I was well looked after on all visits. Dr. Ahmed the optometrist was very thorough and the team in store were very friendly and welcoming which made me comfortable to explore options and recommendations. As someone who will be new to multifocal lenses the store team were detailed in their explanation of how the technology worked, following on from Dr Ahmed's prescription. They were all so kind, upbeat, knowledgable and patient which made my option to thin the lenses by two steps and add the blue light filter thingy so much easier. I can't thank them enough for all their help and assurance. I was so happy that my new glasses arrived before Christmas 🙏🏿😇

Bailey Nelson is the BEST optician I have ever been too! Every single person from shop floor staff to the optometrist Maeve were so friendly, kind and keen to help… their customer service is second to none. Would 100% recommend as the best service I have ever had, but not only that - their styles are gorgeous and so fashionable with very reasonable fair pricing…. Was blown away! They were so lovely and accommodating and I will be coming back again and again. Choosing frames is a big decision, thank you for all of your help - shop staff spent ages helping me pick something that was right for me, and provided lots of helpful recommendations… big thanks from a very happy customer! :)

Great customer service and experience. I couldn't find the shop and called them, and a member of staff came out in the pouring rain and waited outside until I was nearby and waved to me so I could find it. I brought in my glasses which I'd purchased online and we figured out I must have entered my prescription wrong. They were absolutely no quibble about it and said they would replace the lenses with the correct prescription and let me know when I could pick them up. I was expecting a bit of a bureaucratic nightmare thinking they would say I had to return them online, but it was super easy and they were happy to resolve the issue in store.

I brought an old pair of Joyce to have the lenses replaced, excellent in-shop customer service. However the team warned me that this was an old model and could not be replaced in case broken during lens replacement, and all that could be offered if they broke my glasses would be a 20% discount on a new pair. Come on Bailey Nelson, a 20% discount if you break my glasses, that is ridiculous and commercially very disadvantageous to your customers. You can do better. Good thing they did not break it though :)

Really love Bailey Nelson, I’ve got several pairs of optical frames and one pair of sunglasses and they last so well! I just love buying different frames to match outfits! The quality is high considering the reasonable pricing system, free eye-tests and staff have even tighten, straightened my old glasses when they got a bit battered and gave me a new case and complimentary. The staff are so friendly and helpful too. Only consideration for the Spitalfields store is it’s FAR too hot in there even on cooler days, must be very uncomfortable for the staff. Head Office - get your team some air-con!

The staff at BN were exceptionally helpful with a good knowledge and worthwhile opinion on the sorts of styles that suit your particular face. I would definitely return here first before trying anywhere else in future. The collection times for the glasses states 7-10 days, but arrived in 3-4, and that was with relatively complicated lenses.

Had my eye exam at the Old Spitalfields Market branch. Maeve (the Optometrist) was lovely. She explained everything she was doing, what I could expect from each test and she also took the time to explain my results and prescription to me. I did my last eye exam at another place and it felt like they dismissed/ignored some of the issues I had with my vision. Maeve listen to everything and also came back to it at the end, when she explain the result to me. Would definitely go there again. The girls in the store upstairs were also nice and helpful.

Always a pleasure visiting Bailey Nelson in Spitalfields. The staff are all extremely polite and very helpful. All the necessary Covid precautions have been taken and there is plenty of space so easy to keep your distance from people and have a good look at the frames available. It is more pricey than high street opticians but you really get very good service and high quality frames. Besides, the eye check up is free so money is being saved there. Overall a great place to go for your glasses.

Had a really enjoyable experience choosing a new pair of frames. The process of whittling down a number of frames was made a lot more easier and comfortable by two very helpful staff members, Heena and Maeve. Love this store and the range of frames. I booked in for a free eye test and the optometrist was really easy going and friendly. After my test they let me go through the entire shop and try on alllll the things. I'm so indecisive so I appreciated that they left me to my faffing around and gave me proper advice on whether things suited me or not. I felt really comfortable and not rushed even though I booked a particular slot (at the end of the day). My glasses were delivered to the store a week after my appointment and I went in to get them fitted. The staff were so great and happily made little adjustments until I was happy. I am so happy Bailey Nelson returned to Spitalfields. This is my absolutely favourite glasses shop. Since 2016 I have not bought glasses anywhere else. I now have 6 or more pairs from them and they are brilliant. This time my husband and I had both an eye test and bought 4 pairs of glasses. The eye test was extremely professional. The atmosphere in the shop is very relaxed (you don't feel pressured to buy). The stiles they have are current and fun. Of course one of the appeal is that their glasses are significantly more affordable than other brands. I would say their quality is fantastic, regardless.

I've shopped with B.N for the past 7 years (I brought my first pair in Melbourne) but this was my first time going for an eye test. The whole process from booking my eye test appointment to going into store for the appointment was seamless. The optician was friendly and really thorough with the examination. When it came to choosing glasses, there was no pressure from the sales team and they let me look at the product independently and at my own pace. I didn't intend on buying new specs but I ended up purchasing a new pair, which I love. The whole experience was good. The shop is set up very practically for covid measures, which I thought was great. Overall I can't recommend Bailey Nelson enough.

Having found BN in Oz and had a good in store experience, I was pleased to find two branches in London. My review is for in-store at Old Spitalfields. I popped in one evening, enough though I read online that you needed an appointment, just to have a browse. Leena (hope that's how you spell your name) is magnificent. She spent ages with me understanding my issues (I need alternative fit glasses due to low nose bridge and high cheekbones). Despite her job being made a little easier as BN offer to install nose pads on acrylic glasses, she was confident in suggestions and in her feedback on what suited me and why. I promptly went home and booked to have an eye test (as my one recently was done in about 3minutes so not entirely convinced it was accurate), which was done so well in terms of rechecking I was sure that something was actually better and explaining why I might be having issues with eye. She even asked if I'd cut my eye as she could see a scar - no-one has ever asked before and it's about 9 years old. It's the little things that reassure you that they are paying attention. BTW, BN offer free eye tests at the time of writing this review so they have even less incentive to go above and beyond. I look forward to receiving and getting my glasses fitted.

A really friendly (free!) and quick eye test, all explained really clearly and well. Not in the slightest uncomfortable! And the try on service was fab. All CV-19 rules adhered to. And I was also offered a space to try frames on without a mask. The lovely lady in the shop helped me choose my frames in the end (choice dilema!!). Would highly recommend. I came for an eye test yesterday (20/02/20) for which upon arrival, staff members were welcoming and efficient. The test itself was quick and informative (I never knew that you could have visual migraines - which was what I was experiencing a few months prior) and I was in and out of the store in under an hour. For me personally, the prices for my glasses were a little bit out of my price range, but understand why they are priced as such; each design are made to detail/with a lot of thought put into it. To also note: they also have a pay plan (found this out online today) where you can spread the cost over a period of time (subject to eligibility). I'd definitely would buy a few pairs of glasses and would also recommend this place to a friend.
