They have very prompt communication regarding appointment availability, contact lens delivery and due check ups. I've visited a number of their sites and always welcomed with a friendly face. Great, realistic advice and an array of modern, on-trend glasses at an affordable price. Great job guys!
R. B.My family and I have been using The Village Optician for years for all of our eye related needs and recently the team went above and beyond to help me.
I had an eye test just before the country’s lockdown was initiated, I was trying to get by but I’d broken my glasses and was trying to get by with an even older pair. I rang the guys and explained my problem and they couldn’t have been more helpful! I was able to visit the Aycliffe branch and select a new pair of glasses 👓 and a week later they arrived.
Liz is a fab lady and helped me pick my frames, she had a selection ready for me to view for when I arrived as had popped out on my lunch break. The team ensured that the health and safety for all of us was maintained by complying with social distancing measures etc

My daughter came home from school with the news that she had dropped and damaged her glasses. Unfortuantely we are going on holiday and there was not much time to get them repaired. So I popped into the Village opticians on the off chance and they fixed them efficeintly and quickly, without any fuss.

When I went in to collect my contact lenses and glasses, I was pleased to discover that they were laid out all ready for me on a tray, with a small chocolate too. You don't get service like that in many places these days. I would definitely recommend this Opticians to friends and family. Thank you.
