We have been using Focal Point as a family of 3 different generations and what you get there is the personable service found lacking in a the franchise shops. Loyalty goes both ways and when you see what the staff dealt with over the past 2 years of COVID, you have to respect how well they managed to keep their cool when others were not. 🙏

I have been getting my glasses and contact lenses from Focalpoint for well over 20 years and even after moving away from Barnes always go back to them. Why? Quality products and consistent high attention service from all the staff, led by Sandra. I wouldn't trust my eyes to anywhere else.

Focal point are Brilliant! They offer a high quality and very personal service. When I had an accident on a tennis court several years ago and damaged my eye they were quick to take up the job of checking the pressure in that eye as recommended by the opthalmologist who treated me, which was very reassuring. They take great care to get to know their clients, and as a result their customers stay with them for many years. I was originally introduced to them by a friend who has never actually lived in Barnes but even when she moved to Cambridge she still went back to them! I also get lots of compliments on my glasses, and even more importantly I can actually see!

Having had a couple of bad experiences with one of the larger chain opticians (wrong prescription, twice!), I decided to try this highly recommended independent Optician instead and I was really impressed. Their Covid cleaning practices were excellent, my eye test was spot on and the difference in the glasses I bought and my former ones was astonishing. They're not as cheap as the larger opticians nor is there as much choice but I've realised that as it's incredibly important to look after your eyes, then maybe splashing out a bit more is worth doing . Highly recommended.

I am very satisfied with all my glasses from Focalpoint. I decided it was worth paying more for my perscription reading and distance glasses because I was fed up with the frames of cheaper glasses breaking or stretching. I chose to have individual glasses rather than bifocals. The service was good and efficient.

Impeccable, friendly service. The staff are knowledgeable and not afraid to give their opinion: if they think you have chosen the wrong frame they will say so, and more importantly, will say why. I’ve worn spectacles for many years, and I regret not discovering Focalpoint much earlier. I went in today to just give a pot of my glasses over to the ladies who worked there as the temple had come off and I lost the screw. Straight away they took the glasses and fixed them in minutes for no cost! Fantastic service. Following the retirementof my own opticians in Chiswick I went to Focal Point Otpicians in Barnes whom I have had a business relationship for a number of years looking after their computers. All the staff were super friendly, couldn't do enough for me to ensure that my purchase of prescription sunglasses went without a hitch. I had an eye test just to be sure and then the new prescription sunglasess were made up for me in a very short space of time. First class service from the estimable Sandra. My specs, acquired a year or so ago, showed signs of the inner coating wearing off. Sandra identified the problem immediately, called up the supplier there and then, instant agreement to replace lenses, email a few day later, into the shop, lenses replaced on the spot. No argument, no debate, no delay. Now I know why I didn’t go to Specsavers.

More than a five star opticians, after experiencing problems with two previous opticians, I went to Focalpoint expecting more of the same, how wrong I was. They didn’t just go the extra mile, they went as far as Germany to get my prescription made. A superb customer service combined with a superb product, I’m so happy I found them, which is why I’m so happy to promote them.
