Nice intimate venue. Small capacity, so you’ll be guaranteed to be close to the stage. Friendly bar staff & entry desk attendant. Security team seems to be a mixture of good and surly.
Top tip: if you attend a gig and there are some ignorant and/or selfish folk talking all through the set, try asking them politely to desist and it might just work. I did it tonight at the Villagers gig and the 2 guys behind me kindly moved away to enjoy their conversation further away from the stage. Of course, it’s also possible you’ll get punched, and I accept no responsibility for the advice given here.

Really intimate grass roots venue. Great to see Roachford up close. Facilities good, staff friendly. Lager not to my taste though so kept with bottled water. Had a very enjoyable night. Stayed at Premier opposite the station and this is less than 10 minutes walk away.

People are too quick to judge without hearing both sides of the story. I can’t say I’ve had a bad night here. Staff are always friendly (including bouncers). Drinks are always well priced, below average I’ve found. Entry fee is fair. Always play a good selection of music 👌🏻

Been going there since the 90s. Always respectful people. Drink is a bit iffy but this is the best venue around. I like it as it's not to big and acoustics make the place. You have to take your vacation card to get in so don't forget. It's ok for wheelchairs and disabled people. Can't wait to go again.

Great place for live music, decent drink prices and who doesn't love to revisit their youth by singing all the old emo tunes

Nice little venue with excellent acoustics in a nice part of Norwich. There are a lot of places to eat before a gig just across the river. Dream state were amazing as always.

Fantastic gig venue, really good sound, wide stage area and massive bar. Venue staff were all really friendly and it had a really good atmosphere. Mix of music between floors too 🤘

What an amazing place. Booked tickets to see a band on a whim; music was outstanding, crowd was totally chilled and exceptionally friendly (aged from <18-65+), absolutely fantastic experience. Greeted on entry by friendly staff checking Covid vaccination status, helpful and friendly security, professional reception, cloakroom and cleaning staff, excellent bar staff, and a surprisingly clean venue. Superb. After the live music the venue became a nightclub, with 90s and 2000s reasonably safe indie, rock, rap and chart downstairs, metal and indie in the upstairs chillout bar, industrial / goth / techno in the upstairs dance room (I spent most of the night in there), and an outdoor area for cooling off and chillaxing. Generally older people upstairs and kids downstairs but plenty of mixing. Everyone was very friendly. No edge, no trouble, best evening out in a long time. Cannot praise this place enough. Huge thanks to the security staff who were thoroughly professional and really chatty and friendly. Thanks everyone for a brilliant night!

I have a soft spot for the Waterfront having seen lots of great bands here over the years. Recently saw Friendly Fires perform here and it was a good night.
The bar staff are friendly and attentive and the venue does attarct a good mix of people of varying ages including locals, university students and the odd super fan or two.
It has moved with the times and you can use contactless payments here which is conveinant. If music is your thing, I can think of worse places to go.

Fun little venue, small size means you're close to the band wherever you are but also it gets sweaty af.
