Optician was a lovely Man, very polite and helpful. He understood that I was a working mum on low income and tailored his recommendations to my budget, regarding my contact lenses. Unfortunately when I explained my situation to the associate out front, I was lead to the high end brand glasses, I had to choose frames for a lot less, which she did not seem very happy about. I was having a problem with my card, which I managed to sort out quickly. But by the end of the transaction and her dealing with me I could tell she was glad to get rid of me. Left feeling uncomfortable and like I didn't want to return again.

Service is as good but generally it felt rushed, i trying to explain I could focus correctly to identify the letters but they just kept rushing through it. To his credit, he did give it another go but the whole experience felt like in and out…next person. Very low selection of frames, especially a variety of colours for the frames I wanted (had to have 3 separate glasses). I wasn’t told I could take the prescription somewhere else to buy different frames.

Apart from the initial difficulty in getting an appointment at the branch nearest to me (simply due to popularity of the branch) everything else was faultless. The assistant and the optician were brilliant and had time to answer any questions I had. The assistant also fixed a new nose pad onto my glasses which I wasn't expecting... so more comfortable to wear while I wait for my shiny new pair!

Very happy with the way the staff helped me as my vision needs are not straight forward. The tests were carried out in a very professional manner as one would expect from a leading optician. I was also helped well in choosing the frames I was buying.

I turned up on spec (!) after a Twitter conversation with customer services. Not only did Vision Express have the frames I'd found online, but despite me not having my prescription with me, the very helpful staff contacted my previous opticians for a copy of my recent prescription, and I was sorted out there and then! I just have to wait for my lovely new varifocal glasses. Cannot thank the staff enough or recommend them any higher, so so pleased :)
