I just went in for an eye test and to pick new glasses and sunglasses out and Phoenix the employee, as well as the manager, were so helpful and lovely, and ensured I got the best value for money which was especially helpful to me, being a student. After having my test, Emily helped me to choose a new frame, and without her I don't think I'd have been able to! Having only worn glasses for less than 12 months, choosing them is a little difficult. Emily was fantastic, very approachable and easy to talk to. Nothing seemed too much for her (even adjusting a try-on frame for size). Huge thank you Emily for all of your help 😊

Fantastic staff, as far as optician appointments go this is by far the best. Very thorough and explained everything really well. Great service when I returned to buy some glass. All the staff are very friendly and helpful here. the shop was very clean and tidy. the staff were also helpful when it came to choosing my frames and i was given lots of very good advice which saved me a lot of money as the deal i was looking at wasn't right for me but i still got everything that i wanted and i saved some money too. the lady that done my eye test was brilliant as I'm a bit deaf and i tend to lip read she took her mask off and put a clear plastic one on she always made sure that i could see her face when she was talking to me so thanks for your help IESHA & JASMINE I'm really looking forward to getting my new glasses & thanks for looking after me 👍

I came in yesterday, I was very nervous and I haven't been for years. I had some problems with white string in my eyes and the opition woman was absolutely amazing she suggested the best eye mask for me and some really good eye drops I've used the eye drops twice and wow what a difference. She made me feel so comfortable she talked me through everything she was really understanding and I hope I see her in the future as she did more than her job I felt like she was been a friend too. She's such a credit to vision express and I hope the lady sees this and knows how amazing she is.

Maybe I caught them on an off day but waiting time wasn't great. I was finally seen 40 minutes after my appointment time. I also found the optician's manner a little patronising, constantly referring to me as 'sweetheart' throughout the consultation, even telling me at one point that I was a "good girl." As a 50 year old woman, I question whether a 50 year old man would have been called sweetheart and told he was a "good boy."🤔🤦

The staff are friendly and professional, making you feel welcome and at ease. The store was Covid safe with sanitizer on entry and a call before my appointment to check if I or anyone I've been in contact with had any symptoms. I was visiting for an eye test to put my mind at ease about something that occurred to my vision and I achieved that with great reassurance from one young female member of staff in particular.

I have been backwards & forwards between Vision Express & the Eye Hospital. I could easily have been fobbed off or dismissed but the optician I saw Ajay could not have been more thorough or determined to find out why my vision had deteriorated so much. I have now had two operations to correct my distance vision & am amazed how much my vision has improved. At my numerous appointments I felt listened to & never rushed. Everyone in the store was helpful & I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thank you for a first class service....I will definitely be back for my next test ☺

Took my pair of broken glasses in store on Saturday. Although an eye test and new specs would of been ideal, it just wasn’t possible there and then. However the lady was so keen and actually wanted to help and tried several methods to fix the glasses! It worked and I am so grateful for good customer service from this store.

staff are lovely so cannot fault them. the only thing I fault is the quality of the glasses. I have to keep coming in to have them readjusted, they get dirty quicker than any other lense I have every had and my nose (bridge) is itching. Definitely not the best quality.

Was surprised and disappointed I wasn't offered a discount as the glasses I got last year were never right. I didn't ask for a reduction on my new glasses this summer as it was up to Vision Express to show that they valued my custom. My new glasses this year had to be returned to be altered but it was all dealt with satisfactorily, so the "finished product" is ok.

Had my recent eyetest at Vision Express (St Stephens, Hull) the staff in the store were very accomodating and professional. They appeared to deal with the covid restrictions well and although i did have a bit of a wait i was seen quickly enough given the circumstances. The store was lovely and clean as always and they appeared to have great procedures for cleaning everything down after each customer.

Email says to arrive 5mins before appointment. Did that and was left waiting at the door for over 15mins. I have a crutch and the staff looked at me multiple times and just left me there. When they finally came over they directed me to the seating area to wait. Why could they do that when I arrived? Other than that my visit was okay.

My usual optician didn't have an appointment for well over a month and I was able to book an appointment here within a week. I was seen to quickly when I arrived and got straight on with the test. Ajay ran me through the test and showed me just how ready (overdue!) I was for a new prescription, easy going, professional, couldn't have asked for more really. Jasmine fitted me with some new specs, didn't give the forceful sales pitch that you sometimes get at the optician trying to flog you this and that, just ran me through it, adviced me as best she could and got sorted quickly and painlessly. Very friendly, easy to talk to, great member of staff 👍

These are difficult times for everyone but Vision Express had everything in place to make sure there was no risk to me or others attending. I was greeted at the entrance, where hand sanitiser was available, with a friendly member of staff and shown to a safe seating area. All the staff wore face masks or face shields and every area was thoroughly cleaned ready for the next customers. Vision Express was as they always are very friendly and professional. Anyone waiting to go can be reassured they will be safe and there is nothing to worry about. Thank you Vision Express.

I'm giving this a 5 star because of what the manager does which I think is Emily, basically after having a really bad experience especially customer service but another guy ( bold headed best way to put it ) I think the other manager I'm not sure so I mentioned this to the lady manager and with what she did I couldn't of been happier really as I even rang head office to say it. The lady manager her customer service is above and beyond an amazing lady and cant do enough for you and listens to your problems/issues and sorts them out promptly which I always leave with a smile on my face every time and always says hi when I see her etc etc. Thanks to this lady il always go back here.

Have been going there for years. Getting a new pair of glasses is something I used to feel anxious about, but by time I'm done having my eye test I'm always feeling better since the staff are very nice and friendly and super easy to chat and laugh with that they make me forget about by anxiousness for the new glasses. Even if you aren't exactly sure on what pair of glasses you want the staff are always ready to help you look your best.

Vision Express fitted me in at very very short notice as I am a professional HGV driver and needed a quick appointment for my HGV renewal on my license ( specsavers couldn’t fit me in for 3 months which being a present customer with was appalling ) Needless to say I popped along to Vision Express on my appointment day and was very impressed at the professional way in which I was welcomed, assessed and treated ( covid19 rules and regulations were exemplary with numerous hand cleansing bottles all over the store ) receptionist were very very polite and the optician was very professional in his thorough examination of my eyesight and filling in my D4 Medical Form, needless to say I will now have to wear glasses and all was ordered and paid for with no in store interference ( although they did say that they are available if I need them ) I would highly recommend Vision Express to anybody if your eyesight needs looking at. I booked an eye test for my driving medical at vision express st Stephens ( not tesco the other store ) The optician did an excellent job and found a problem with my retina and advised I must go straight to A+E.........I was very worried .The young lady in the shop was excellent and gave me a letter to take to A+E explaining the problem.
