As soon as I walked through the door, I felt at home, straight away, I LOVE IT 😁
The atmosphere and the people who frequent this bar are all ultra friendly, I didn’t feel uncomfortable for even a nanosecond.
This venue is seriously impressive so what are you waiting for, and no, I’m not on commission here, I just love everything about the place ❤️😁👍

S. D.We had the privilege of playing here on Friday night (19.11.21), it is without a doubt the best venue we’ve played at. As you walk in you instantly know this place is special , there’s a phone box on your right, a ZZtop style Ford and an old Bugatti racing car in front of you , walk past the waltzer car and the jack Daniel’s bottle lighting and you step down to the concrete floor of an old motorbike garage complete with work benches and tool boxes , we shared the stage with 3 classic motorcycles, traffic lights and tyre advertising banners.
I can’t tell you how cool, quirky, original, warm and friendly this place is . The owner, Russ, is an absolute gem and has built grumpys with his own two hands and a lot of love.
If you love live music, good beer, a friendly atmosphere, a cracking night out in a venue that is truly unique this is the place for you !!

W.Secluded on a quiet little side street, surrounded by the remains of industrial Burslem, where the canal still flows through the heart of the Potteries, lies something special, a throbbing rumble that sends ripples back into those still waters and suggests the heavy noise is far from over yet. Outside there's little more than a suggestive green uplight and a stencil on the wall to give away what lies inside. Through those wooden workshop doors, a petrolhead's dream awaits; the gaping air scoop of a blown 32' coupe, a well kept Bugatti racer piloted by a screaming skeleton, diner seating, old waltzer chairs, the grin of a barman serving through a hole in the wall, and a stage surrounded by tools smeared with fresh grease. The detail is immense and the vibe addictive. Imagine Walt Disney himself had snorted back a canister of nitrous oxide, sold his soul to the devil, and built the ultimate hot-rod hangout. The irony of Grumpy's is it's one of the friendliest bars in town and showcases some of the hottest unknown bands. Come for the music, stay for the conversation, and linger for the environment. If you're just visiting, this is a must see. If you're in the area, this is a must do. There's only one rule here - don't be a stranger.
D. M.Cool bar/music venue with a nice friendly vibe. Can get a bit cramped when a decent band is on because of the hot rod and other items around the place but all make it a unique place and I would recommend a visit. Gigs are posted on their private FB group.
Can’t comment on the motorbike servicing/repair side of the business as I’ve never used them but from looking around the place I’d say they know what they’re doing.

T. W.A great place to socialize. Unique as this is not just a garage it is also a venue becoming ever more popular for music and live entertainment. A great atmosphere and friendly people. A lot of motoring memorabilia to be seen in this recently refurbished establishment. So if you need a mechanical repair or service or just want to chill with a couple beers and maybe sample one or two from the extensive spirits bar GB is the place to be. 🙂🍺🏴☠️

An absolutely cracking place.
From the moment I walked in I felt at home.
Really cool that this is also a working garage by day.
The owners and staff are honest, quality people and the whole ethos behind the venue is admirable.
Not many places these days are willing to encourage new bands and offer them a place to get started, but Grumpy's do and that can only benefit everyone.
Bottom line : You'd be a fool not to visit this venue and what a night you'd miss out on.

K. T.We go to Grumpy's bar. While you're drinking you can see the bikes on ramps. You can see that they do great work. BUT! The surroundings and atmosphere in there on a bike night is amazing. A must to be experienced.

Stepping through the door takes you to another dimension one you wouldn't expect to find in its location, no other place like it around these parts. If you get chance, be sure to check it out!
