This is on behalf of my wife and myself Both my wife and myself recently had our cataracts removed at this practise. We also have had intraocular lenses fitted. The first contact with the consultants PA ,Debbie, was very informative and helpful. Our experience of her was that she couldn’t have done more. Both our experience of the consultation with Mr Sharma put us at ease. He went through the procedures thoroughly which left us feeling incredibly confident, there was nothing unturned. We have both had the procedures some weeks ago and I can only describe it as a little miracle. We can read the small print on anything without the worry or inconvenience of glasses. Because of this new eye sight I now see that my shaving as been far from perfect until now, why haven’t I had it done sooner. Thanks and kind regards to all the staff . I went to see Mr. Sharma as a Glaucoma suspect and can only recommend his expertise! He explained my eye pressure to me, as well as corneal thickness, and was able to calm my heaps of anxiety. I will now be monitored and I am considering SLT treatment in a few months, there is no other place I would go to for this and I am truly happy to have found Mr. Sharma. Besides this, the clinic is beautiful and very clean, especially during Covid-19. It felt safe to go there during the pandemic, and my temperature was checked at the reception. Overall I can only recommend this clinic, if you discover that you have high eye pressure - please get it checked out. In my opinion this is the best clinic you will find in London!

Wonderful experience. Mr Vik Sharma is a brilliant consultant and a leading expert in his field. He is incredibly good at putting you at ease and is so calm and patient. After a thorough eye examination, my condition was diagnosed and Mr Sharma explained the most effective treatment options available to me. His advice was reassuring, clear and balanced with no pressure to make a decision on the spot. I am very pleased to write about my experience relating to my sight correcting surgery ( both eyes - phacoemulsification + HD IOL) carried out by Mr Vik Sharma in November 2018. My initial apprehension and anxiety about the surgery was quickly addressed by Mr Sharma in the way he explained very carefully the whole process ( from the initial consultation to surgery and post operative recovery) and procedure using non-technical complex medical terms, making clear the associated risks and the recovery period. He answered all my questions and did not at any point put pressure on me to make decisions until I was fully satisfied and ready to proceed. He has has very strong emphatic skills and a natural warm and friendly manner. The whole process has been professionally and skill fully applied with total regard for my well being - by Mr Vik Sharma - the surgery has given me 20:20 vision and I now longer need to rely on spectacles, or contact lenses - it’s an absolutely wonderful feeling for me it’s like a miracle! I would also like to thank Mr Sharma’s team particularly Debbie for her prompt follow up on all my queries. The theatre staff were also amazing in helping me to stay relaxed throughout. I was very happy with my treatment at Mr Sharma’s clinic especially because he took the time to explain everything that was being done and what to expect after wards. I must say his assistant Debbie was very friendly and attentive. All together a very satisfactory experience.

Life changing. I've had problems with my eyes all my life: high myopia since I was a child, then glaucoma in my left eye a few years ago, and last year, I was also diagnosed with cataracts. This on top of slight astigmatism, very pronounced double vision, and vision field loss in my left eye meant I was really struggling to see. It got so bad I thought I might have to give up my job, and my optician said she couldn't help me anymore - my eyes were too bad for contact lenses to work, and surgery was the only option. I was incredibly fortunate that Mr Sharma is my glaucoma consultant anyway, so when I went to him to ask if he could refer me for laser surgery, he explained that wasn't a procedure I could have, owing to a multitude of factors - but that I could have IOL implants that would give me sight at least as good as with contact lenses, and probably better. He was and is extremely patient. Each time I saw him, I was armed with a list of questions, and he went through everything with me very clearly, and explained all the different lens options, and all the risks. When it came to the actual surgery, the nurses were so friendly and sympathetic. The surgery itself was completely painless - all you really feel is pressure on the eye for about 15 minutes. It's a little uncomfortable immediately after surgery for maybe 2 hours, but after the drops, it feels a lot better - and the very next day I had clear sight. I had EDOF IOLs, which means it gives you some distance, and also 'social' middle distance, but I was expecting to need reading glasses. However, I found miraculously after surgery I had not only excellent distance vision, but also perfectly adequate reading vision in my right eye too. The sense of freedom and relief in being able to open my eyes when I wake, and actually see, is amazing. I would absolutely recommend this procedure to anyone - it's truly life changing.
