Optical Express have done a great job. I was not suitable for laser surgery, so they inserted multi-focal lenses into my eyes, with amazing results. I could not get on with bi-focal glasses. Now I don't need glasses at all ! Well done. You are a great team !

Needed somewhere to fix the arm on my prescription sunglasses. Specsavers said no. I found this shop quite by accident. Went in and asked him, he was quite happy to help me for no charge. Friendly service and as I was waiting a few minutes I was looking at the frames very reasonable prices. I will no doubt return here when I need an other pair.

I have had THE BEST customer service experience here at Optical Express Derby. The team have been so attentive and friendly. My first appointment was thorough and put me at ease and I knew right away that I was making the right choice for laser eye surgery by choosing Optical Express. My aftercare has also been fantastic, with the staff accomdating me at short notice when I needed to check out some PUS in my eyes (which turned out to be the drops!) They also stayed openopen for me to ensure I was seen when I got stuck in traffic, as it was very important to them that my care came first. I highly, highly reccomend this store as their staff are simply amazing! Thank you for looking after me so well 😊

This is a review for LAZIK with iDesign. I had my initial consultation and aftercare at the Derby branch and they were absolutely 5*. Fantastic service from them and many thanks to the team! My surgery was carried out in Birmingham and while my results have been exceptional, the experience there was not the greatest. As my eyesight after 1 week was already as sharp as the opticians could test to (20/15 or 6/4) I can't mark Birmingham less than 4* but the customer care and actual procedure was not great at the Birmingham branch. After an hour of sitting around with no information I finally got a rushed meeting with the surgeon and then back to waiting around. When I finally went in for surgery, the whole experience again felt rushed like I was on a conveyor belt. The procedure didn't have a great start as they didn't numb my left eye enough so I could actually feel the cutting of the flap. This really put me on edge for the actual laser treatment but it turned out to be absolutely fine as they put extra numbing drops in. What I was not prepared for was the lack of aftercare directly after surgery. I understood I would be left in a dark room to recover and be monitored. What actually happened was I had a quick check under a microscope to make sure the flap was placed down correctly, a nurse gave me my drops and instructions on eye care and then I was left to walk out of the building. I wasn't even escorted back to reception. I know this doesn't sound like much but when you're struggling to open your eyes and see, a helping hand would have been welcome. I was also not prepared for the excruciating onset of pain about 30 mins after leaving and a heads up would have been very welcome. This continued for around 4-5 hours and can only be described as being repeatedly shot in the eyes with a pellet gun. The next day the pain was gone and I was left with a slightly gritty feeling for a day or two. I haven't suffered with dry eyes like a lot of people complain about and as I mentioned, my results have been exceptional. The clarity has been quite staggering! I was also concerned how it would effect driving at night but I've experienced no halo effect and my night vision is superb. Yes, I would 100% recommend it and would do it again but a more personal experience would be greatly appreciated as undergoing laser eye surgery is an unnerving experience for many.

Kat and Sandeep both looked after me extremely well, and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and comfortable before, during and after my procedure. The after support has been fantastic, and they're all extremely friendly here at Optical Express. I would never even consider leaving Optical Express Derby, they're all very good at their jobs, and show a real interest in your needs and wants as an individual. Had lens replacement a month ago ......why on earth did I not do this years ago ? Yes it’s costly....but wow what a result no glasses or lens after 30 years. The whole care package excellent and caring can’t fault any of the staff. Completely put at ease on the day in Birmingham and after care in Derby. If you have the money do it !

Having worn glasses for most of my life, having laser eye surgery was a huge decision and one that I did not take lightly. I decided to go with Optical Express based on the fact that it is the leading laser eye surgery provider and it's reputation in the industry is unrivalled. The staff made me feel comfortable from the moment I considered having the surgery, through to the aftercare and I was able to take things at my own pace. I was particularly impressed with how the whole procedure was explained in great detail, the benefits and risks were calculated and any queries I had were answered immediately. Kat; one of the staff at the branch, was patient with all of my repeated questions, discussed my concerns and ensured no stone was left unturned in making me feel confident I had made the right decision. I knew I was in great hands. All consultations and pre-surgery appointments were booked around my convenience and having had the surgery, I have been back to Optical Express a number of times to ensure my vision is stable; their aftercare is exceptional. I am always met with a smile and regardless of what they are doing, the staff always has time to speak with you and enquire about your wellbeing. They are professional, friendly and have a great sense of humour. Due to having dry eyes, I have needed various eye drops and in one instance, I had run out. Kat went above and beyond to ensure I had sufficient drops over the weekend by suggesting she post them out to me; whilst I did not take her up on this, I was extremely grateful for her thoughtfulness. Kat is the epitome of customer service and is the finest representative of Optical Express. She has played a key role in this whole experience and is a credit to the organisation. Thank you 😁

I had laser eye surgery about a month ago; from the early consultations to the aftercare appointments the staff at Optical Express have been polite, welcoming and thorough in everything they have done for me. I had every aspect of the surgery explained perfectly to help me decide which treatment was best, and as it turns out I'm extremely happy with the one I went with (LASIK, eye design). The Ophthalmologists (I apologise if I've butchered that spelling or used the wrong title) are very professional and knowledgable but are still very comforting and friendly. My eyes took a bit longer to lose the dryness, so they did everything possible to make it right. All-round great service, so thank you to everyone at Optical Express for making my Laser Eye Surgery experience an incredibly pleasant one!
