I can't praise this opticians enough. Service, listening to what you want & need 100%. Spends lots of time ensuring you are happy and it's been the best eye & contact lens check I have had. The ladies on reception are easy to speak too, and very helpful. Nothing is a bother to them.

I cannot recommend enough this optical studio… the optician and receptionist are very professional and they recommend only what you need and no more (obviously you can ask for more). While some may prefer big optics, I love the personal attention with the same specialist, no like some big brand that you don’t know who will attend you next time. Don’t be mistaken that for being a small one, you would have to wait ages for appointments or for your glasses, everything here is fast and good quality, so this was a plus.

I'd like to recommend this opticians, Usman the optometrist who carried out the eye test with myself, made me feel at ease during my appointment. He explained every part of my eye examination, I was advised what lenses where best for myself. The assistant Kim was a great help advising myself on which frames were most suitable for me.

Great Optical Practice with friendly and professional staff. The receptionist is a very friendly, charming lady who makes you feel welcome at the Optical Studio. I would highly recommend Mr Aslam who is a professional, knowledgeable and helpful optician. Mr Aslam always conducts the eye tests reliably and carefully. I am grateful for all useful information and advice given by him. In emergency situation they would always do their best to see you. Highly recommended by me and all my family members.

Visited Optical Studio in Leith for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Usman is really professional and goes the extra mile to explain things and put clients at ease. I've tried the big chain stores and they only seem interested in selling expensive frames. I would not hesitate in recommending Optical Studio.

Instead of the chain optician I thought I’d go for the more personal approach. Keeping it local and now more personal seemed the sensible option. Had my specs a while now and cannot fault them, in fact my lenses are better than my previous pair (which cost more) from the chain. Service was great as was my actual eye test. I was extremely impressed by the service provided. Received an early appointment, felt comfortable in the premises, all particularly in consideration of the ongoing covid pandemic. The test was carried out very professionally and the diagnosis explained comprehensively but communicated in an easily understood manner. Resultant glasses were produced within a few days. In summary would have no hesitation in recommending the practice.

Went to this Optician, as I wanted to give the small businesses a chance. Used to go to specsavers, but I just felt, it was like a cattle market, in and out, no explanation of how machines work, etc. Optical Studio was amazing, the reception I got was outstanding. The women at the counter are so friendly and helpful. The optician was clear on everything he explained to me, from machines to which lenses he was using, right down to explaining, that one eye was different for distance and the other eye different for short distance. He took the time to fit my glasses perfectly, not like specsavers, oh aye they suit you. Nowt else. Specsavers overpriced. For a small independent shop I was really surprised at the cost of glasses, that I actually bought 3 pairs. Getting my glasses, the woman got me to try them on, picked my own cleaning cloth, a lovely tartan. I am certainly going back every year/two. I have recommended this shop to family and friends, I do hope they will go into it, as the service is 2nd to none

I took my daughter here for a routine eye test and also as she had been complaining about a problem with her eye. Usman was so thorough and patient with the test and also listened to and answered all our questions. He was very reassuring. The staff on reception are all really lovely too and very helpful. Optical studio is a nice friendly opticians they make you feel relaxed and welcomed. Great service from the optician very thorough with eye checkup. Varied range of frames and great prices too. Would recommend anyone to visit them if they need an eye sight, new glasses or contact lenses.

Usman Aslam and Kim the receptionist went above and beyond the call of duty to help me recover information that had been lost over 27 years ago. Without their help I would not have been able to go ahead with the surgery at hospital. A big thank you to both of them.

Hi Usman, I thought I shouldn't reply until I'd found my new reading specs. I thought I was doing better at not losing them but then.....oops disappeared. But I'm using them now. The big difference for me is that they don't keep falling off my face into the sink, or wash hand basin or worse. I 'm not the most relaxed patient you will have- tending to feel it's like going to the dentist. But it was all very relaxed with you and so I'm very happy with my visit and the two pairs of specs which you supplied. Next time I need frames I might even try something a bit more classy. But really these are fine and my family were surprised at how little they cost. Cheers, Peter

I cannot recommend optical studio enough !!! The team are absolutely fantastic!! So friendly, so helpful and very efficient! With Covid been such a big concern at the minute, yet I couldn't feel safer in the shop! Everything was cleaned down and when possible social distanced. My eye test was done super throughly and swiftly. I was told I would need lenses (first time ever needing glasses) and the guys were FAB at helping me pick a frame that suited me AND I got them the next day !!!!!!!!! All for a fantastic price!!!! And your supporting a local business!!!! #shoplocal
