A refreshing change for me . An airy, pleasant space in which to choose a new pair of glasses. I was made to feel welcome & comfortable,even offered refreshment! Nothing was too much trouble for Harpreet. We looked at a variety of frames, & I was given honest advice & opinion. There was a minor ‘hitch’ with the prescription, but otherwise a very positive experience. I have had many complimentary comments, which hopefully means lots of new custom for you. After the initial fitting, I returned for some adjustments, which were made efficiently & with the minimum fuss. Well done Sask!

My first visit. Eye examination was thorough and, importantly, explanations were clear and detailed. I did not need a new prescription but decided to upgrade my sunglasses which were an older prescription, not varifocals. I was given good advice and now have a pair of rather glamorous specs which will also make for safer driving. Friendly, helpful and well informed service.

He is extremely friendly and actually has a conversation with his patients unlike the other opticians I have come across. I couldn't have been more impressed than I was by the service I received from Sask Optics. The eye test was the most thorough I've ever received. I had been told that I was suffering from 'Age Related macro degeneration ' but didn't really understand what this was. I had been very worried about gradually going blind but was reassured that I needn't worry as my symptoms could've been worse. I was given an amstel chart and it was explained to me that the only time I needed to worry was if the straight lines bent etc. I was also shown the photo that had been taken of the side of my eye that was affected the most but was reassured that it looked worse than it was SO, I relaxed and waited for the 2 pairs of really beautiful glasses I'd chosen. When I went to collect my glasses the frames were as beautiful as I remembered. I had chosen them with the help of the lady, Harpreet, who was now going to fit them for me. I was greeted with a delicious cup of frothy coffee and then Harpreet very carefully made both pairs of glasses fit me perfectly and also told me she thought , when she showed me, in the mirror how I looked, that I had 'great taste' Because of this wonderful service I received, I have no hesitation in awarding Harpreet 11 marks out of 10.

So picked my various glasses up almost two weeks ago. Just wanted to say how pleased I am with them all. This was my first visit to Sask and I was extremely pleased with their service. The eye test was very thorough and I spent a long time afterwards choosing my frames with a lovely lady (sorry have forgotten her name!). She was very helpful and friendly - not to mention patient too. Having had a chance to wear all of them during the past two weeks I could not be happier. We have used Sask Optics for several years, both my children have had their eyes tested there. They do an amazing job! They really do understand children. My children have always enjoyed having their eyes tested. They are extremely thorough, especially as one child has special needs and has always had visual problems. They are very reassuring and are happy to help, nothing is a problem. All the staff are very friendly, I enjoy my chats with them, although my children would harass me to hurry up!! In line with the rest of these reviews, I had a fantastic experience with all the staff at Sask Optics. I was seen within 2 days of requesting an eye test via the web form, emailed my details, and came in. The test was done very efficiently and I also had an optometrists report form filled in for a job application, free of charge. I then tested different frames, completely unrushed despite them being busy, with advice given which wasn't simply pushing me towards the most expensive pair. Collection a week later was also an excellent experience, with the appointment system making it feel an occasion in of its self. Very pleased.

I had my eyes tested at Sask Optics at the beginning of the year. As soon as I walked in the staff were genuinely welcoming and friendly. They spent a considerable time showing me a range of frames without any pressure to buy. A few months later I went back and ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses from them. The experience starts from the receptionist who is professional polite and makes you feel valued right from the start, Well done! Both Optical Technicians were very polite and professional, the 1st Gentleman that assisted me after my initial eye test, spent quality time going through all the options with me with regards to style and lens type, I was never felt rushed through the process. The second Technician who did the final fitting with me was very good and she ensured my glasses fitted correctly and said if I had any problems at all just to pop back in. I came across Sask a few years ago. I popped in and staff were so friendly. I normally take hours choosing pairs but it only took 15minutes to choose two pairs. I had my eye test the other day, again staff friendly. Welcoming environment. Sipped on tea while going through options as there was no feeling of being rushed. Wonderful service from all the Queen's Road team, from my first visit, through testing and advising on frames and lense types, to then going the extra mile to get my new glasses made up before Xmas day. I'd been looking for new Lindbergs for a long time to replace ones bought in Nottingham years ago. Many opticians seem to hold a limited selection and aren't able or keen to get alternatives to try on . Sask have by far the best selection in Leics and they are the friendliest and most accommodating people who listen to what you want. But they will also help to ease you gently out of your comfort zone with good humour and without being pushy if you're willing to try something a bit different. Very highly recommended!

Having a complex prescription requirement (short sighted, lazy eye, double vision) the staff at SASK could not have been more thorough and helpful throughout the entire process. This included searching out specific ultra thin lenses, liaising with frame manufacturers to ensure a good fit and cross consulting with my Orthoptist. Was recommended to your opticians through a relative who uses you. Im from Derby but was assured the trip would be well worth it. The trip was indeed worth it and I was greeted with a hot drink and a warm welcome. The people at your Leicester branch were very polite, professional and offered me numerous choices, whilst offering many options and their professional guidance. Very professional eye tests and very friendly service. Now I need have to wear my glasses all the time style was important as well. I have varifocals with transition lenses by French brand Anne et Valentin. This means I can see in the distance, read close print and the lenses darken in strong light so no more squinting or buying sunglasses. Great selection of “out of the ordinary” quality frames.

Having always assumed that the best and most cost effective service was delivered by Specsavers, I have always avoided independent opticians for fear of bad service from condescending pushy salesmen. On moving into the Clarendon Park area, Sask optics came highly recommended by my daughters school after the teacher pointed out that she was squinting whilst trying to view the whiteboard. On visiting the store I was not disappointed. The store looked great and the service was second to none. Mr. Patel was extremely polite and very professional. His staff were all so nice and we felt at ease as soon as we walked in. Everything was explained very well and I felt extremely comfortable in asking questions. There was no pushy sales pitches and I was not made to feel uncomfortable at any point whilst looking at frames. I felt that the decision was all mine without judgement. Even after my daughter got her glasses I was able to enquire further as & when required. Just picked up beautiful new, light, Lindberg glasses. Once I recovered from 4-hours' worth of computer eyes the world revealed itself with sharp clarity - these lenses really are much better than their hated predecessors. My worry that the redesigned tabloid Guardian's new font was too small disappeared. I also like the help I am getting for chronically dry eyes and am less worried about them than I was. Not cheap but for me well worth it. Staff are nice too.

I met Dan at The Very Thing event, Manor Road, Oadby last November and we had a lovely chat about how much I hated wearing glasses, so much so that I didn't do it even though I actually needed varifocals! Dan invested a considerable amount of time in me, offering me several pairs of unusual frames to try on and look at in the mirror. It was all very relaxed and eventually we both agreed on the same "favourite". I agreed to go into the shop when next on Queens Road and fully intended doing so but before finding the time I was delighted to receive a follow up email by Dan just before Christmas to advise me that my "favourite" frames were actually due to have money off them over the holiday period should I still be interested. So I made an appointment for early January, also taking along my husband who was also well overdue a new and more modern pair. As they say the rest is history as I am now able to see again after many years of "making do" and my husband is also really pleased with his new pair. Well done Dan as nothing was too much trouble for you and the refreshments provided throughout the whole experience (at this point I will share that I tried on every pair in the shop before eventually deciding on my original "favourite" frames) were most welcome!

My son & I were recommended SASK optics for a school dyslexia test. My biggest concern before going was that they would say that there was nothing they could do for my son. I couldn’t have been more wrong! From the moment we entered the test room Mr Patel made some astounding observations about the functioning of his eyes and sight. The test was detailed and a considerable amount of time was spent making sure that his prescription was correct. Also, the type of lense that he would require in his glasses was also discussed in great detail as to which would benefit him the most both in and out of school. Towards the end of the test Mr Patel did a word count check and the results spoke for themselves. The prescription combined with the correct bespoke tint resulted in an enormous increase from about 44 words per minute to 120 with the prescription. The delight and sense of relief, from my son, after the test was palpable! My son loves his new glasses. They have made school work much more accessible and reading music much clearer! I have already recommended SASK to colleagues and family members. I would feel confident encouraging anyone with a dyslexic family member or friend to go and see just how much the right help can make a difference to their lives. It has already had a massive impact on my sons! Thanks SASK team!
