d. f.We had just been to a show when we walked past Popworld and thought we’d try it out. We obviously looked lost as a young gentlemen came over and introduced himself as Aiden. He told us that midweek was predominantly student orientated an as they are away for summer recess, it may or may not be busy, either way, enjoy yourself an if there is anything that we needed, just wave, very helpful and a credit to the leisure industry and the management team that hired and trained the staff. The atmosphere and music was great (I even knew the majority of the songs played, a rarity in most clubs nowadays) that topped with good value drinks made it a very enjoyable evening. J.Recently went to the club, while I was there one of the girls I was with had noticed a guy who she had some rough history with. Almost immediately the security team noticed this and came and grabbed me and asked what’s happening. After explaining the situation, the security staff took me to see the head doorman to explain the situation and make him aware. He explained how he was going to deal with it and we had no hassle that night, amazing job by all the security team who periodically checked on us throughout the night and a massive thank you to the head doorman for how the situation was dealt with.

J. S.For a corporate venue of this capacity, the level of production was better than I expected. Plenty of c02 and confetti. However the lights didnt really fit the music at times and the smoke machine was used as a feature not its intended purpose (to fill the room). The cloakroom is via the bar which isnt very fair on the staff to be honest and they could do with dedicated front of house/cloak staff. Also the door staff are idiots but thats just symptom of the industry shortage and not reflective of the venue. Average overall

G. R.I went to Pop World with my friends Keerendeep Bhullar, Sara Wang on more than one occasion. One time Kerin (a gay friend of ours) joined us at Pop World. The drinks are a fair price, and the specials prices on alcohol drinks great. I would recommend Pop World to any person looking for a great night of dancing, drinking and talking to new people. Go to Pop World you will not regret it.

D. S.Never had a dull night in Popworld and it's a favourite among our group. Very lively 80s and 90s cheese and disco themed nightclub, great venue for a silly and fun night out. It's music that everyone can dance and sing along to. Decor is fantastic, they have everything to suit their theme, bright neon dancefloor, mirrored walls, disco balls and pastel colour furniture.
The venue is split across two floors. The main floor hosts the dance floor, some VIP seating and the main bar. There is a small upstairs terrace which has the toilets, another smaller bar, some seating and air con.
Drinks are reasonably priced and you can get some interesting ones too, served in jam jars, top hats and plastic oversized margarita glasses.
Floor can get a bit sticky and the venue can have an odd latex/sweaty smell to it, but after drinking one too many cocktails served in a top hat, you won't notice. The main reason it warrants five stars is the fun element. The place has one of the best crowds and atmospheres in Southampton.
Place normally closes around 2, so if you need to continue a disco themed night out, you should head to Oceana afterwards and check out the Disco room.

You won't care about the state of the sticky floor, or the other patrons even, when you're necking your drinks and shots of Sourz as quickly as you can to stay drunk. It's a laugh, great fun and the queue for the bar never felt too long
J. C.Great drink prices, good choice of music. Only downside is that you can't bring your drinks on the dancefloor. Which I don't really understand. Buying a drink and just standing around near the dancefloor is not really that fun.
