Friendly, considerate service, attention to detail. Thank you to Steve and Helen for providing a first class service. My eyes are challenging, with a range of issues, and I wanted to keep my own frames, so not the easiest customer. Whilst adjusting to my new glasses I went back with questions, and was given time and attention to make sure I was happy with my new glasses including a second eye check to make certain the first check-up had been accurate (it was). I have been reassured at every step and very happy indeed with the quality of the Zeiss lenses. Will go back.

They have been looking after me for about 10 years. Always a professional, knowledgeable and friendly service. They’re done everything from fitting a lost screw to saving my vision when I went to them with what turned out to be a retinal issue. They were very happy to and took good care of my Mum too when she came to the UK to visit me. Now I’m moving away I can only hope to find somewhere as good. Thanks for everything!

What a wonderful opticians. Having known one of the practitioners socially and used this practice for decades I can only say I would never go anywhere else for my optical needs. During the pandemic their standards and cleaning regime is exemplary. Everything touched by the public, including frames brought in for repair or adjustment, is sterilised for half an hour. This means some things take longer but I’d rather be Covid free. Unfortunately during my visit several people did not appear for their test which must be frustrating and in these trying times costs them money. I understand that if two appointments are missed without giving notice they are removed from the patient list. How rude must some people be to not give that common courtesy. I’ve always had a really thorough eye exam using very modern high tech equipment. Helen Tippet is always so calm and explains everything clearly. There is a wonderful range of frames to chose from. My current frames from them are the nicest I’ve ever had.

I have been so impressed with Dury and Tippett. I collected my glasses from them last week and was amazed by the range of stock, the fitting equipment and the helpful staff, absolutely no pressure selling whatsoever. A week later and my 1 year old had bent them completely out of shape (will teach me for leaving them in his reach) but the team at Dury and Tippett have repaired them and asked that rather than paying them I donate money to Guide Dogs Charity. 100% recommend.

I am absolutely delighted with my new reading glasses. I have been using Dury and Tippett for over 25 years and this is one optician practice that doesn’t rest on its laurels. On every visit improvements have been made to the equipment available to ensure you get a really thorough eye test. Helen who delivers the eye test itself is always so patient and calm. All the staff are friendly and helpful before, during and after the test. The range of frames must be second to none with new quality ranges being added all the time it seems. And best of all - they are dog friendly so I don’t need to leave my dog on the car or tied outside!

Ignore the negative reviews, this optician is one of the best on the planet. Don't want to pay their prices ? Then go to a cheap chain but bear in mind u get what u pay for. I have a very difficult sight correction and they are the only optician that has got it right. Another optician beginning with B were useless too by the way.

In the area for a holiday and our (2 year old) daughter's glasses got 'crunched' during bouncy play a couple of days ago. These opticians were incredibly helpful today in sorting the glasses out: straightening the arms and adjusting the pads to balance the glasses. Thank you Dury & Tippett, much appreciated.

Wonderful practice. Quirky environment, with a jukebox to boot. My optician Helen is patient and helpful as is the dispensing optician Steve. Emma was very helpful when choosing a frame to suit me from the huge selection of gorgeous frames that you don't see in other opticians.
