I had self funding cataract surgery in 2014 with excellent results. When my optician recommended cataract surgery on my other eye, based on my previous experience, I decided to contact Mr Ramchandani with a view to him operating on my second. I had the operation in February following a short wait. From initial appointment to the follow up appointment is was a very caring & professional Experience. I am extremely happy with the excellent result.

Everything went smoothly through the initial consultation, the operation, the recovery weeks, and the final check out, and there were no delays. Mr Ramchandani procedure on my left eye was second to none, I hardly felt a thing. On the right eye I felt it more but no worse than going to the dentist for a filling. Care at the Nuffield I was a little disappointed with I received someone else's discharge sheet and one of the medications was for the same person the first time, but second time care was superb

I have recently had two cataract operations carried out by Mr Mahesh Ramchandani. I found the whole experience to have been efficiently and sensitively managed. All the requirements were thoroughly assessed and he explained the details most carefully. My extreme nervousness at any eye operation was resolved using sedation (and avoiding a general anaesthetic) and I have no memories at all of the procedures - for which I am extremely grateful. My resulting distance sight is now as near to perfect as possible and for the first time in nearly 60 years I will only need glasses for reading and close work. Despite additional restrictions due to pandemic controls, arrangements were carefully managed by the team at the Nuffield Hospital and completed to my entire satisfaction.

From having so little vision that he had to give up driving his sight is now restored to such a level that he does not need spectacles for anything except very small print! Cateract Operation at Nuffield Bournemouth with Mr Ramchandani was very efficient, from paperwork and eyedrops to theatre and out in under an hour from my arrival. Another hour recovery time with tea and a sandwich, before i was on my way. No potential side effects at all, no pain, and clear sight again.
