It's difficult to review as somethings they do very well, but not others have mixed experiences. Not answering phones and calling back is a significant issue, especially when you need to speak sooner rather later. It feels very sales oriented now, like the targets and numbers are more important than the customer.

Went in with my daughters broken glasses today... sure she was going to need a new pair as they were very damaged. The man took them away.. within a few minutes had repaired them. Always very polite and never have a problem.

I do believe I owe specsavers, Swan Centre, Yardley an apology. It seems I may have got my glasses, old and new mixed up. Originally when I returned to specsavers with the damage glasses, I was told the frames were from 2019 and not covered by the warranty. I assumed it was old stock. Speaking to Dee today. The glasses I thought I brought in October 2021 were actually my old glasses from 2019. My new one I must have put in the old case. Dee explained it in away that made sense. If this was explained to me in this way in the beginning, would have saved a lot of fuss. Apologies to specsavers.

It was my first time visiting Specsavers and I loved my experience. The staff are all lovely and welcoming. My optician was great as well and their service was quick and precise. My only complaint is about their prices and offers. For example, buy two for £69 can be very confusing. It took me a while to understand what I could have and couldn't, in that £69 pound. In the end I had to pay £69 for each of them because I asked for light protection glasses. They need to simplify the offers so customers can understand easily. But overall, it was excellent experience and I would go to them again for any eye examination in the future.

Very patient and helpful staff. The optometrist took the time to explain the images and retinal scans I had, they cost extra but are reassuring at my age. The optician spent time going through my options and explained everything. Very thorough and professional.

Have been going here for years now and the staff are extremely professional. Recently took my autistic daughter who can get very anxious, and I let them know about her when I booked the appointment. Every single member of staff who we contact with in the practice was so understanding and patient and explained every detail to her and she actually said she didn't feel especially nervous at all while we were there. The best optical sevice I have used. Good service and choice of frames. Exceptional service from Dr Raj, a true professional who carries out his duty with complete dedication. Always friendly and affords time for his patient. He is a credit to his profession and Specsavers. I would not go elsewhere again.

First time using Specsavers. Easy to set up appointment online and got seen to in reasonable time. Optician was excellent, making sure to check things properly, reassuring me by explaining process and giving opportunity for questions. Found a problem with my eye and didn't hesitate to refer me to hospital to check on same day. Only reason for 4 stars is that prices should be clear right from the start and the first person who does the basic eye test was rushing for no reason.

Excellent Eye test Fri am (a young lady Optometrist) she was brilliant, the best eye test I've had, and I've worn glasses for 30 + years. We discussed the process and finding and what precautions that are needed to keep my eye sight healthy now and for the future. Store was safe, hand sanitizers and staff all wearing masks and PPE. Glasses you tried on didn't go back onto display until they had been cleaned. They were put into a separate box once handled. The store had a great choice of designs and frames, price starting from only £19. Would definitely recommend this branch.

A Nice and clean place. They have a great selection of glasses at reasonable prices, the staff members are very polite and helpful, and always around. The seating area is quite small which can at times get crowded, the staff try their best to get customers looked at, as quickly as possible. It can be difficult to make an appointment for a diabetes screening. All in All the only optometrist I'd ever go to. I even got my family members to register there.

Very helpful and supportive. If there is a frame you like, they are more than happy to order it into the store as well. Where u had to wait from 4 to 7 weeks for a pair of glasses with Boots Options, I received my glasses within 7 days from here on two different occasions.

I have been going to boots for years. After paying a lot of money for glasses there ( I have a high prescription) I decided to try Specsavers as I have been in to look at frames and they seemed to have a great selection. I had to wait a while to get served but it WAS a Saturday and it gave me time to mooch around. The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and helped me pick the right frame to give me a great look aesthetically. When I picked the glasses up I was not disappointed! Aesthetically they look as good as my boots ones ( slightly different lens choice ) and were £200 cheaper. On collection the lady was also super helpful and attentive. Will definitely be returning!!!!

Friendly, polite and accommodating staff. I went in today to enquire about nose pads for my glasses as one side has fallen off. The lady who served me was good enough to liaise with a colleague to allow the replacement to be carried out free of charge! The glasses were not even from Specsavers. Only took 5 minutes. I have mixed feelings on this opticians. The opticians seem very good, picked up on some scarring that previous opticians hadn't. On the whole customer service is good but I do feel pounced upon when trying on glasses and they do try and push up sells onto you. Smaller selection of frames than I would have liked, good easy parking and clean store. However a lady called Geraldine who answers the phone is dreadful, speaks over you, shouts loudly down the receiver and doesn't listen. She is very rude and both myself and my mum have had this issue when calling. I had to stop her and ask her to listen to me and stop talking over me. I certainly wouldn't have her answering phones in my business, she is enough to put potential customers off.

This is not my regular opticians but I had a concern with my eye one morning so I came out of hope to be possibly seen here to get my eye checked out. I needn't have worried from the very first contact to meeting the optician, I received the best of service from every member of staff there & they also picked up on a couple things that my optician has never picked up over the last few years. I'm pretty sure this is going to be my new optician from now on.

I have had the pleasure of visiting the Yardley store on 3 separate occasions. First visit was for routine checkups, for my 4 children. Subsequent visits were for my wife and I, as well as picking up prescription glasses. We were called a day in advance on all occasions to remind us of our bookings. Right from ingress the staff make you feel welcomed, and use this opportunity to introduce themselves and book you in. After initial screening, we saw 2 different Optometrists across the three visits. The store was very busy (3 consecutive Saturdays) but waiting time was minimal. I had the pleasure of meeting Raj today who couldn’t have been helpful enough. You will have to forgive our ignorance, the lady Optometrist who saw my wife and children was also fantastic. Both well informed and knowledgable, and include you in the decisions about the healthcare of your eyes. I also had the opportunity to see pictures of my eyes. Although my sight is good I was given advice that was very beneficial and was in line with my other health issues. Staff were well informed about the products displayed and helped us make informed decisions. Prices were calculated before we purchased to assist with our budget. Collections was also seamless. We received SMS messages to confirm when they were ready (7 separate products all within a week). My review may sound like a sales pitch but the service really was fantastic. We were served by Abdel today who helped my wife pick a set of frames (He has the patience of a saint). Courteous and helpful is an understatement ! The staff here really are a credit to the management !

Very slow service even when not so busy. Eye tests can take over 90 minutes due to waiting around. Not really setup up for kids, as the wait can be difficult.

I took my 6 year old for his first ever eye test today at 4.30, the lady who dealt with him (I wish I had took her name as she deserves praise for such a good job) was absolutely amazing with him, she played games, chatted with him, made him laugh and made the whole experience enjoyable so much so he wants to go back again for something that actually would have been quiet boring if it wasn't for this lady putting in an amazing amount of effort with him

Located inside the Swan Shopping Centre this branch is one of the smaller stores. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to give you advice on anything you may need. On booking my last eye test the member of staff was polite and informative.

I visited Specsavers Yardley insode the Swan centre on Sunday. I must say all the staff we're so professional along side that I felt so at ease with all the special measures & effort they have put into place to prevent Covid 19. All staff had aprons, face masks on & chairs were all at a distance, aswell as cleaning areas throughout once it had been used. I was very impressed, Well done all at Specsaver Yardley!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I had a wonderful customer experience at Specsavers Yardley. From the moment I stepped through the door for my eye test appointment on Saturday 2/4/22 I was made to feel welcome and helpfully guided through the whole process by the lovely staff. Covid safety was adhered to at all times. The optician today was Muhona. She had cleaned the consulting room ready for my test, she was so friendly and helpful and explained each part of the process thoroughly and made me feel at ease. Following the test Shazia guided me through the frame selection process and was so helpful and friendly and assisted in my selection of prescription sunglasses as well as regular glasses. I usually use Specsavers in Solihull but the staff at Yardley made my experience so enjoyable I shall recommend it to everyone. Fabulous staff and great service.

The store is always very busy, loud and hectic with no clear instruction as to what is going on. I have a learning disability and various physical health conditions, the store is more than capable of meeting my physical health needs (eg. a downstairs appointment) but they don't meet my other non-physical needs (eg. an unconfined waiting space). All that being said, the staff are always very friendly, polite, hard working and the store is well lit, clean and user friendly.
