Eric has a warm and relaxed manner which made me feel at ease and he was so helpful in explaining the findings and implications of the assessment. Stephanie provided fantastic advice on choosing the right frames and always made me feel welcome when I arrived. I have already recommended them to relatives who have also had a very positive experience and will continue to spread the word about this great practice.
E.Eric Mercer is an exceptional optician. Eye tests with him are always very thorough and his practice is equipped with all the latest technology. He is an optician who believes in giving the best service and he keeps up with the latest developments in optometry, having ongoing training to be informed of new findings and treatments. He takes time to talk through and explain any queries or concerns I have. I wear daily disposable contact lenses and when I need to order new sets, all I have to do is send him a message on the website and he orders them that day and posts them to my door. So simple, so convenient and, in a world where things are getting ever more complicated, Eric takes all the stress out of this transaction. I can't recommend him highly enough.
n.Eric took me in last minute for an eye exam as I was experiencing discomfort in my left eye.
His service was great, and he creates such a professional yet friendly and welcoming environment.
I was in and out very quickly, sent off with a treatment that helped within a couple of days. I will 100% be returning to him in the future.

W.I needed proper professional advice for my eyesight as I was not happy with the large well known High Street retail outlet and it's service levels and diagnosis of my eyes that I'd been attending in the past or indeed the NHS Opthalmology Dept I was attending On attending this optician I was put at ease by the receptionist which was nice as well as the optician which is rare these days Once in the chair I got every conceivable test that I needed which ultimately reassured me I was in good hands and had chosen the right optician The optician ascertained what was going on with my eyes and vision and advised accordingly I got the glasses I needed with way better lenses and a massive sharper improvement in my vision So yes very happy I attended It also gave great value for the service received I would absolutely recommend them If your looking to get your eyesight sorted then go to Eric Mercer Opticians..

I have long been a customer of Specsavers, and years ago I tried to find contact lenses that agreed with me to no joy. I’m getting married soon as wanted some for my wedding day so thought about taking a different approach.
Eric was extremely thorough, he took a long time to talk me through my options, in an very friendly and personable manner. I have to say I was very impressed and happy and would wholeheartedly recommend my friends and family to come here for their own eye tests in the future.
