Amazing service from Martin & the staff. I had been eyeing up a pair of amazing green glasses in the window for weeks & can’t believe how reasonably priced they were. A LOT cheaper than the high street opticians & that was for varifocals. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I've attended O'Callaghan's for my last few routine eye tests and for a scratched eye a few years back. I cannot praise them highly enough. Professional, friendly and thorough eye examination from Martin who really knows his stuff and will do his best to look after you. I've been really pleased with my last few pairs of glasses, too, as I tend to have issues finding frames that fit my massive head. Thankfully, the practice staff - Lynn and Veronika - are always happy to help with honest advice and great recommendations.

Absolutely fantastic work and service! Cannot recommend O'Callaghan Opticians enough! My eye exam was very thorough and Martin was very patient, extremely nice and friendly, explained everything as he went, and made sure everything was clean and comfortable. I ended up getting new glasses because it was all so professional and well explained. The selection was very nice and wide (though I went for some cute one!) but the prices are not super crazy - there's something for everyone. Thank you for the great service! TL;DR 100% recommend!

Had the best time! Never thought I'd be excited to go to the opticians. Very lovely staff and Martin did a very detailed eye examination. He took my concerns very seriously. I've had issues wearing contacts in the past and was always just told that there's nothing wrong. Martin made sure to try and find out and he did and explained it very well! I also did pick up a new pair of specs because they had one I thought were lovely. So happy. I won't be going anywhere else from now. Clean and lovely decorated space also.

I would highly recommend going to O'Callaghan Opticians. My two appointments with Martin were great. On my second appointment I was getting contact lenses fitted and he was really patient with me as I got to grips with them. Last week I ordered new contact lenses but realised I needed a pair the day before they were due to arrive. I called Lynn to asked when they would arrive and she sent my out a few spare pairs to use until my order arrived. First class customer service. Really appreciate it Lynn and Martin!

First discovered this opticians when I had an acute eye complaint. I was booked in to be seen on the same day and received a thorough eye exam, with clear explanation of the cause of my condition and advice about how to manage it. I have subsequently been in routinely for new glasses and contact lenses, and again for another acute eye issue! Every time I have been impressed with how efficient, professional and helpful both Martin and the staff at the shop have been. They also have a fantastic selection of frames and are helpful for a second opinion when trying to choose between them all! Definitely coming here for all my eye exams in future- I would highly recommend.

I had sent an email before making my appointment after close of business and quickly received an answer to my question by the next morning. Making the appointment was easy and quick, with a confirmation email and text reminder to make sure I won't forget (always appreciated in busy times!) Most importantly, I felt very welcome when coming in for my appointment. Since I haven't had an eye examination for a while, I was a bit uneasy, but all steps were explained and all my questions were answered. Nice little touch, Martin remembered that I emailed him before making the appointment & when I left, he greeted other patients waiting in the show room by name. Definitely the most personalised service I have seen in a long time and all-round a very welcoming environment. Very satisfied with my experience!

Fantastic, professional service from Martin and the team. Called up when I finally accepted the headaches I was suffering was due to straining my eyes all day. Eye exam was quick but thorough and Martin fully explained the causes behind my complaint. For a smaller opticians, the frame selection was impressive as well. Took our pre-schooler in for an eye test today and was so impressed. He was not up for going, but as soon as we got there Martin put him right at ease and made the whole experience really fun. My two year old daughter needed an emergency eye appointment at the hospital, due to a deterioration in her eye sight (during lockdown). Our usual Opticians, in the Southside, are currently closed. They passed on Martin's number to contact him, as our daughter needed a new eye prescription in her glasses. Martin was absolutely first class. He came and collected her glasses from our front door step, got her new prescription in less than five days and brought them back to us. I can honestly say, O'Callaghan's service is one of the best we have ever had. What could have been a very stressful few weeks waiting on an Optician to open to change her prescription, was dealt with in the most professional manner. Thanks again Martin.
