I simply cannot stress enough the extraordinarily high level of professionalism, expertise and customer service I received from Sam on my first visit to any optician for many years. I had a bit of a unique issue and Sam pursued (and found) a resolution with extreme attention and care. After commenting that I had an interesting pair of eyes he said he was enjoying the puzzle of figuring it out. This a man who has long mastered his craft and is still able to find enjoyment and pride in his work. A rarity and something I am extremely grateful for. Thank you Sam.

It is not very often that I write a review in fact I think this is my first and brilliant customer service is what prompted me to do so. Whether just observing the interaction between customers and staff or being on the receiving end of it I felt there was a genuine above and beyond the call of duty approach from all of the staff including Sam Baird . Brilliant with my daughter Sophie 13 as she transitioned from glasses to learning how to wear contact lenses and very patient with me as we journeyed through getting the right contact lenses for myself. Giving this sort of customer service is priceless. Thanks

It's been my first time here today. I do wear glasses and previously went to a chain branch. Helen who was the optician I saw, did not try to push me to buy glasses as there was no need. I like to get my eyes tested on a yearly basis rather than two years and my current glasses are only a year old. Will be back next year. It's true independent opticians are better than large chain organisations.

I have previously been very happy with the service from this branch but my last experience in April 2016 was a bit of a let down. I have made at least 3 requests for copies of my prescriptions (which I'm legally entitled to) and as of 4th June 2016 I still have not received them. On each occasion I asked for them I was promised they would be posted out to me. Good opticians and helpful friendly staff but don't pay for anything until they can hand over a copy of the prescription for glasses and contact lenses.

I went in today to get glasses for my daughter and the 2 women couldn't of be nicer to her and made a big fuss of her as she didn't want glasses and she came away all happy she's getting glasses now. So a big thank you for making her feel special :) xx 5*

Got my eyes tested this morning staff very helpful and while the eye test is costs £25 compared to some of the bigger guys - in my opinion it’s done with a bit more care and time I had my eye tested with Specsavers two years ago and they got it wrong it was like a meat factory

Have used this practice for many years now and have to say the service and staff are excellent. I have always received a personal friendly welcome by the staff who make me feel I am not just a paying customer. Have recommended friends and family over the years and like me they all receive the same friendly courteous treatment and can't praise the staff and service highly enough.
