Just had a thorough eye examination and from start to finish the treatment was fantastic. The young lady Sity was very welcoming, had a very relaxing manner, clear about every aspect of the next test to happen and was very professional. The main optician, Gill has the very same relaxing manner about her, makes you feel so at ease and thoroughly professional. Optical Express have a great team at this practice and i cannot recommend them highly enough.

I visited optical express who is my optician with an issue I picked up on holiday. The reception staff were fantastic and got me an appointment asap. The optician on duty then managed to lay my mind at rest and prescribed the relevant medicine. So professional and polite. I would highly recommend their services. Well done team.

My recent visit to Optical Express in Newton Mearns was so good I want to congratulate Dave Nicol and his team. The appointment booking was amazing as they had a free slot only 10 minutes later. The staff were great particularly with the various tests on the machines – I hate the puff in the eye test, but they were so attentive the whole thing passed in a really relaxed manner. The sight test was so smooth and efficient which care and clearly attentive to health and vision. Dave helped me pick the new spectacles amazingly quickly by suggesting frames quite different from my old ones, but which suited me perfectly – the first set was what I settled on, but he did try a couple of others. That takes experience and skill. Dave then took me through the lens options explaining each one carefully and patiently balancing cost and requirements. Dave is rightly proud of his newly refurbished shop and his team which together made the whole experience so engaging and enjoyable. Well done to all!

I got an appointment same day I phoned and generally have found I can get one fairly quickly. The staff are courteous, approachable & knowledgeable. The test and consultations are conducted seamlessly. If selecting new glasses there is a wide variety and time given to select. I have never had any problems and always return here for my check ups and glasses. Highly recommended.

I was very impressed with the welcome I received and the feeling of being "special". The young lady who first interviewd me was professional to her finger tips as was her colleague who carried out my eye test. Despite this, they both put m at compete ease and could not have ben more helpful. Given that they were short staffed due to Covid, there performance was outstanding.. However, on a more sobre note: While my need for glsses was so efficiently handle, my experince regarding contact lenses was less so and this had nothing to do with the staff and all to do with Company Acontancy ideas on squeezing-out the extra £££. I wear contact lenses as well as glasses but was told I needed to pay an extra £50 to have them "fitted". i wear shoes too and don't pay to have them fitted so I guess i will be going eslewhere for my contacts.

I attended optical express for an eye check. Then while staff at the opticians was helpful, supportive, and punctual. I managed to get a 9 am appointment so could get there as soon as I dropped my children off to school. I liked the outcome and the professionalism shown by the optometrist.
