Kim, the man who did my eye test, took time to explain what he was doing, and the results of my examination - thorough, friendly and clear. As I bought frames from them, they kindly gave me a £50 discount and waived the cost of the examination. Highly recommended.

H. B. D. F.Another pair of fantastic frames from Eye Contacts where I've been going to for 10 years now. I am in my forties and very happy that I know my glasses make me look good.
They have superb unique designer frames which are better made but the same price as somewhere like Vision Express so it ends up costing the same! If you're in any doubt about choosing frames that suit you, Jon the owner has an excellent eye. At least three times the first pair he's chosen are the ones I've bought.
Also as a regular customer I never pay for my eyetest and get all sorts of discounts to make the cost more affordable (eg free +1 lenses in my old frames to wear for reading when I'm using my contacts - I am very short-sighted -7!) so don't think designer glasses are too expensive for you. All of their frames are truly original and there's something for everyone - don't let the size of the store deter you.
The optician will explain exactly what's happening with your eyes which can be confusing when you reach your forties. Rest assured you are in safe and stylish hands :)
T.Recently got eye tested and bought glasses here. Their staff and service is excellent, I met them a number of years ago, and travelled from the other side of London just to see them and I was not disappointed.
The eye test was very well done, being talked through the whole process as I wanted to know more about the ins and outs!
I was assisted with selecting the glasses by the owner who is a charming man with a highly skilled eye for style!
The other staff who helped me on my way were extremely friendly and was some of the best service I have ever experienced from retail. I was kept up to date and treated with great respect. If I could rate them 6 stars I would.

I have a complex prescription and Kim (the optician) has always taken his time and paid great attention to detail to make sure it is spot on. Jonathan is great at selecting a good looking frame that suits and has always made sure I walk out the shop totally happy with my purchase. His assistants have been really helpful too.
