Reviews of Worcester Racecourse
Easy walk from town centre BUT also good like I did and spent the day after travelling from Birmingham arrived 10.30am ( app 40mins ) visited the cathedral ,shops lunch etc and then onto the races which started at 5.50pm. thanks to the staff I met at Worcester races and taking in the whole day will definitely go back for the same type of visit OR straight to the horse racing 👍👍👍👍
I can't recommend this place for anything other than a covid19 booster jab.
Still, atleast this will be a funny review in years to come.
Perfect for a Sunday afternoon stroll full tarmac footpath all the way round, enjoy the banks of the Severn and dappled shade of the mature trees that line route. Keep an ear open for joggers and cyclist making up the miles.
Great day at the races. They could do with improving the way that you get in at the turnstiles. When leaving the racecourse it took a long time in the car. The course is well maintained.
Firstly, I never come to watch the horse racing. I come here often to walk my dogs. This is a great walk in all weathers, especially if it’s raining. There is a tarmac path all the way around the course which keeps the mud at bay. One side of the pitch is along the river where there are low points for my pups to take a dip. The path on this side is also lined with very tall trees (not sure what kind) that smell wonderful in the spring. Also fair few swans floating up and down that can be observed from sitting benches dotted along the length of the riverfront. Lots of anglers and rowers at the right times of year. Also a community garden here where you can see recycling and conservation at work. South end of racecourse is very near city centre (5-10 min walk). On north end, you can cross over into Gheluvelt Park with a small café on the grounds. Both the racecourse & the park would be good for picnics on a sunny day. Lots of activities also available throughout the year in addition to horse racing. There is a small, free car park tucked into the north end. Otherwise there is a pay & display on the south end. Great place for walkies & throwing a ball, lots of poo bins to help keep it clean.
Great day out. Pop up the cafe just up the river for your refreshments, and get back in time for next race
Had a good day out here on ladies day. Getting served at the bar though took up to 15 mins at times and the place is looking a little tired, namely the grandstand and bar areas. Was extremely busy, but being the day it was, kind of expected
Ruby Dog and I love walking around Pitchcroft. It's a great place to meet people and there's plenty to see in all weathers. Haven't been inside the Grandstand for years so can't pass judgement on that. A public loo would be good though. The nearest is up by the bridge and you need a 20p for it.
Went to the Worcester Beer Fest again this year. Lovely venue at Worcester Racecourse. Merry time for all, would love to go again to see how it is on a proper race night
Great public park as well as racecourse
Lovely day out
Well run, helpful staff, easy walk from city center. Bit overpriced £22 entry fee, expensive food and drinks. Overall 4*
Salmon pate was the best l've ever had! Main course was cold .Main man was excellent ( in Severn restaurant) rest of staff needed major training but overall a good day
Whilst there were 15mins of fireworks - a good display, I seriously object to being kept waiting 25mins beyond the advertised time. Suggest they get people with proper experience next year. Oh, and lighting the bonfire was at least 15mins late too.
It was lovely day out
Practicing my one Millon steps
Not watching horse racing, a large in-field. Large area of grass at the North end, this, via a small car park, leads to the Old Pump House cafè. There is a big grassy area. A superb place for a quick coffee.
Pitchcroft Racecourse open areas are open all year. Whilst races of on, not allowed on in-field unless one pays.
All in all a Brill place for a walk by the River Severn, a jog or a secure-ish place for everything Dog orientated!
Lovely day out, the weather was glorious which added to the day. we were in the county enclosure, only complaint I could have is the smoking that is going on in the top section of the stand. The steward told a group of Welsh men it was no smoking, despite this they continued to smoke the whole time and sarcastically tell each other 'hey it's no smoking' and laughing. Unfortunately the steward was more interested in watching the racing through his binoculars than properly managing the people in the area. I stank of cigarette smoke & my other half got headache from the constant fog... so had to move from our comfortable spot that we'd found before these inconsiderate ppl infiltrated with their toxic smoke. More should be done, on the spot fines etc.. felt like no support from steward despite complaining. This is why the review loses stars for me.
Great fathers day out.xx
Excellent day with staff working brilliantly..Great enthusiasm made with great races..well done worcester racecourse.
Had a pleasant walk around the racecourse with the dog.Parking nearby. What's not to like.
Vacation site very well organized. Staff willing to make the time to explain.
Disappointed we couldn't go in the centre of the course and then not take our picnic on the main area around the course, it was my husband's 65th birthday. But, throughly enjoyed the racing.
Brilliant night had by all. Attentive staff, food was lovely. Would do it again.
Great day out on MacMillan race day. Good racing, great racecourse, easy to see the horses close up in the parade ring and really good value for money. If you've never been, you should give it a try.
As always we had a brilliant day spotlessly clean, with very friendly staff
We were here for the beer ,cider and perry festival. 2nd time ive been now and can't wait to go again. Such an awesome selection and fun day with friends
Beautiful relax place for walking or running, near the river Severn. You can shorten your journey from Gallouwelt Park to the center
Very good day out. Could have made some of the covid stuff easier. Appreciate not easy with boozed up punters.
Lovely but expensive
The buildings on the conference area need some TLC
Worcester beer, cider and Perry festival great
Went for top up vaccination. Staff out of sorts in the beginning, but got it sorted in the end!.
Lovely racecourse, one of the smaller ones. Good views of the paddock, course and winning post. Lots of parking but we were staying in Worcester and only a 10 minute walk from the city centre.
Great little racecourse. Ten minutes walk from the town centre and railway station. Went here in June for Ladies day and really enjoyed it!
Went to UB40 concert at the race course facilities were good staff excellent . Good evening out
Amazing day lovely weather shame i didn't win anything but still had a god time
Attended for the annual Pitchcroft 10k
Lovely atmosphere. Good racing. Nice people. Staff very caring.
Such a beautiful circular walk, run, cycle with the City a stone's throw away and the River Severn running alongside. Lovely!
Great day whenme and my partner sat and watched UB40 turebute band acredit to racecourse becky royxx
WORCESTER is a lovely place to go racing, good all round views of the course from the grandstand, staff very friendly and helpful, and nice to see Gloucestershire trainers have some winners.
Although I've never come to the race course to watch and races I've found that is it a good place to have a walk or walk the dog (especially of a sunny day). Although, when it's been raining, the grass becomes very muddy and slippy.
Sunny day plenty of shade good day out. Impressed they are well on top of the litter droppers with plenty of great staff collecting thanks.
So it’s ok here. Prices are high, I found the tipsters to be very sharp with people who are knew to betting - you can’t put an each bet on this one- bit there is good opp to see the horses and jockeys up close and a good atmosphere. The Tote is in the bar not at the advertised hit in the middle. People don’t go all out dressing up but some do. As a person new to racing and betting I thought they could have introduced this more. The guide you get is pretty good though and worth looking at. Their tips pretty much came in 1, 2, or 3.
OK nice night, bar staff bit unriable, asked price of wine 🍷 39 pounds they said, when you could get house wine 23 a bottle 🍾 tadge dear
All Good
Ladies Day was my very 1st time there, very busy, I wouldn't return was a bit to hectic for me, overall a 5 star
The dogs love it. A nice flat amble.
Great staff, lovely weather made it a fantastic day out.
Well organised event, race day was great and UB40 was a bonus.
Very pretty friendly course. A little work needed to smarten it up a bit and food is expensive.
Lovely day & a couple of winners
Always great day
Easy to access and park when I drop off my clients.
Had an excellent day on ladies day 2018. We as a company sponsored a race and had the luxury of choosing the best turned out horse for our sponsored race the Wright Staff Derby. Our chosen horse won.
Great venue, great food, great atmosphere and would fully recommend. Thank you and see you next year.
Went here for ladies day on my stag do and it was a really good day out. Good atmosphere plenty to eat and drink great time.
Gets flooded a lot. But nice track. They normally leave the gate open So people can relax on the grass or run alongside the track
Good viewing and helpful staff
Fairplay to the horses, I visited there on a non race day and struggled to get over 1 fence
Bit of fun as they do some sound events here. We visited the open evening for college and the circus. Clubhouses there are friendly
Had a great day at Worcester race course staff and clients where friendly experience was fantastic
Really relaxed and safe. Everyone gets a good view and table 👍
During the summer I can't think of a more enjoyable way of spending an afternoon or evening out. When you think how reasonable it is to get in it gives great value for money.
Enjoyable racing event, however, venue could do with some investments. Food and drink rather expensive and bar service lacks any kind of order.
Beautiful course great viewing Bars well run friendly staff Elvis was brilliant great atmosphere..This was my partners birthday weekend what a great start THANKYOU
A lovely afternoon in the Worcestershire sunshine spent with my two daughters☀️ awaiting Sir Tom Jones supported by the Shires and opened by Germain a girl band of sisters all the way from Adelaide in Australia . Spectacular concert!
Always a great weekend first Saturday of june.the only saturday to have a meeting unless there's a band on like james were a while back
Had a great day with hospitality to celebrate my brothers birthday.
I went to watch my daughter doing a very wet and muddy run for Cancer research UK. She runs for me (15 yrs free of Cancer )
and anyone at any stage of the journey. ,
Best racecourse ever my local track has given me so many great days out and brilliant memories with my family over the years
Nice place for a quiet walk
Great place for walks, bike ride, run and any outdoor sport
Went for my flu jab, well organised, no waiting, no fuss.
Went with friend to get both jabs no appointment needed. Walk in. 👍👍👍
Worcester show a lovely day out especially enjoyed the music
Came here for my flu vacation. So well organised. Thanks
Excellent place to go Professionally run venue, very well organised. Excellent staff members throughout, a very exciting and Enjoyable play to be. Highly Recommended.
Lovely day out on Oct 19th, but a total nightmare getting out from the car park. It took 52 minutes to get as far as the road outside of the course.
Love going to Worcester racecourse good day out with family facilities are avarage though toilets were clean.
A great place to go racing especially if you are an owner.
Love the racecourse, great to walk past/through and even better that it is in the city next to a river. Great for an afternoon walk
Had a picnic with my daughter on the grass, lovely cheese sandwich. 6 stars.
Relaxed friendly environment. Last visited the course around 25 years ago. Great night's fun.
Love this place
Great for a good walk as not too far (around two miles)
Great open space right by the river to come for a walk with the dogs or a run well worth coming to in the summer
Good beer festival paddling in mud
The Beer Festival was wonderful today- but did not go in the Racecourse buildings.
Fantastic racecourse, what it may lack in a few facilities it easily makes up for in it's ability to see all of the course from the stand and the friendly nature of the staff. Love a midweek meeting to really enjoy the summer jumps.
Excellent went for a really nice walk around the race track
Its a good place for walking and running.. safely and peacefully
Good day out but could do with a lick of paint here and there. But for the overall fun factor it does the job and is a good craic when the sun is out.
Good food, service and people, but feels and looks like Hi de Hi's sister location.
Good place for a walk with the kids. Clean and plenty of benches dotted around the place.
Very busy today with family fun day. Excellent fine dining in he restaurant as usual
Had an enjoyable day out here for my sons bellboating trip with the school very nice place
Went on a family fun day. Plenty of parking , food and had a good time
Morally opposed to horse racing, but the Worcester Beer Festival here was rather good
Great day out!
Very disappointed with the overall state of the fixture and fittings. When you pay £22 entrance fee.....the least you should expect are decent Gents toilets, they were dilapidated and dirty. Shame on you Worcester Racecourse.
Lovely little racecourse, summer jumps meetings only.
Very well organised and a great day out.
Lovely place to walk along the riverbank with my dog.
A waisted space within Worcester this could be so much more. It was given to the people of Worcester but the council gave it away.
A great day out. Would recommend the family fun day weather permitting
Lovely day out
Great place to experience racing. Friendly people all around. Good fun
Great day racing with entertainment with UB40 after.
Good days racing .
Over priced for the facilities available.
Great course, only drawback is there is only one food outlet on course
Lovely atmosphere and brilliant music but was very put out that there was no seats for a 12 hour venue.
Everything started well, arrived early and got a good pitch in the stand 30 yards from the line. Some good races and close finishes but sadly no cigar. The racing was enjoyable but then came the main event, James Bay in concert and he and his band were excellent, with James really rocking and saying how much he has missed live performing but he totally smashed it.
My only negative on the night was Burger Street food van. 1 hot dog, no onions offered and a stale roll, 1 chicken burger, 1 tiny portions of overcooked, hard and greasy chips £16.50, add in 2 cans of Pepsi at £2.50 apiece and you have been right royally ripped off and that's the only reason I dropped from 5 stars. Worcester racecourse 5 stars, Burger Street food 0 stars Just avoid Burger Street is my Recommendation.
Lovely to have an open space to walk so close to the city centre.
Great afternoon. Long que for expensive beer.
Under water again
Great venue. Friendly staff and tasty food. Good Christmas party venue
Great day out bear not cheap but a good family day out and loads of parking space
A good local track a bit off a nightmare getting out off the car park but enjoyed my day out
Great place well organized, friendly staff.
Great race course, also used for Bonfire night and organised fireworks display, well worth going
Nice place to visit web closed to walk up the river side or round the course or take a break from the rat race an sit and watch the world go by
Great place. Staff make you feel welcome and are very help full
Fantastic day out. Not to far to walk from hotel..
Brilliant day! Absolutely loved it 😁
Great day out, suitable for all with good disabled ♿ facilities
We transport clients to and from the Worcester Racecourse on a regular basis, always high praise.
Loved the experience
Great day out and really well worth the visit.
Had a great day in the sevens restaurant. Great food, great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Great day never been racing before but we loved it had a few wins too worth the experience
Nice racecourse, could do with more Saturday race meeting only one Saturday a year seems like a missed opportunity.
Sometimes I like to pretend I'm a horse. Other times I stay home. Also there is a path that goes all the way around it.
Not gonna lie, just walk or ride round. Not been to a race!
Excellent location, and restaurants bars near by, train station is only a 10 minute walk.
Great place for a good day out
You will find this racecourse nestling near the banks of the River Severn .Car parking nearby ,and not to far to walk up to the town .
Brilliant day, good staff willing to help you and we came away WINNING...
Drinks and Food far tooooo expensive! Staff are great but under paid
Comfortable friendly easy dining experience
Great course and excellent events.
Great day out easy access from the train station
Lovely little place indeed. Visit!
Great place to take my dog for a walk
Just a great provincial race course and a fun day out
Excellent meal wonderful service especially cherrelle nothing was too much trouble thank u
Really great afternoon of racing. Everyone's so friendly.
Great afternoon, good food.
Good day at Worcester racecourse and a bit of UB40
Wonderful day really enjoyed the day weather good which helped.
Great venue for events - good location, access & parking
Car park still awful, badly needs sorting out. Racing and facilities both okay.
Internet awful, most people having trouble putting there bets on
Only came here for the Oktoberfest but thoroughly enjoyed myself
They hold a decent Ale/Cider festival!
Ladies day and a superb time. 2nd year going and will go again.
Great day out as it was family day. Bouncy castles and slides for the kids. Would go again if a family day.
Lovely Staff And very polite
Really cool. Never been to the races tho
Worcester Beer, Cider and Perry is held here and is well recommended
Great day out great meal and friendly staff
Excellent to walk round on non racing days
A very friendly picturesque racecourse
Went for vaccine. Got vaccine. Queues short
Good day out. Food outrageously priced.beer expensive too
Had a lovely day at Worcester Races was a lovely present from our son
Nice place to walk when races aren't happening
First time ever going to the raced will definitely be going back . Great day with friends , beer is a bit pricey but still a good day.
Great dog walking space and lovely riverside walk.
Good course and racing for all the family
At 22° on Good Friday very nice walk
Fantastic time here. Get down and see for yourselves x
Never been for horseracing just other events. Great facility
Good for exercising dogs, I don't know about horses.
Racecourse in the heart of Worcester City
Always a pleasure. Good views great city

Fantastic aftanoon at the races with lots of winners laughter n sunshine x
Beautiful walk well maintained paths
WORCESTER RACE CORSE
IS USED FOR HORSE RACEING ON IT AND OTHER EVENTS LATER ON IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS.
Lovely walk in the winter sunshine. No horses, though.!!
Green open space in town and easily accessible.
Great course had some great days out there
Beatbreakerz school of dance were performing absolutely brilliant
Just running round. Flat and scenic.
Excellent venue good food and Guinness
Excellent place for the flu jab.
Great stewards, good racing and brilliant James Bay concert.
Downside - bar prices very steep.
Great fun if I only I could win sometime it would be perfect
Lovely racecourse
They have good sticks to play with when walking
Great place to walk when no races on!
Great day at the races so relaxing win or lose
Nice course, but not quite Stratford!
This is a really good place to walk the dog.
Good day but have been to nicer racecourses
Not flashy but a pretty racecourse. Nice and cheap !!
Beautiful day out made better with a few winning bets
Great course with friendly helpful staff. Facilities need a fair bit of modernizing in certain areas but plans are under way.
Good day out would have been better with more winners
Nice place easy to get about easy to bet
Good disabled access.
Great place for to go for a day out
Nice place.
My dogs enjoyed walking round it
Lovely race in the heart of town
Only came for the bonfire and fireworks. Lovely evening.
The place can be full of Racist (racers ) who have a very good times .haha
I didn't go the races
Only parked in car in the near by car 6
Racing was great it was well organised the only problem, and it was a big problem, they Will not take cash at the outlets so when the internet connection went down everything came to a halt ergo dozens of upset race goers.
Great place as long as you bet on the winner lol
I don't go for the horses but the dogs love walking here.
Nice racecourse located next to the river.
Never been here for the races, have attended events which are well organised
Was there on lady's day. Loved it
A fantastic course where the racing of horses takes place.
Visited here for parkrun and it was nice!
Great for weekend walks and picnics!
Lovely to walk by the river and racecourse..
Great day
Course buildings a bit tired, but very good restaurant meal, excellent service and a good view of the course
We attended yesterday (4th June) for ladies day.
First impressions were unfortunately not good, we went into the main bar which was more like a very old fashioned working mens club. The decor and furnishings were tired and more seating desperately needed.
Outside there were food and drink vans provided by a third party caterer. Food was adequate, but not worth the inflated prices. £20 for a chicken burger, pulled pork and 1 portion of chips.
I do appreciate you'll always pay a bit more at these kind of venues but considering the ticket price to get in (which was expensive) v's experience, I'll stick to jeans and trainers by the race track next time.
I would like to say, all the staff we encountered were great 👍🏼
Only went for flu jabs.
Very expernsive
Nice area and lots of events to go to
Nice for a walk but catering is poor
Had a great time with sheila mark and Nikki
Great walk by the river side.
A lot of rubbish as we walked around today
Love this green space for walks and run
One of Worcester best Riverside walk.
Amazing day, Thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Nice little course not too packed but some of the bar staff need to up their game.
Good day but poor security and poor toilet facilities.
also known as Worcesters only outdoor swimming pool
Nice venue. Great views.
Great place! Amazing food!
Ok for walking dog and kids riding bike
Good facilities. Great food.
excellent place for walking dogs
Excellent place to visit
fantastic day out highly recommend
Had a great day, and a good win
Service could of been better, food was medioka not enough portions. Needs a better menu.
Very good time great staff
Fantastic day out would recommend
Bit tired here, got dressed up for the races and felt a little out of place here
Nice staff and great food
Brilliant little course limited seating
Had a really good day cant fault it
Cider and beer festival was great..
Always a nice day, even when the weather is like this.
I walk through it to get to the Lamb & Flag
A really nice day
I went here to have my flue jab 💉😊but it's right along side our wonderful river so always worth a visit
Brilliant plus non stop sun.
Circus was wonderful for my toddler
Easy to get to and plenty of parking.
Alright place to walk around. Horse betting is possible here.
Lovely racecourse, and good racing
Perfect for sunny riverside walks
Great staff shame I didn't back a winner
Great narrow boat mooring
Great place for running, walking
Went for ladies day and was great
Good racing friendly atmosphere. Traffic in and out challenging.
When for my flu jab
I just go here to walk my dog...
Fab toilets. ..not often said on race courses!!
Beautiful river walk
Excellent family day out
The main place I walk with my dog ...
Good night's racing!
Great day out for the family
Great circuit for cycling and running
Good days racing at a friendly price.
Great day so near the town and FREE PARKING (what a bonus) staff friendly and helpful food a little bit expensive but a great day out
Carpark right on the racecourse
Nice place to spend the day
Good place for walking
Covid and flu jabs
Great food great venue
Great for dog walking
Great day out on Ladys' day.
Great day out
Great day out for charity
Great day out
Lovely track with good viewing. Facilities a bit dated and access awkward
Great venue to watch horse racing in Worcestershire. Getting a pint can be difficult if you time it wrong, so be warned. Good atmosphere, especially if you are with friends.
Well organised event which was topped off with James Bay concert. Buildings look tired and needs investment
Need to look at the bars, customer service and range of drinks in particular. The place is rather tired and it is a shame not to maximize this
Love Worcester races on a sunny day, but please get that centre course reopened.
This is the first time I've been to the races so I was expecting Big things.... The hospitality staff were absolutely wonderful in the Severn restaurant, they are helpful and polite. Fantastic food and drink but very small portions.
Well done, it must of been hectic but you were all very professional.
However the housekeeping staff.....nowhere to be seen 🤷🏼 the toilets in the restaurant were disgusting. As seen in the photo. And when we've paid over £250 to use these services, I think we've been ripped off 😠
We and others made a complaint about the blocked toilet's, no running water and no paper to dry our hands but they did nothing.....
So will I be coming again, no. I will return to Worcester as it's a fabulous place.
Nice view of racing however the racecourse is outdated and needs refurbishment especially the weighing room
Just parked on pitchcroft to attend a canoe race so didn't vist the racecourse
Lovely evening racing. Great viewing course
We had a great day at the racecourse. The owners and trainers facilities are great with great food served.
Enjoyed the racing as always but the buildings look tired
Great time at the races themed Irish night at Worcester sadly they ran out of Guinness
Bit tired. Could do with some cash spending on it.
Pleasant day though.
First time wandering around the course with my dogs, nicely open, not too crowed, river not out of it's banks so the ground was "good to firm".
Coffee van by the grandstand and free parking at the North End car park. Its at the end of very narrow streets and get in early else it fills up.
Small amount of older buildings but a very nicely kept grass track
Attended worcester beer festival on the 10th of August, large selection of ales, ciders, and perrys, absolutely fantastic day, food stalls, and even a band on the evening in a marque with a dance floor, great!
I had a wonderful day at Worcester Horse Races in this historical city.
It was the first time I have been to the races and the people were helpful and friendly as it was all explained to me.
I totally recommend a visit and a walk around this city.
I'm not too much into horse racing yet i find myself coming here fairly often just for the space. Because this is a racing track, the area is always well kept and tidy. Great place to relax, go for a walk or running. For people looking for a quiet moment, the field is so big that there's always a secluded spot available, plus it's a great shortcut to get to Gheluvelt Park.
We circle the racecourse whilst on a dog walk as it is by the beautiful river Severn. The space is open, green and full of activity - such as walkers, joggers and cyclists.
First time to racing, fantastic day and atmosphere.
Racing and music.. Great fun
Good toilets, friendly staff and good range of food and drink
Never been to Worcester races, & not today either. Went there for my & my wife's flu jab, no cue, very helpful staff, even offered to get nurse to come out to give flu jab to wife in car if she couldn't walk the short distance from where we were allowed to park (20 ft from door). So get your flu jab from there so easy!
Had a great day, only disappointment was that at the end of the day some young people started fighting, which spoils things for everyone, police and security staff all arrived and took control but that behaviour doesn't belong where there are families. Well-done security for handling it well.
Nice place clean and fresh walk down the river
Quite small friendly race course in centre of town.
The Racecourse is a lovely facility. You are allowed to walk your dogs around it. We moored our narrowboat on the moorings adjacent. Theh cost £4 a day at a nearby car park. They desperately need a revamp as lots of the wooden bank rubber/fender has fallen off, just leaving bare concrete.
It's a nice place to walk or cycle around because it's flat and clean underfoot. There are some beautiful views and it's close to the city centre for shopping and eateries.
Came here the other day for the Worcester carnival parade. We also enjoy our time here even if its just for a walk by the water or a bike ride.
Was on a Coach going to Weston driver had to pick up some more people
Good Location from Train Station and decent racing though small fields, though lack of Bars meant queuing for 20-30 mins to get served as there was over 4,500 in the centre course, and barely 500 in the main area. Also lack of shade in the centre course on a very hot day.
Needs updating and drinks, food expensive. Had a good day out though.
Great experience, food fantastic in restaurants I would highly recommend
Really enjoyed our Raceday spirit with friends however disappointed they changed the tradition of Ladies Day which should have been instead to a normal meet just weeks beforehand.
Staff in the grounds were very polite and helpful at all times.
Due to Covid restrictions the Racecourse organisers would not permit anyone to bring own food or drink which personally is one big money making scam as I'd much rather take own food I'd prepared than buy off stall which was overpriced, Average food that they are handling my food!
Excellent location for all venues
I like the racing but facilities need updating. Ludlow get it right
The race coarse runs alongside the river, It's a great place to go and Its open all year round ,easy access for every walk of life. Give it a go you won't be disappointed
Great place for a walk or run (dogs best on a lead) , about 5km all the way round which is great. Shaded areas with benches by the river and sunny spots to sit on the grass. Horse racing also takes place here some weekends.
Had our wedding lunch for 41 here. Cannot rate them highly enough. All three courses served within 2 hours. Staff were amazing. Everything ran like clockwork. Food was all cooked perfectly and all served hot.
Have eaten here as a couple on two other occasions and were impressed enough to choose them for the wedding lunch.
Saw Tom Jones at the pitchcroft racecourse, he was great. Heatwave though. Couldn't find the free water, so bought some. Took a very long time to buy chips, over an hour, but they were the best chips ever.
Add a good day only problem not enough toilets
Amazing afternoon I totally recommend it!
Great morning, went to StepWays garden allotment after doing the 5k park run
Nice day out wit colleagues from work. It was my first time and I enjoyed it. I almost won 😂
LOVELY day out! had a great time a week or so ago, went with the little ones and won a bit of money too. Highly recommended but be sure to bring enough money for food, drinks and of course choose your horses wisely!
Really enjoyed our evening out here. Good racing average facilities in centre ring but for a 10er it is spot on. Beer was 4.70 a pint and the food is pricey. I noticed lots of people with their own food and drink including alcohol.
Attended the Irish race evening. Entrance staff were friendly and quick to check tickets and bags. Staff inside the venue were equally friendly. There is a variety of choice for food and drink, and had no problems finding somewhere to sit when required.
The weather was lovely but I am unsure of how much shelter there would be if it was wet.
Good day/evening out it's horse racing so not a lot to say. Ladies day is great fun and probably the busiest day of the year for them, hosts of the annual beer festival not organized by them though. They do a great bonfire night and fire works display which they have a fun fair attend also. Very popular but pricey
It was a really good day & I enjoyed the experience. However drinks and food were a bit on the expensive side as two pints cost £9, a bottle of chilled pink prosecco came in at £30 and a burger for lunch was £6. Other than that it was a great day out in Worcester and I would go there again!
Nice location next to river Severn and so good for walks and dogs. The race course grand stand and enclosure area is really looking tired and in need of an overhaul. Quite depressing to think of it being on television on race day and viewers thinking that's what Worcester is like...
Had nice day at races and staff were nice and friendly.
Main disappointments of day is
1) Course is in need of refurbishment.
2) Why need to pay for the reusable ‘glass’ most venues refund at end of day on return but not Worcester??
3) Bar staff, although more than enough serving, it was obvious they had little idea of what was required. Training staff on a busy race day was not ideal. Management at fault need to invest more on staff training.
Desperately needs renovation.
Very scruffy.
I had a really good time here, the race track is pretty nice and the quality of racing was also very good. One thing that let's this place down is the hospitality. I paid just over 20 quid for a round of drinks (4 drinks in total). They were poured by a kid whose clearly never been shown how to pour a pint of Guinness and they were all vile, to the point where I ended up drinking coffee for the latter part of the day. Not the staffs fault if they haven't been trained but even the Stella didn't taste like it should. One thing I will say though is that some of the staff are working tirelessly to keep the place looking nice, cleaning is always going on and it keeps the areas looking spotless and inviting. I like they layout too, everything you need isn't too far away and it's very easy to navigate around the course.
Was a great atmosphere here and a pleasure to see actual racegoers and not just the under 25s out to get as drunk/high as they can, as I've seen at some of the larger venues.
Overall, I had a good day, thank you for having us!
Fabulous day sun was shining could see horses running around the field only thing food drinks are dear cant take packed lunch with you or any drinks
Lovely racecourse and facilities for non members. Good car park for picnic before races start but leave plenty of time to get away afterwards as that side of things is very slow. Picturesque race course with plenty of runners. Good coffee stalls and ice-cream stalls. Always check before you go, just incase it is flooded, as course is by the river.
I went with my son kicking and screaming. I've always disliked horse racing for both moral and sporting reasons. However, I had a fab day for around £20 entrance, had a few bets with stakes from as low as 50p and totally enjoyed the day. Will definitely go again.
Excellent place, infrastructure and facility
Had a day out here as a gift & thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Easy to find. Would recommend. I am not a gambler & do not understand the betting, but came away with a little win & a really enjoyable day
We went here for the Cancer Research Race For Life, Sunday 14th July. First time of walking around pitchcroft, was a nice walk with well maintained paths to walk on that go all the way around the horse track. A good view of part of the River Severn on one side. All in all its a good place to get some quiet and breath some fresh air in a busy city. Would like to go there for a horse race in the future.
Excellent place for a walk but watch out for speed cyclists who have no 'path' safety sence & don't use their bells. Almost been knocked over 3 times latest time cyclist just managed to swerve in time to miss our little dog.
Lack of facilities in the centre of the course
First time here and we loved it came on a weekday race meet and everything was perfect. Reasonable priced beer and goo fun. Don't know what it be like on a Saturday race with more people there but was perfect for a midweek race.
I am always over here on a weekly basis a nice 2 mile radius to walk your dog. Plenty of other dogs around to socialise with if your dog is that way inclined. Or you can find a space and do your own thing.
Great experience very fun
went there for my Covid injection
Great place to go for a run, walk or cycle. Lovely path around the edge of the race course and along the river. Not a massive fan of the races, but there are a wide range of events that take place here year round.. Fares, circus, beer festival, bonfire night.
Nice day out at Worcester show
Worcester racecourse is a very pleasant place to spend a Summer's day watching horse racing. The racing is competitive, the refreshment facilities are good and there is a good racecourse betting shop to keep you occupied between races. The only problem was the length of time it took to get out of the car park after racing.
I've visited here twice for the 2013 and 2018 Worcester Beer Festival. As this was mainly just sitting on benches under a gazebo on the in-field and drinking beer served inside a large marquee I can't really comment on the rest of the racecourse of the facilities. It's handily located near to the centre of town and only a short walk for Worcester Foregate Street railway station, which is a plus. Many racecourses are not so well positioned in my experience.
Worcester Racecourse is situated along side of the river Severn. There are plenty of parking spaces for Racing followers and for those who enjoy a pleasent walk.
Nice racecourse
Great place great day
Set in the heart of the Worcester City Centre. know as Pitchcroft, a great place for walking, having a picnic to enjoying horse racing and fun fairs through out the year. Also the the location to the biggest firework display in the county (November 5th).
The race course is well looked after and always tidy and clean. Never a spot of litter in site.
The location also gives easy access to other parts of the city like Barbourne to Gheluvelt park, links to the river and just over the bright is St John's.
