I went in here for advice about choosing a new frame for my (very strong) prescription and was met with friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. I’ve never had such great service at an opticians, helping me to choose a frame and even able to calculate the thickness the lens would be in the different frames, including where the thickness would sit in the frame based on my prescription. I believe it was Sarah? The store manager who helped me- she was fantastic, so knowledgeable and helpful. Just had to write a review. Five star service and I have been going to another (well known high st optician) for the last 15 years .. no comparisons! Just brilliant.

I took in my elderly mum in for a eye test and some new glasses. The service they provided was really good. They were very patient with her, and listened to everything and tried to accommodate. I definitely will be using them in the future

Very friendly, helpful and professional staff. Eye test was carried out on time and everything explained in a clear and friendly manner. Dispensing staff also explained all my options in a friendly, professional manner to make sure that I got the frames and lenses that I want.

Great staff, couldn't be more helpful. Not pushy sales staff that you find at other well known High street opticians (shouldn't go there)! We're more concerned about my eye health than selling me frames and expensive lenses I didn't need. Highly recommend

I was advised by the hospital to visit the opticians... Although I'm not due an eye exam for a few more months, they gave me a list of free appointments, within 5 days of my call. During my visit - Clean and easy to navigate. Fully staffed, nobody left waiting. Seen promptly. Optician very polite and clear. I needed to change my prescription glasses. I was made aware of offers and help available. My glasses are already being processed and should be here by the weekend. Highly recommend! UPDATE - Received my glasses in 5 days. I didn't collect them myself, however the person who did, was given the message that i can go and have them fitted if needs be. Great quality

Plenty of staff to assist, prompt and thorough eye test. I was given the opportunity to explore the cost of the various options. There were 2 reasons why I didn’t purchase new glasses - previous discounts for over 65’s have been withdrawn making them less competitive. I was concerned that the varifocal and photochromic lenses on offer were own brand so I wasn’t confident of the quality compared to Zeiss or Essilor.

The optometrist Mrs Dosanjh was great with myself and my elderly father. Once the test was done the staff at the shop were also very helpful in helping me pick out some new glasses . Highly recommend the store !

Amazing customer service by Helen. Just outstanding service. I usually go to another branch but was recommended to come and see Helen about changing my contact lenses from yearly to monthly. She explained everything throughly and spent an awful long time making sure we had the right prescription along with other options. I’ve never received this kind of service ever. Felt truly looked after and I feel confident I will get the best lenses that will work for me.

Recently used Vision Express Derby to try multi focal contact lenses for the very first time and Helen was extremely helpful and patient when trying to teach me how to put them in and take them out as I wasn’t very good at it. Ordered my lenses and they arrived within three days by post. Have a follow up appointment for two weeks time. Very happy with the service 😁

Everyone I've interacted with has been very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Appointments were easy to book. As someone who is hard of hearing, I found the staff very willing to make sure to speak up and make sure I understand what they're saying, despite having to speak through a mask. One even offered to change to a clear visor so I could lipread. I definitely won't go anywhere else.

The optician listened to what I said had changed with my eyes. Concentrated on deep check of my eyes found a optical tear in each eye. Sent straight to eye hospital, had eye surgery that evening and more the next day. If you’re reading this please get your eyes checked routinely or if you notice changes. If I had not gone to opticians or it was not spotted I could have lost my vision!

Helen was amazing! My son (14) wanted contact lenses. I hadn't mentioned that my son has ADHD & other issues but I didn't need to. Helen was incredibly patient & helpful. Never rushed him & made it a great experience. My son struggles around strangers but he is not obvious when you meet him. He instantly liked Helen & felt comfortable. I have also had apts with Helen for my own contact lenses. Always lovely, helpful & genuine. Highly recommend as Helen has a huge wealth of knowledge & just a lovely person.

Helen was great for my contact lense check. I’d definitely recommend her for contact lenses. The appointment was rushed and she listened to e wry thing I had to say. She even popped some different lenses in the post to try out which arrived a couple of days after. All in all first rate.

Boots opticians could learn a thing or two about customer service from Vision express. The staff at Vision express cant do enough to help but its never pushy its always considerate and they are so patient. It took me 3 hours to find some glasses, the chap even missed his lunch but nothing was a problem and he did it all with a genuine smile and genuine desire to help. I eventually got my new glasses after trying nearly every pair on in the shop and even that wasnt a problem to them despite having to sanitise every pair i'd tried. Nothing phased them, would definitely recommend them.

Went for a contact lense trial. They accidentally booked me a single appointment rather than a double one, optometrist(?) Said she would aim to get me trying them in in the time we had. Could I get the buggers in? Could I heck. Helen was fab regardless. Absolutely hilarious trying to get them in between us. Didn't feel pressured to make them work at all, she made me feel relaxed throughout even when I stressed. Shame my eyes didn't relax as much as I did! Didn't come away with contact lenses this time, but did have a good laugh trying to get them in! Clean shop, good social distancing, friendly staff, contact lense prescription in stock, knowledgeable team.

Recent eye test at Vision Express, Derbion (Intu), Derby. Highly recommend. Friendly staff offering excellent customer service in large and pleasant setting. Vast selection of frames from which to choose. Was also impressed with the extra measures taken due to Covid (screens, gel, masks, sanitising spectacles and surfaces after each person and felt reassured. From memory Sucha has tested my eyes on the last 3 visits (possibly more). He's a lovely gentleman and the examination is so thorough.
