After a depressing visit to Vision express who seemed unable to give any advice at all, I wandered down to Specsavers and what a difference. T he lady who helped me was so attentive, thoughtful and knowledgeable. We arrived at a choice of 3 pairs which she kindly priced up. With the offers they have, it was at a price I felt I could afford. But what I was most impressed with was how helpful and patient she was and how much advice she was able to give me.

I am absolutely delighted with the exceptional, professional service this team has provided. I damaged 2 pairs of glasses and popped in as an offchance to see if they could be straightened and repaired. Instantly these guys were on it pointing out that the damage i had caused may make them un- repairable but they would have a go at fixing them for me. I appreciated their honesty yet these guys were willing to try for me. After a short wait Anusha fixed them and carefully made sure they fitted perfectly. Its such a joy to be able to see unhindered. I already got my prescription glasses with this store and intend to only repeat prescription glasses at this store when my next prescription is due. So a big thankyou to this great team. I would highly recomend to friends & family & anyone who reads this review. Thanks again guys !!!

Brought 2 pairs of glasses ready for my holiday, had to take them back for fitting. Now abroad for another 6 weeks and one pair have made my nose very sore and the other pair are maki d above my ear sore so im struggling. Keep swapping them to ease the pain. Really fed up with both pairs

Very friendly and happy to take her time and talk through everything without rushing us into a decision. Amazing service earlier today. My 5yr old had misplaced his glasses and we’d come down to Bristol on holiday. Knowing that he can’t see properly without glasses, we popped in and spoke to Rahul who got us a new pair of glasses to collect an hour later. Thanks to Rahul and Mark Duffy for sorting everything for us, allowing my son to be able to see whilst we are on holiday. Hopefully we won’t need to come back again - but if we’re ever in the area again, we know where to come

Just returned my glasses to Specsavers at Cribbs Causeway because the arms were pressing into my head (making tram line’s)they were far to tight,I had no problem changing my frames.The young lady who served me was very very helpful,She agreed that my glasses were far to tight and pressing far to much into my head.Between us we found a nice new frame,so I payed £20 more because they were dearer than my older ones(I only had the old ones 2 weeks(no problem with the lens).I am hoping to collect new ones next week.Very pleased with my treatment.

I needed replacement glasses for an important job interview, all staff was helpful. Especially Rahul, he arranged my transition lenses on short notice from stock material. I was happy to order a cheap pair quickly and an expensive one later, Rahul took initiative to order my glasses when I wanted and how I wanted. Big up for Rahul!

The staff are plentiful, friendly and seemingly well-trained. The store is generally functional rather than welcoming (especially the seating), certainly nothing that would encourage one to stay longer than necessary. My experience with the optometrist and contact lens specialists was very good.

Only issue was that as shop filled up with booked appointments it became impossible to find empty chairs to use and I noticed no cleaning of desks or chairs being done between clients. I went in today as my usual opticians couldn't deliver in time. The shop was very busy but the staff were well organised and clearly following covid protocols which was very reassuring. I was served by the lovely Dan who, despite being very busy, was very helpful and attentive. He is a real credit to Specsavers

Found the staff to be helpful and welcoming as soon as I step through the door. Have had issues regarding the lenses and the frame causing head aches and consulted the optician who was more than happy to recommend I replace it with the same price frame and I found one just exactly my taste/style in their range. Moreover, they have identified that my prescription was given at a slightly higher prescription which caused the headaches. Offers are fantastic, such as 2 for 1 for prices over £69 (recommend see in store or online to check the offers). The staff are always available and happy to help, even if it's to make adjustments to the frame, takes no more than 3 minutes from my experience.

UPDATE - 29jUN2021: A cople of hours after writing to Customer Services and posting this review, I received a call from a lovely, professional and comprehensive lady from the store. She has taken the time to ask question and understand the situation. She apologised for the confusion and offered a refund for the second pair of clear glasses I was made to purchase on 27Jun2021. She has also been kind enough to let me know when the work will be completed. Thank you for the support! I will start by saying that the staff is very friendly and SEEMS competent. 23-May-21: Eye test done for check and new prescription for clear glasses + sunglasses. Both clear glasses and sunglasses frames purchased outside Specsavers and provided to the team for new lenses - Delivery confirmed for 05-June-21. 03-Jun-21: I call the store as I never received confirmation that the 2 pairs are ready - Associate CASUALLY informs me that no, the pairs are NOT READY and no date is given. 05-Jun-21: I call again and this time, both pairs are ready and nobody bothers to give me a call and let me know. I notice that the vision is distorted but the associate tells me that it is normal and I need to adapt. 14-Jun-21: After 9 days of "adapting", nausea and headaches, I call the store to let them know that something is wrong - I have been wearing glasses for 24 years and am used to "adapting", which is not happening this tine. They ask me to come to store. At store, the associate re-takes the measures, checks the prescriptions and re-scheduled another eye test.. 16-Jun-21: Another eye test done - THE FIRST PRESCRIPTION WAS INCORRECT. The optometrist leaves me with an associate for measure - THE FIRST MEASURES WERE ALSO INCORRECT. I have now paid £278 for an incorrect eye test and incorrect measures. Not one team member apologised for this double incompetence. I was just told that the glasses would be re-done - NO DELIVERY DATE given. 18-Jun-21: I call the store an ask the associate to put the clear glasses on hold as I wanted to change the frame. She confirmed that the lab had not started working on any of my pairs and confirmed that the clear glasses are now on hold and they would wait for me to drop the new frames. The work on the sunglasses could start. 27-Jun-21: I pop by the store to drop the new frame and the associate hands me THE PREVIOUS FRAMES, fitted with the NEW LENSES...And the sunglasses are not ready yet. She says that we could fit lenses on the new frames for £39 - At the register, the total is £114 for the lenses, thinning and fitting. Never have I seen such an incompetent, non-communicating team. Over 5 weeks now, and £400 for no service.

The staff in this specsavers are always excellent and I find them very transparent with thier pricing and expectation setting. Both me and my husband have been served by trainees when getting our eyes tested but they have been well supervised and we were made to feel very comfortable.

Probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Every stage of my experience was explained to me, telling me what they are doing, what to expect and why they are doing it. The eye test was really thorough and so detailed in explanation! I was passed over to another member of staff after my eye test as I needed new glasses, the member of staff really helped me with choosing some new glasses and again explained what she was doing. They even made my glasses within 1 hour- amazing!!

Took about 5 mins to be seen but they were quite busy. My name was taken so we were in order which is new to this place. Much better idea. The girl that served me was lovely. I had broken my glasses and had tried to glue them back together. So she had great trouble getting the glass out. But she sorted the problem which I had caused without too much delay. She was good at her job so it was a pleasant wait. I have never had any problems with the company. And everyone is always friendly. Definitely recommend them. But u should avoid busy weekend as they can be rushed off their feet. But are still friendly.

Really thorough eye exam, I had newly qualified Mo. He was excellent. It all fell down from this point on. I was handed over to a young man (very pale looking) Mo had told him I didn't need new specs just occupational one (My job is figure work 2 computer screens) . He said " I am instantly going to dismiss what Mo said and you should too. You need varifocals and thinned because your prescription lenses would be very, very thick". He then worked up some prices well North of £300. I told him the cost would have to be affordable. Young man then said " Your current frames where did you get them? Not Specsavers I'm guessing as they look cheap! If you want cheap you have to go elsewhere". My response to this was my spectacles have to be affordable. I then requested final test Mo had asked for and left. Specsavers I will not be using you again, I can receive abuse anywhere and not pay for the privilege of your staff.

Hi there. I submitted a rather low two stars because I feel that my close up vision in my weaker eye is worse with the new glasses than with my old ones. When the new glasses were tried on it was explained that the prescription was slightly weaker than before because my worsening cateracts had made my sight better. I shall persist with the new glasses, but pay the store a visit be to check on this situation.

I have used this branch of specsavers since they opened around 4 years ago and I have always had a great experience. Everyone is always really friendly and nice. In the early days of trying contact lenses I had an emergency where I had made my eye red raw where I didn't realise a contact lens had fallen out and I tried to remove it, they had someone help me out immediately after I went in with my eyes streaming and bright red and gave me a spare set of contacts!! I looked elsewhere for cheaper glasses but keep ending up back here just because they have always adjusted my glasses on the spot and been super helpful.

Promotions and discounts are regularly applied to give you a satisfying purchase. Staff are fabulous always welcoming and ready to cater for your needs. There is a quiet area for waiting and separate personal spaces for one to one appointments. Specsavers offer hearing as well as eye tests, and have the latest technology in both.

Really good, comprehensive eye tests. Opticians can spot problems you don't know about by imaging your eyeballs and that's included. When buying glasses, lkke any other optician, the devil is in the detail of what extras you want.
