I've been wearing glasses all my life and this was the best opticians experience I've had. Made the switch from a previous opticians following my mum receiving amazing service at their Earlham store. Originally booked an appointment a few weeks in advance, but after damaging my current pair, they were very lovely to offer me a last minute appointment. I had a very thorough eye test and was asked through the whole process which was interesting. After I was assisted in purchasing of frames and offered expert style advice. My glasses were ready to collect in five days to my surprise and I had a good experience on pick up too. Amazing and friendly staff who are knowledgeable and there no hidden costs. Will buy again.

I loved everything about my experience at Cubitts - Coal Drops Yard. I was initially worried it was too ‘hipster’ and got a little nervous about going in but everyone was really friendly and welcoming. The optometrist that did my eye exam was incredibly informative and patient with me. I really appreciated the way they took their time to explain and make sure I was comfortable. The sales staff were great and could tell I was a bit more of a hands off person and let me go at my own pace and settle on frames I liked without hovering over me. My glasses arrived in store in good time and staff helped me adjust them so they fit properly. I would recommend Cubitts if you want a boutique like feel to your eye tests and feel your glasses are more of a fashion statement than a necessity (they are expensive but beautiful, so you don’t want to lose these). I love my glasses and get many compliments on them!

I went to pick up a pair of sunglasses at the Coal Drops store on an exceptionally busy Saturday afternoon. The staff member who assisted me was friendly and accommodating - in spite of me being in a hurry! I should also mention the sunglasses were ordered online and were ready days before the lead time suggested they would be. Very pleased with my chic new shades and the service from Cubitts.

Cubitts has made needing an eye test and new glasses a pleasure! Their frames are excellent quality, reasonably (and clearly!) priced and so comfortable! Great clip on options too. I managed to get an eye test and try on session for my husband between Lockdowns 1 and 2. The Cubitt's staff were so nice and patient with us, the whole process felt really Covid safe with strict procedures on trying on and disinfecting that felt really reassuring. Glasses arrived 7 days later. Husband can see, and I fancy him loads in his new Cubitts specs. Highly recommend!

I visited Cubitts yesterday for the first time, it couldn’t have been a more enjoyable productive experience! The building it brilliantly designed so easy to walk around and have access to the many glasses. The glasses designs are lovely, if money hadn’t been an issue I could have chosen many pairs in different colours and designs. The above alone would get a 5 star review from me, but then you also get the staff who were truly wonderful!!!! They manage to deliver the perfect balance between being extremely helpful but also let you wonder around for as long as you like trying on different pairs. Then when you are ready they offer their professional opinion to make sure what you have chosen will work for you. Thank you all so much. I am so looking forward to getting my glasses!

Can't recommend Cubitts' service highly enough. Was very impressed when I purchased the glasses about a year ago, and was recently really pleased with their efficient repairs service when I sat on the frames and broke them. Certain to purchase another set of frames from them soon.

Today was my second visit to Cubbitts since purchasing my first pair of glasses from them two years ago. Eye-test was great, the operative was lovely and couldn't be more helpful. Store team was vey welcoming and altogether provided a very a nice experience. Would definitely recommend- they make you feel more valued than one of the mainstream optics retailers.

Up-to-the-minute style, variety, and quality- but with good, old-fashioned service. Alex & colleagues at Coal Drop are efficient, quick, courteous. The product is always 'accurate first time'- not always the case with many opticians i've used in the past. And they even changed some lenses into new frames that i'd provided myself, free of charge.

Brilliant service from start to finish. Communication and customer service is always amazing - they respond to my emails really quickly whenever I have any questions, and when I wasn't happy with the size of my frames they were more than happy to assist me with changing them. They are slightly more expensive than Specsavers/Boots etc but in my opinion totally worth it. Plus the designs are beautiful.

Got an eye exam from Dipa at CDY. She was an absolute delight, was very clear and explained everything to me in detail (let's not even get into how intrinsically cool she is as a person). I was a little late and she was very gracious about it. After my test, Josh, Paul and Emily were very helpful and (most importantly) truthful when I picked out my glasses. Had a great experience in the store. From the eye test with Dipa, straight through to the choosing the frames with the manager Paul. Dipa was extremely thorough and it has to be the best sight test I’ve ever had. Paul was extremely knowledgable, patient and honest when helping me choose the perfect pair for me. I don't usually write reviews, at all, but this was the most immersive experience of buying glasses I've ever been involved in and i just had to acknowledge it. From the thorough eye test done by Kaajal, to the choice, measurements and options done by Paul. I have to say that Paul was extremely informative and incredible patient when helping me choose the right frames for me. They have the latest equipment so you can be sure you're getting a comprehensive eye test from an experienced optician who explained everything very clearly. I came in the other week with an issue with my frames. Paul was so helpful and fixed my problem in an instant. It was brilliant to just be treated like a human and not second guessed. I had my eye test there earlier today, it was super easy to book online and the Optometrist was very thorough and friendly. I felt comfortable and the time went by quick. Eye test fees are fair at only £25, would come back again.

Great experience. Love that all the styles come in all the colours, so you have a genuine choice and a chance to get what works for you not just what's available. Service was brilliant, I was served by Paul, he helped a lot with advice not just on what might suit me but being honest enough to tell me what didn't suit me (and in the right way obviously). Couldn't recommend enough, give them a try.
