The most SPECtacular Optician's practice in Birmingham! (the pun, had to be made haha) We can definitely see why the Spectacle Emporium are award winners! The owners are not only a delight to work with; the practice is also filled with the most amazing selection of frames. Pulling the customer away from the generic acetate plastic frames found in most high street stores, and introducing the customer to a range of exciting handmade eye-wear from frames with bold colours and designs, to others made out of natural materials carved into styles to suit all people from the reserved to the out-going. My husband and I chose to visit this particular practice, in hope that they can bring a more exciting variety and options. For you see, hubby has a high myopic prescription, his frame choice has always been very limited. But during his visit, Janan was able to guide and advise after listening to what he would like, and WOW! during an un-hurried consultation, hubby settled on a lovely style which he has never had before, and the lenses are not bulky either, thanks to Janan's expertise, in choosing appropriate frames to improve the aesthetics of lenses in the frame! The whole experience from booking the initial appointment, to collecting the spectacles has been amazing and seamless. Thank you very much Mr and Mrs Choudhury! For your hospitality and good eye for style! I am personally excited and pleased, and I can't wait for my turn! I love quirky and unusual specs!

Amazing glasses experience. I always hated buying glasses as I can never usually find a suitable pair, then when I do I get the up sell on every product going. Not here, Janan was really helpful, no pressure selling tactics and helped me find a pair that actually suited my face and which I love. Fabulous service and choice of glasses. I didn’t feel rushed or part of a process as I have felt in other glasses shops.It was a great experience from choosing to fitting and am super happy with my new glasses so much so I plan to go back and choose a second pair as a Christmas present to my self !! Great help even though i wasn’t looking for spectacles. Called to ask about finding experience to work in optics and was greeted with a warm and welcoming voice and was given great help and guidance. Compared to other stores and staff members from the high street stores. I wear specs so I will go in store soon and to find a pair of special made spectacles.

I visited the Spectacle Emporium as I have recently been diagnosed with a nickel allergy/eczema around my eyes and cannot wear eye make up. This has been an issue for me, and I wondered if investing in a pair of unusual artisan spectacles might be the answer. I phoned the Spectacle Emporium and spoke to Janan, who immediately put me at ease and felt he could help me. I made an appointment for the following week and my husband and I met with Janan who advised and suggested styles and colours from his wide range that would compliment my style, colouring and personality, without ‘overloading’ me with too many unsuitable choices (as is often the way with many high street opticians). He was knowledgeable and patient and also advised how bespoke lenses could make a difference too. I received a wonderful professional yet friendly service, in a comfortable unpressurised atmosphere from Janan and his family. There was no rush - the whole experience was a pleasure. My spectacles were ready within a couple of weeks. I am so happy with them, I cannot stop smiling when I wear them! I would not hesitate to recommend Janan and the Spectacle Emporium to anyone needing advice and guidance to make the right decision - or indeed anyone seeking quality spectacles with quality service. Initially I was just after a pair of Kirk & Kirk glasses as I had my heart set on one in particular. However, entering the shop and browsing through the shelf's I noticed there were quite a big selection of very sophisticated glasses on show. Majority of the glasses were superb for the quality of money and shops atmosphere is great. The staff were very helpful in helping me find my ideal glasses. They recommend me to go for a pair of one of their best sellers from the Tavat section. At first I was a bit sceptical as I really wanted the Kirk & Kirk, but after comparing the two together I preferred the Tavat more due to the design and the extreme thiness of the lenses. All the prescription glasses sold by Spectacle Emporium all come with anti-glare and Hard-coating included as Standard! Which was an extra reassurance for myself as I spend majority of my day communiting to work by car and this helps me tremendously. Overall very satisfied with the glasses and the fancy box it comes with. Definitely will recommend friends and family👍
