which. We filled it, and the race was complete carnage. Really nice idea!
R. C.
Bowling was fun. Pool quite expensive. Golf was good up to hole 9 which frankly was stupid, entirely luck based and invalidated any previous hole scores, might as well be par 50... Date enjoyed it overall so worth the visit.
C. S.
This place can be so much fun. I've been to two company events here. One where we booked the whole top floor with ten pin bowling, pool, karaoke and another where we had the lower floor which has ten pin bowling and crazy golf too. The catering was excellent and staff are friendly. I hope we go there again soon as its a great venue for a get together
R. D.
When you walk in, it's like a bar. When you walk around it's like your dream games room - pool, ping-pong, bowling and all kinds of stuff that don't even have names for. Then you look a bit closer and realise that you can sit down to eat or have a drink (or two). The decor is marvellous, the music is excellent and the staff are so very helpful. Had a great evening there with a whole bunch of colleges. Something for everyone. Recommended.
C. R.
Good food and with a wide selection of activities a fun night out for any group. They offer vegan cheese on their pizza, and allow you to customise your own pizza. Only drawback for me is the price which I found to be on the higher end.
S. R.
Only played the mini golf. 9 holes with good variety including a loop!
J. S.
What a cute place! Might be small but it has everything you need for a great night out: bowling, mini golf, a bar and restaurant, even beer pong! Love going here with mates and it's not a bad place for a date either.
D. H.
We stumbled upon this place one Friday night when visiting Newcastle. Upon our visit we found it to be quite busy (as to be expected on a Friday night) I would suggest booking certain activities before hand.
We had a few drinks and played mini-golf. The drinks were reasonably priced as was the golf. All the staff were very friendly and answered any questions we had.
I would recommend this place if you find yourself looking for something fun to do in Newcastle.
E. S.
Great spot for a day out. My cousins and a few others went there for a stag do. Bowling, beer pong and crazy golf all under 1 roof. The crazy golf isn't the most elaborate course ever, but considering how much stuff this place does that can certainly be forgiven. The ONLY thing that lets it down is the food. If you're veggie or if dairy doesn't agree with you, you're likely to end up hungry. Luckily the staff was really nice which is kinda the norm for Newcastle. All in all its perfect for a typical family days, birthdays, hen & stag do's... Or even maybe a budget date. Go check it out!
R. G.
The one stop shop for a night out! Lots to do and very affordable
P. B.
Great spot to take kids before match!
C. D.
The drinks offerings were good and the pizza seemed popular. However, in trying to book a lane for bowling on the day online, this wasn’t possible. We also paid a rather significant sum of money for 1 couples game of bowling. I would have been happier with the amount we paid if we’d had full use of our time slot on the lane and been able to play a 2nd game.
J. B.
Good range of activities including bowling, table tennis, pool and bear pong. There are also a free retro arcade games such as PAC Man and Donkey Kong which you can play by purchasing tokens at the bar. Only negative is that the prices are a little bit high considering what it is.
J. B.
We had a stag night here.
Food was lovely and everyone enjoyed the night .
s. p.
Good small venue. But if expecting up to date equipment for bowling and nicely lined pool tables go elsewhere. They is beer pong, private karaoke area, bowling, table tennis, pool and crazy golf. Good drink choices and food okay.
D. W.
Lane7 was something new to the city centre that it didnt know it needed. The closest alley was on the West Road.
This is city centre bowling and has a millennial feel. Exposed brick and timber and lighting to match. Large drinks offering and also has a restaurant. Visited twice and not had a problem with the service, products or staff.
K.
Lots of fun! They have bowling, golf, ping pong and pool. It’s a great place to go if you are looking for a all in one place to have a party at. Had really good BBQ there.
K. H.
Celebrated a great 14th birthday playing bowels
S. N.
Bowling and mini golf is great fun and perfect for a group of friends or a couple. Nice place for food and drinks as well. Great start to a night.
J. E.
Awesome and bowling alley aren't two things I would usually put together, but this is the exception. Great selection of drinks, bowling, mini golf, friendly staff and also retro arcade machines! This was pretty much my jam.
S. M.
Didn't go for the bowling, went for the Pizza, as the do a Dairy Free Meat Feast with Vegan cheese for my son who has Dairy allergies.
Couldn't fault the meal, tasty , good portions, and good value. The wife had a child's Pizza as she is not a big eater, So if you're looking for analternative Venu for food and fancy a bowl as well this is the place to go.
W. S.
Great place to go for food and drink - not the most reliable lanes and the pins are held in place by string!
O. S.
The kids love the bowling, but the food and drinks are overpriced and the staff don't acknowledge that you're waiting, even if you're the only person at the bar. It doesn't hurt to say 'I'll be with you in a minute.' Not a bad family night out though.
T. R.
Came here with a large group and they could accommodate us all and the food was also nice
M. R.
Quite an enjoyable experience. Offers a balance between dining and bowling, offers a good burger and a nice cold beer. It can get quite busy at times where the service slows a little but it's definitely worth the visit.
S. W.
Great night out with friend. Had game of Bowling, pingpong, pool, air slider. A good few drinks and Chips to sober up.!
D. K.
Great, very elegant bowling alley with 10 lanes over 3 floors. Nice place to come to eat and relax too. It even has s 9 hole miniature golf course too.
A. N.
Fantastic place, bowling, pool, beer pong, crazy golf, etc etc.
Food great, staff amazing. Like most Newcastle places. Fab experience good prices.
L. M.
Great time with the guys. Bowl, pool, mini golf and dinner.
H. C.
It's a great place. It now has even more to offer with crazy golf and karaoke. The bowling is great, the shoes always look and smell clean, and the food we had was yummy
A. W.
Fab place to visit with plenty to do. We planned beer pong and karaoke which I would certainly recommend.
K. S. (.
3.5 isn’t available but that’s my rating!
Only been here 3 times so far.
It’s a little pricy but has a wide range of drinks and cocktails.
When trying to eat the slamming of bowling balls behind your head can make conversation difficult.
Quite good for vegan options :)
M. E.
My wife and I stopped visiting for food due to changing to pizzas only . They were lovely but there was no other choice. Now they are back to where they belong . Doing lovely burgers which are gorgeous. An excellent change of menu. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
S. F.
I love going here for my night outs.
C. W.
Amazing place for having great times. Has it all: bars with lots of stock, restaurant with yummy burguers and pizzas, bowling, minigolf, pools, pingpong, karaoke... You can spend a whole day there. As well, all the staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. Totally recommended
N. P.
Fun place. Had a corporate do here, so bowling, food and pool then mini golf.
Decent food, not going to set the world alight but ok, and fun surrounding. Decent beer if pricey.
M. A.
Been here a few times now but this was the first time I've been for food and bowling in the same night. Booked the restaurant and bowling via phone a couple of days in advance.
I really really wish Lane 7 would get rid of the infuriating policy of only being able to book 1 game in advance (1 game of bowling would be over in less than 30 mins for a party of 3 so understandably I wanted at least 2). I was told there was availability for multiple games at the time I chose but because of this rule I couldn't book it. This was made even more infuriating when I arrived and asked for a second game, to be then told that the lanes and golf were fully booked.
We had 2 courses at the restaurant, which were really tasty, if not a bit overpriced (friends ordered a cheese press and Cuban press, which were essentially cheese toasties and cost £10 and £11). My nacho libre burger was good (£12).
After our meal we went back to the desk to start our game of bowling. We were told that our lane (lane 10) was broken but we would be moved to another lane (lane 1) and as 'compensation', we were given a free round of mini golf.
I was grateful for the golf but I was a little confused how considering I had been told all lanes and golf were fully booked, and additional lane and space on the golf course had somehow materialized.
We still had a really good time and I would consider coming back, just would like to see the '1 game in advance' policy be relaxed or removed.
K. W.
Really cool and quirky place. The miniature golf downstairs is absolutely fantastic. They do fairly good food too, although it's a bit pricey for those on a student budget
T. W.
Boutique bowling? Sorry but it's not that exquisite and the bowling balls are well past their sell by date. The pool room was decent though as was the Beer pong. Some quality beer on offer.
P. S.
One of the fun place to enjoy specially as group to play Bowling.
S. F.
Really great place. Enjoyed the bowling and karaoke. But very noisy and difficult to hear people when you're eating. Quite expensive though compared to other bowling arcades I've been to.
D. M.
Amazing but only 4 lanes 🤔
M. A.
Nice mix of bar lanes and pool. All pretty new so the balls and lanes were still chip free. I did feel that the lane closest to the wall cramped my game, it's a shame more room wasn't left.
R. W.
My aesthetic is this bowling alley. Not only the bowling is flawless but the decoration and food/drink is on point. Some people may want more entertainment than just bowling. These people should maybe try Star Bowl but I feel that if you want a retro bowling experience then you should go to Lane7 xxxx
B. S.
Good bowling, friendly and helpful people the booze was quite nice. It was pretty quiet (it was on a Sunday) which I particularly liked.
Thanks guys :)
M. P.
Excellent experience great value
P. W.
Let's be honest, there are much better value bowling alleys in Newcastle if you're wanting to just bowl. But that's not really the point. With fantastic food, drinks, and loads of other activities to try, Lane 7 really sets itself apart from the competition.
Plus anywhere you can play Beer Pong without risking losing your Landlord's security deposit gets five stars from me!
J. P.
Always had a good time when I've been here. Great for groups. Theres a lot to do in one place too Bowling, Pool, Mini Golf, Table Tennis and Karaoke.
S. T.
I was at Lane 7 for a work function. Great private area with lots of stuff to do. Bowling, pool, table tennis, beer pong, karaoke, arcade machines. So much choice so everyone was entertained.
D. B.
Good fun, everything very expensive though
L. M.
Great interior and decor with a good selection of drinks and cocktails. Everything you need under one roof - pool tables, table tennis, and of course the bowling. The food was tasty and I would go again.
L. O.
Exciting
C.
Lots of different activities to do here, bowling being the main one, but also table tennis, pool and beer pong. Awesome place to hang out with a few friends, cocktails and beers are great as well.
F. S.
Excellent place, every city should have a Lane 7! Played pool and bowled, had dinner and drinks. Highly recommended... The food was great and the place just has a good vibe in general.
J. C.
Enjoyable location - very hip and trendy with gourmet pub food, exposed brick and a whole load of bowling, pool and other games. Can be used by stag and hen dos, usually well behaved, but be open minded....
M. B.
I love this place! The fun you can have in here is endless! With the bowling, singing, pool, minigolf etc. It is so enjoyable for parties, families wee get togethers! Definitely be back
J. P.
Great place to go bowling and other games such as pool and crazy golf. Wasn't expecting a bowling place to have such good food either. Brilliant menu and very tasty with great pricing.
F. B.
Went here for a family birthday celebration. Great for all ages. Menu had good something for everyone and the "kids" of all ages enjoyed the activities. Only downside was it got a bit noisy.
S. H.
Turned up without booking luckily managed to get a game of bowling and to book a pool table for an hour. Would certainly recommend booking!
Plenty to do here and a nice retro theme.
G. L.
Fantastic night Grate for families wonderful staff 😀
J. A.
Great night out! Lane 7 has so many things to do now... we were on a team night out and had a game of bowling, then played pool & ping ping with a feast of snacks put out as part of the package. Will certainly be going back soon
I. C.
Awesome spot for friends to hangout
J. A.
Great atmosphere.. Took party of 10. Food was OK but not special. Reasonable value but by no means cheap. Would definitely go again
P. N.
Plenty of things do here that makes it quite and enjoyable experience. The staff however seem very disinterested in serving customers and regularly make you wait so they can continue their personal conversation.
A. E.
Quite friendly staff and chill place, some machines are a bit old like the zombie one didn't work. Wouldn't recommend the food. Bog standard pizza.
L. d. S.
Lovely fun bowling with some drinks.
J. S.
Good Christmas Party for a diverse team. One criticism however, if you want to do more than just bowl you need to book ahead.
B. C.
Brilliant time, great place thanks
D. N.
Good vibe, pool tables are in ok state, drinks aren't ridiculous, crazy golf is pretty small. Staff are friendly!
D. K.
It has bowling, mini golf, ping pong and pool. Great night out.
C.
Why when choosing to go bowling would you go here when thered cheaper better placed dedicate to bowling elsewhere in the vancinity? Place is overpriced food bang average and appears always to be rammed for strange reasons? I can only presume people just dont know where to go.
S. M.
Canny Gus place to have a private party, 4 lanes of 10pin and 4 or 6 pool tables. You can get hot food burgers pizzas fries etc beware it's not cheap but you are in the town
R. C.
Nice place with some great games but a bit of a hipster paradise with the prices to match. £8/person for bowling and you're forced to book a table in the restaurant if it's a weekend evening.
M. M. V.
Food was amazing! 🤘🏽🤘🏽
A. G.
Great place for a good evening, bowling lanes, a place to have a good burger, bar and crazy golf all in one place. The atmosphere is fantastic, highly recommend
N. S.
Amazing***had to book in advance (covid)lots of cleaning stations and cleaning going on ,went above and beyond for disabled user in party loads to do defo be back
J. R.
Great to see this place thrive. Not a "cheap" night out by any stretch, but it's the only bowling alley I've been to that actually feels like a great night out. Probably because of the cocktails...
K. A.
Great night out, will definitely revisit.
J. F.
Had a great night a good laugh and the food was good too 😋
J. B.
Had a great time. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
D. K.
Great place for a group night out. Staff are all friendly and speak to customers brilliantly. Nothing was too much trouble.
L. N.
Lots of options: bowling, crazy golf, a few arcades, air hockey, even beer pong! Good prices too (both for games and drinks) and even 'off-peak' rates on games.
E. W.
The cutest bowling alley ever. There's bowling, personal karaoke booths, ping pong tables and their milkshakes are to die for (and can contain alcohol).
C. S.
Great staff, nice space and decent beer
R. M. S.
Nice bowling alley, good online specials if you book in advance. Didn't get to try the mini golf or arcade tho.
A. C.
Great place with plenty to do for old and young!! It's clean, modern and welcoming! Would definitely recommend!
M. H.
Great place for bowling pool ping pong and more. Food and drink good too. Best mid week as gets a bit pricey at weekends
D. H.
Lane 7 was a good bar, good games and nice staff and food!
L. D.
Lots of fun and a foodie feast. Good menu for gluten freers, and chefs will go out of their way to accommodate other allergies.
A. N.
Nice way to spend an evening (and quite a bit of money). Recommend booking a bowling Lane and a table in advance. Give the crazy golf a go too!
A. S.
Great atmosphere and decor. Bowling for grown ups.
D. A.
Fun place for food and drinks!
L. T.
It was an amazing night the staff were really friendly and kind but Eee god Keith Collins the peacekeeper 😂😂 what a super star he is i have never meet a door man as nice and helpful he is what a hero
S. A.
Good atmosphere and a surprisingly good start to a night out. The food was very nice, although slightly on the expensive side for what you get, but I couldn't fault the quality.
D. K.
Had a quick game of Golf. Good service and a nice atmosphere.
A. H.
Came here for stag party. Great venue. So much to do. Great food and drinks. Good atmosphere.
C. H.
Great place, so much nicer then traditional bowling places. Great for family as well as adults. Great drinks
R. W.
Brilliant Evening of fun, Second time at this venue, played crazy golf and bowled. Would be ideal for. Date night/work do.
K. S.
Great venue for karaoke although the rooms air-conditioning needs repaired. Lots to do, great for dates. Drinks are expensive.
J. I.
Bowling, mini golf, ping pong and beer pong. All good prices, but the bar wasn't such good value. Spent a good 3 hours here playing games.
M. M.
Had a top quality time for a birthday bash! Food was excellent drinks were good and loved the mini golf
L. M.
Fun place but a bit pricey for what it is.
C. T.
Great place for bowling. Can get lots of deals, drinks aren't the cheapest in Newcastle but still a fab night.
F. J.
Not my type of place just popped in for a pint.🍺more of a young person's place .🙂
C. R.
Nice atmosphere, enjoyable place to bowl. One major drawback is you can't book for more than one game of bowls.

Very friendly staff, amazing place needs to be more nationwide. Great set up for any occasion
O. O.
Awesome... Great fun!
Z. A.

K. B.
Great place, food good, it took a while to get served at bar but apart from that good fun
j. b.
Had such a laugh when visiting recently. Booked a ping pong table and had food. The food was good but I felt it was on the expensive side. However the choice of beers and cocktails made up for it.
J. M.
I love this place, great times I always have here
C. M. (.
Had a great time, you can mess around quite a bit of you're downstairs

Love land 7, such a fun and sociable place. Drinks are a little bit over priced but not too bad.
K. D.
They've got it all; beer pong, ping pong, arcade games, air hockey, bowling, mini golf ,bar & restaurant - you name it. Reasonably priced too and just a wee walk from the centre.
C. M.
Not a bad place for a night bowling
J. C.
Great venue, great vibe, extremely good staff
V. M.
Food here is lovely, especially the hot dogs. Good place for a meal out with some bowling thrown in for good measure.

L. H.
Excellent place the full family enjoyed it
C. P.
Loads to do with friends here, bowling, ping pong, racing, mini golf, karaoke, arcade machines and bars. Not the cheapest but nice and good fun
N. W.
Good bar food, and a fun place to have game of pool, but the drinks game is un hygienic, it's not recommended!
C. S.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere but drinks are quite expensive for a bowling alley
L. E.
Great night of bowling, food, drinking. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.
a. t.
Bar area properly socially distanced but not so for bowling
J. G.
Cool place for Bowling, Food, Ping Pong, Mini Golf, etc but it does cost a fair wedge
C. A.
Great place, a little expensive but much nicer than your average bowling alley.
Great food too
H. P.

Too slow serving and dealing with our large group of people.
А. Р.
Good bowling place. Nice staff. Vous decoration. Food was so so-so and expensive. Bar is good.
L. R. P.
A great place with a variety of activities, if the bowling is too expensive then have a game of mini golf and definitely take part in the racing rig!

J. C.
Great place for the family especially on a rainy day! Would bet it was a great night out with friends too!!
I. S.
Very expensive and won't server food (but will serve alcohol) on the lanes. For that price you think they could afford someone to mop up.
C. W.
Pleasant surprise when attending here, very cool venue. Only improvement would be a downstairs bar or the option of table service.
N.
It's fun to bowl but the only problem is that the balls get stuck in the end thingy so we have to take the other lanes balls
B. C.
Great laugh with friends. Grab a drink and get bowling. Been around 3 times now. Book in advance
G. J.
My daughter took her friends there for her birthday. Loved the whole experience 👍👌
m.
