Great pub with nice atmosphere. Great range of drinks including an extensive range of non alcoholic. To the side is a small music room with a good PA. They host a wide range of up and coming bands from UK and the States. See bands here that will be big next year.

I finally visited this pub ( about a week &1/2 ago )while I was traveling in Wales ! Y AY!! It was in my bucket list for 3 years !! Very friendly atmosphere/ services !! Very good foods !! I had a vegan burger & it was delicious !! The man ( lady like ) who helped me was very pretty & sweet ! And the lady worked there I asked where the toilet was to was very friendly, too !Only a couple of issues I experienced there were ( it seemed typical in Wales & England ) that they didn't wear gloves ,or use tongues always to prepare foods ! I am from L A.& originally from Tokyo ,so I was shocked !! Also , the bathroom ( toilet ) was super smelly ( of urine ,again it seemed typical as there were too many like this I used in London & Newport,Wales !😅 ) that made me wonder when was the last time they cleaned it ,or if ever cleaning the toilet ,or not !!? These are the reasons I can't give 5 stars ,but 4 !! Sadly ! As I was very looking forward to visit this famous all vegan pub ( I am a vegetarian ) & the burger was great 👍 And the person took / prepared my order was real nice & very friendly & charged me less as I didn't want chips !! I was surprised & thought that was a great gesture/ super cool treatment / service !!! I greatly appreciated it !! 🙏🏼I recommend this pub to all vegans / vegetarians & music fans ,off course !! But,hoping they'll improve their hygiene practices on preparing foods & the toilets !!

One of the most important venues for bands and artists in South Wales. Have always felt well looked after and safe here, due in part to their zero tolerance of d***heads. Love this place but can't get there often enough unfortunately. A great selection of beers from small breweries, fantastic bands and a really friendly, welcoming atmosphere. It's vegan, accessible, LGBTQI+ friendly and a real community asset.

A unique and welcoming venue with great service and beers. I’m not a vegan, but their food appeals to everyone. Great music venue who are celebrating 30 years of being at the heart of a reviving local music scene. The manager was recently targeted by a TERF demonstration, but she refused them entry in order to protect her own staff and customers. Even if Le Pub is not your bag, you have to admire the stance taken when confronted with bigoted intimidation. Please take no notice of recent ratings without explanation, as these will be the result of their fruitless visit. Well done to Sam and all her team.

Le Pub is a gem in Newport. The atmosphere is always good, and the selection of food and drinks is generous, with food served until 10PM. It’s rarely too busy to find a seat, and prices are very reasonable. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

This place is amazing! Staff are so friendly, music is great. Always clean and tidy. They have worked really well with lockdown restrictions. I booked a table for 4 people for £40 then got that in credit to spend at the bar. Only think I would change is the vouchers come in £10 it's best to spend it in one go. Food is amazing and Trevor Nelson is the must have drink 😍

We had delicious veggie burgers. They arrived promptly and were great value. Good selection of beer. We also saw a band, who were brilliant. We're going to see them again in London later in the week, but that gig won't have the ambiance that Le Pub had. So friendly and nice. Glasses allowed! Like we're responsible adults. Loved it - wish my home town had somewhere like it.

We had an amazing time at Le Pub for a birthday celebration. We ŕeserved an area for the afternoon for family, friends and kids and was well looked after by Sam and staff. One of my favourite places! Le Pub has a fantastic selection of beers, coffees and milkshakes (with alternative milks!). The food is amazing. I particularly love their hellspawn burgers with garlic fries. Hate having to choose, however, between jackfruit and soya because they are both so good. What makes this place totally special though is the staff who are super welcoming and it is totally DOG FRIENDLY and I'd rank it very highly for accessibility too!

I miss le pub since I moved away from Newport and that speaks volumes after only going once. They have board games behind the bar you can play and all the food is vegan. There's a great choice of alcohol to choose from and the atmosphere is brilliant. Also they played high school musical in the toilets which was a amazing choice. Additionally, wholesome graffiti. I don't know how they did it but all the graffiti in the loo is so wholesome and nice to read.

Great to see awesome live bands playing for FREE in 'The Venue' next door to the bar area and have a dance to often really great music there, but that area needs better lighting as its poorly lit. Sadly owner Sam is really grumpy and rude to her customers (especially at kick out time when she shouts at you rudely - straight after last orders when ya trying to finish ya drink in peace!). Owners/Sam also don't bother to announce when bands are on (probably coz that takes them away from the bar - cha-ching!), so most people in bar area don't even realise great bands are playing! :-(
