My experience at this opticians was first rate. Very friendly staff who gave advice and answered all my concerns. This created a relationship of trust and reassurance. I had new lenses inserted into an old frame and my glasses were ready to collect in less than a week, much faster than anticipated and they are perfect for my needs., so much so that I actually forget that I am wearing them!! 1st rate opticians, I highly recommend this independent service, so much better than my experience with the more well known large companies!!

I have been a regular with Woodgate Eye Centre for a number of years now, with each visit being top notch. However, today was quite special. My glasses broke so I went to see if they would be able to help on short notice. Despite being very busy, they welcomed my Dad and I extremely warmly, remembering us instantly. They took a look at my glasses, took my details and fished out my prescription from their archives, along with some lenses kept on file. We chose a frame (both staff being extremely helpful and giving frank, friendly, and at time humorous, advice while I tried each pair on) and within 15 minutes my new lenses were in the new frame. Absolutely amazing service, made even more so considering how much they had on and being so close to closing time. 10/10 would recommend to anybody.

Amazing customer service really do go the extra mile and needed some prescription swimming goggles just before going away on holiday within a few days. They managed to ring in advance the distributor to make sure this could happen and they got this in next day even though it was late in the day when I ordered it . Absolutely amazing!! Big THANKS

Very very friendly and nice staff - the receptionist lady was really good and made me feel welcome. The optician was also very professional and patient. He explained all the different lenses and what they did respectively to me. What’s even better - I had two pairs of glasses done and was given an offer! Very friendly team, experience was one I would definitely recommend. They were very helpful in choosing a pair of glasses that suited me and at all times made me feel that my experience was tailor made to my needs without exception. These guys are fantastic. I had lost a lense from my glasses and needed a pair same day as I had no spare pair. My prescription had run out; they accommodated an eye test and making my glasses in less than 1 hour. Angie gave expert advice on which frames suited and took the time needed to find me the perfect pair. Everyone should aim to give service this great.

I had my eyes checked here. I needed to wear glasses all the time now, after my eye test, which I sort of guessed. The staff were really lovely, helpful and explained everything to me and gave me various options to try on. I really didn’t like wearing glasses but the ones I have now I am really pleased with and have a lot of compliments too. The price was very reasonable and included everything, I had varifocals with transition lenses. I am so very pleased with my glasses and the level service I have received. I would recommend them to everyone.

I wanted my new prescription fitted in my favourite frames and a well known national optician were insistent on selling me their own frames. Woodgate were happy to fit my new lenses to my existing frames at a very good price. I am very pleased with what they provided. Their customer service was excellent. I can in having a bit of trouble with my glasses. I was warmly welcomed by Angie. She took me through loads of frames and I got the right pair. I was expecting to wait for a couple of weeks for them, which is what I had experienced from other opticians. Angie called Keith from the back of the shop who then made them there and then. It was so nice to know that they were made in shop. I didn't know this happened anymore. So happy with my specs and the service was fantastic. See you next weeks for my shades 😎😎

I went to the Woodgate Eye Centre with a fairly specific and esoteric set of requirements (complex VDU work). They listened carefully, discussed it through with me and came up with an imaginative solution. They were polite, attentive, imaginative and intelligent. They did what they said they would and provided excellent customer service. Moreover I witnessed the way that they dealt calmly, kindly and effectively with such a wide and diverse customer base. Keith and Angie, keep up the good work - you're doing a great job! Can't fault the service I received from the team at Wyvern. I had my eyes checked at another optician who then offered me a basic single pair of glasses at over £200. I had used Wyvern many years ago and while in town rang, explained what I needed and if they could change the lens in my current glasses. No problem was the answer, I was then cheeky and asked if I brought my spare pair in, would they be able to complete them as well...omg yes. A couple of hours later I had two sets of glasses with my new prescription ready and I was on my way having paid a fraction of the price I would elsewhere. During the time I waited, I had a lesson in optics, fascinating. I never write reviews but just had to on this occasion as this level of service just doesn't happen anymore. Thank you so much.

Unfortunately the parents allowed this to happen while the father was waiting a short time, for his spectacles to be made immediately after his test. As his previous Opticians refused him service. We had no prior knowledge of how disruptive the family would be to other patients and we offer our sincere apologies for the unusual disruption you experienced during your examination and dispense. I've been using this opticians before they moved to their newer location on Narborough road. The staff are always helpful, accommodating and absolutely lovely. Everything is well laid out and the selection caters for all walks of life whatever your budget. I really couldn't fault them!

If you go here ask for Angie, she is good, really good. Very friendly and ridiculously helpful. Helped me pick 4 sets of glasses and I was chuffed to bits. It’s a bit of a minefield out there because there is so much choice but she is there to get through without a drama. It’s my goto place for spectacles.

I was at the opricians for an eye test when the previous reviewer was there. The gentleman had his wife and child with him. He and his wife sat in the chairs and let their child run riot around the building, making no effort to stop him. I did not hear either of them try and take control of the situation. When I was having my eye test, I was distracted by the noise the child was making outside the door. The reception ist, quite rightly asked them to keep their child with them. I had excellent and friendly service and would not hesitate to recommend Woodgate Eye care.

Great service that is tailored to the individual needs of the customer and very reasonable prices. These guys are very knowledgeable and have a lot of experience that is often lacking with the big corporate opticians on the high street.
