A truly exceptional Optometrist with fabulous, professional, intelligent and attentive staff. Askew Eyewear is a wonderfully presented opticians in a beautiful, bright, airy period building. They really do offer such an outstanding eye test experience, not to mention an incredible, really well thought out on-point selection of stylish frames — you’ll be spoiled for choice excited about getting your new glasses! I have been a dedicated client for 10years, despite the fact it’s further than other optometrists are from my house. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and I’d always want to support such a cool local business.

Professional and kind staff with high levels of expertise. They have a good range of frames and sunglasses. They have a machine which can scan your frames so you can keep your glasses while your new lenses are made which I was grateful for. I always come here for my eye care even though I’ve moved away from the area. Highly recommend.

I've been coming to Askew Eyewear for about 2.5 years now and the service is always great. Friendly staff, professional, and a cute shop. Everything in there is displayed so nicely. I especially like placing an order is easy because you just call and then you get a text message when your contacts are ready to be picked up at your convenience.

First time getting my eyes tested here and I must say it was a very informative session. The optician took the time out to explain every bit of the diagnosis to me, which I really appreciated. Whilst their glasses are not on the on the cheapside, they are beautiful and are of great quality. Ultimately if you want frames that are a bit of a fashion statement, but overall great care - then this is the place for you! (and me)

Not only were the staff here super friendly when I was being incredibly indecisive about which style sunglasses I wanted last year, but they also were kind enough to post me the receipt for my prescription sunnies a year on when I lost them and needed to make an insurance claim! The prices are a bit higher than at Boots/Specsavers, but the service is outstanding to the point I’d say superior, and they have a much nicer range of designer/trendy/classic glasses. They also “get” just how much glasses become an extension of you/self-expression, so they’re very happy to chat with you about what you like, what you do, etc. so they can recommend frames that you’ll really end up loving to wear instead of a pair that you wear just because you need to see. They’re not only about closing sales, they’re more focused on making sure they sell you a product you’ll love and will be happy with. I’ll never buy my prescription specs anywhere else, even though I no longer live in the area.

Askew Eyewear is AMAZING. I've worn contacts since a young age and was horrified at the thought of ever wearing glasses in public. Last year I had a serious issue with my eye and after many trips to Moorfields Eye Hospital and Eye drops later, I wasn't allowed to wear contacts anymore, so, I visited Askew in dire need of help. Tonya was unbelievable from when I first stepped in the door. She listened to my issue, advised on the best course of action and I walked out feeling very relieved. The care you receive from Askew is 5 star. They will pick out frames to suit you and let you try on every single pair in the shop without feeling like you are getting in the way. The opticians in there are wonderful and will spend as much time as necessary testing your vision and giving you expert advice on eye care. I'm now the proud owner of 2 amazing pairs of glasses, which I wear all the time and constantly receive compliments for!! I can't recommend Askew enough.

Great service! This company is so brilliant. I lost my glasses on holiday and they emailed over my prescription so that I could get new glasses made up where I was staying. I didn't get a chance to sort new specs out on holiday but needed them immediately when I returned as was leaving on business 2 days later. As soon as I got back, I went to the shop and picked new frames (they are open on Sundays!). They made them up in under 48 hours and were so helpful. They also helped me pick the best frames and were very patient with my crap decision making skills. I highly recommend Askew. They have also previously adjusted my sunglasses (which were purchased elsewhere) to stop them falling off my face, for free!

I can't recommend Tonya and her team at Askew highly enough. They and she in particular pulled out all the stops when I was massively let down by one of the high street optical chains. Tonya tenaciously fought my corner after my previously optician refused to accept responsibility for a prescription that was inaccurately written down. Excellent service and a real devotion to making sure that the customer has both what they want and need.

This is the best opticians great range of frames and a very good service There are people leaving bad reviews who were not up to working there obviously !!! They have a high standard all the staff are great I wouldn't be happy if a member of staff wasn't capable of their job My new glasses and sun glasses are the best prescription I've ever had and they were on a deal so my sunglasses were half price for prescription lenses Will be changing my old lenses as well

I bought my running sunny's from here and Tonya and the team were amazing. I've worn them for Tri-Athlons, Marathons and general summer running and cycling. They are fantastic, huge thanks for the team who were very patient during my selection process. I've popped in as a customer since then to have my non-sports sunny's repaired, and they fitted screws and did it for free. First class customer service, I will be getting my next pair of sunny's from here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
