I visited Vision Express Durham this week for a sight test and had a really good experience, I don’t usually post these reviews but I felt it was good to highlight how professional and helpful the staff were especially the optician who did my sight test and the lady who helped my decide on my glasses (I didn’t catch her name). The store felt very safe in terms of Covid too and had a good range of options for glasses. Thanks vision express.

I had broken the arm of my glasses so I paid for new frames and within minutes they had put my lenses into my new frames . Thank-you to Lolinder who was so lovely . When i got home and put them on the lenses I found were slightly smaller than the frames so I took them back and this time Richard looked after me and within a short time I had different frames not a problem they are fantastic Thank-you Richard great customer service .

Recently needed to attend Vision Express Durham for consultation and eye test. From the moment of walking through the door my experience could only be described as excellent. All members of staff were very professional in every aspect. Like most things in life I can only speak from personal experience but I will not be afraid to recommend, highly, this particular branch and its staff.

I’ve been to quite a few Vision Express stores but the Durham branch is definitely my favourite. Really friendly and competent staff, especially Richard, who goes above and beyond. Felt well looked after.

My wife and I had back-to-back appointments on the same day. We both had excellent treatment from all three staff, from being greeted at the door by Richard and his female colleague (whose name I did not get), through to professional examination, and recommendation on frames and lenses. I've been seeing the same Optometrist, Yassim, for over three years and fully trust his calm, measured, advice and professionalism, and recommendations. My wife was new to Vision Express, having been bitterly disappointed with a previous firm. She was also fully appreciative of Yassim's skills, manner and advice. The only point I would pick up on is that when the paperwork was completed and put into a folder, the various panels (e.g. dates of current appointment and next eye test) on the folder were not completed. The problem of that folder just being put away without such facts is easily done, and could lead to frustration down the line when it is resurrected. But that is a minor observation set in the context of first class service. Thanks to all concerned.

I cannot rate this store highly enough. This weekend I travelled to Durham, some 370 miles from home, and discovered I had forgotten to bring new pairs of daily contact lenses. Despite it being past closing time, the staff unlocked the shop, called my local branch to get my prescription and gave me a couple of pairs of lenses without cost. They were so helpful, completely charming and saved me from a very 'blurred' weekend away. They certainly went above and beyond and I am eternally grateful. The people of Durham, you are very lucky to have such caring staff to serve you at this branch of Vision Express!

Wow! Astonishing customer service! I rang this morning to say I’d lost a nose pad off my glasses but am shielding so couldn’t go into the shop. By this evening the lovely Emma had come to my house to fix them, sitting outside my door after a long day at work. She then anti bac cleaned them before leaving them outside for me. I walked into this store today as I was in Durham. My glasses are around 4 years old and are becoming a little weak. Few times recently I have knocked them and had to have them adjusted. I have called in a couple of NE branches of Vision Express. But today was different to every other visit, you ask why? From the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out I was treated like Royalty. The staff did everything possible to ensure I was sorted, and satisfaction with the service. One of the young ladies tried to sort my frames out but was unsure, so asked a senior member of staff to assist with correcting the frames. By the time this was done the frames look great again. I have also booked my eye test in for the NY as a result of the service.

Visited the branch in Durham with my Mum who suffers from Alzheimers. The staff were amazing with her, each team member was extremely patient, respectful and considerate with her. I highly recommend this branch and it's team. I was overwhelmed at the service this branch provided to us during our visit and only wish more big named high street retailers and their staff could provide Alzheimers suffers the same level of service and respect the deserve.
