Really impressed with the service at this store. Asked them to adjust frames of a pair from an alternative provider who had failed after 7 attempts. Vanessa spent a lot of time with me to ensure they fitted the best they could. I was made very welcome. Decided to book in for a full check with them; David was very thorough and fully explained each step. I've subsequently spoken with Megan and Amy who were very helpful and spent time with me as an individual. The quality of this team is evident as soon as you walk in.

Visited for sight test:- was warmly greeted by Vanessa who efficiently carried out the pre screening tests. Nuha the optician was so kind, explaining every step with me. As I needed a new prescription Vanessa helped me choose new frames. She identified quickly the style that best suited my face, & was honest if a style was right which I valued. On collecting the new glasses Brogan was very helpful. Yet again I have to compliment this team on their warm, courteous & helpful service.

It was for a routine eye test, I was greeted by a young lady who was very polite and professional, especially in these difficult times during COVID. A special thankyou to Megan, Barzi and Sofiane, who were particularly helpful with making me feel comfortable and helped choosing my frames and there was no pressure as I took my time, making sure I found the right glasses. Had my routine check up recently. Amy had helped me with the scans of my eyes in a professional manner and I wouldn’t of known she started a few weeks back if she hadn’t told me. Brogan the manager and person who ran the sight test had a good sense of humour and same mind alike! (Think of the gains!) oh and the eye test was fine. During selection of a new pair of glasses Amy and Andy helped me choose which pair were best suited for my face and style wise. Had an eye test for myself here last week. First time in several years so was long overdue. I was looked after first by Brogan who was lovely and friendly. Sofiane was brilliant and really thorough but explained everything to me as he was doing the eye test and Megan was brilliant in helping me find a pair of glasses that suited my face and finalising everything for my new glasses.

I have used this branch of boots after being several years to the branch in poole town. I Love coming here as im treated with so much respect by All the team. Due to an illness with eye involvement i am difficult to help sort glasses out with. Sofiane took me thru every test with ease where after he passed me to his colleagues Barzi and Megan. They helped me choose great frames at an affordable price, (im picky Lol). Everything ran smooth from ordering to me collecting my glasses a week later, i tried them all on and they were perfect. I had the misfortune of damaging my glasses while visiting family in Bournemouth, fortunately I had seen on the drive in a branch of Boots Opticians. I had bought my glasses from my local branch in Somerset. I visited this branch and asked if they could help me as i didn't have my spare pair with me. The young lady, puctured above, I spoke to could not have been more understanding and helpful. I nipped across the road for a cuppa and by the time I returned my glasses were as good as new. Totally outstanding service and a great credit to the ethos of the company and the empathy of the staff.

Had as appointment for eye test after cataract surgery. I really felt comfortable that the test was extremely thorough and with the help of the wonderful team there ordered three pairs of glasses. Everyday, readers and sunglasses. Very patient while I chose the frames especially as everyone I tried on had to be cleaned! Booked my eye test here as had had such wonderful, caring and supportive service when I brought my Son in for his eye test and glasses and again with my daughter the following year. Just been for an eye test here and the staff were so lovely! Rebecca did my first checks and was so friendly, she helped me pick my glasses which I normally prefer to just pick on my own but she put me at complete ease and helped me pick a pair that I love which I would never of normally picked up on my own. I went to this branch today for an eye test and saw Optometrist Claire, along with Bea and Beth. They were all so helpful, polite, patient, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and my appointment felt calm and unhurried. I had been a bit apprehensive beforehand due to the current pandemic, but I needn't have worried. I walked into this branch of Boots Opticians on the off chance of them being able to repair my glasses. I was greeted and welcomed in by two of their staff and Lewis confidently assured me he could repair my glasses whilst I waited for 5 minutes. We all chatted whilst he carried out the repair and made me feel very welcome despite not having an appointment. I asked how much I owed them on completion of the repair and was told there was no charge even when it was another branch I had purchased my glasses from. I will certainly be going to this friendly branch in the future for my eye tests and glasses.

My eye test was carried out by Claire & my prescription dispensed by Becky initially and upon return to collect my glasses, by Tonya. I found the whole process to be satisfactory & although part of my eye test had to be completed upon collection due to faulty equipment the staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I have been very pleased with the new specs and how well they worked for me that I decided to make use of the half price offer for a 2nd pair. I do a lot of driving and sought advice on what would work best. It was a pleasant surprise with the dispenser Sharon sought the advice of Jack the optometrist who had tested my eyesight previously. I was given ample time to try on lots of different types and shapes of frames and at the same time advised what would work best with my prescription. Having made a selection Becky the manager checked with me that everything was to my satisfaction. It was just a week later when I had a pleasant phone call from Beth to say that they were ready and to make an appointment. It was good to see that all the again all staff took social distancing seriously and thoroughly cleaned the desk area between customers. Sharon carefully fitted my glasses and made several adjustments until they were just right. It was sunny when I drove home, and I was very pleased with the tinted polarised lenses. Distracting reflections on the windscreen were eliminated and the whole world was in super sharp focus. Well done Boots Wallisdown Road. I am not keen on eyesight testing and was a little apprehensive when I went along for a booked appointment. It was nice to be welcomed by name and this professional but friendly service continued for the entire visit. Social distancing was maintained, and good detail given to the cleaning and preparation of equipment. Jack the optometrist gave explanations about every aspect of the test as he went on. Jack then took the time to brief Sharon (Dispenser) about the exact details of my prescription and what options should be considered. The process of selecting new spectacles was unhurried and numerous options explained in detail. Becky the manager completed a final check and I am confident that I had the best service a customer could wish.

My daughter and I saw Helen here today, She is really excellent, I've had a number of app'ts with her over the past coupe of years for a tricky contact lens prescription, can't rate her highly enough. She is very professional and friendly same time, explains rationale for decisions clearly, and great with children. Highly recommended! I have been coming to this opticians through its change of branding from child to adult, and they have always been brilliant. I went in to have my eyes checked over as had been having issues with soreness and increasing demand for use of my glasses. Jack my optometrist put me at ease and picked up on things that hadn't been noticed before, and immediately gave me suggestions for treatment, follow ups, and changes to prescription. Then Lewis my dispenser and frames stylist made the next part of the process enjoyable and straightforward. Can't wait to collect my 2 new pairs of glasses! On entering the premises I was welcomed even though I didn't have an appointment. A member of staff listened intently to me and took the particulars of my symptoms. I was seen by the optician very quickly who diagnosed a detached retina. Helen rang the eye department at the hospital, an appointment was made for the next day. I had an emergency operation. After the very thorough eye exam Lewis, the Dispenser, spent at least 30 minutes helping me decide on a frame style that suited me. I took my son to have an eyes test recently. All of staff were nice friendly and helpful . Especially Optometrist-Clair & Dispenser -Lewis . Because my son has very long eyelashes ,his eyelashes were easy to touch the lens when the glasses were put on .It gave Lewis more difficult time when he was choosing the frame for my son . He tried 6 or 7 glasses totally . Finally Lewis found one glasses which was ok for my son but he had to cut apart of frame to make a new angle and suited for my son . Lewis was very patient and professional with my son . I was really appreciate with him .

The optician I saw was great; professional, thorough, helpful and polite. He took the time to answer the questions I had and explain the science behind my eye issues. For this part of the service I would gladly give 5 stars. However only 3 stars because Boots Glasses are so ridiculously expensive! I was able to find a better fitting frame, with all the lens upgrades Boots quoted me, for £295 cheaper at a major competitor. The quality of glasses and customer service I received at the competitor was just as good, so I don't see why I should spend nearly £300 more with Boots.
