Went in looking to purchase new glasses with varifocal lenses. Was looking for guidance and advice into choosing the correct glasses for my face shape and prescription....never received it....in fact....I seemed to be more knowledgeable than the assistant who dealt with me. Hopefully my new glasses will be ok?!?!?

From the second we walked in the door till we left my elderly father and young daughter we treated with attention, understanding, compassion and all in a warm friendly manner. This is the reason I’ve took my daughter here for 5 years and regardless of who’s working it’s always been the same. My father had never been here before using other well known high street options and local independents, however he was blown away with the service at Vision Express in Silverburn too. The staff are a real credit to their business and achieve the highest possible levels of expertise and care. I can’t recommended this branch highly enough. They’re amazing.

Staff are very friendly and professional Got two sets of glasses and second set half price. The girl from Newcastle was great.. only wish I could remember her name for this rating as she made my whole experience awesome. I also forgot my card and she was able to take payment over the phone from my wife.. Said she would try and get the glasses finished before I go on holiday but if It doesn’t happens then that’s ok.. Would thoroughly recommend the staff in your silverburn branch, this is my second time I’ve been back to pick glasses. On both occasions the staff have been friendly and so helpful, Emma in particular who always helps me make the final decision! Such a lovely atmosphere

Visited today and was so impressed by how lovely and helpful Hazel, the optometrist, was! I had a number of concerns about my eye sight and dryness and she answered all of my questions in great detail, recommended specific drops and lenses for me and even encouraged me to contact her directly with any follow-up questions. Such an asset to the company, thank you Hazel!

Eye test was thorough, and optometrist was very good at listening to my symptoms, list of medications, etc and good at explaining what she was doing and why she would recommend 2 new pairs of glasses as my eyes had changed somewhat (Reading and Distance). As with previous optometrists, she did not try to convert me to contact lenses which I did not want. The 'sales person' - Emma N - was good, she did not try to sell me the more expensive frames, she was very happy to sell me 2 frames from the cheapest range, in different colours so I could differentiate between Reading and Distance frames. I had problems with the online booking system. Having booked the test a couple of weeks in advance, the website suggested I would be contacted shortly to confirm. I heard nothing and contacted the outlet three days before appointment only to be told that there were no bookings available for two weeks. I rebooked for the next time I would be on the Mainland, only for confirmation of the original appointment to be texted the following day. I took up the first booked appointment and was very happy with the service I received. The second appointment was cancelled.

The first eye test I’d attended in many years. I found the process efficient and incredibly safe while adhering to covid guidance with lots of visible cleaning between customers. The optician was friendly and informative. I would highly recommend this store.

The eye test was made a much pleasanter experience because of the new equipment, which allows the optometrist to find out what the subject's vision prescription should be. She also explained to me what the visual scan of my eyes indicated about my vision and general health. It was altogether a first-class service and thank you.

Great service, very friendly helpful staff especially the opticians. The aftercare for contact lenses is very good, I've been to several different opticians and recieved no aftercare whatsoever. I've recommended my daughter, sister and granddaughter and they agree. I just bought new sunglasses and didn't like them when I got home, I called and asked if I could change them, they let me go into a room to try them without my mask on, I got another pair which I love and nothing was a bother to the staff. I wouldn't shop anywhere else for eyecare.

Such knowledgeable, well trained staff however it was their kind, patient and courteous manner which made my visit here such a lovely experience. I suffer from anxiety and had many questions snd needed lots of reassurance and sometimes they had to repeat their answers to me. They did so with the loveliest, relaxed, unrushed manner. I cannot praise them and this Vision Express enough. It’s why I always return and bring my husband who has disabilities. Additionally the lenses are all far higher spec for same prices than their high street competitors.
