I recently visited Specsavers for my annual eye check-up and was delighted with the service and the thoroughness of the examination. The young optometrist took time to explain the results to me which was very reassuring and when it was time for me to choose a new pair of frames, the assistant explained the options, but did not pressure me into buying super expensive frames or any extras that I did not want or need. Excellent customer service all round.

Fantastic service from start to finish, Philip the optical advisor helped me choose my frames and was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Noel the optometrist was lovely and thorough and explained in detail the results of my eye test and the type of lenses I would require, and finally Gillian, the very pleasant store manager who handed over my new glasses and helped me choose my frames for my prescription sunglasses as still eligible for the 2 for 1 offer. Will definitely use specsavers Morningside again, can't recommend them enough.

I booked here for my routine eye check-up and for a trial of contact lenses. The staff have been very professional and friendly on each of my visits. There were a good selection of frames to choose from for my new specs, which I love! I liked the ability to try out contact lenses before committing to purchasing any. The optometrist and assistants were helpful and reassuring when it came to any questions I had, and patient when I struggled taking them out. If I am still in the area when I'm next due a check-up I will be using this opticians again.

I went to Specsavers at Morningside for a routine eye test. I was very impressed by the optometrist (I think his name was Noël). He was extremely encouraging about the condition of my eyes and he produced a prescription for me. The resulting new spectacles give me much clearer distance vision than before. An assistant showed me several suitable new frames to choose from and explained to me the cost of having the lenses thinned as I requested. The resulting price was very reasonable in my opinion.

Went here today for an eyetest. All the staff were lovely and incredibly helpful. The girl who was my optician was so friendly and really explained everything clearly. Highly recommend this place if you want to feel at ease while getting your eye test done.

I was very impressed with person providing an eye check, so thorough. Then Jenny took me in tow and explained clearly the different types of lenses using a demo screen. 2 for 1 pricing on lenses is excellent. They have a high standard of health and safety, washing down all equipment after each patient, changing bibs and gloves daily. Also a nice touch was them calling the day before to check I was still available for the appointment but to come 10 minutes early for a pre test.

Best Opticians. Rude Audiologist Edit: Jan 2022. Audiologist was pretty rude when she thought I was late and twice refused to apologize for Specsavers mistake once I showed her my appointment email (2 minutes early!). I'll keep going back for the eyetests because they are a brilliant optician. Going to go somewhere else for audiology. So rude! Also Specsavers fix your software. My appointment emails and stuff all said 2.30 and in-store software said 2.15.

Excellent customer service and wonderful staff. Michael and the team are truly a credit, to not only their company, but to themselves as well ! I have been a customer there for many many years and always always been so looked after !! I have missed eye tests, due to poor health, family loss, distance from store and obviously sad situation we are in at the moment. But Michael had the decency and kindness to call me, asking how l am and not to worry missing my eye tests. Highly recommend this branch and their staff, to look after all your needs for your eyes !! Wonderful service from the moment I entered the shop with my daughter. Attentive friendly staff and the optician was truly excellent. Thorough examination, well explained and fabulous interaction with my 9 year old who had been quite nervous. Good selection of frames to choose from. A thoroughly professional yet personal and friendly service from Mr OKane and his team. Highly recommend!

I'm not a big fan of chains but thr Morningside Specsavers are exemplary in their care and friendliness. I have no idea how they fit so many staff in such a small shop. It feels like it is a happy place to work and that is reflected in their customer service. My experience on the phone to the contact lens call centre was also very positive, with knowledgeable staff and a "can do" attitude.

Just Amazing. Had my first eye test and was blown away by the service. The test was so detailed. The optician recommended new varifocal glasses for my office. The the lady helped me pick my frames. They are comfortable and it fitted me like a glove so much care was taken. Vision is also amazing. I can not thank you enough for such a great experience. Excellent service, highly recommended. Went in for an eye checkup. The optometrist spent a lot of time analysing my eyes. Having had other opticians provide only drops for dry eyes, he took the time to investigate and make recommendations to cure the root cause. I had the impression the recommendations were really what was best for the consumer and not just to make a sale (for example, recommending and explaining why certain eye drops were particularly good and some were overly expensive). They had a lot of high-tech equipment for scanning eyes, but made sure to explain what each step was doing, so I could get a sense it wasn't snake oil. Other than that, the rest of the staff were very polite.

Called into the store today, was greeting by friendly and polite staff, I informed them that I had an appointment with the optician, I was then directed to the optician, Upon meeting the optician he introduced himself as Michael, I felt a bit nervous as I hadn't been to the optician in a while, he immediately put me at ease, his friendly approachable manner made it easy to go through the tests which he explained at each stage in a manner that a layman such as myself could understand. He took a photo of the back of my eye for free. Upon completion of the test he advised that I needed an adjustment to my lenses which I had already guessed. He then introduced me to one of his staff Stacey, who brought me around the store, showed different styles within my price range and guided me without being pushy. She helped me pick a pair that I feel really suit me and I felt i could really trust her opinion. I was really happy with all the aspects of this opticians and would recommend them to anyone.

To start with Michael the optometrist was absolutely amazing, he was very knowledgeable, explained everything in simple terms so I could understand and made me feel at ease. The manager Joe was very welcoming when I entered the store. The rest of the staff were so friendly. I had a lovely Nespresso coffee while I was there. The staff was really helpful each time I went in myself, with my son and my niece, so I know it wasn't a single incidence where I happened to catch them on a good day. It is good that such polite and genuinely helpful service exists. I have to say 20/20 on Easter road was also excellent. It would have been a shame to leave them had it not been for this Specsavers!

wonderful service provided by Mr O'Kane the opticien and I was so impressed by the care and attention provided. the most thorough eye examination I have ever had and he has helped my dry eyes more than any GP has ever done! Im also very happy with my spectacles and the vision is very comfortable. great value and top of the range service, equipment and frames. I can't recommend highly enough. 5stars.

The optometrist, Micheal, and the manager, Joe, introduced themselves to me when i was in the store. They were both very friendly, polite and you could tell they both had years of experience behind them. The atmosphere in the store was lovely and i spoke to pretty much all the staff on that day! Aimee and Kasey helped give me advise on my glasses choice...which i am delighted with... Superdry and Cath Kidston on the 2 for 1 offer. Gillian dispensed my glasses for me, she was very informative and Ehsan took a real interest and paid attention to my wants and needs.

Fabulous opticians! I have a rather high myopia, and normally dread going to the optician (more than the dentist!). However, here it was a different story. The optician herself did a very thorough eye exam and the staff were great - they took time to help me select a suitable frame and type of lens, and I did not feel rushed. They completely understood the issues with selecting the right eyewear for my high prescription. James in particular spent a long time checking the fit of the frames and making measurements. When the glasses came in, they looked better than I had hoped. I must say, its unusual to get this level of service nowadays. Also, lenses were fitted to the frame really well.To the Specsavers Lab in Dumfermline - you did a great job! Even if you are not based around Morningside, its worth making the trip here. I think I'll bring in some of my older frames for re-glazing.....

Went into the shop mid morning Thursday, explained I’d dropped my glasses and one of the lenses had fallen out, the assistant inspected the damage and requested I come back in 10-15 mins to pick them up, I went for a walk came back to the shop and my glasses were repaired good as new and free of charge, I was impressed and delighted 😃 no dramas whatsoever, thanks Specsavers. 👍
