Absolutely fantastic opticians. I visited Vision Express, Formby today to ask the optician to check the strength of the lenses in a pair of glasses that I had bought elsewhere some time ago. The gentleman was so helpful and polite. He didn’t charge me for his help for which I was very grateful. It’s so lovely to experience good customer service. I will be going back in the future. He was a credit to Vision Express. Thank you so much.

Very professional optometrist, eyes tested using state of the art equipment . Full eye health check . COVID precautions in place . Everything sanitised. Only draw back is testing equipment steamed up a little due to mask wearing and trying on frames became awkward as any frame tried on had to be sanitised afterwards . It’s also difficult to get a good impression of how the frames look whilst wearing a mask.

Everything seemed okay until I found that Vision Express wanted to charge £69 for putting new lenses in my existing frames, plus £65 for the new lenses. Another local optician only charge for the new lenses.

Needed new glasses quickly as my pair from a certain national competitor fell apart within two years (just like the previous pair). So time to switch optician. Called and had a good chat and booked for the next day. Very efficient and friendly service. Chose frame and now waiting for a call to collect.
