D. K.My daughter has just completed the ‘School Vision’ programme at McCrystal Opticians and the results have been amazing. We have seen a great improvement in her overall confidence to read and write, both in school and at home.
Our experience of the whole process was very positive and we would highly recommend Noel and his team at McCrystal Opticians.
C. S.My daughter has just completed the school vision programme with Noel. I cannot recommend Noel and his team enough. When my daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia I had researched the school vision programme and McCrystals by far came up tops. We live in the Ards Penninsula and was sceptical about the distance as it takes approx 1.5 - 2 hours door to door but it was well worth it. Appointments are 3-6 months so very manageable. The results speak for themselves. Her reading speed has more than doubled with no mistakes of jumbled up letters. Her confidence has improved so much. If you have a child with dyslexia I would recommend you contact McCrystals you'll not regret it.
B. M.My daughter has finished the school vision programme with Noel. The improvements have been immense and Noel has provided the statistics used to measure her progress. Highly recommended for suspected or confirmed dyslexic children. So much so my second daughter has started on school vision also.

M. L.Our daughter was having significant problems reading and with other activities. We attended Noel McCrystal to see if the school vision programme might help. I would have to say that we were treated so well from start to finish and as the cost structure was explained upfront and paid in two halves at no time did I feel that I was being exploited. The programme completed today and I am delighted to say that the programme helped our daughter significantly - her reading speed has doubled, the words no longer blur or move around the page and in fact Isabel has started to read for pleasure ( this was unheard of before). I would recommend this programme and say if you think it might help, go see Noel and his team.🙂
A. C.Our son was experiencing difficulties reading, i.e. words shimmering on the page, also seeing the board in school and homework spellings were an issue, taking up significant time at night. After a Dyslexia diagnosis we attended Mr. Mc Crystal who assessed our son’s eyesight and put him on a two year programme specifically focused at correcting his vision, which we have found to be very beneficial increasing our son’s confidence and maximising his ability. In our son’s own words “my eyes used to be tired, I used to see shimmers, it was hard to read and now it is much easier to read and spell”. I could not recommend Mr. Mc Crystal’s Opticians highly enough for children experiencing literacy difficulties. We found the programme excellent and the staff very helpful, supportive, efficient and good communicators and would have no problem discussing our experience of this programme with other parents.
