Following my recent need for reading glasses on top of my already high prescription and my Mum's diagnosis of cataracts and Glaucoma I decided to take the plunge and go for a consultation for corrective surgery. The staff at the Brighton branch were fantastic. I never once got the hard sell, the exam and consultation was calm, respectful and professional and the information clear. I left feeling really reassured that my eyes are healthy and the choice about surgery was entirely mine. I have decided not to go ahead at present and instead have a new appreciation for my eyes, just as they are. If, or when, I am ready I would not hesitate to come back here. Compliments to everyone for making an experience I was quite anxious about into something so positive.

Visited optical express today and the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I went to for a consultation for either laser or replacement lenses. After spending a decent amount of time with me they did not try and sell their service, but in fact in my situation they said they would not recommend a corrective procedure as my eyes would not benefit fully at this point in my life. I left appreciating the honesty and integrity the staff and eye specialist showed. I am certain I will go back in the future when my eyesight starts to struggle. Thank you again

Fantastic experience from 1st consultation, to having LASEK at Harley St & my follow ups with the Brighton clinic. Brighton staff were great during the follow ups, answering all my questions (which i had a lot of following surgery). 10/10 its a cliché but wish i had laser eye surgery years ago.

When I arrived for my assessment, Debbie made me very welcome.She was very friendly & explained the procedures very clearly. When I went in for my eye tests, Chandri was also very friendly & welcoming. She explained everything clearly & answered all my questions. I decided to proceed with the surgery. This decision was helped by the fact that these 2 ladies were very professional, and obviously knew their jobs well. I felt in very good ( & safe ) hands !! Thank you to you both.

Thank you Optical Express. The whole experience has been extremely positive from the first consultation right through to the procedure, the final result and the aftercare provided by the fantastic staff at Optical Express in their Brighton office. I have just had my three monthly follow-up appointment and the iLASIK iDesign procedure has been a complete success. The proof of the pudding will be when I go snowboarding in two weeks' time and maybe more so when I go skydiving in a couple of months, I'm sure it's going to be fantastic to see the world clearly with my new dramatically improved vision. Some of the best customer service I have ever received. Answer all of your questions, no matter how small or silly. Very knowledgeable and very informative. The surgery went well and I just wish I had done it sooner!

On seeing Optical Express Poster i decided that I wanted rid of my glasses and hopefully have 20/20 vision. The Brighton office is busy and after completing a online health form I was seen by Ophthalmologist Chandri Patel, who I must say was professional and concise. Her verdict was that I am not a candidate for surgery as I would not benefit and to come back in 5-8 years. I respected Dr Patel findings as honest and true. Two days later I received an email and 2 phone calls from Claire Donnelly, offering me Refractive Surgery after she had reviewed my notes, this is a customer service agent telling me I am suitable for Surgery. Dr Chandri Patel said I was not suitable, so why does a customer service agent say I am, Money not suitability. This is not a good policy Optical Express, that untrained agents make this decisions.

Staff knew what they were doing and explained everything clearly. My operation was done in Bluewater with a very reassuring surgeon and took a total of about 8 minutes and I am now recovering quickly, as planned. At times some staff were a bit cold but over all I had a good experience.

Outstanding customer service, Debbie has really turned this place around and gave me all the help i needed prior to my surgery. The optometrist Chandni was also very informative, so much so that i booked with her again at the crawley branch where Debbie also works part of the week.

Free eye test with voucher, nice enough experience. The front door to the building is annoying, and the door to the exam room is paper thin so everyone's conversations can be heard both ways. No problems with staff on my visit.
