My wife and I went for eye tests.All went very well and we were treated with courtesy and consideration and with a smile.I have a cataract in my left eye and was told I could leave my prescription for a year and see if I needed it removed at the end of the year. I decided to leave it till then as I were never really happy with my present glasses as the left lense was compensated for the cataract and was not that comfortable. We were both satisfied with our experience , thanks VE.

Came across Vision Express when hunting for a replacement set of sunglasses (puppy chewed the arm of my absolute fav set & I was heartbroken!) Good old google pointed me to V/E as they stocked them. I rang my local Bedford store and Naj kindly helped with my enquiry. I was delighted to learn that they had in stock an exact replacement pair & Naj kindly put them aside for me to collect later that afternoon. When I arrived at store I was greeted with a colleague (sorry I didn’t catch her name) who was equally as helpful & sure enough the glasses were behind the counter waiting for me! The service I received for an ad hoc purchase of a pair of sunglasses (from a store of which I wouldn’t of even of thought of) was absolutely brilliant from initial phone call to store pick up. Thank you Naj & your kind colleague. Would highly recommend Vision Express.

I have been going to Vision Express since I first moved to Bedford in 2005. They always have given me excellent service and quality of products. My opticians (there are a couple of different ones) have always been extremely thorough and professional, and they have seen me through so many changes (from cataracts to glaucoma) over the years. Combined with the care I get from Moorfield's Eye Clinic (for my glaucoma and dry eyes), I feel I am very well looked after.

My first visit to Vision Express and I was not disappointed. I’ve knocked off one star as there was a lot of confusion when I arrived over whether I actually had an appointment booked and whether it was glasses or contact lenses, despite having checked by phone about 40 minutes earlier. This meant I had quite a long wait and there wasn’t an explanation of what had gone wrong. Having got that out of the way, the test was thorough and the site felt very Covid safe. The optician offered sensible advice and listened to me carefully. An improvement on my last optician so I will definitely be using Vision Express going forward.

I think how the store have adapted to the corona guidelines are spot on. When I arrived for contact lens appointment I wasn't aware I had to make 2 appointments online so therefore I only made 1 appointment, the optician sorted it out for me but otherwise I would of had to go back again another day. Also the optician I saw said that she will send a trial of lenses straight to my home address but I then get a call a few days later asking if I want to go and collect them from the store or sent to home address, I'd already previously said I want them to home address. I wanted to order more lenses so I went online where it said I was able to order them, I filled out my prescription and payment details and received an email to say that they need to verify my prescription before they take payment, I waited a week and still hadn't received any email or contact lenses so contacted customer services, the lady said that the payment wasn't taken, why didn't I receive an email or phone call to explain what has happened? Alot of wasted time so really disappointed with the service.

Very quick and efficient. Took my prescription in, chose my frames, ordered the requisite number of frames, paid for them and then out. Took less than 10 minutes. Very impressed. Well done Chris.

I went in during lockdown, very clean and safe and professional team. Optometrist was extremely quick and they changed my prescription and Chris was really helpful and cheery which really brightened up my day and went out of his way to make sure I got the frames I wanted. First time there and I’ll definitely be returning!

I was excited about watching the Euro Final with great hopes that England might do it at last but suddenly on Sunday the nylon retainer thread on my glasses snapped and my lens dropped out!☹️ How was I going to watch the match? It was 2pm and Vision Express were closing at 4pm. I raced into town and spoke to Jason and Shafikh in the shop. They didn’t think there was any way they could fix my glasses that day because they were very busy but if I left the broken item with them they would make sure they got it done the following day. They were very sorry that my match watching would be affected. I trudged home disappointed but then Jason called me and said they had done an emergency repair and my glasses were good to go! I raced back to the shop and thanked the guys profusely. The wonderful team at Vision Express had come to my rescue! Sadly penalties let us down again but at least was I was able to join in the experience…through my fingers! 😂. Thank you Jason, Shafikh and the team…you went above and beyond and it is truly appreciated.

I damaged my glasses badly last Saturday and went to my local Vision Express in Bedford, I was looked after by Christopher, who in my opinion went the extra mile to ensure I left with a pair of glasses.
